"It's a girl."

Her boyfriend nodded.

"I'm not due for another 6 months, we can give it….give her away if you think-"

He cut her off with an embrace. "I'm sorry."

Sorry for…..?

"I just…I never thought this would happen to me...to us."

Simone let her expression fall into a nervous smirk. "This is what happens when you do certain activities in the dark of an English lecture room." They'd snuck in just because they could after the school day had ended and the hazy light of the sun had faded. They'd both been terrified. Caution had been thrown to the wind. And Simone knew now that she wasn't just picking up the infamous College 10….her weight gain was from something more special than fast food and scones.

Lecture room. School day. College.

"Lee, we're just kids." More like fledgling adults, but the situation made her revert to her younger side. She and Lee were 19. There was still a 'teen' at the end of that. What in the world had they done? "We can't do this." She stepped a foot away from him.

"Do you want to do this?" Lee looked deep into her eyes. It was the look that first got Simone's attention. The look that first made her think that maybe Lee Washington wasn't just some hunk sporting for girls. It was the very look that had got them in the trouble they were in right now.

Simone nodded. Shook her head. And then nodded again. "Yes. Yes, I do."

Lee repeated her words softly as he stepped close. "I do." He grinned and gripped her shoulders. "I do. Simone, will you marry me?"

His girlfriend's eyebrows shot up and she played the role of an actually rational person for a moment. "You do realize we're sophomores?" In spite of the argumentative statement, she wrapped her arms around his waist.

"So?"

"I guess I should say 'yes' or 'no.'"

"I guess you should."

Simone smirked. She leaned into Lee's returned embrace, looking up into his dark eyes. "...Sure."

Lee chuckled and gripped her tighter. "Something tells me I'm going to have my hands full with you two."

Oh, Alicia, you shall be remembered.

The chapter title is oh-so-fitting. It is the meaning of Alicia, which is a variant of Alice, which comes from the Germanic name Adalheidis (Adelaide), meaning "noble natured" (noble of kind).

Feel free to point out even the slightest of grammatical errors.

I hope you enjoyed reading. Chapter 4 is complete and will be posted soon.

God bless you.
