Prologue
Joy skidded to a stop at the hatching grounds. Am I late? Did it already hatch? Did I miss my own dragonet's hatching day? IS IT A FAIL?! IS IT DEAD?! Joy and her mate finally came to a stop at a gold egg spotted with silver. Out of nowhere, a crack popped up on the egg, then another, and another, all of the sudden the egg shattered into pieces revealing her daughter. She was black all over but as she crawled out of the egg Joy realized her underscales flashed dark purple as the dragonet tested her powers. Joy set her down on the grass to play when a flower popped up taking her with it. The pride-filled parents smiled and locked eyes, "Harmony."
Harmony grew flowers as she waited for her parents. A blue dragon walked by and Harmony quickly folded in her wings, hiding the purple patterns. Harmony truly loved her powers but she believed her parents when they told her to keep her powers a secret if she wanted to stay safe. The blue dragon stopped and stared, probably wondering if they had imagined the underscales of her wings. "My name is Blacklight, what's yours?" Asked the strange dragon. Harmony knew she shouldn't do this but… what was wrong with her meeting other dragonets? "My name is Harmony." As she said that she unfolded her wings and the underscales started glowing along with her eyes. At that moment the world changed forever.
