And we're back, didn't expect to update this so soon. But, considering I'm writing a fanfic based on a twenty minute tv show it makes things easier. This chapter is very special to my Whitechapel cannon, because let's just say Dakota's crush on Rory escalates a little bit.

I just want to put a little disclaimer I am not in anyway romanticizing underaged relationships. When I was younger with my crush on Rory I overexaggerated it which in turn inspirited the over obsessive nature Dakota will have over the course of the story and the reminder of the series. I shouldn't need to explain that Dakota is a ten year old as such her big heart makes it hard to contain and control her emotions sometimes. Especially when it evolves love, she grows out of this later in her life but it is something Dakota dealt with during her early childhood. With that said I hope you enjoy the chapter and if I somehow make anyone uncomfortable with Dakota's dialog I am very sorry; enjoy the chapter.

Chapter 2 Unhealthy Obsessions

"A student volunteer? That is so devious!" Sarah scolded, "Hmm, kind of clever."

"I know, right!" Erica replied excitedly, "So, when are you gonna take a sip? The sooner we get past this whole awkward stage of our friendship, the better."

"I don't eat humans. Sorry if that's awkward for you." Sarah replied, slightly bitter. Erica held up a needle with a thin tube connected. Blood was still inside, which was temping to Sarah. Trying to fight the urge, she reached for another chip only to find the bag was empty. With that, she stormed off to get more snacks.

"What's the deal with Sarah?" Benny asked,

"It's the smell." Ethen answered, "She's scarfing junk food to dull the craving."

"Mortal food won't satisfy her hunger. That's vampire 101." Benny said,

"You guys better keep an eye on her. And our other fanged friends." Ethen said, glancing at Erica,

"Well, at least one of them is covered. Dakota and Mabel are with Rory almost 24/7. He'll be a piece of cake." Benny scoffed, knowing the crush we have on him, "You know that reminds me, are you girls donating?"

"Dakota and Mabel can't. They're too young." Amy replied,

"Um, I'm made of paper." Mimi spoke as if it wasn't obvious, "My blood is a mixture of paint and ink that will raise some heads. Plus, have you seen my stick arms? I don't even have hands, man!" She yelled, shaking Benny,

"Okay, okay, I get it. Stop shaking me." He requested Mimi let go of Benny, and he let out a sigh of relief. "Alright, Ethen, Dakota, Mabel, and Mimi are out. What about your group Amy?"

"You do not want angel blood running through your veins." Emily cut in,

"Why?" Ethen wondered,

"I don't know. But I do know it could lead to disastrous results. We're immortal who knows what will happen if our blood is running through someone's veins."

"Note to self, angel blood is deadly to vampires and people." I said to myself, "Anyway, even though I can't donate, I'm seriously thinking of snagging one of those bags and giving it to Rory." I whispered,

"Oh no, you are not going anywhere near Rory today!" Emily ordered,

"Why?" Benny and Ethen asked,

"Dakota's got a bad case of Rory fever. I don't know how bad the love bug bit her last night, but she ended up waking up with a horrible case of lovesickness." Emily explained, "It's like she's a firecracker that's waiting to blow. And Rory is blowing on the wick."

"No, it's more like she's a light switch, and he's turning her on." Benny compared,

"Oh, good one!" Emily admitted giving him a high five, "Anyway, With Dakota's newfound obsession, I can't risk her going near the source of the problem. I don't want either of them getting hurt or worse." She sighed,

"You know, sometimes I wonder what Dakota and Mabel see in him at all." Benny questioned, "But back to the matter at hand, if anything bad happens, we must rescue the nurses. I'm saving that one." He said, pointing to the younger nurse, "Called it."

"Good luck with that meanwhile. The rest of us will be saving the students," Esamanda said dryly, crossing her arms,

We fell into silence as we continued watching the nurses work while keeping an eye on Erica.

"Oh, I have got to get me one of those." She said, watching the blood bag fill up, "Hey, you're a big, strong guy. Got one more pint for me?"

"Annie, keep the line moving. I'm off to the truck." The older nurse ordered walking away while carrying a tub of blood bags,

"Truck full of blood? Is it vampire Christmas already?" Erica asked herself in disbelief, "Ooh, could be risky! I need a gullible little monkey to steal it for me."

Just then, Rory Keaner came into view, giving Erica her lacky and causing me to lick my lips, seeing the boy of my dreams.

