Chapter 29

Well it's been awhile, I've been very distracted by my new story Naruto: Curse of the Ryugan but the multi chapter marathon on it has run its course so I'll be updating all my stories once again starting with this one. Here is chapter 29:

Last time:

"….I'll contact you once we've located those accursed Uzumakis." With that the clan head ended the call.

Noburu was exhausted after that exchange. 'The Karasu ninja are moving about and I don't know where they are. I need to call Rokuro and see what the hell is going on. I need to know where those strategic points are so I can have my fiends ready to jump in and assist. Damn! Lady Asuka isn't going to be happy about me throwing away so much money on this enterprise but what other choice do I have?' he winced mentally thinking of the last time she spoke to him. 'I'll have to come up with an excuse….Why the hell isn't Rokuro answering his phone?! He must be in a public area. Yes, that must be it.'

Pouring himself a strong one the fiend felt the alcohol burn as it went down his throat and started to feel a bit calmer. He sighed and thought aloud, "That's better. Well Noburu old boy, you've been in tighter spots and always triumphed for nearly a century. You can get through this." Certain he'd be able to contact his agent Rokuro in the morning; Noburu decided to call it a night. He'd had along and stressful day….

Uzumaki Safe House, Tokyo

Naruto awoke to the feeling of Kasumi's amazing curves pressed up against him and in spite of the fact they'd been at it all night he wanted her again badly. He gently brushed Kasumi's hair aside in the low light and began kissing her now exposed neck and shoulder at a sleepy, gentle pace. Kasumi moaned softly and started slowly grinding her backside against his hardening member. Naruto hissed at the delicious sensation and reached around and started massaging her body from her hips and stomach up to her firm breasts. Kasumi reached behind her and grabbed his rising shaft. "Mmmm….Naruto-kun; get it all the way up. I-I want you again…." she moaned lustfully.

Soon Naruto rolled her over underneath him and he slowly began to lick and suckle on her right breast while he teased her left one with his free hand. "I love you Kasumi-chan." he whispered between licks. She purred and pulled him up for an impassioned kiss before he entered her once again and she wrapped her toned legs around him with a lustful moan. It was going to be a hot, slow, sweaty, erotic morning for the young husband and wife. It would continue until they'd gone around three times before they were sated….Finally, Kasumi was relaxing on top of Naruto with her cheek lying on his chest as she drew patterns on his skin with her left index finger and thumb. The both felt completely satiated and were totally relaxed in each other's embrace.

"I love you Naruto-kun." she whispered. "Let's doze for a little while."

"Mmmm….I love you Kasumi-chan. Just sleep on top of me. Your silky soft skin feels so good against mine." Naruto said as he draped his arms around her narrow waist. With that the two lovers closed their eyes and slept in peacefully….

Noon….

Around noon both Hinata and Ayane got up. Apparently their clones of Naruto-kun had been just as lustful with them as the original was all morning with Kasumi. Naruto and Kasumi got up about fifteen minutes later and both Ayane and Hinata gave their husband very sultry wake up kisses. "Good morning my himes." said Naruto warmly as he slowly hugged and kissed each of them in turn.

Ayane smiled drowsily and said, "Actually it's afternoon Naruto-kun. All us girls had to had to sleep in because of you."

"I didn't mind." said Hinata with bright but sleepy eyes. "I guess we should have some brunch and start planning our move on the Sugita Building."

'I love my vixens….' thought Naruto with a dreamy smile. After sifting through the memories of his shadow clones from last night it was no wonder why everyone seemed so happy and contented….

The Hayabusa Village

Aoi was grumbling as she worked on the tree walking exercise. She was finally getting it down but she was a long way from perfecting it. Seeing Momiji working the next tree over she said, "Momiji-chan; how long do you think this is going to go on? Ryu-sama is still gone and I miss Naruto-kun and the others. Everything is so tense right now."

