Tales of the Decade

Epilogue: The Everlasting Journey

Just another peaceful day in this lovely world as a small row of people are waiting in line to enter the best coffee/mini restaurant that is also a photo/camera shop. A group of people are finally able to enter and are welcomed by Natsumi, dressed in a lovely maid outfit as did Layla the Absol. Both girls bow down politely.

''Welcome to Hikari Studio! How can we help you today?'' Natsumi asks her customers with a wink while Layla barks, smiling. ''Absol!''

The customers blush and nod wanting to get their photo taken. Natsumi smiles gladly as she shows them where. She then sighs as there's a lot more people than she'll want and will need help. She eyes the Absol and asks her. ''Have you seen Tsukasa-kun, Layla-chan?''

''Absol!'' Layla barks not seeing him all day. Natsumi sighs, thinking that probably Tsukasa is avoiding doing any work. He lives here and he has to do the same work like everyone here.

She walks into the kitchen, seeing Dragonic making the meals for the current customers waiting.

''Dragonic?'' She calls out politely as the purple dragon turns, using his tail to do the cooking. ''Have you seen Tsukasa-kun?''

Dragonic blinks not seeing him today. Natsumi sighs as the dragon proclaims smiling. ''I'll go find him.''

Natsumi thanks him smiling before she leaves to attend to the other customers. Dragonic closes up the kitchen and focuses on Tsukasa's aura, not sensing him in this world. He then pokes his finger into the wall and rips open a portal, a Dimension Break. He walks inside, finding himself in a dimension that resembles space but even brighter and colorful.

Sniffing with his dragon snout, the dragon begins tracking down Tsukasa's scent.

''Wonder where he gone to?'' Dragonic questions why Tsukasa is traveling alone without a heads up. He finds his scent and startles where he was. ''No…''

He flies at top speed, flying to the first of many worlds that Tsukasa has gone to: the alternative worlds of the World of Natsumi.

Traveling into different parallel worlds of Natsumi's world, Dragonic arrives at an abandoned Hikari Studio where Tsukasa was. He stands there, looking at the darkened, abandoned studio. The brown haired male looks at an old, busted photo of Natsumi with her grandfather and even her parents.

Sighing, Dragonic approaches him as he proclaims. ''I had to find you after visiting the parallel timelines of Natsumi's world- I mean the New World of Decade.''

Tsukasa doesn't respond as he turns to face the dragon. Dragonic, adjusting his fedora hat, soon questions the human with one eye. ''Why did you go to so many alternative worlds?''

Putting the photo on the uncleaned table, Tsukasa answers him. ''Sayo told me something when I was able to see her again.''

He recalls how Sayo was serious about him being needed by Natsumi as if he was important for her. Tsukasa eyes him and tells the dragon. ''She said Natsumi needed me. I didn't understand it at the moment but the more I thought about it… I became curious.''

Now not worried about infecting other worlds, Tsukasa went alone to explore the alternative worlds that exist within each world. Dragonic is impressed that Tsukasa is aware of the idea of worlds within worlds to such a degree.

''So I went to every world, every different version of Natsumi's life if she ever met me.'' Tsukasa admits having seen or been in those worlds and each one different in one way to the other.

''… And?'' Dragonic questions him, almost somber, as if he knows what Tsukasa saw.

''… In some worlds, her grandfather never died and her parents never died either. She was happy having her family.'' Tsukasa reveals to the dragon, seeing how happy some of those other Natsumi versions are with some or all of their family. He was happy to see her like that… until he saw the rest of the alternative worlds. ''But then in the rest, the majority, she killed herself…''

''…'' Silence between the two, Dragonic sighs figuring as much. Tsukasa actually frowns gloomy, having come to a world that Natsumi killed herself, unable to live on. He looks down even darker, expressing upset. ''She had lost her family and life was too hard for her. In a few worlds, she tried to fight pass it, she went far… but they and the rest of those words ended with her taking her own life.''

Dragonic frowns as his fedora hat covers his upper head, mainly his eyes. Tsukasa looks down at him and asks him. ''Why Dragonic?''

The purple dragon looks at the shaken fists of Tsukasa, further questioning mad with a face of dread. ''Why would she end her life? Would my Natsumikan…''

Just hesitating, Tsukasa realizes if he did die-die… would she kill herself too.

''Would she end her life if we never met?'' He asks the dragon, crushed at the idea if she did something like that.

Dragonic doesn't answer at first, frowning too. He's… seen his own share of deaths, of those he cared for and them dying or losing all life. He looks down at his claws; limbs that don't age nor does he. He can't age or die by aging but at the same time sees the lives of others die before they could live longer lives. And at times, be unable to do anything as those he cares for do die by a monster that should die but like himself; he can't ever die. His status as the Immortal Dragon is false; he's more like the Cursed Dragon that brings death to those he gets close to.

