A/N: So things will start to settle down at this point. The crew has three weeks left until they are back to their duties, everyone needs some downtime. Gemma will start to get back on the mend after this chapter.

A/N: Some heavy smut in the beginning. I have no control over this!

Garrus was in awe of his new metal arm, it was much like a Turian arm, even the details of his talons were there. The only difference was it didn't have his hard plating and was actually stronger than his other, normal arm. He was loving it so far, he'd calibrated it so much that he'd been able to add some extra features to the original plans the doctors gave it. Shepard loved the fact that he was happy, but lately, their relationship had been stale.

it was either they both were at physical therapy or were too tired to do much past napping on the couch together. They'd moved into Shepard's quarters, being much bigger than Garrus' and he'd hoped living together would be different than this. But most couples aren't just giving over finishing a war together and both aren't healing injuries.

Shepard was very close to not having to use a wheelchair anymore, though she can walk. Running was still off the table. After running down the hall when Gemma was first found, she'd torn a muscle in her leg and was pushed back a few steps in her therapy. Not disheartened, she still carried on best she could.

The halls were dark, the same glow of the Illusive Man's eyes chased Shepard around them as she screamed in her nightmare. They were a common recurrence from the drugs she took for the pain, they'd do away once she was fully healed. But they were hard to deal with for the moment.

Garrus rolled over in their small double bed, Shepard kicked the duvets again, clawing her nails into the mattress. She did this every night without fail, and whilst he felt for her. He needed some sleep for once. He used his normal arm to rest his talons on her shoulder, pushing down slightly to slow her down.

That would usually work to settle her down and get her calm until it happened again, but this time she snapped her eyes open and she almost broke his arm. "Shepard, Jesus!" Garrus cries in pain as she bends his arm in a way Turians shouldn't be able to.

Shepard quickly lets go, sitting up and turning the light on. "Fuck, I am so sorry," she says in surprise as she got to her knees and rubbed his arm. Garrus can only try not to be angry as he felt the muscles under his hard plating stop contracting.

"It's okay. Same nightmare again?" She nods sadly, sitting back against the headboard, she took her top off, it was too hot to keep it on. Garrus couldn't help but look at her chest, she wore a sports bra. He'd missed her body, but he was currently admiring the news scars she had required.

"Yeah, Illusive fuck chasing me down the damn halls with those eyes of his," she grimaced. She drops her arms and sees Garrus not listening at all as he stares at her chest. She smiles and clicks her fingers in his face, "earth to Garrus," she chuckles.

"Sorry," he mumbles. "I was just admiring your body," he admits, blushing without actually physically showing it. Shepard smirks at him, grabbing his talon and placing it on her breast.

"Oh yeah? What about it do you admire?" Garrus nearly growls at her, he'd missed her so much. He felt the shift slightly in his plates, he was already going overboard just thinking about what they could do together.

"I remember you saying you had a thing for guys with scars and liked mine," he explains as he slowly uses his long blue tongue to trail her neck. Shepard's breath hitches, she scratches her nails into his shoulder, though he barely feels it. "I am the same as yours, Shepard. Those scars are sexy to me, as a Turian anyway."

Shepard giggles, his tongue tickling her slightly. She runs a hand over his bare chest, feeling the hard plating, but to her, it was as soft as freshly fallen snow. "Well, I may not be Turian. But... I'm glad I can turn you on in the same way as one," she says before kissing his sharp lips. When they first kissed, it was very awkward. Turians don't have lips like humans and they couldn't move then in ways they could. But they got the hang of it and to Shepard, it felt the same as kissing any human.

"It's not just your scars," he mumbles, running his tongue over her lips. "I love your waist, it's supportive and your hair. I like to pull on it," he says demonstrating as he pulls from her roots. Shepard gasps with pleasure. That did it for Garrus, his plates opened and he was hard, ready for his partner.

Shepard straddles his lap, running her hand down his chest, his stomach and down to his shaft. She smirked when his hardness hit her hand. The first time feeling Garrus' dick, she was taken aback. Turians had a much longer and wider girth, they also had ridges. The most noticeable difference was Garrus' was blue.

Shepard starts to pump him in her hand, she knew this was the best she could do. She could not have his dick near her mouth, their cum could kill each other if ingested. Just as Garrus' cannot touch Shepard's clit or folds with his tongue. But they did just fine with their hands.