"Well, I guess no news is good news Aoi-chan." said Momiji with a sigh. "I wish we'd gone to Tokyo as well. I'd rather be snuggled up with Naruto-kun in a dusty safe house than sitting around here even if we do need to train. I guess Jô-sama was right when he said the Eye of the Dragon should be perfectly safe now. I should have listened to him. I'm glad you're feeling better again Aoi-chan. Are you all okay now?"

"I'll be okay." answered Aoi. "I just had to get over the initial shock of Obaba dying all over again. Seeing her as a fiend just chilled me to the core."

"I can't even imagine what that was like." Momiji suddenly hopped off the tree she was on and exclaimed, "Damn it! This chakra isn't moving right through my body. I'm going to sit down and meditate to try to find my center with it. If I'm going to get this right the chakra flow has to be even. It's so frustrating!" It wasn't the first time Momiji did this and Aoi just smiled knowing Momiji would soon be back at it on the tree.

Aoi hopped down from the vertical surface and decided a little break was in order. She picked up her water bottle and took a sip as she watched Momiji sitting in the seiza position at the base of the tree she'd been climbing on. Aoi was wondering about the look on Momiji's face though. Usually when Momiji was meditating she looked totally calm and serene but today she was looking irritable instead. 'She probably just needs to get laid. I know I do. Gods I miss Naruto-kun!' thought Aoi. Suddenly Momiji seemed to jolt a bit and Aoi saw a soft blue glow. A small but strong wave of energy flowed out of Momiji and washed over Aoi and the nearby surrounding area. Momiji slumped over to her side. "Momiji-chan; are you alright?" asked Aoi in a panicked tone as she rushed over to her sister wife.

Momiji opened her eyes and said. "Wow, what a rush! It was like the chakra ignited within me instead of in the seal. It's like I can feel it spreading through my whole body Aoi-chan!"

Aoi got a little wide eyed. "Momiji-chan; do you think you've unlocked your chakra core?! Hinata-chan said it should theoretically be possible but she doubted it would ever happen."

Momiji felt excited. "Let's try to find out; I'll try tree climbing again." Placing her foot in position Momiji tried to channel so chakra and….'Boom!' She was blown off the tree leaving a footprint in the bark.

"Good god!" exclaimed Aoi. "Are you hurt Momiji-chan?"

Momiji shook her head 'no' shakily. "I'm okay; that just really took me off guard." Standing back up she said; "I think this blown away bark looks like the mark Naruto-kun let when he demonstrated using too much chakra in tree walking."

"Let's go look." said Aoi as they went over to the tree their husband demonstrated on weeks ago. The two girls looked at the scorch mark Naruto's foot left behind back when he showed them tree climbing along with Hinata. "Your footprint isn't nearly as intensely burned into or as deep the tree Momiji-chan but it definitely looks the same as the one Naruto-kun left behind. Are you all out of chakra?"

The Shrine Maiden shook her head. "Actually, I feel like I'm overflowing with it! This is amazing." she said excitedly. "Let's look over those chakra scrolls in the house that Naruto-kun has in his study. He and Hinata-chan both said that when your chakra increases that you have to practice more to keep it under control."

Aoi asked, "How much chakra do you think you have Momiji-chan?"

Momiji shrugged. "I don't have a clue. I guess we should check the seal on my stomach too."

"Good idea." said Aoi. Let's head into the house and look."

Uzumaki Safe House, Tokyo

As the afternoon went on Naruto and his wives spent their time researching the thirty two floor structure that was Sugita Corporate Headquarters. From what they could tell there were 3 underground floors for parking and truck docks and twenty nine above ground. The building also contained manufacturing and packaging facilities as well as office space. It was a well designed and modern building that was constructed in the year 2000. The Uzumaki's suspected the security systems were very up to date as well given it was a computer parts company.

"Well, it's divided up neatly." said Ayane. "The top nine floors are dedicated to office space, the middle nine to research and development and everything below that is manufacturing and shipping. Most of the completed items are shipped offsite to various warehouses around the country."

