Four crossed his arms, looking at Bella. She came to him this morning, and told him what happened last night. She fought both Peter and Lukas off before she got away. She bandaged herself up, and then went back to her cot. Eric had been right, Lukas deserved what he got.

"I'm terribly sorry you experienced this." Four said. They were standing in the clinic room outside the training room. Training was postponed this morning, so he took that opportunity to get all the information he needed. "Lukas will be reprimanded, as will Peter.

"That's not necessary." Bella said, still holding her chin up high. She wasn't going to let Peter and Lukas beat her this way either. "I'm not afraid of Lukas or Peter. I can handle them. Reprimanding them won't change what happened. Maybe next time, they'll think twice before trying to ambush someone like me."

Four studied her. She was strong willed, and fearless. He admired that quality. "You could have been killed."

"Wouldn't be the first time someone got killed in Dauntless right? That's the risk we all took when we jumped off that train, when we cut our hand and changed our factions. I am Dauntless Four, and I intend on being here after the first round." Bella didn't want to make this a huge deal. She didn't want more investigation, where Four would be digging around in her business.

Four hesitated a moment, but he nodded. "Okay. I'll drop it. You all have an hour to yourselves this morning. Do with it what you will." He said and opened the door, and she walked out.

Bella blew out a breath, sighing, before she left the room and went into the training room. Jasper, Christina, Will, and Tris were all gathered together at the punching bags. A guy named Al, was with them. He had joined the group for more help with training because he was also struggling to get above the red as well.

"What's wrong?" Tris asked. "He ask you about your hand?"

Bella hadn't told the others what all happened last night. "Um. Something like that." She said. "So, he said we have a free hour before training. I say we work out some more."

"I don't know." Jasper said. "You hurt your hand pretty good right?"

"It's just some busted knuckles. I hit the bag a little too hard. I'm fine."

Tris didn't believe that's all it was. Bella was walking a little slower than normal, and that meant that something happened and either Four was making her not talk, or Bella didn't want to talk about it. But later, she would try to get Bella to talk about it. "How about some light spars?" She said, changing the subject.

Bella nodded. "Sounds like a good idea."

Jasper still wasn't convinced, but he dropped it for now. "Pair up I suppose."

Christina paired up with Will, and Tris squared off with Al, while Jasper and Bella faced each other. Other recruits were punching bags, or they went back to sleeping quarters to rest more, but Bella didn't want to give in to the pain in her side.

Bella's movements were slower than normal, and Jasper picked up on that, so he slowed his own movements to accommodate. He was going easy on her, and Bella saw that too. "Jasper, you don't have to treat me with kid gloves. I'm okay."

Jasper just nodded, and they went back at it again, she blocked his punches pretty decently, and they both decided to throw kicks at the same time. She caught him in his side, when he caught her in her side, her hurt side.

Bella flinched from the pain that radiated from the impact of the kick. It wasn't hard at all, but the pressure did hurt.

Jasper dropped his guard. "Bella, you're really hurt. Something happened to you last night. Don't give me a bullshit story. What happened?" He said, his voice low. He was close to her now, his hands perched on his hips, as he studied her.

Bella sighed. "I got attacked last night in the shower after everyone went to sleep. Lukas and Peter slammed me into the wall, forced my legs apart and- "

"Are you serious?" Jasper said, appalled. "You're acting like this isn't a big deal, Bella, you can't let them get away with sexually assaulting you. That's not cool."

Bella sighed. "Voice down." She said in a harsh whisper. "They didn't get a chance to do anything because I knocked Peter out, and then ran. Lukas caught me at the catwalk, and tried to throw me over, but I managed to choke him out before anymore damage could be done. He got me good in my side. It's just bruised and sensitive. I told Four. That is why I was talking to him earlier. I don't want this getting out, especially to Tris and the others. I want to just keep moving forward. Let's not make this a big deal."

Jasper shook his head. "What if they try something again? What if next time- "

"There won't be a next time." Bella cut him off. "I'm aware of my surroundings now. I won't make that mistake again and relax. I won't shower alone anymore if that makes you feel better."

Jasper sighed. "Tris is suspicious already; you don't think she needs to know? What if Peter and Lukas go after her next?"

Four walked in and then called to Bella. "Bella, a word." He said, and walked back towards the clinic.