"Oh, great, looks like the cat dragged himself in today!" Emily yelled, gesturing to the blond-haired vampire, knowing it was going to be one of those days,

"Oh, baby, a blood vending machi-"

"Shh." Erica shushed, cutting him off,

"Sweet," Rory stated, knowing Erica had a plan,

"How would you like to go on a secret mission?" Erica offered, "Here's the plan."

"They're up to something," Ethen whispered,

"We can see that, Ethen, but I've got bigger problems to deal with. For example, an unstable ten-year-old with an unhealthy obsession with a fourteen-year-old!" Emily reminded trying to keep me in check,

"Rory's birthday was last week." Mabel reminded,

"Okay, it just got worse."

"I know this makes me sound insane, but I am craving that boy like a vampire craves blood." I gushed, playing with my hair, unable to keep my eyes off Rory,

"I'm starting to see your point, Emily." Benny realized, "Her crush just got dangerous. Should we be worried?"

"Yes, absolutely, she is a ten-year-old girl. She's too young to feel this way if Dakota goes anywhere near Rory in this state. Who knows what will happen! And I am terrified to think about that!" Emily stated urgently,

"We can't risk Rory or Dakota's safety. I'm gonna try to get closer and see what Erica is planning." Ethen said about to sneak over when Erica pulled out a needle causing him to faint,

"Ethen?" Benny asked as a nurse, and I rushed to his side to make sure he was okay,

"This was part of the plan, right?" Lizzy checked, smiling awkwardly,

"Well played young, padawan, well played," Benny said in a hushed tone,

"Man, down, I repeat man down!" Esamanda yelled, waving her arms around, "Now what do we do?"

"I'm going in." I spoke up, "I know how to make Rory talk."

"No, Dakota, you get back here. You're not stable." Emily warned, trying to grab me but failed as I walked over to Rory and Erica,

"Hey, Rory, how's it going." I greeted, posing cutely. That out to make him weak. I thought

"Hey, Dakota, you're looking cute." He said,

"Oh, so you noticed." I giggled happily, twirling my hair,

"Of course, I did. You look cute every day." He smiled,

"Heeheehee, well, considering you think I'm so adorable. Can I ask you something, Rorykins?"

"Of course, you can ask me anything. Except for a date which I can't give you since I'm five years older than you now. And a kiss I can't give you that either, that would be kind of weird."

"Yeah, that would be." I laughed forcibly, Even though I wouldn't mind it if you did. I thought, but now wasn't the time to get lost in my fantasy's I needed to know what they were up to. "What I wanted to know is what are you and Erica up to. I couldn't help but notice you talking."

"Uh…" Rory paused as he looked over at Erica, wondering what to tell me. She made a zipping motion with her fingers meaning, "Keep quiet, or you're dead." Rory gulped and nodded, knowing what he needed to do.

"Nothing, just hanging, or should I say fanging out." He answered hastily,

"Really, well, do you mind if I join you?" I questioned, playing with my hair,

"Sure, why don't we hang out later, just you and me."

"And Mabel?" I asked hopefully,

"Yes, Mabel can too." Rory chuckled,

"Yes!" She shouted, jumping in the air,

I turned around and gave Mabel a thumbs up. She returned the gesture with a broad smile and mouthed thank you. I also saw Emily facepalming.

"Relax, I got this." I mouthed,

"You better." She mouthed back bitterly

"So…" Rory spoke, drawing my attention back to him,

"Yes," I replied brightly,

"I just want to know how you're doing. I haven't seen you that much today." Rory put his hand on my cheek, and I started feeling weak-kneed,

Oh, the things this boy does to me. I thought, staring up into Rory's gorgeous blue eyes with my lovesick ones. My vision was beginning to blear as I lost control of myself, fainting shortly after. With Rory being the last thing I saw and Erica being the last thing I heard.

"Nice job." She whispered,

"I wasn't even trying to make her faint." He whispered back, looking down at my limp body, "That normally takes longer to happen."

"Ahh, she fainted!" Mimi shouted,

"I knew this would happen. What did I tell you?! She is a ticking time bomb with that boy around." Emily facepalmed,

"I mean, at least Ethen cushioned her fall." Benny pointed out seeing us lying on each other,

"Wow, two faints in one day. That has to be some kind of school record." Mabel laughed,

"You know I think you're right." Emily chuckled,

"Is she okay?" Annie asked,

"Oh yeah, she's fine." Emily brushed it off as if it's a usual occurrence, "Just has a bad illness."

"What kind of illness? She might need medical attention." Annie inquired, concerned,

"Lovesickness." The feisty angel deadpanned, shooting Rory a dirty look while summoning her warp star, "Do you mind helping me place her up here?"

