Disclaimer: I do not own any of Ouran High School Host Club. If I did, I wouldn't be writing about it.
Sorry for some grammar mistakes. I didn't look over it. Its a little Mori drabble.

It seemed hopeless.
It truly did. He wasn't the kind of guy to fall for her. He was the person who would go along with his rich ways. And yet it seemed, when she came along, that he started to change. His friends noticed, but he took no heed to their observations.
He could feel it. He could feel the wall of his silent ego, crumble every time her smile was directed towards her. He thought he would get over it. He never liked women. They were plotting and gossiping and all other verbs that were associated with the Ouran High School girls.
They had money. They had artifical looks. They had acting classes. They had everything that they wanted, and only experienced hardship when daddy wouldn't buy them a new car.
However, she was a normal person. Normal, not a commoner. He didn't like the word, yet he remembered when he thought about it himself. It was true, that she was common...no she wasn't. She wasn't something that was plain and dull and boring. No. She was special...to everyone in the Host Club.
He knew it, along with the others. He knew it was a constant competition to gain her attention. Anyone could see that. He knew that because she didn't swoon over them the first time she came, that she held her ground and ws blunt and honest.
But besides that, it was the fact that she genuiely cared about each of them to an extent. He doubt that he was on her top ten but she did talk and give him that secret smile.
The sad thing was, he yearned for that smile. He went out of his normal lifestyle to help her in some way.
Noticed or unnoticed, he was there. Yet, he doubted she saw that. She was extremely intelligent to be on a scholarship. She would go for someone who was equally smart, like Kyouya.
Or she would like to the humour the twins gave her and want to spend more time with them, so her life was more intresting.
However, she could get used to Tamaki and actually like him hopelessly like he did for her - that way she knew there wasn't rejection.
But then again, Hunny could probably woo her heart with his sweet childlike appearances and make her want him as a son.
She wouldn't want me though. The guy who is afraid to be alone. The guy who barely says anything and makes it appear that he could care less that anyone thought about but when in reality, he live to please. To be accepted. To be loved.
'I only joined because I knew it would fill a small part of this emptiness that consumes me. I made Hunny join because he knew as well as I that I wasn't as brave as most people.
Plus, the sweets made him want to join even more.
The fact that I was hopelessly, head-over-heals, silently in love with her made me want to help her.
But that love
turned me into a worse character. I'd realize that sometimes I would
get extremely jealous when anyone came near her - man or woman.
And so, I will not persue her. I will let her live life with happiness and ease.
I will wait until
she needs to use me. I will put every ounce into what she needs and I
will silently return to my place until I'm needed again.
This way, I will only be there when needed, and then, as I hope with every fiber of my being, she will smile - that small, secretive smile.
One day, just one day. When she realizes that I'm always there for her, she will feel the same.
Perhaps, she will fall in love with me.
And then, she'll say one thing that will let me know it wasn't a mistake.
"Takashi-kun."' Mori smiled to himself, musing on what he had just thought about. But before he could go any further, he heard his Haruhi yelp a cry of help. He got up and proceeded to do what his life called out to do.