Bella looked at Jasper. "Leave it alone Jasper, I mean it." She said and then left to go talk to Four again. She closed the door behind her. "I told you I don't want- "

"Lukas woke up. He's not saying anything about what happened last night, but I suspect he doesn't want it to be known that you managed to beat him. Peter isn't saying anything either. He went to infirmary this morning because he was peeing blood. You damaged a kidney. He's playing it off from the spar. It's not uncommon to get some of these issues." Four said.

"Okay. So what? I already told you I didn't want them to be reprimanded anyways." Bella said.

Four nodded. "I know. But if they came out and said that you attacked them, you do realize that your statement to me would have to be publicly known."

"Why does it matter? We're fighting to stay above the red. If Lukas threw me off the catwalk, that would have been one less recruit."

"This is a competition. It's also the first year that there is a consequence for being on the bottom. It's not right, and I don't agree with it, but part of being Dauntless, is comradery. You are a coward if you fight dirty. Eric doesn't like this either. He's in a meeting right now, but he'll be given more details after the meeting."

"Do you have to tell him?" Bella asked, even though Eric did know already. He knew about Lukas, but not Peter.

Four looked away. "Bella, I don't have a lot of choices. I have to report all of this to Eric because he is my superior. He needs to know. Even if we don't verbally reprimand Lukas or Peter, doesn't mean they're not going to suffer. Eric will make sure of it.

Bella just sighed. "Fine, but I'm serious about keeping it quiet. I don't know why you even care anyways." She muttered.

"I'm going to give you a piece of advice. Lose the attitude, and watch your mouth. Those are the two things that will make it harder on you."

"I'm not going to stop being myself. Part of being Dauntless, is not being afraid. I'll do what I do, without that fear, because if there are consequences, I can handle them."

Four studied her. She was strong and different than the other recruits. She was the first one to even draw his attention. He usually looked at new recruits with mild disinterest. He was so focus and serious, but this year, this year was different. He suspected something more sinister was happening behind the scenes that he wasn't in the loop for. The recruits this year, were stronger, or at least some of them were. Bella had the potential to be the best here in Dauntless, and that also worried him. He worried about her, and that was something he shouldn't be. He should just move on from this matter, but something about Bella made him stop and pay more attention. "Alright." He said and nodded. "How is your side. Let me take a look at it." He said.

Bella sighed and pulled her shirt off. She was wearing her sports bra, and usually she trained without her shirt on, but she was covering the bruises.

Four inspected her side. "Right below the ribs." He said. "Tissue is bruised bad. You didn't break anything this time." He said and then grabbed ointment that was identical to what Eric had put on it the night before. "Hold still." He said and then rubbed the ointment on her side carefully. "If you have issues with this, go to sick bay. It's okay to need medical treatment. It doesn't make you weak."

"That's where you're wrong. No pain, no gain. I'll be fine." Bella said.

Four nodded again, and then closed the tube of ointment up and looked her over again. He saw some discoloration on her neck, and he reached a hand out. "He got his hands around you?"

"Yeah." Bella lied, thinking back to Eric's mouth being there the night before. "Doesn't hurt at all. My hand is fine, the swelling is down. I've just got to learn not to hit the bag so hard." She said calmly. "Anything else?" she asked, taking a step back.

Four shook his head. "No. Go on." He said, dismissing her.

Bella pulled her shirt back on and left the room. Jasper was waiting on her, and so was Tris. Christina and Will went off to cool down before Eric showed up and Al, decided the same thing.

"So?" Tris asked.

"I'm not talking about it." Bella said. "There are some things I just can't talk about, and this is one of those things."

Tris shook her head. "You don't have to shoulder everything. You're pushing yourself so hard."

Bella looked at her friend. "That's who I am. It's what I'm going to do. Nothing will change that."

"You can let us help. We're your friends."

"I know." Bella said. "I know." She sighed. "Just know I'm okay. It's not that serious." She reassured. "If things get serious, I'll tell you. For now, we should focus on you. You're 28th still. I need you to get above the red. I can't lose my best friend."

Tris nodded. "I'm going to do better, so you don't have to worry about me. Promise."

"Good." Bella said with a small smile. At least for now, Tris had dropped it about what happened. Jasper knew, and she hoped that he wouldn't say anything.

