5 week timeskip to October 14
Been an exciting few weeks for me now, been grinding up my skills, stats, and Affection scores with as many people as possible. And the benefits of doing so have been beautiful.
Lets look at Stats first though.
[Rin Fraener the Gamer]
[Gender: Female]
[HP: 1064]
[SP: 568]
[MP: 1540]
[Str: 15(30)]
[End: 17(32)]
[Dex: 17(27)]
[Int: 20(35)]
[Wis: 17(42)]
[Luc: 18]
[Stat Points: 45]
[Perks: 4]
[Flaws: 3]
Couple of lucky encounters around the school managed to raise my Luck a bit but most of my grinding was spent on the regular stats, though its getting a lot harder to raise them anymore. Might be reaching the point where raising stats through effort begins to taper off and can only use Stat Points from here on. I'll probably wait till Second Year and go from there depending on the situation.
Also got a lot of EXP doing a bunch of miscellaneous quests around the castle. Like doing well in class, delivering stuff for Professors, and helping Daphne, Tracey and Hermione with their studies.
And most importantly, I got this.
[For reaching Level 10, Player now gets 2 Level Points every Level Up]
This'll speed up buying Perks by a lot. Also kinda explains the price of a lot of the Perks in the Perk Shop being so high, even with some of the absurd abilities and Skills they grant.
Anyways, onto the skills next.

[Beginner Defense Against the Dark Arts Mastery: Rank Dreadful(D): Passive Skill: Grants 5 Str & 5 End and 15% effectiveness to all Defensive spells]
All pretty good if I do say so myself. All these extra percentage increases will help with my spellwork.
Oh yeah, I also realized that the spells we're taught in class don't count as individual skills on their own, but are instead listed under the the Mastery Skill that the spell was taught to us in. Like this for example.
[Beginner Charms Mastery: Rank Dreadful(D): Passive Skill: Grants 5 Int & 5 Wis and 15% effectiveness to all Charms spells]
[Charms Known]
[Wand-Lighting Charm: A charm that illuminates the tip of the caster's wand, allowing the caster to see in the dark. Incantation: Lumos. 85% Chance of success]
[Mending Charm: Can be used to seamlessly repair a broken object and works on most materials. Incantation: Reparo. 90% Chance of success]
Not what I expected for the spells in Harry Potter to behave but at least my Mastery Skills will increase their effectiveness in general instead of using each spell forever to raise it. Just means that Mastery Skills will be my main focus.
And finally my Affection gains. Gained quite a bit with a lot of people thankfully. Has been taking a lot of work to do so.
[Affection Tab]
[Daphne Greengrass: 49/100]
[Tracey Davis: 30/100]
[Professor McGonagall: 21/100]
[Professor Snape: 8/100]
[Professor Flitwick: 20/100]
[Professor Sprout: 4/100]
[Professor Binns: 1/100]
[Professor Sinistra: 83/100]
[Professor Quirrell: 2/100]
[Hermione Granger: 25/100]
Going off of the Perk gained with Professor Sinistra at 50 Affection I can only imagine the strength of the one gained at 100 as well.
I've also started getting negative Affection with a couple students. Wonder what happens if they reach the -50 and -100 Affection.
[Draco Malfoy: -11/100]
[Vincent Crabbe: -3/100]
[Gregory Goyle: -5/100]
[Ron Weasley: -27/100]
Very surprising to see Ron on there right? Well it keeps happening since Hermione's been hanging out with us in the Library. Apparently Hermione hanging out with a bunch of snakes is angering him and dropping Affection very quickly alongside it.
Quite annoying if I do say so myself. Insufferable prat.
Although, I am kind of confused by the Affection tab, as my Slytherin Faction said that I'd gain and lose Affection depending on the House of those I interacted with, like Gryffindors would lose -30 Affection automatically but it seems to not be the case with both Hermione and Rons Affection only changing based on my actions. Odd.
Well maybe I'll figure it out at some point in the future. Can't do anything about it now unfortunately.
Anyways, me and Daphne are on our way to Charms, dealing with the annoying moving staircases along the way, and arrive inside just before the class starts, to see Professor Flitwick standing at his desk, a broken brick laying on it.
"Now then class, I hope you all have been practicing the Charms I have taught you these past few weeks? Professor Flitwick asks cheerfully, his head bobbing to his words. "I want everyone to come up when I call your name and show me just how well you can cast each of them and to those that manage to do so flawlessly I shall teach another Charm to celebrate." He says beginning to call us down to the front of the class in a random order, with only a few of them managing to cast the spells with any sort of decency.