"The products Sugita Corporation manufactures also include industrial robots as well as aftermarket computer parts." said Kasumi with a raised eyebrow. "I wonder if any of their security includes robotics."

"Let's assume the worst Kasumi-chan." Naruto said thinking about metal opponents. "If we go in expecting armored foes with guns as well as mid level fiends at least we'll be prepared."

"Good point Naruto-kun." agreed Ayane.

Hinata looked perplexed at the floor layout. "Is it just me or is this place laid out like a maze? Other than a central set of elevators you basically have to completely traverse each floor to get to the next set of stairs upwards."

Kasumi's finger traced the floor by floor routes they would have to take. "Well, it's dangerous from the point of view of a fire escape system but unless there are unmarked passages on the map it looks like there is no alternative other then the central elevator which no doubt is well guarded as well as armored. There a multiple cargo lifts on the lower floors for manufactured goods but their movement would be easily detected given how big they are."

"What about the ventilation ducts?" asked Naruto.

"Us girls could squeeze in but they'd probably be too tight for you Naruto-kun." said Ayane with a giggle. "I really don't want to have to pull you out of the ductwork if you get stuck."

Naruto sweat dropped. "Well, we could travel up the side of the building with chakra and break in on the upper floors."

Hinata nodded in agreement. "In spite of the fact it would probably set off alarms we could avoid a floor by floor battle. We just need to figure out where Fujimoto is to expedite the process."

"It would be easier if they had no central command." said Kasumi. "If we slip in and kill him first we should be able to clean the fiend population out floor by floor on the way back down."

Ayane interjected, "Why not have Naruto-kun's shadow clones invade the lower floors as a distraction? While all their attention is focused on the clones downstairs we can remove Fujimoto's misshapen head from his stooped shoulders."

"I agree." said Hinata in an approving tone. "Even if we were to just eliminate Fujimoto the fiend controlled infrastructure at Sugita would collapse."

"It's definitely a possibility but we might be better off with a stealthy approach." said Kasumi.

Naruto nodded. "I'll call Detective Arii and tell her we are on tonight. The building is closed by eight in the evening so I think we'll be safe to enter by ten."

Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department

Arii Maya was quite happy to hear from Naruto when he told her the Uzumakis were making their move tonight. After saying goodbye she went down to see Inspector Otaki about things….

Otaki opened his door and saw Maya dismissing Officers Yamada and Kimura so she could talk to the Inspector in private. "Are you busy Inspector Otaki?" asked the Detective. "There are matters I need to discuss with you."

"I'm always busy Detective but come on in and close the door behind you." said Otaki. "What is it you wanted to talk about?" he asked after they both were seated.

"Officer Kimura is a completely delusional idiot!" exploded Detective Arii to Inspector Otaki much to the latter's surprise. "If he starts hitting on the Uzumaki kunoichi's again they are going to murder him and I'm going to help them! Officer Yamada I can deal with but Officer Kimura is unbearable. We've had this conversation before. Are you absolutely certain we can't dismiss him?"

Otaki was trying; really trying not to laugh at his colleague's situation. "Maya, you know Kimura's Uncle is on both the Tokyo City Council and on the Police Board of Directors. How do you think Kimura got his job with the Police Department to begin with?"

Maya's eyes narrowed. "So that's Kimura's story huh? I should have known it was family connections since it certainly isn't merit. Okay, how about I trade you Kimura for an actual competent officer from your ranks? Hell, I'll settle for a semi competent one!"

"Ummm….How about no on all counts Maya?" said a sweating Otaki. "I have enough officers that don't pull their weight as it is without taking one in intentionally. Have you talked to Human Resources?"

"They won't touch Kimura with a ten foot pole!" exclaimed Maya. "Why do you think I came to you? Anyway; I had no idea about his Uncle. That explains why the brat hasn't been dismissed. Thanks for that tidbit Otaki."