Morning training was just more exercises. Eric seemed distracted today, and it made Bella wonder what was going on with him. Now that it was night, they were given an early night off, so they all headed into the bazar to have some fun for a change.

The first place Bella went, was getting her hair chopped off.

"Your hair is so pretty though." Christina pouted.

Bella smiled as she sat in the chair. There was a guy, with a purple mohawk, and tats all over his body, and many face piercings, that was cutting her hair for her. "It's heavy and annoying. Gets in my way. I just want to feel lighter." She said and relaxed in the chair, as mohawk cut her hair.

When he was done, it came to right above her shoulders, and Bella felt fantastic. It was so spirit lifting to chop away all that hair. Tris went next, getting her hair cut to her shoulders. She wouldn't be so bold.

The three girls went into the tattoo shop. Tris wasn't sure about getting a tattoo, but she knew that she wanted one.

They browsed through the different stencils, until Tris settled on three ravens symbolizing herself, Bella, and Christina. So, Christina got a raven tattooed behind her ear, to match.

Bella looked at many stencils until she settled on a lotus flower done simply in black.

They each waited their turns, and watched the other get their tattoo. Tris' tattoo as on her collar bone, and Bella got hers on the inside of her wrist, and to add to it, she got another tattoo on her chest, of a raven to match Christina and Tris.

Afterwards, they left to go to where the music was playing loudly. Alcohol was being served, and so Bella decided on drinks and a little more fun.

The drinks were neon in color, and tasted amazing, so Bella enjoyed a few of them, feeling the intoxicating affects of the alcohol. Her, Tris, and Christina started to dance together, before Will showed up, and Christina went to grind all over him. Al was sitting off to the side watching, barely sipping a beer, and then Jasper was there now.

"You ladies sure do look like you're having a lot of fun." Jasper said with a smile.

Tris smiled at Jasper. "Yeah, living a little! Come on!" She said and took Jasper's hand and drug him out to the dance floor. He was laughing as they danced together, and it made Bella smile.

She ordered herself another drink, knowing that maybe it would be too much, but she didn't care at the moment. The bartender brought her the drink, it was a neon purple color, and she found it beautiful to look at. She took a drink, savoring the flavor, and then started back to the dancefloor to dance a little as the alcohol flowed through her. She felt a hand slide over her hip, and she turned and looked into the green eyes of Lukas.

"Don't." Lukas said sharply, and then moved her to him. "I want to talk to you." He said in her ear, as he drew her close.

Bella didn't fight him. She just stayed as she was, dancing to the music, as he started to move. "What do you want?"

"Last night."

"Was a big mistake. You should have never tried what you did." Bella said, her voice chilling.

"You're strong."

Bella snorted. "Are you here to apologize so I won't destroy you in sparring in front of everyone? Or are you here to point out the obvious?"

Lukas glared at her, but he kept a hand firm on her waist. "I'm here to tell you, that if you value your friend's life, you'll back off Peter and me. You don't belong here. The sooner you realize that the better it'll be."

"Threats are a coward's way of dealing with things. I thought you were Dauntless." Bella said defiantly.

Lukas' grip tightened, crushing into her flesh. "Those aren't threats little girl." He said, his mouth deadly close to hers. "You will listen to me, because I don't break my promises, and I promise you, keep up this bold defiant act, I will throw little miss Tris into the dropoff." He said, and then pushed his lips to hers.

Bella's lips were like stone when Lukas kissed her, she just pushed away from him, and spun around on the dance floor and stormed off. She went back to the bar and grabbed another drink. She felt her anger rise in her, and now all she wanted, was Lukas dead.

"You think it's wise to drink so much?" Eric commented from the bar. He had seen the display on the dance floor with Lukas. He could tell instantly that she was upset, the moment she turned around.

"Fuck you." Bella muttered and downed her drink.

Eric raised a brow. "You're rather bold when drunk."

"I'm not drunk." Bella lied. She wasn't black out drunk, but she was enough to know that if she were to get in a fight right now, she'd likely lose.

"What did Lukas want?"

"You don't care." Bella said. "You just want to get information to use against me."

Eric nodded. "That's how you see me huh." He said and picked up his own drink and drunk it down. "Word of advice. Don't insult your instructor the night before a big test."

