FWEEET!

I look upon the magnificent Hogwarts Express as it rests in front of mePlatform 9 3/4. The combination of the rolling steam and high-pitched whistle setting the stage for what can only be a wonderful chapter of my new life in this world.

Oh ya, your probably wondering about how my grinding went for the past week. Wellits a little like this.

Yup. I've managed to raise all of my stats except Luck pretty well through a combination of exercise and studying the books Professor McGonagall got me during our trip. Annoyingly I haven't been able to do anymore quests so my level isn't advancing at all.

Oh I also figured this out why my Level isn't shown in my Status along with my Stats. Only found out by muttering level to myself as I was preparing for bed the other day.

So ya, it seems that every time I Level up I get a point to then spend in the Perk Shop which contains a very large list of benefits to me. I even saw the [Gamer's Body] and [Gamer's Mind] in there for absurdly high prices so maybe one day I can purchase them. Others I saw in there were things like [Sage's Eye], which granted the ability to wield the fundamental forces of nature, [Senju Heir], that doubled the points I put into the Endurance stat, and [Gambler], which tripled my Luck stat when gambling.

I also realized upon seeing the [Level Tab Unlocked] screen that matched the [Equipment Tab Unlocked] screen from when I got my wand, that it seems parts of my Gamer system are locked until I meet some kind of condition to unlock them. Kinda infuriating if you ask me but so be it, will just need to try as many things as I possibly can to get more systems added.

Back to the Hogwarts Express though, pushing through the billowing steam I make my way onto the train and claim an empty compartment for myself. After making myself comfortable Ibegin browsing through the [Perk Shop] again when my compartment door swings open and in steps two girls that look to be about my new age.

"Hey do you mind if we sit with you?" The first one, a blonde hair blue eyed girl asks. The other with brown hair and eyes following suit.

"Not at all, plenty of room for us all", I respond kindly, my eyes roaming over the two of them as I try and figure who they could be. Neither of them being very distinguishable from the books or movies so they'd have to be ones that never got any kind of real role in the story. Just as I was thinking this the blonde one speaks up.

"Thanks. Compartments are filling quickly and we didn't want to have to split up for seats. I'm Daphne by the way, Daphne Greengrass." The newly introduced Daphne says as she then gestures to brunette next to her. "And this is my friend Tracey Davis." She gives a small wave as she wrestles a small what appear to be candies out of her pocket. "Ahah finally. You two want some?" She asks as she holds the box out towards me and Daphne.

"Uh sure, name's Rin by the way. Rin Fraener", I respond and hold my hand out for her to pour some of the candies into.

"Nice to meet'cha Rin", Tracey responds as she pours a few for me and begins eating some herself, her face scrunching up in what appears to be distaste for a moment. "Blergh~ vomit flavored ones just my luck."

I take a moment to look at the ones in my hand and with a shrug begin eating them, finding that I seem to have gotten pretty normal flavored candies. "Not sure what you mean, just tastes like strawberry, chocolate, and oh never mind looks like a grass flavor as well."

"Feel free to ignore Tracey, its usually for the best", Daphne pipes in at seeing our reactions, a small smile on her face as she then begins to look me over.

"So, going by your name I suppose you're muggleborn right?" Daphne asks inquisitively.

Oh right, gotta try and remember that I'm not supposed to know a lot of things about the magical world or I may attract the wrong kind of attention.

"What do you mean? I just found out I'm a witch a week ago if thats it", I say after a brief second of thought like I was trying to understand her question.

Daphne looks apologetic before explaining, "It means your parents are both non-magical or muggles for short."

I try to pick up if she thinks theres something wrong with being muggleborn like most purebloods but can't quite tell yet so I just answer. "Oh, well I'm an orphan so I have no idea if they were or not. Its not bad to be muggleborn is it?" I decide to ask back to try and get a better read on the two of them.

The two of them instead exchange a look before Daphne answers, "Not at all though I would warn you to be careful as theres a lot of wizards and witches who look down on anyone with muggle blood in them. I'm a pureblood myself but Tracey here is a half-blood, meaning one parent is magical and the other not."

"I see." I say in apparent thought, my hand coming up to cup my chin when suddenly the compartment door swings open again and a bushy haired girl that I can immediately tell is Hermione, leans in.

"Excuse me, have any of you seen a toad around here? Another student has lost it and would like some help", she bossily asks each of us, peering at us like we're the ones hiding it.

"No, we haven't seen any toad around here", I tell her immediately, not trying to sound rude at her interruption but not quite managing it as the other three all look surprised at me. I guess my dislike of Hermione from the books is bleeding over.

"Rude. You could have just said no you know. And you should probably get changed into your robes cause we're almost to Hogwarts." She says before shutting our door and rushing off down the corridor.

"Well, I suppose she's right about that." Daphne and Tracey both chuckle at my words and we proceed to get changed. Luckily I've been practicing getting changed in my new body otherwise the two of them might've thought something odd was going on with me. I also make sure to keep my eyes away from the two of them as even though I'm now a girl as well it'd still feel weird to see others in a state of undress like this.

Finally we feel the train begin to slow and finally stop. Making our way off the train and onto the grass I gaze over the lake and marvel at the majestic appearance of the castle before us.

"Beautiful", I mutter, before taking my first step into Hogwarts hallowed halls.

To answer a couple questions some of you have had about the schedule and length of chapters: In regards to schedule there isn't really a set in stone one, a chapter releases once I get it to a length I think is long enough to post, but that brings me to the other question of length of chapters which I will leave to you guys if you'd like. If you all would prefer longer chapters but taking longer to be posted or shorter chapters that get posted more often say so in reviews and I can work on it for the majority demands.
