Timeskip 1 1/2 weeks to October 31st
Been an exciting week and a half since the incident in the Lost and Found Room. After explaining everything that happened to Daphne and Tracey and convincing them to keep it quiet so we don't get in trouble, I spent a quick moment alone to go through the different Perks available in the Perk Shop, eventually choosing a few.
First up is definitely [Dragon Soul], I need it for the Noble Phantasm I got from the Gacha the first time.
The others are as follows:
[Heroes Descendent]
I picked this and chose the Queen of Shiba as my ancestor. Hopefully I'll get some useful things cause from what I remember in my past life, she was the wife of Solomon and an esteemed mage herself.
[Golden Body]
Figured I'd get this for the perfect body and Charisma Stat. Since I'm stuck in a female body I may as well make sure its the best one ever. Pretty self explanatory actually.
And that Charisma Stat, just so good seeing that description.
[Charisma(Cha): Enhances the strength and believability of your words and actions. Makes you seem more attractive to others, particularly those with higher Affection]
Like holy crap. I assume I can use this to raise my Affection with a lot of people even quicker now.
[Magus]
This one I actually picked for the Skills it granted me, being:
[Mana Sense: Rank Troll(T): Passive Skill: Player can sense Mana with one of their 5 senses, chosen at random. Sense of Smell chosen]
[Mana Circuits: Rank Troll(T): Passive Skill: Player has increased Mana Regen rate. Skill can rank up through meditation]
[Magic Mastery: Rank Troll(T): Passive Skill: All Magic Skills are increased in damage and effectiveness by 10%]
All pretty useful passives and can certainly assist later on.
[Duke of Wisdom]
Grabbed this for its Skills and the passive effect it grants. Kinda wish I grabbed another Duke Perk as well but meh, maybe next time.
[Magic Contemplation: Rank Troll(T): Passive Skill: Player can recognize and recreate Magic if their Mastery in that category of Spell is high enough]
[Magic Resistance: Rank Troll(T): Passive Skill: Player can withstand Magic used on them. Resistance is calculated by Players Level, Enemy Level, and both sides Stats. Can be overcome or ignored by certain Skills]
[Doubled Wisdom Stat Gain]
Very good and once I get to the level of Dumbledore and Voldemort there won't be any magic I can't recreate.
[Anti-Mage]
This one was just for the defensive Skills it gives. Bit of an overlap with [Duke of Wisdom] but overall I'd say it was good. It actually ranked up one of my Skills by getting it.
[Skill Rank Up!]
[Magic Resistance: Rank Troll(T): Passive Skill: Player can withstand Magic used on them. Resistance is calculated by Players Level, Enemy Level, and both sides Stats. Can be overcome by certain Skills]
/
/
[Magic Resistance: Rank Dreadful(D): Passive Skill: Player can withstand Magic used on them. Resistance is calculated by Players Level, Enemy Level, and both sides Stats. Can be overcome by certain Skills]
[Disease Resistance: Rank Troll(T): Passive Skill: Player can withstand all manner of diseases. Higher chance of overcoming them based on Skill Rank and Endurance Stat]
[Pain Resistance: Rank Troll(T): Passive Skill: Player can withstand all manner of pain. Increases based off of Skill Rank and Endurance Stat]
These will definitely help later on, though I do need to increase my Endurance Stat to help with the later two.
[Blue Blood]
I mainly grabbed this one for its increased MP Regen rate. Higher MP Regen then the more I can always use.
[Doubles MP Regen Rate]
[Players children will inherit this Perk]
[All Magic Skills gain 25% more EXP]
[Skill Rank Up!]
[Mana Circuits: Rank Troll(T): Passive Skill: Player has increased Mana Regen rate. Skill can rank up through meditation]
/
/
[Mana Circuits: Rank Dreadful(D): Passive Skill: Player has increased Mana Regen rate. Skill can rank up through meditation]
Was lucky to also get the increased Mana Circuits as well. So even more Regen being given.
[Divinity]
This was mainly for the doubled HP, SP, and MP. Everything else was kinda just the cherry on top.
[Doubled Base HP, SP, and MP]
[Random God's Blessing: Lakshmi's Blessing: Rank Max: Passive Skill: Increased chance of finding wealth and fortune]
[Can now wield Godly weapons]
That Blessing is definitely going to be helpful for the rest of my life. Probably means money won't be an issue from now on.