Bella rolled her eyes. "I don't care."

"You should learn to care."

"Whatever." Bella said and looked at the bartender. "Another one of the purple ones."

The bartender nodded and fixed the drink for her and slid it back to her.

Bella picked it up and drank it deeply, setting the empty glass on the bar. She moved away from the bar, leaving Eric there to drink to himself, when she ran into Four. His hands steadied her.

"Easy. You've been drinking a lot." Four said, taking in her current state.

"Yeah, well, I've had a shit day. So."

"Let me bring you back to the sleeping quarters. I don't want you to walk alone." Four said, keeping his hand on her arm.

Bella looked at his hand and then back up at him. "No thanks." She said and pulled away from him and walked away, leaving the bazar.

Four cursed to himself and followed her. They got to the catwalk, and she stumbled just a little, and he caught her and pulled her against him. "This is why I said to let me bring you back."

Bella shook her head. "So, what if I fall off. Dying wouldn't be so bad." She muttered.

"What is wrong with you?" Four asked, seriously concerned.

"Nothing." Bella said bitterly. "You know what. I'm going to go train. Forget sleep." She said and pulled away from him.

Four sighed. "Bella. That's not a good idea."

"Four, leave me alone. You shouldn't even be here with me alone. Go back to whatever it was you were about to do before I stopped you. I don't need a hero." Bella said and turned back to the bags in the training room. She pulled her shirt off, her sports bra tight against her breast. Her purple side looked worse from earlier, but that was a sign of healing. She drew her hands up to her face, and she aimed at the bag. She compensated for being intoxicated, and her strikes hit the bag.

Four watched her a few moments, before he sighed, and left her to herself. He wanted to keep eyes on Peter and Lukas while she was like that, so he went back to the bazar.

Bella kicked the bag, wobbling a bit because her balance wasn't great right now. She didn't know how much time had passed, but she didn't care. She felt a presence and so she turned, throwing a kick, but Eric caught her foot. "Of course, it's you." She muttered, and he let her foot go.

"Good spinning roundhouse kick. Too bad you would have fallen on your ass if I hadn't of caught it instead of just stepping out of your range." Eric said. "You need to sleep the alcohol off."

"I'm fine."

"No, you're not. What did Lukas say to you to make you so angry?" Eric asked again. He knew Lukas said something to her to change her attitude, because he had been watching her before the encounter, and she was so happy and having fun until then.

"Nothing important. His face just pisses me off. Plus, he kissed me. If you were watching, then you would have saw that, and know that it ticked me off."

Eric nodded. "That's fair." He said. "But you're riled up. I may be Dauntless, but I'm not stupid Bella."

"That's right, you were Erudite before. Sorry Will, sold you out." Bella said with a sarcastic shrug and then turned to the bag and hit it a few times, a little sloppy.

Eric made a hmm sound. "It's not a secret what my previous faction was. It only matters what I am now. If you're hellbent on tiring yourself out this way, then I'll let you. But tomorrow's test, will have you puking every five minutes if you keep going the way you are."

"I said I didn't care." Bella said and then she swung at the bag again, missed and stumbled.

Eric caught her, pulling her towards him slightly. Bella's dark eyes met his steel ones. He didn't understand the feeling he had. Normally, he wouldn't care about how much a recruit drank, and he would use it against them the next day, but she was different. He knew she was he just didn't want to accept it. He leaned in and his mouth brushed hers, and she pulled back, confusing him more. "What?"

"It won't happen again. Your words." Bella threw back at him. "Plus, anyone can just walk in and see, so."

"Then come to my room." Eric invited.

"And do what?"

"You know what."

"Look at you Eric, going back on your word."

Eric smiled a little. "Maybe this is a way to torture you. Make you come back to my room, just to rile you up more."

"Right." She scoffed.

Eric smiled at her. "Want to bet against me?"

Bella bit her lip, thinking about it. "Fine." She said and then she followed him, making sure no one saw, back to his room.

When the door shut behind them, her mouth was on his again, their tongues lashing out at each other, mating together. Clothes were pulled off in a hurry, as they stumbled onto his bed. Eric was careful with his weight, so not to hurt her.

