Eyes of an Insect

The Aburame family has always been a little wierd to most people. The way we use insects and let them house in our body has people thinking we're discusting. It's been that wat for as long as I can remember.

The truth is that we're not. We bathe daily like the rest of Konoha. We brush our teeth after every meal and we eat three meals a day.

We may seem a little isolated and lonely, adn maybe in the outside world we are. But inside we're like any other family. Loving, careful, and patient.

Everytime a new child is added to the family we take the time to share the stories passed down from generation to generation.

One I remember the most when I was a child is the one my mother told me when I was younger. Now when I tell it, everyone in the family sits down to listen the way they did for my mother.

Father especially. I can't begin to explain the joy in his eyes while listening to it. When I tell it he thinks of her.

Sometimes when I tell it, I think back to when I was a little child. Back when we would play endless hours with each other in the back yard or the family swimming pool.

I've realized that I've matured a lot. I don't believe in everything I once did. Now I can't believe everything I hear.

Maybe things aren't perfect for my family; maybe we aren't perfect, but when I remember mother's story, a little piece of the me long ago comes back. Make's me young again.

And when I think that mother is in heaven, watching us from above, I hear her tell the story the way she used to. And I start to believe her story. I start to believe we're special like everyone else in Konoha. Just as special.

And I start to believe, that God is watching us through the eyes of an insect.

Sorry... Early in the morning and i need to get to bed. It's something I wrote in class. I didn't want to pay attention... '