Snapping out, Dragonic breathes as he finally speaks up. ''Life… is cruel. And fate is cruel.''

He looks up at Tsukasa with a burning glow in his red, dragon eyes.

''Life and fate toy with us, they take away people we love and those we will never see again while creating new obstacles and monsters…'' Dragonic begins to express, having seen all his share of deaths and aware that the life of someone will eventually end. It's not fair to lose someone you don't want to see vanish before your eyes and it becomes harder to live afterwards but Dragonic learned one thing; one mustn't succumb to despair.

He eyes Tsukasa with the same fiery glow in his eyes and tells him with a passionate voice. ''But we fight forward, believing in the small speck of hope for our futures and the memory of those who will never leave our hearts.''

Tsukasa looks down for a moment, reminded of how strong Sayo was when they met again. She must have that same hope Dragonic is talking about; a desire to not give up even if she lost her life.

''Natsumi-kun is the same. Her hope is that she doesn't want to live a life alone.'' Tsukasa startles looking at Dragonic, theorizing with a small smile. ''I think that's why she accepted you when you two first met. She didn't want to be alone as much as you didn't want to be alone either.''

Tsukasa eyes him, not realizing it until now. He always figured since he paid well, Natsumi wouldn't kick him out. But now, it makes sense.

''In a way, you two fit each other's missing parts to make a home, to create a happy future for each other.'' Dragonic proclaims with a soft smile, believing the two were meant to complete the other's missing hearts.

Tsukasa soon cracks a chuckle, eyeing the dragon. He soon taunts the dragon, getting the idea why he's immortal. ''Wisdom with years to pack huh?''

Dragonic just grins at his comment, responding. ''Yep!''

Adjusting his outfit and hat, the dragon soon asks the human. ''So shall we go back?''

Tsukasa nods as Dragonic turns and walks to the exit first. Tsukasa looks around the broken down studio as he reaches inside his blazer and pulls out a red rose. He places it on the table next to the photo of this world's Natsumi before walking out.

''Say Dragonic.'' Tsukasa begins to ask as the two exit out of the abandoned building. ''Why did you help us?''

Dragonic blinks, turning and looking up at Tsukasa. He slowly smiles a bit, responding strongly but kind. ''Because I like to help others. It would be boring if I didn't.''

Tsukasa scoffs, smirking, getting the gist of it. He looks around him and asks him as he creates an Aurora Curtain in front of them. ''So when are you leaving back to your world?''

''Hmm… I have time, no real rush.'' Dragonic simply responds as the two walk inside the portal.

Tsukasa and Dragonic return to their main world just outside Hikari Studio. They notice that the day is becoming sunset.

''There you two are!'' The two blink to see Natsumi walking out of the studio in her regular clothes with Layla next to her.

Natsumi gives a firm gaze at Tsukasa, wanting a response where he went. Tsukasa scoffs as he answers her carefree. ''Sorry, wanted to check something out.''

''HMM…'' Natsumi hums deeply suspicious but believes him nonetheless. She nods as she then eyes the dragon and says changing the subject. ''Okay, but Dragonic if you're staying and eating our food, you need to pay.''

Dragonic nods accepting those terms as he says. ''I am helping so call us-''

Tsukasa then gets an idea, smirking as he snaps his fingers and interrupts. ''You know Natsumikan, there is a way Dragonic can pay us back.''

The dragon makes a worrying face eyeing him. Natsumi blinks as Tsukasa proclaims, pointing his finger down at the dragon. ''How about taking us to your world?''

Dragonic soon startles in surprise, uttering out. ''Mines?''

Natsumi gasps just forgetting that Dragonic does have his own world.

''Eh…'' The purple dragon mutters worryingly trying to get himself out of this situation but Natsumi expresses happily, clapping her hands. ''I like that idea!''

''Absol!'' Layla barks in agreement, wanting to see his world too. Natsumi then sweat drops, realizing something and asks the dragon. ''Wait, what is your world anyway? It's not a Rider world so what is it?''

Dragonic sweats even more worrying, adjusting his fedora hat.

''It's… complicated. I'll tell you two-'' Dragonic begins to say to the two humans and immediately corrects himself, forgetting about Layla. ''Three of you this.''

Layla smiles, happy to be included. Tsukasa and Natsumi hum, staring down at the dragon for what he has in mind. Dragonic tries to think of something not wanting to take them to his world, at least not yet… not when he is still out there. And then it hit him.

''How about we first help Tsukasa-kun get stronger.'' The dragon suggests the group's confusion. Natsumi sweat drops not seeing the point but Tsukasa is curious about it, questioning the dragon. ''I can get stronger?''

Smirking in secret, Dragonic nods as he states with a confident smirk. ''I bet you would find it a thrill to visit the Showa A.R. Worlds, no?''