[Uchiha's Heir]
This, similar to Duke of Wisdom, will double my Intelligence Stat making me grow much faster.
[Double Intelligence Stat gain]
And with that just a couple of smaller ones left to grab.
[Demonic Attribute]
Only grabbed this for how cheap it is and since I got the Skill Book requiring it.
[Player has the Demonic Attribute]
[Can now wield Demonic Weapons]
Now all I need is the Stat requirement it listed and I'll have a long distance scouting Skill.
[Squeaky Clean]
Figured that along with the Golden Body Perk I'd also grab this to stay clean no matter what I do. Kinda lack luster but is marginally helpful.
Each of these is definitely useful and could help me become much stronger.
After all of that my Level Points took a huge hit but I'd say it was worth it.
[Player Level: 143]
[Level Points: 3]
[Perk Shop]
Oh, my Stats after grabbing these are this.
[Rin Fraener the Gamer]
[Gender: Female]

[Wis: 50(75)]
[Luc: 21]
[Cha: 5]
[Stat Points: 660]
[Perks: 17]
[Flaws: 3]
A shit ton of Stat Points sitting there that I'm not quite sure if I wanna use just yet or wait till absolutely necessary. Kinda difficult to know which would be better, considering my Stats aren't really going up on their own through hard work anymore.
May be necessary to just use my Stat Points to get them buffed up and grab some more Perks. Eh I'll give it while longer before attempting that.
"Hey Rin," the voice of Daphne coming from over to my right. "Didn't Professor McGonagall say that there was something important she was going to be going over with us in Transfiguration today?" She asks as we continue eating our breakfast at the Slytherin table, Tracey humming in agreement as she takes a bite of her muffin.
"I believe so, not sure what it could be though." I answer, biting into a piece of bacon and savoring the deliciousness of it. Gosh, I'm so glad I did the Quest to find the Hogwarts kitchen. Wouldn't have been able to get even better food any other way.
As we continue eating we then hear a sudden loud clanging sound from the other side of the Great Hall. Looking up and over I see Hermione rushing out into the hallway, with what appears to be tears in her eyes. Looking back towards where she was sat I notice Harry and Ron. Harry seeming uncomfortable and ashamed while Ron seems more irritated as he starts stabbing at his food with a scowl on his face.
"Well..." I start to say, letting a grin cross my face as I turn to Daphne and Tracey. "Seems I'll need to have a little chat with Potter and Weasley for how they seem to be treating our friend eh?" I ask rhetorically. Daphne gives me a withering glare as Tracey instead lets out a barking laugh.
Me and Daphne arrive at Transfiguration and take a couple seats next to Hermione, Daphne giving her a hug while I just smile in understanding.
"Whatever it was that those two idiots said Hermione, don't believe them. They most certainly aren't worth the air they breathe." I tell her, as speak of devil, both Harry and Ron enter the classroom as well, mere moments before the bell.
"Alright class." Professor McGonagall announces from the front of the class. "I want everyones undivided attention as I will only be explaining this once." She waits a moment for everyone to quiet down and focus on her.
"Now then, today is going to be a slightly more important lesson then the others we've had lately. Primarily due to the fact that today you all will be learning a higher level spell then you would normally be taught for this year." She finishes saying, her words catching everyones attention, myself pulling up my Mastery for this class to see what all I already know.
[Beginner Transfiguration Mastery: Rank Acceptable(A): Passive Skill: Grants 5 Int & 5 Wis and 25% effectiveness to all Transfiguration spells]
[Transfigurations Known]
[Matchbox Transformation Spell: Turns the target into a matchbox. Incantation: Flintifors. 85% Chance of success]
[Bird Transformation Spell: Turns the target into a bird. Incantation: Avifors. 100% Chance of success]
[Untransfiguration Spell: A spell to counter the effects of an incomplete Transfiguration Spell. Incantation: Reparifarge. 65% Chance of success]
Thankfully I've been grinding up my Mastery Skills for classwork lately. The Savant Perk is really showing its worth as I've gotten each of them up to at least Acceptable.