Garrus wrapped both his arms around her ass and easily slid one talon into Shepard from behind. She started to rock her hips, moaning as she bit her tongue. Garrus' mandibles went loose with a smirk.

They continued to masturbate each other, then Shepard pushed herself up enough to let Garrus drop his talons out. She replaced the emptiness with his dick. He growls as her warmness engulfs him, she is on fire. He bit her neck, a normal thing for Turians to do. Though it left many bruises for Shepard. Her cybernetics usually cleared them up in a few hours.

"You're so tight, Shepard," he groans as Shepard rocks her hips. He grabs her ass, rocking it to her movements. The room quickly fills with skin slapping and moans as they both kiss and licked each other. Garrus learnt very quickly what human females loved, which was their breasts being touched, bit and sucked. He was fascinated with the idea of it in the beginning. Turian females don't have breasts or nipples, only the same hard extended chest as the males.

He cups Shepard's breast, letting it bounce against his talon as he runs his long thumb over her hard nipple. Shepard threw her head back, enjoying the extra attention. He then gently placed it between his mouth plates and bit down. Shepard gasped, now bouncing on him at the fastest pace she could muster.

"I'm close, Garrus," she moans. Garrus only growls and bites harder. Shepard clamps herself on him, letting her orgasm take her. Garrus nearly roared as her walls went tight against him, he filled her as they both rocked in a small huddle together.

Shepard's sweat had sheened over Garrus, though not caring as Turians don't sweat. He just wipes his chest and picks Shepard up. Her legs were shaking, he pulled out of her, she moaned as he did. "I've missed this," she tiredly whispers. Garrus kisses her head but then tightens his mandibles when he sees her breast.

"I may have bit too hard," he says pointing to her left breast. She had a huge purple bruise covering from her nipple to near the entire side of her boob. Her neck also had teeth marks on it.

"Damn, that's going to hurt in the morning," she chuckles. Garrus feels bad though, he grabs a warm towel from the small kitchenette, trying to calm the bruising down. "Hey, don't be upset with yourself. We both needed this, it's been weeks."

"I don't like hurting you like this. It's hard to control myself," he admits. Shepard pulls his chin up.

"I don't care, Garrus. I love it. Let me clean up and we will get some sleep," she kissed his mouth before getting up.

"I love you, Shepard," he calls from the bed. Shepard stops at the bathroom door, leaning into the frame as she looks at him with dotting eyes.

"I love you too," she replies before shutting the door. Garrus wasn't sure how he got so lucky with the partner life offered him. He couldn't wait to get to Palavan to show her off to his people.

Gemma finally opened her eyes, though the lights stung like hell. She looked around, seeing Kaidan asleep on her stomach, he sat very uncomfortably in a chair, their fingers intertwined. Miranda was in there as well, typing on her datapad.

"Miranda?" Gemma groggily calls, she tries to whisper. Miranda rushes over, putting a finger to her lips so they don't wake Kaidan.

"He's been up for two days, let's try to let him rest. How are you?" Gemma's eyes finally adjust as she rubs them with her free hand. Her stomach killed and her throat was drier than the Sahara desert.

"I feel like I just had the heaviest night out in years. What happened?" Her memory was too foggy to fill the gaps. She only remembered telling Liara to leave and taking some medication to rest.

"You overdosed on your anti-depressants and gave yourself alcohol poisoning." Gemma gasped, Kaidan groaned and turned his head. They both waited for him to settle down before speaking again. "We repaired the damage on your liver and kidneys, though we've had to add some cybernetics to help the tissue regenerate."

"What does that mean?" she asks, leaning further into her pillows. Miranda leans on one hip, crossing her arms over her chest.

"You had organ failure, we fixed it. You got nearly the same treatment as Shepard did with the Lazarus Project. It was expensive and funded by the Alliance." Gemma knew she'd get in deep shit for what she's done.

"Hackett is going to kill me," she mutters. Miranda can only chuckle in agreement. "How is Thane... did it work?" Miranda forgot Gemma never knew, she locked herself away before the full check of his lungs was carried out.

"Yes, actually. He is on the mend again thanks to you." Gemma smiled, the first bit of good news she'd had in a long time. "What are you going to do about Kaidan? He had refused to leave you unless it's to get food or use the bathroom."