Annie nodded and helped Emily pull me up on the warp star,

"You wouldn't happen to have a conveniently placed rope. Thank you." She thanked as Annie gave Emily a rope to tie around a point of the star. Emily walked off carrying the warp star like a balloon. Much to the surprise of the students

"What are you looking at? Don't you have somewhere to be?!" She snapped as everyone watched her,

"Make room, people! Warp star with fainted girl on top coming through! I hope you're proud of yourself." Emily remarked harshly,

"I can't help it, Emily." I defended, now awake, "You know the things that boy does to me. I'm weak."

"Well, we better do something about that. Because if this keeps up, we're going to have a problem on our hands."

"Um, Ems, I think we already do," I said, pointing to Sarah by the vending machine,

"Oh, I see what you mean. We better see how Sarah's holding up those blood cravings have not been kind to her." I jumped off the warp star as Emily snapped her fingers, making it pocket-sized, putting it and the rope away. We ran to see how Sarah was holding up,

"Hey, Sarah, how are you doing?" I questioned,

"Mostly fine. The snacks are helping to some degree. How are you two doing?" She asked,

"Well, seems like Erica is up to no good again," I answered,

"What else is new." Sarah sighed,

"Dakota's dealing with an unhealthy crush on Rory and fainted when she was trying to get information out of him," Emily explained,

"Ooh, seems like I'm not the only one who is being tested with self-control."

"And unlike you, she's losing it." Emily deadpanned, "I swear Dakota and Mabel give me reasons to question their sanity every time Rory's involved." She groaned, massaging her temple,

"Yikes, don't worry, Emily. I'm sure it's just a phase she'll get over it," Sarah reassured,

"It better be. I'm starting to question if I should take her to a therapist. Her behavior just isn't normal."

"Anyway, can one of you spear me a dollar? I could use another chip bag."

"Sure, here's a five." Emily gave Sarah five bucks, and she punched in the code for the chips only for them to get stuck.

"No, no, no! Don't do this to me!" She groaned about to punch the machine."

"You do realize you can end your pain with one tiny sip," Erica spoke up, coming forward and dangling a Dusk coffee cup filled with blood under Sarah's nose,

"Don't give in, Sarah. You're stronger than that." I rooted,

"That blood is meant to save lives, you know." Sarah reminded,

"Well, duh! Mission accomplished." Erica said, taking a sip, "See no screaming."

"Right, until you get caught. We'll see who screams then." Sarah said, accidentally ripping her chip bag,

"Welp, that's five bucks down the drain." Emily pitied, looking at the mess,

"And you're worried about that," I questioned dryly,

"Oh, no problem." Erica cooed, dusting off Sarah's shoulder, "Five-second rule."

"Well done, Erica look who just got the best friend of the year award!" Emily clapped sarcastically, "Amazing, give her a hand, everybody!"

"This just got personal." I said, "Nobody messes with my friends and gets away with it."

"Get, Ethen and Benny. We need to strengthen our forces while Sarah is down for the count."

"I'm on it. You can count on me." I saluted and ran off,

"What are you going do?" Sarah questioned tiredly,

"I'm going to do something I never thought I would." Emily replied, "I'm going to the library to make sure Dakota isn't suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder. I bid you fair well,

"I am strong enough to fight this craving." Sarah said to herself as Emily walked away, "After I eat this chip."

"Esamanda status update." I ordered into my phone,

"Ethen is awake and ready to roll." She replied,

"Great, Sarah isn't doing so good, and Erica isn't making things easy on her. We need all hands on deck to make sure Erica doesn't hurt anyone."

"Got it met me, Lizzy, and Ethen at the waiting room. After that, a secret room meeting is in order," Esamanda explained,

"Great, see you in a few." I hanged up and walked swiftly down the hall if there were any chances of stopping Erica before she hurt anyone in her pursuit for blood. We had to act fast as a team. Or else the vampire secret could be exposed, and none of us were about to let that happen.

Once again thank you for reading my story. Emily is going to have her hands full dealing with a lovesick Dakota and a blood thirsty Erica I had the most fun writing her and Dakota's dialog for this chapter also fun fact the light switch joke Benny made was thought out long before I started writing this story. It felt like a prefect thing for Benny to say. And the fainting thing was something I imagined doing when I crushed on Rory along with wing fluttering and calling him Rorykins. I used to call it my love dove crush blush or the crush blush for short. Lol Yeah I had it bad for him back in the day. XD Anyway with that said I hope everyone enjoyed this chapter and I'll see you all next time.