"Would you like something strong to drink so you'll calm down Maya?" asked the Inspector. "I normally don't condone drinking on the job but I think you could use something."

"No, I'll be fine Otaki." said Maya calming herself down. "I guess I just needed to vent a bit." She pulled out her laptop and said, "Sugita Corporate Headquarters is going to be hit tonight so be ready."

"The Uzumaki's have confirmed it then?" asked Otaki.

Maya nodded. "Yes, I got the call just before I came over here and got sidetracked about Kimura." She rotated the laptop that showed a diagram of the area around the Sugita building and said, "Luckily there aren't any residential areas nearby so hopefully the Uzumaki Clan will be able to do their jobs quick and quiet."

Otaki cringed, "Gods I hope it isn't like Spa Laqua or the Sky City Tower incident. Mopping up messes like that gave me nightmares for weeks."

"It kind of makes you wonder what kind of training the Uzumaki's went through to be that strong." said Maya with a gleam in her eye.

The Inspector shook his head, "Well, I think their training didn't included morals or ethics courses. It's sad to say I actually consider such people the good guys but compared to the fiends and cults they've dealt with for us the Uzumakis seem like a bunch of humanitarians. Still, I don't see how you are so comfortable with them Maya."

"I've studied and worked with Ninjas for a long time Otaki." said Maya. "They walk in the darkness so ordinary people can walk in the light. That's how it's been for centuries."

"Sounds like you have a rather romantic take on them." chuckled Otaki.

Maya blushed slightly and said, "Maybe I do but if I had the choice between the Uzumakis and Kimura I'd definitely go with the Uzumakis."

Otaki shrugged. "You'll get no arguments from me on that point Detective."

Sugita Corporate Headquarters

Fujimoto Noburu had been trying to contact his agent Rokuro all day to see just what the Karasu Clan was up to. Karasu Ichiro had given him the brush off and the Karusu Clan had gone completely silent since last night. Fujimoto was the leader of The Stripes and possessed a lot of monetary and corporate clout but without a constant guard from the Karusu Ninja Clan he felt very vulnerable. The truth of the matter was the portly fiend didn't believe his fiend guards protecting him were strong enough to face the Uzumaki Clan alone even with the additional troops from Akiyama. He was pondering leaving Tokyo for a few days until things had cooled down but he feared what Lady Asuka's reaction would be. Stuck between facing the Uzumaki Clan and Lady Asuka's wrath….Noburu couldn't decide which was worse….

Hayabusa Village

Momiji was looking in the mirror at her exposed midriff looking at what was left of Naruto's temporary chakra seal. It originally reached from her heart to her navel but now it looked like the lines of the temporary seal had been two thirds erased. "There's no way this seal could still function Aoi-chan." Momiji said in astonishment.

"That means your body must be producing chakra on its own naturally!" said Aoi with excitement brimming in her voice. "This is amazing; think of all those cool jutsus you should be able to learn now! If it worked for you then maybe I can learn it too. Do you think Naruto-kun's seals are actually training our bodies to produce their own chakra? What did you do while meditating?" asked the auburn haired beauty.

Momiji sat down with a big smile on her face as she felt the chakra flowing serenely throughout her body. "The chakra in the seal always felt off to me because it was outside my body and I was trying to center it inside through meditation. I had no idea this was even possible. This is so….cool!"

Aoi nodded. "Yes it is. According to these scrolls you'll have to start over with the leaf exercise and stick a leaf on your forehead again before you go back to tree climbing. While you re-master leaf sticking I'll start meditating a few times a day to move the chakra inside my body like you did. If all of us in the Uzumaki Clan learn to do this we'll be even stronger! Naruto-kun is in for a big surprise when he gets back." Aoi said giddily.

"Here sure is!" agreed Momiji. "I wish I could surprise Naruto-kun with a jutsu when they all get back but that might be dangerous."