"Now then, Miss Fraener. Come on down and show me what you can do." He says as I then make my way down in front of the entire class, my wand already prepped as I mentally prepare myself.
[Quest Alert]
[Quest: Perform both the Wand-Lighting Charm and Mending Charm better then the rest of the students in class to impress Professor Flitwick]
[Secret Objective: ?]
[Quest Reward: 300 EXP, 5 Affection with Professor Flitwick, and 1 new Charm spell]
[Secret Reward: ?]
[Accept/Decline]
Well thats a surprise, I think as I mentally click Accept. First time I've seen secret objectives and rewards which means that this is a pretty difficult Quest.
Going by the Quest says that I need to hit first place in skill just to complete the Quest, the only other thing I could think of to go above and beyond is to silently cast it. Not sure if I can do it but fuck it, I'm the Gamer and I do what I want!
I brandish my wand in front of myself, focusing with all my might. 'Lumos!' I say as hard as possible in my mind, flicking my wand as I do so and am greeted by a bright white light emanating from the tip of my wand.
"My word," I hear Professor Flitwick say to himself. While he is muttering in amazement at what I did, I move on to my next spell, turning slightly to cast it on the broken pieces of brick that Professor Flitwick set up for us to use.
'Reparo!' I repeat my previous level of skill with Lumos and swish my wand into an inward moving spiral, visualizing the brick repairing and putting itself back together. Professor Flitwick standing next to me and watching in amazement as I accomplish this task.
I reach forward and pick up the now completely repaired brick and hand it over to Professor Flitwick, who still looks amazed.
"How was that Professor?" I ask cockily, looking away from him and looking around the class at each of their amazed faces. Well, a couple of amazed faces, some are very jealous looking, others are bored or confused, not understanding what silent casting is.

[Beginner Charms Mastery: Rank Poor(P): Passive Skill: Grants 5 Int & 5 Wis and 20% effectiveness to all Charms spells]
"I am amazed Miss Fraener!" Professor Flitwick says to me, "10 points to Slytherin for such a remarkable display of Silent Casting. Have you been practicing such a skill my dear?" He asks, his eyes twinkling brightly in his excitement.
I'm taken aback for a moment before answering, "N-no Professor. I've been practicing the spells themselves and just then it felt like it... clicked I guess. So I just did it." I answer him, hoping that he'll buy that I don't quite know how I did it just that things worked out that way.
Professor Flitwick studies me briefly before smiling brightly, "Still an astounding performance Miss Fraener. And for such a great display of skill I'm going to teach you a more difficult spell then I was planning to. Come see me after class and I'll give you a demonstration and instructions on how to perform it." He tells me before dismissing me back to my seat, with Daphne and Hermione next to me, and Harry and Ron in front of us.
"Rin, how did you do that?" Hermione asks me from beside me, her voice somehow both amazed, and miffed at the same time. "Thats supposed to be something we learn in sixth year." She finishes saying.
"Like I told the Professor, I really don't know. It just felt right as I was doing the motion and suddenly it worked out." I answer her with, before noticing Ron looking back at us in a jealous glare. "Do you need something?" I ask, a bored look on my face.
Ron continues glaring before saying harshly, "Haven't you snakes gotten enough attention lately? You already have Snape doing anything for you, now you're trying to brainwash the other Professors to get away with whatever you want!"
I blink at him, surprise evident on my face as I try and comprehend what he's talking about. But before I can respond Hermione instead answers. "Ron be nice! Rin, Daphne and Tracey are very kind and don't do anything to anyone." She says trying to convince Ron herself.
Ron seemingly takes offense to Hermione defending us and angrily says in response, "Be quiet miss know-it-all! You know, it makes sense that you only hang out with snakes like them, since nobody else wants to talk to you in Gryffindor." Hermione's eyes widen in response and I can see tears forming in her eyes. And at that I can also see Harry's eyes widen as he goes to say something as well towards Ron.
"15 points from Gryffindor, and a detention with me this Saturday Mister Weasley." Professor Flitwick says as he approaches our end of the now empty classroom. Apparently the class having ended at some point with none of us noticing. "We'll also be having a talk with Professor McGonagall about you're behavior, am I clear?" He asks, not waiting for an answer before turning to the rest of us.
"Now everyone, the class has ended and you all need to head out so I can prepare for my next class. Except for you Miss Fraener, I'll be showing you your next spell." He says with finality, making each of the others leave before having me come to his desk at the front of class again.