It hadn't even been a full 24 hours since Bella felt him inside her, and somehow, she was ready for him again. She needed the feeling of ecstasy to complete the high she felt.

Eric's mouth went to her throat, kissing her there, and suckling a little, as she arched into him, moaning. He pulled back to look down at her. "Shower?"

Bella nodded, and they got up out of the bed, and he pulled her into the shower. They were both naked still, their hands not leaving one another's body.

Eric traced the raven on her collar bone that she just got. "Why a raven?"

"Because of Tris." Bella said, and then kissed him as she stepped backwards into the steaming shower, pulling Eric with her. The water was so refreshing against her muscles. She needed this, and to be in a shower without being assaulted, was also refreshing. Bella's hands moved down to his erect cock, stroking it with her hand.

"Hmm, you are testing my limits. Never said I was going to fuck you Bella, just rile you up."

Bella smiled, and turned in the shower, her back to his chest now. Eric's arms went around her from behind, and she leaned into him, she shifted her hips over him, and he growled in her ear. "Who is riled up?" She said, her voice husky from arousal.

Eric's hands moved over her hips to the inside of her thighs, and up towards her wet entrance. He brushed a finger over her clit, gathering a moan from her. "You're drunk."

"Not drunk." She responded back.

Eric kissed the back of her neck as the water fell around them. He moved one hand up, over her breast, stopping to tease a nipple with his pointer finger and thumb and she moaned again. "So, you want me to fuck you right now. Like this?" He said, his voice throaty from his own arousal. He slipped a finger inside her and she moaned again. "Hmm?" He breathed, tickling her neck.

"God, yes!" Bella moaned more.

Eric pushed her against the cool tile of the shower, moving his hands to position her hands above her then moving his hands down over her body before they landed on her hips. Their height difference was just perfect enough for him to slide his cock into her from behind. She was so tight, that he shivered as he entered her. She moaned as she felt him push inside her.

"Hard Eric, like you want to fuck me." Bella said and when he thrust up into her quickly, she gasped at how great it felt.

Eric thrust into her again, letting her feel every inch of him. "Like this?" He said as he thrust again into her quick, and hard.

"Yes!" She moaned out. "Keep going!"

Eric picked up his pace, thrusting into her like that until she shuddered, her body releasing its orgasm, drenching his cock. He paused to turn her to face him before he hoisted her up, and drove his cock into her again, her legs hooking around him when he entered her again. His mouth covered hers again, his tongue colliding with hers, over and over again as he pounded into her. He moaned against her mouth, as he grew close, his hips moving faster and faster, until he erupted. He moaned, his forehead against hers as he breathed heavy from the exertion. His cock twitched as it emptied inside her.

The water was the only thing either of them could hear, as he leaned back to stare into her chocolate pools. What did this mean to him? Why was it that she was so satisfying to him? He has had sex with plenty of women, but why her? Why did she shatter something inside? It didn't make sense.

He didn't want to move, the sensitivity was too great at the moment, but the water was starting to run cold, so he slid out of her and let her down to her feet. They were quiet as they got out of the shower and dried off.

Bella gathered her clothes and started to pull them on, when he stopped her, his mouth covering hers again, making her drop her clothes in the floor again.

When the kiss broke, he studied her and she frowned, looking up at him. "What?"

"You cut your hair." Eric murmured, not sure why he hadn't noticed it before now.

"You just now noticed?" Bella asked.

"I guess…" Eric said and then he leaned in and kissed her again, moving her back towards his bed, and lay her down.

"Eric…" Bella murmured. "What are you doing?"

Eric kissed her again, and then again. "I don't know anymore."

"We can't keep doing this." Bella whispered in between kisses. She was still so aroused, and now, so was he. She moved, getting him on his back, before she slid over his hardening cock. "We can't…" she murmured as she moved her hips. Her side didn't hurt right now, everything felt amazing, that she didn't care about how much her side would hurt in the morning.

Eric's hands went to her hips as she rode him, fast. He wasn't sure where she had learned this considering last night was the first for her, but he wasn't complaining. She moaned, moving her hands up through her hair as she vibrated on top of him. She moaned again as she pushed herself faster and faster to her orgasm. He moaned with her as she peaked, and he did at the same time, her hips coming to a stop, as he emptied himself again. He felt like his soul had left his body, after that. Bella lay in the bed next to him, while her heart calmed down, and the high feeling edged away. "Damn." Eric finally said.