Now that got Tsukasa's interest with Natsumi asking now inquisitive. ''You mean the riders before Kuuga's time?''

Layla blinks, not aware there are more riders out there. Natsumi knew because Tsukasa told her through the Decadriver.

''The original Kamen Riders…'' Tsukasa mutters even more excited to see those worlds, the stories of those riders and become part of their stories. He smirks at the idea, accepting the offer. ''Sounds fun.''

Natsumi nods in agreement, also wanting to explore other worlds too. Layla barks feeling the same as she'll be useful to prevent any disasters. Most importantly, Tsukasa could gain the power of the Showa Riders… and make sure if Kaito is out there to not get his way stealing from others.

''Then what are we waiting for?!'' Dragonic declares excitedly, really glad this worked out in his favor, as he asks them. ''Now which world should we go to first? Amazon? Strong? X? Black?''

Actually spinning around excitedly, Dragonic then proclaims with his tiny sleeved dragon arms wide. "After all, this journey is everlasting!"

Natsumi sweat drops really not sure so while Tsukasa scoffs with a cocky smirk, declaring. ''Lead the way, dragon.''

The purple dragon smirks as he takes flight and flies back to the house. The group follows him inside as they see the dragon flying to the rope for the backdrop screen. As he grips on it, Dragonic pulls the rope down once as the backdrop glows and changes, becoming a new image that shows the image of two different worlds.

The Hikari Studio shakes as the building teleports to its next destination.

Natsumi smiles excited for a new journey though she is still curious about Dragonic's world, asking him once more. ''But Dragonic-kun, what is your world? Is it like this one or?''

Dragonic hums moving away from the rope as he faces them.

''My world…'' The dragon mutters out, adjusting his fedora hat. He knows this journey is only temporary but… he does want to take them to his world, yet... he can't.

Smiling, the dragon chuckles a bit as he answers them. ''My world is the world where a Marvelous Hope will one day appear, guided by the heroic knight with a dragon's soul who will defeat Despair. My world is the World of the Dragon Knight.''

The group is startled to hear all of that. Dragonic laughs a bit too excited as he then says smiling. ''But that's for another day!''

Natsumi smiles even more excited to visit that world one day. Tsukasa honestly feels the same and probably a bit more curious.

''The World of the Dragon Knight; Dragonic's world huh?'' Tsukasa tells himself mentally as he touches the ends of his camera. He can't help himself but smirk excitedly for that day he will visit that world.

''Sayo, let's both see that world, together.'' Tsukasa proclaims proudly as he takes a step forward and for a brief moment the spirit of Sayo floats beside his older brother, always protecting him and visiting the many-many worlds, together.

Meanwhile, in another world similar to Natsumi's, is a world conquered. The people of this world obey one and only one with posters, symbols and statues having one word speaking: Obey and hail to Dai-Shocker!

Within a large palace with the emblem of a massive eagle gripping on the symbol of the world in its talons, a figure walks through an evil-looking hallway. It is a man with black hair and wearing a white business suit with a black vest with tie underneath a white collar neck shirt and a pair of black shoes.

''EEEIIII!'' Shrieking, almost not human, are a group of black, skin tight but more like part of their skin figures with skull-like themes almost like they are monsters but still resembling like humans. Their face is covered by a skintight face that was part of their body too with skull-like figures too and crimson red, monster eyes. Each one in a row raised their right arms up high for the man.

''…'' The man, silent by their shrieking, continues walking down the hallway till he reaches a metal door. It opens up as he walks in, finding himself in a dreadful, and evil looking throne room with only one bright light over the throne. Sitting on the throne is a male figure, with his arms crossed to each other and his fingers tented to each other.

The man in white kneels down on one leg, his head bowing down before him.

''What is your report, Apollogeist?'' The male figure speaks, his voice rather familiar, questioning the man down before him while still tenting his fingers.

The man, Apollogeist, coughs as he begins to inform the man on the throne. ''My apologies, Great Leader. It seems we detected a temporary, highly dangerous spatial distortion that well…''

Apollogeist hesitates for a moment until the Great Leader orders him. ''Go on.''

Gulping, the man nods, answering him. ''We believe it was Narutaki's doing.''

The man on the throne snarls at this, uttering out as his fingers squeezed tighter. ''That old fool thinks too highly of himself. I will-''

''No need, Great Leader.'' Apollogeist speaks up, looking up humble at his leader as he further reveals. ''Narutaki… he is dead.''

Silence echoes the room as the man in the throne room relaxes a bit and immediately questions him, fully certain dead means killed. ''… Who? Who killed Narutaki?''

Gulping, Apollogeist reveals to him concerned. ''We detected a Decadriver so-''

''I see.'' The Great Leader responds with a slight chuckle, having a feeling it was his doing. Apollogeist nods firmly as he informs his leader. ''It is located across that side of the Multiverse. So it's likely that it's that Multiverse's Decade.''