Aoi nodded. "Yeah, we'll have to get Naruto-kun and Hinata-chan to check you over and learn all the proper hand seals. I can't wait to see the looks on their faces when they get back."

Sugita Corporate Headquarters, 10 P.M.

Naruto, Hinata, Kasumi and Ayane were perched on the roof of the Sugita building. They'd scaled the building easily with chakra and were searching for an entryway that hopefully wouldn't set off alarms. The exterior of the building was covered with reflective windows so other than Hinata none of them could see in. They found a secured door on the roof, two skylights that led into the office space below and a helipad. Aside of various vents and pipes there wasn't much else to see. "The skylights both have sensors like the door." said Hinata as she searched around with her byakugan. "The roof under the helipad is heavily reinforced for obvious reasons….here!"

Hinata was standing on an ordinary section of roof looking down. "Cut a hole here in the roof with wind chakra and we are in. It's right above a storage room for a janitor. There's not a sensor in sight."

Naruto quickly drew a kunai and channeled wind through it. He carefully cut a hole to grip the roof piece by and after securing it cut a large enough hole for them to easily get in. I was a simple matter of lifting the now loose section of roof out to give them a passage in. The four Uzumaki ninjas entered and landed soundlessly in the storage room below. Opening the janitor's closet door (it was a push button lock and easily bypassed) Hinata lead the other three out into the open of the office space she'd seen through the skylights. There were battery powered emergency lights that were safety requirements that dimly lit the room in an eerie green light.

After making sure the floor was secure Naruto sat down and activated his sage mode. "There are a lot of fiends here; mostly chunin level energy wise. I count about….thirty in the top levels. There are maybe two or three on each floor. If we're careful we won't be detected and can pick them off. Where the hell is Fujimoto Noburu I wonder? I don't sense any large concentrations of fiend energy."

The top floors that were all office space were easily enough traversed. Security was minimal and slaying the fiends by ambushing them in pairs was done easily enough….when the last fiend dissolved into mystic ash Hinata said. "The floor below us is the research and development area's top floor. There is a lot of equipment down there I'll lay odds on cameras down there as well. I don't see any signs of movement but we need to be careful."

Naruto nodded. "I don't sense any fiends there either but plenty several floors down. Maybe we should have invaded the ground floor with shadow clones like we discussed."

Ayane shook her head. "We all agreed on the stealthy approach. There may be automatic defenses on these next floors anyway."

The four were about to head down when the group heard something above them make a loud but dull thudding sound. "What the hell was that?" asked Naruto.

Hinata was searching with her bykugan and said. "A helicopter just sat down on the roof!"

At the helipad….

Fujimoto Noburu got out of the helicopter with eight heavily armed security guards. With him was Akiyama. His guards quickly noticed the hole cut in the roof and investigated. Their security chief soon came back over to Noburu and said, "We believe thieves have broken in sir. Odds are they are headed to the Research and Development area. Their method of entry looks high tech and soundless since security hasn't detected a thing. We have sent out the silent alarm on the R and D levels. Do you wish to evacuate your persons sir?"

Noburu face palmed and Akiyama laughed. "When it rains it pours my friend." said Akiyama chuckling as he slapped Noburu lightly on the back. "Rather than enemy ninjas it looks like you are dealing with a rival company's corporate espionage. At least they should be easily dealt with."

Fujimoto turned to his chief of security. "Tell your men to fan out and search floor by floor. Capture the interlopers. Akiyama and I have business. We'll take the elevator down to the secured offices."

His security chief saluted. "Yes sir! Let's secure the first floor men. Once we have secured Fujimoto-san and Akiyama-san on the elevator we'll start cleaning house!"

With Naruto and the girls….

"There are two high level fiends and eight humans." said Naruto. "I think we've found Fujimoto and another high level fiend."

They saw the lights around the central elevator activate and heard the elevator move up the shaft. Hinata watched carefully with her byakugan as the two high level fiends boarded the elevator. "It's Fujimoto and Akiyama! I can see them clearly now. They are descending; we should take them out now!"