"What?"

"Just… I don't have words for it. There's sex, and then there's fuck… sex."

"Which am I?"

Eric looked at her. "Sweetheart, I don't think I've ever came that much in my life."

Bella smiled a little. That boosted her confidence a little. "Well, I have nothing to compare it to. I'll have to test it out sometime. Maybe I have this affect on everyone."

Eric shook his head. "Oh no. Don't go around making all the male recruits too weak. I don't think I can actually walk after this."

"Seriously?" Bella said, raising up to look at him.

"I'm serious." Eric said simply.

"You're not just… saying things?"

"Do I look like the kind of person that would do that?"

"Yes." Bella said immediately.

Eric actually laughed, and it took Bella by surprise. She had never witnessed him laugh before. He stopped and looked at her. "That was highly satisfying."

Bella thought it was to. "But it's not going to happen again."

"Yes. Can't happen again. My plan backfired on me. Though maybe not entirely, because the question is, can you still walk after that?"

Bella's legs did tingle, feeling like they were weightless. "Not sure. Probably not."

"Good. Then tomorrow is really going to fuck you up."

"I knew it." Bella said and slapped his chest.

Eric chuckled a little. "Hey, you're the one that came back with me."

"Fair point." Bella said and then relaxed, laying back down beside him. "I really hate you."

"You've told me."

Bella looked at the ceiling. "This makes me hate you more."

"If this is how you treat people you hate…"

"Shut up." Bella said and rolled her eyes. "I'm serious." She said and looked over at him. "I don't like you. You make me angry all the time. You're trying to kill us out there, and I don't know why I thought any of this was a good idea, but it can't happen again. Don't use sex against me because it's the coward's way. Fight me head on."

Eric studied her and reached over and brushed the hair off her cheek. "I see your point."

"Good."

"Still going to murder you tomorrow."

Bella sighed. "I wouldn't expect anything less." She said and then she sat up, and forced her legs to work.

"Where are you going?"

"To my cot."

"Not going to sleep here?"

Bella raised a brow. "Were you not listening to me talk?"

"I was. Can it start tomorrow being a bad idea, and we hate each other, and I'm going to murder you tomorrow in training? In the morning, we could- "

"Nope. Not going to let you drain my energy before whatever it is you're torturing us with." Bella said and stood, a bit wobbly, but she stood there. "Nice try though." She said and grabbed her clothes.

Eric turned on his side and propped himself up with his hand and elbow and watched her get dressed. "Your side looks worse."

"Feels better oddly. Bruises getting worse means its healing. I'm fine."

"I know." Eric said. "Still need to keep putting the cream on it."

Bella pulled on her pants, and fastened them. "I will." She said and then pulled on her sports bra next and looked around for her shirt.

Eric smiled and got up off the bed, his legs feeling a little weak, but he was fine now. He picked her shirt up off the nightstand and brought it over to her and handed it to her. At the same time, he dipped his head down and kissed her. "You flung it a little far." He murmured against her lips.

Bella smiled and moved back, pulling her shirt on. "I see." She said and combed her fingers through her damp hair. "Bye Eric." She said and went to the door. Eric just nodded, and watched her leave. He pulled on his own pants and then retrieved his palm pilot to look at the message he received while in the shower with Bella.

[Max:] I'll take care of the Prior girl.

Eric frowned and then sent a message out.

[Eric:] She's already at the bottom. There's no need.

[Max:] If she goes, the other goes.

[Eric:] What are you talking about?

[Max:] Abnegation doesn't belong in Dauntless.

Eric looked at his bedroom door, thinking about Bella and then shook his head.

[Eric:] Bella is headed to the top. She's an asset to Dauntless. Leave her out of it.

[Max:] For now. See you in the morning.

Eric sighed, and tossed the palm pilot back on the nightstand, and ran his hands over his face. He wasn't sure what Max was up to yet, but he was sure he would know more in the morning. Max was also drunk right now, so sometimes his messages weren't so clear. He knew that Max hated Abnegation as much as he did, but Bella had been different. She truly belonged in Dauntless, and he had to figure out how to steer him away.