The Great Leader hums also most certain about it before he proclaims. ''I believe now it's a good time to conquer all of the Multiverse. Prepare the troops.''

Surprised, the man smirks at his leader and stands up, declaring. ''At once!''

He turns around to prepare the forces but before he could leave the room, his leader stops him by speaking. ''Oh and Apollogeist.''

The man stops and turns, staring at the dark shadow covering his leader's face as he instructs him. ''Make sure if Kaito is hiding in that Multiverse too. If he is, you know what to do.''

''Yes, Great Leader!'' Apollogeist proclaims raising his right arm up to him. He then turns and walks out of the room as the door opens to let him leave and closes once he leaves.

Alone, the man on the throne chair once more snickers a bit, not expecting these series of events. He was hoping to deal with that fool Narutaki himself but now he's much more excited for the one who beat him.

''Another Decade huh?'' The Great Leader utters out, moving his arms apart as his right hand reaches into his vest-like uniform. He pulls out something, a card as he stares at it.

''I look forward meeting you…'' He begins saying as he moves his right hand on the arm handle of the throne chair and taps the card on it on the edge. The card was a Rider Card with an image and a name that the light was able to shine on: Kamen Rider Dark Decade. ''Tsukasa Kadoya.''

To be Continued

GOD ANOTHER GOOD TITLE!

Author's Note: Time to clarify things:

1) To confirm it again, the World of Natsumi is now the new World of Decade. Who knew? It works.

2) Just like the Decade Novel… yea, the Natsumi in the novel was sort of… dead, because she died by suicide… YEA DARK. So for this, Tsukasa went to many alternative timelines of a Natsumi who never met him. Some of the time she has her family alive, her parents just alive, her grandfather alive… but the majority of the time, she… kills herself. Why? Well… because like Dragonic said: Natsumi doesn't want to live a life where she has no one. It becomes too hard for her and… yea. So in every way, Tsukasa's existence gives Natsumi hope, a purpose to move forward. Fate is cruel, but it made sure that Tsukasa would always meet Natsumi. So in a way, they help each other. It is SUPER dark but well this is the canon timeline so... Happy ending?!

3) Oh the World of the Dragon Knight?! HMM... I wonder what's that about?

4) The World of Negative is a thing… and a world where Dai-Shocker exists… Also yes, I did update the Shocker Soldiers to not look like ridiculous costume idiots. I mean people still like that but for this, let us make them menacingly...

5) And a world where Kamen Rider Dark Decade exists. Yes… that means one thing!

Speaking off, yes! YES. Tales of the Decade will have a Season 2. And boy will this be more of a fanfic due to no A.R. Worlds of W to Zi-O.

Now you might be expecting the Showa Era A.R. Riders instead… eh no. No offense but I haven't watched the Showa era, know so little about it, and I don't expect to watch them (anytime soon) but if anyone that has watched and knows the Showa Era very well, give it a shot. I am giving you the chance to do a Tales of the Decade Showa Season.

Rules: You need to know the Showa era crazy good, Dragonic included, Absol/Layla included, Kaito included because dud, you must keep me inform of each chapter and the final chapters need to be around the World of Ichigo so Kamen Rider 1, 2 and V3 will be the final riders (because SPOILER the prologue of Season 2 will have the 3 riders with Decade defeating a monster together).

PM me and we'll talk.

Now then, what will Season 2 of Tales- Heisei Phase 2, dud. SO YEA… W through Zi-O. How will I handle Zi-O… I have a plan. The others, I'll need a lot of help. I need A.R. idea for W to Build. I will ask from you, my readers and reviewers to give me ideas for the A.R. Worlds of W to Build. Every idea helps! Short and simple also helps.

When will I upload and begin Season 2 of Tales of the Decade? I'm honestly not sure. I will say a year from now (more or so, could be a year or a year and a few months). If not, less than a year. Why? I'm just busy with my writing commission story business, the responsibilities my mother left me to do alone and also doing DKR (about to end Volume 5 and need to do Volume 6) so I have little time to do a lot. Still, I will do Season 2! That won't change!

Season 2 will be insane, that's all I will say and hints what it could be based on have already been revealed. Just remember Narutaki's origins and Dai-Shocker.

So until then everyone… I'll be seeing you all next time! Also if you like the story, share it with other Kamen Rider fans if they'll want to read something fun.

OH… and if you like my writing and storytelling, then please check out my main story: Yu-Gi-Oh! Dragon Knight Reborn! Why? Because you guys will like it… and YES, DKR is connected to Tales of the Decade, a Prequel before DKR.

ANYWAY...

Thank you all again for helping me, reading the story and those reviewing it most of all. I appreciate your thoughts and everything. So thank you all.

And see you all next year hopefully for Season 2!