"Exploding tags!" said Naruto as he created four shadow clones. The clones each took two exploding tags from their creator and rushed over to set them up. Naruto and his wives rushed back behind some support pillars for protection.

Everyone held their breath as the listened to the elevator descend. Hinata was watching with her byakugan when she yelled, "Now!"

The four clones detonated all the tags simultaneously which caused a terrific explosion that rent the armored elevator shaft asunder. "Damn; we didn't kill them." whispered Hinata.

Fujimoto Noburu was in pain. That bastard Akiyama sensed something and shot through the roof of the elevator in a split second using Noburu as a meat shield to cover his escape. "AK-I-YA-MA!" he roared as he crashed out of the burnt wreckage that was once an elevator. His bloodied form stumbled out in front of the shaft. He transformed into a hulking, obese nine foot humanoid creature with four limbs each ending in a hook like talon. It had no apparent head but instead of a normal gut it had a massive set of jaws lined with jagged, uneven teeth. It bellowed in a demonic voice, "DAMN-YOU-I'LL-KILL-YOU-UZ-U-MA-KI-AND-AK-I-YA-MA!"

The four Uzumakis drew their swords in the same split second it took Fujimoto to leap among them. "Damn he's fast!" cursed Ayane as she blocked one of the bladed arms with her twin kodachis and was being pushed back.

Hinata likewise blocked an arm with her own kodachi but was sent tumbling back from the impact. Naruto knocked the fiend Fujimoto back with a sage powered fist that staggered the beast and Kasumi pinned a leg with the Shrouded Moon. Fujimoto leapt back and tore off its pinned limb in the process spraying blood everywhere. It started absorbing energy by inhaling and gained some bulk which regenerated its severed leg. Naruto yelled "Everybody down!" as a hail of blades erupted from Fujimoto's now opened mouth. Naruto and the three girls dodged and Fujimoto started inhaling again. It was all the four Uzumaki ninja could do just to stay alive and not be sliced to ribbons as volleys of blades were launched one after the other. The ninjas blew pieces of Fujimoto off with exploding tags but every time it inhaled the gory wounds were healed in an instant. Finally all went silent as Fujimoto breathed heavily.

"UZ-U-MA-KI-ALL-DEAD? UZ-U-MA-KI-ALL-DEAD?!" bellowed Fujimoto questioningly as it seemed to look around blindly.

Naruto could sense his wives were all alive though motionless like he was. Reaching out Naruto sensed that the other fiends in the building were being absorbed by Fujimoto to heal himself and make those barrages of blades….there were practically no fiends left and Naruto couldn't sense Akiyama's presence anywhere. Naruto created a pair of shadow clones to charge Fujimoto and keep it distracted. One threw and exploding tag and the other attempted a wind style rasengan. Fujimoto inhaled again and Naruto felt the last of the fiends in the building perish as they were absorbed.

Fujimoto unleashed everything it had into a blade storm that obliterated the two shadow clones. "D-DAMN-UZ-U-MA-KI-Dead-now! Fujimoto said as he shrank back into his human form. "D-damn!" the bloated fiend gasped as he breathed like he had been running a marathon. Fujimoto rolled over on his back to get more air. "I'm so drained….It took every last troop I had to kill those ninjas….Fuck that Akiyama bastard….As soon as I have the energy to move again I'll hunt him down and destroy him….At least Lady Asuka will be pleased….The Uzumakis are history…." he said through labored lungfuls of air.

While Fujimoto was ranting an exhausted diatribe about Akiyama and the Uzumaki Clan Naruto and his three wives silently crawled out of hiding from amongst the debris. The entire level of the building was demolished except for the structural pillars that the ninjas had taken shelter behind. They all hand signaled to each other that they were okay and silently walked forward to slay Fujimoto with their swords. When they reached Fujimoto the fiend locked eyes with Naruto's glowing Sage ones and pathetically whimpered, "….no!" just before their swords ended his existence. There was blood and gore for an instant as they eviscerated the fiend and then his corpulent remains exploded into mystic ash. Fujimoto Noburu was dead….