"Now, the spell I will be teaching you Miss Fraener, is known as the Severing Charm. It is a charm used to precisely and accurately cut something, usually clothe." He begins explaining, waving his wand to make a pair of robes appear floating in the air.
He then moves his wand in a v-shape down and up, ending with a swish in the direction to cut and says softly but strongly, "Diffindo!" A cut in that direction appearing on the robe he directed it towards.
"Now Miss Fraener, the incantation is Diffindo and your wand movement is a v-shape down and up towards where you wish to cut. Practice at the robe over there and lets see how well you do." He says, motioning for me to try as well.
I take out my wand again and mentally prep myself, twirling my wand between my fingers as I test out the incantation on my lips before making my move. "Diffindo!" I exclaim loudly, watching as the spell hits the robe and leaves a small tear along its side.
[Charm Spell Acquired]
[Charms Known]
[Wand-Lighting Charm: A charm that illuminates the tip of the caster's wand, allowing the caster to see in the dark. Incantation: Lumos]
[Mending Charm: Can be used to seamlessly repair a broken object and works on most materials. Incantation: Reparo]
[Severing Charm: A cutting Charm used to sever an object in two. Incantation: Diffindo]
Nice. Lets get some more spells and get to practicing.
"Very good Miss Fraener!" Professor Flitwick says once again. Clapping his hands excitedly as he congratulates me for accomplishing it. "You are a natural at Charms dear. I can't wait to see just where you go with your skills. Now I do need to be preparing for the next class, so be off and don't forget to study well." He says as he waves his wand to dismiss the severed robes back away.
"You as well Professor." I say in return before turning away and making my way out of the classroom and to the Great Hall for lunch.
Arriving in the Great Hall I take a seat next to Daphne and Tracey who have already begun eating. "Hallo there Daph, Tracey." I say upon sitting.
"Hello Rin," says Daphne, with Tracey giving a muffled greeting due to her mouth being stuffed with a buttered roll. Me and Daphne both give her a slight look at that but just laugh it off. "So was the spell Professor Flitwick teach you worth it Rin?" Daphne asks as we move on.
"But of course. He showed me the Severing Charm and I'll be practicing it for awhile to make sure I can do it easily." I explain to the both of them as I begin eating the gorgeous feast in front of me.
"Well while you're doing that Rin, you can also show us how you did that silent casting you showed off in class." Daphne says with a tone of finality, with Tracey agreeing, "Ya, its not fair only you did it."
"Sure, though I'm not sure how well I can teach you guys. Still not fully sure how I managed it in the first place." I say in response, unsure how this is gonna go later.
Well theres only one way to find out I suppose.
The three of us make our way to an empty classroom and I begin explaining how I did silent casting. "So, its kinda difficult to explain this, but you need to concentrate as much as possible and visualize the spell you're attempting as you make the wand movement." I explain to Daphne and Tracey before continuing. "It can also help if you 'say' the spell in your head as you do so, being sure to keep your concentration up the entire time."
"I see," Daphne says as her and Tracey begin attempting it, nothing happening as they do so, much to their frustration.
"Ugh this is so hard!" I hear Tracey exclaim as she begins jabbing her wand in the air.
"Well ya, its something they don't teach till sixth year Tracey." I say in response, making Tracey pout at me for it. "Don't make faces at me Tracey." I say laughing.
Daphne continues attempting her spells but nothing continues happening for the entire time we're in the classroom and we eventually leave.
"Man that was so boring!" Tracey says exasperatedly, her voice resounding through the halls as we make our way back down to the Great Hall for dinner. "You must be pretty talented Rin." She says, her hands up behind her head.
"You think so? I don't particularly feel talented though, just working harder then most." I respond with, somewhat truthful I suppose. For someone like the Gamer, talent isn't as useful as grinding out the most minuscule skills or stats possible.
Daphne turns to look at me and also comments, "No, you're definitely more talented then a lot of people Rin. I can't remember hearing of anyone else who has ever accomplished silent spells in their first year. Will probably make some people wonder where you must've come from to be so."
I become silent at that and we finish making our way to dinner in relative silence between us. Dinner thankfully goes as normal and we begin heading to our common room afterwards, Daphnes statement ringing through my head.
"Actually you guys go on ahead of me, I'm gonna go see Professor Sinistra about some Astronomy questions I had." I tell the both of them, both looking confused at the suddenness of my decision but I've already begun heading that way and made my way to the Astronomy Tower. Knocking and entering like I always do I see Professor Sinistra going over some papers and seemingly grading them as she looks up and sees me now here.
"Ah Miss Fraener, I wasn't expecting you today. Was there something you wanted to talk to me about?" She asks with a smile, beckoning me to take a seat nearby, which I then do.