"I don't know, I need to remember him. I shouldn't have pushed him away the other day, it only made things worse." Kaidan groaned again, this time blinking his eyes open. He was shattered and his back was aching to hell. He looks straight at Gemma, smiling, but then realizing and quickly pulling his hand away from her.

"Sorry, I fell asleep. How are you?" Gemma smiles at him, looking him over. He had bags under his eyes and his Alliance uniform was badly creased.

"I'm okay, thank you for staying with me." She looks away, staring at the tinted window to her left, "sorry for pushing you away the other day. It's pretty overwhelming."

Kaidan stood up, straightening his uniform out and standing next to Miranda. "It's alright, you have a lot on your plate. I need to head back to my place if you good?" Gemma nods. He gives her one last glance before leaving.

"This is so awkward to witness," Miranda grimaced. Gemma agreed, she wanted to have whatever it was she had with Kaidan back, but she just couldn't remember for the life of her. "I'm going to get Thane from next door, he's eager to see you again," Miranda says in a rush as she leaves the room. Gemma was excited to have a conversation with someone she actually remembers.

Kaidan got the message from Tevos to meet at her office at the HQ, she'd come up with a way that might help Gemma get some if not all her memory back. He napped, showered and changed into clothes to make sure he looked alive for the meeting.

He enters the HQ, heading in the lift that takes him to the highest possible floor in the building. There were three doors on the landing, each door had the room for each councillor inside it. He knocks on the main door in the middle. Tevos had cleared the whole floor for her meeting with Kaidan, he was somewhat nervous about what this idea she had.

The door opens, "ah. Spectre Alenko, welcome. Please come in," Tevos says with a smile as she opens the door wide enough to allow him in. Kaidan walks in, taking in the lavish office. It was bigger than his whole quarters back in the dorms, and this was just an office.

Tevos shut the door and led him to her main desk that sat in front of four ceiling height windows. The desk was a fresh colour of oak with a large terminal and stack of datapads next to it. Tevos shows him to the small seat across from her massive office chair.

"Thank you for having me, any help you can offer to Gemma would be great." Tevos smiles in return, sitting down and neatly placing her hands on the desk.

"I heard about what happened. I am sorry she is struggling so much, I hope with the return of her memories she will be able to slowly recover." Kaidan nodded, it had been hard on everyone. Gemma was such a core piece of the crew, they'd be crushed if she'd hadn't made it through surgery.

"Thank you, councillor. It's been hard for us all, but I think it's sunk in just how much damage she did and how lucky she was Miranda was able to save her." Tevos bobs her head before pulling a datapad out of the stake next to her, she pushes it across the desk to Kaidan.

"I assume you know about Asari mind melding?" Kaidan nods, he was taught it by Liara. He was fascinated when he witnessed Liara's mind-meld with Shepard to help understand the Prothean beacon three years ago. "Good, well it can be used to transfer and share memories. It's sometimes difficult but Asari can use their melding to pull a deep memory from their partner without them even having to remember it."

"How come Liara didn't think of this sooner?" he asks looking at the datapad. It was a summary of the meld without the in-depth wording about the point of being for reproduction.

"It isn't commonly known to work on someone with what you call amnesia. But I believe Gemma's biotics can be of some help. They almost act like a meld of their own. You said she remembered your crew member Mr Krios through touch and her biotics. This might work if an Asari melds with her." Kaidan couldn't believe this, they might finally have the answer to their biggest problem.

"Who can do it?" he asks quickly, looking up at her. Tevos scratches her chin, looking at him with a steady glare.

"It would need to be one of great control. I assume Dr T'soni might be able to help." She pauses, thinking about adding the next part. "If she is unable to help... I will offer my services. I've had over six hundred years to train and control my melding. Dr T'soni is still considered a child amongst my people."

"Oh trust me, she's far from that," Kaidan chuckles. Tevos nods with a smile, she knew much about Liara and her... line of work. She was a dangerous woman that the Matriarchs liked to keep a close eye on. "Thank you, Tevos. This might be our answer to all our problems. I'll go show Miranda and find Liara to get it tried as soon as possible."

"I am happy to be of service, Major. You have done much for myself and the council, you may be the second human Spectre. But you've sacrificed a lot to get where you are today." Kaidan could almost hug her, but he controls himself and excuses himself to get on with it.

He rushes back to the hospital, in the mind of finding Miranda and calling Liara. He prayed to whoever listened that this would work and he'd finally get his love back.