"Well, that was distasteful." said Hinata tiredly.

Ayane sheathed her blades. "I think totally gross might be a better way to put it."

"Do you mean seeing his wrinkled, bloated ass naked or his fiend form?" asked Naruto.

"…."

"…."

"I think it's a toss-up Naruto-kun." answered Kasumi dourly. "I wonder how many more fiends we have to hunt tonight in this building." she added tiredly.

"None." said Naruto. "Fujimoto absorbed the life energy and killed every other fiend in the area. From what I can figure out it's how he kept healing and sending those blade barrages flying everywhere. Except for Akiyama escaping us I don't think a single fiend survived."

The group relaxed slightly and then they heard sirens outside as well as lights shining from the streets below. Apparently Fujimoto blowing most of the windows out of the 18th floor of the Sugita building attracted the attention of the residents of Tokyo.

"Let's head for the roof." said Hinata. "We can body flicker away from there."

The four Uzumaki Ninjas quietly made their way to the roof and easily avoided the eight confused security guards in the darkness. When they got to the roof the noticed the helicopter was gone and (presumably) Akiyama with it. Amidst the cacophony of the multiple sirens, spotlights and general confusion and chaos the four simply vanished into the night….

Uzumaki Safe House, 1:00 A.M.

At about one in the morning the four members of the Uzumaki clan made it safely back to their safe house where all of them showered and were given what medical attention they needed. They were all roughed up and had several cuts and bruises but considering Naruto's healing ability and Hinata's medical ninjutsu they were going to be fine. By the time they settled in for the night at three in the morning all they had was a few bandages that Hinata planned to take care of in the morning after a good night's sleep. Just as Naruto was about to drift off his phone rang and he grumpily answered, "Uzumaki here."

"Naruto, it's Maya. I'm down at the Sugita Building. What happened on the 18th floor?!" asked the good detective.

Naruto said, "Fujimoto happened before we managed to kill him. Every fiend that was in that place died mainly thanks to his actions. Akiyama escaped us though."

"Are you all right?" asked Maya sounding concerned.

"All four of us are fine; just exhausted." answered Naruto. "Thanks for asking though. Do you want us to come to Police Headquarters tomorrow or do you plan to come to us here?"

The detective said, "I'll drop in tomorrow morning after breakfast. I'll give you a call first. Sleep well Naruto."

"You too Maya." With that Naruto ended the call and set his phone back down.

He looked down into Hinata's sleepy eyes. "Was that Detective Arii Naruto-kun?" At Naruto's nod Hinata asked, "What did she need?"

"She just was making sure we were all right Hinata-chan." answered the blonde.

Hinata kissed him and said, "Anything else?"

Naruto yawned as he cuddled closer to Hinata. "She's going to call us tomorrow morning and stop in for our report. Maybe there will be some clues on Akiyama." He yawned again and kissed her softly. "Let's go to sleep Hinata-hime. The adrenaline rush is gone and I'm tired."

"Good night Naruto-kun." the indigo haired beauty said as she snuggled into his embrace.

"Good night Hinata-hime." said Naruto as he drifted off in her warmth.

POSTSCRIPT:

Well, nothing colossal but it's nice to get back in the swing of things. I'm re-reading the chapters of my various stories to make sure I'm up to date on things so the story continuity won't be an issue. Fujimoto is history and Momiji has unlocked her chakra completely by accident. Next chapter we'll see the fallout of Fujimoto's death and what Asuka's reaction is to Akiyama jumping ship. Also we'll see the dynamic return of every Uzumaki kunoichi's most implacable foe, Officer Kimura. Who will survive that titanic clash? See you next chapter. Blue out. 7/3/15