"Ya..." I start to ask, looking for the words to say. "I... wanted to ask if you knew a way for me to find out who my parents are?" I manage to force out, keeping my eyes downcast as Professor Sinistra looks at me for a minute.
I can feel her gaze on me for a moment and she then speaks, an oddly sad tone in her voice, "There is a way Rin, but I'll have to speak with Headmaster Dumbledore about if its ok to do so." She says finally, much to my surprise and wonder. "There'll be a lot of paperwork for us to fill out along with a trip to Gringotts, and it won't be for quite some time, the paperwork is long and takes forever for the Ministry to file away and approve." She finishes saying, giving me a sad but hopeful look.
"Thats fine Professor." I tell her, excited to find out if there is anything I can take on as my own. "Is there a time that I can come by to start it?" I ask preparing to drop anything I need to accomplish it.
"I'll speak with the Headmaster in the morning and then we'll have you come by his office when he's able to discuss it." She responds, "Its possible you'll be pulled from class at the time and have to make it up later ok?" She asks.
"Of course Professor." I answer, eager to do whatever I need to accomplish this.
[Quest Acquired]
[Quest: Discover who your birth family is and gain your inheritance]
[Quest Reward: 1000 EXP, Dependent on what is found, 1 Free random Perk from the Perk Shop]
[Accept/Decline]
I hit Accept and am excited for those rewards, especially the Free Perk. A lot of the Perks I've seen in the shop are incredible, even the ones that are cheaper could rapidly increase my abilities.
I then say goodbye to Professor Sinistra and make my way to the Slytherin Common Room and climbing into bed just as it hits midnight, when a sudden ding hits me.
[Happy 12th Birthday Player]
[1 Gacha Coin Acquired]
Well. At least I now know my birthday? Now how do I use this coin?
"Uhh... use Gacha coin?" I ask in mild confusion, only to be rewarded with another screen popping up.
The new screen depicts a roulette wheel with an arrow pointing inside it at the top. The wheel is then split into what looks to be a hundred separate multicolored options and the wheel begins spinning.
I eagerly await what the Gacha gods will give me and it begins slowing down, eventually stopping on a bright blue space.
[1 Gacha Coin used]
[Reward: Skill Book: Noble Phantasm: Akafiloga All-Grið]
'Noble Phantasm? Thats from the Fate series isn't it? So its some kinda super weapon I guess.' I think to myself as I mentally open my inventory and pull out the Skill Book, causing another screen to come up.
[Skill Book: Noble Phantasm: Akafiloga All-Grið]
[Noble Phantasm: Akafiloga All-Grið: Rank MAX: Active Skill: Activation Phrase: The pilgrimage to the great beyond! I am the Evil Dragon who stole the Grail of Heaven! Disintegrate everything! Akafiloga All-Grið!!: Player will then turn into the Evil Dragon Fafnir for as long as Mana can be supplied]
[Requirements: Dragon's Heart Perk, Dragon's Soul Perk, and at least 10,000 MP]
Holy shit. I can become a dragon with this? And not just any dragon but Fafnir? Fuckin sweet! Those requirements are a bit annoying but I'm already close to halfway there at least. Just need some way to boost my Mana and Level up enough to buy the Dragon's Soul Perk and I'll be unstoppable! I mean, who could defeat a Dragon in the Harry Potter universe?
"Lets do this Rin. Time to start grinding Quests harder then ever before. In fact," I begin saying to myself, planning out a couple Quest ideas in my head for things I've been meaning to do or want to do by the end of the year, causing a bunch of screens to begin popping up again.
[Quests Acquired]
[Quest: Find the Room of Requirement]
[Rewards: 1000 EXP, 1 Gacha Coin]
[Quest: Obtain the Philosophers Stone]
[Reward: 100,000 EXP, 1 Free random Perk from the Perk Shop]
[Quest: Lull the Cerberus Fluffy to sleep]
[Reward: 500 EXP, 25 Affection with Fluffy]

[Quest: Rank all classroom Mastery Skills up to Exceeds Expectations by end of year]
[Reward: 1000 EXP, Talented Perk]
[Quest: Achieve 100 Affection with Professor Sinistra]
[Reward: 100 EXP]
There we go. That should work for right now. I'll have to be sure to begin knocking each of these out as quickly as possible and get those rewards. That Free Perk from the Room of Requirement is especially tempting, all I know about its location though is that its on the Seventh Floor though. Am gonna have to explore the entirety of it or find someone thats already located it.