[Beginner Charms Mastery: Rank Exceeds Expectations(EE): Passive Skill: Grants 5 Int & 5 Wis and 30% effectiveness to all Charms spells]
[Beginner Potions Mastery: Rank Acceptable(A): Passive Skill: Grants 5 Dex & 5 Wis and 25% to all Potions effectiveness]
[Beginner Herbology Mastery: Rank Acceptable(A): Passive Skill: Grants 5 Str & 5 Dex and 25% to all Herbology plants and fungi]
[Beginner Astronomy Mastery: Rank Exceeds Expectations(EE): Passive Skill: Grants 5 Int & 5 Wis and 30% to all Astronomy knowledge]
[Beginner History of Magic Mastery: Rank Acceptable(A): Passive Skill: Grants 5 End & 5 Wis and 25% to all History of Magic understanding]
[Beginner Defense Against the Dark Arts Mastery: Rank Acceptable(A): Passive Skill: Grants 5 Str & 5 End and 25% effectiveness to all Defensive spells]
These Mastery Skills are very quickly growing thankfully. I am wondering what I'll get for maxing them out though. Whether it'll be a skill evolution or just gaining a new one or possibly nothing happens at all.
"Now, the reason for this is for how well you all have been doing lately in class, with a couple of exceptions, but overall you have been a very good class so far. As such I think you all deserve a reward." Her voice full of pride as she begins to explain the spell she's going to teach us.
"The spell you'll be taught today is part of the Conjuration branch of Transfiguration. Now, I understand we haven't covered Conjuration in much detail so far, but, I don't expect any of you to manage it within this class or possibly even this year to be honest. However, I do have the utmost faith in all of you to accomplish this before you would normally learn it in your fourth year." She tells us, looking over each of us till she locks eyes with me. Her eyes twinkling lightly similar to Dumbledore as if she was issuing me a challenge.
In response to her look I give a small nod, smirking as I do so due to the screen popping up in front of me.

[Accept/Decline]
I click the Accept button of course and watch intently as Professor McGonagall begins to show us the spell.
"Now, pay attention closely." She brandishes her wand before us, waving it up and then into a circle motion as she calls out. "Orchideous!" As her words ring out a bouquet of multicolored flowers bloom from the tip of her wand in a soft pink light, eventually branching off into multiple bouquets in front of her.
The rest of the class makes sounds of astonishment at the suddenness of the spell, marveling at the flowers for a moment as Professor McGonagall continues explaining. "Just so class, now I want everyone to follow my example and try to perform the spell. Remember to focus and be clear in your pronunciation of the spell so as not to cause an issue." She begins walking around the room, inspecting each students attempts at the spell.
"Well Rin, think you can do it?" Daphne asks from beside me, her wand out as she practices the motion shown by Professor McGonagall.
I let out a short hum as I watch her, watching intently as she makes the motions for the spell, memorizing and imprinting them as well as possible before answering. "Only one way to find out I suppose." I respond, bringing out my wand and waving it identically before announcing, "Orchideous!" The words ringing out loud and the same pink light forms out of the wand tip.
As the light dims away it reveals a single misshapen rose coming from my wand.
"Well... thats a slight success I guess." I mutter to myself just as Professor McGonagall walks by and sees how well I'm doing.
"Congratulations Miss Fraener. 5 points to Slytherin for managing something on your first try. Keep it up and put more willpower into it, make the flowers bloom with all your might." She says, giving me a small smile as she continues onwards through the class, giving advice to other students that are struggling.
I sit and focus on her words for a moment, thinking of what she means by more willpower being needed before giving it another go. "Orchideous!" Getting a slightly less misshapen flower out of it, showing marginal success. "Looks like this is definitely going to be difficult." I say as I turn to Daphne, who is practicing as well, only managing a few petals to form and lazily fall to the floor. I also see Hermione trying, and failing to show Ron how to perform the spell before he seems to snap at her, Hermione then shutting up and turning away, unwilling to continue practicing it seems.
The class continues on like this for awhile till eventually it ends, me and Daphne standing up and about to go grab Hermione when she quickly rushes out of the classroom. Sighing I turn to Daphne, "Hey do you mind going and getting ahold of her Daph? I'll stay behind and kindly let Weasley and Potter know a couple things."
Daphne looks at me with an exasperated expression for a moment before answering. "Rin, don't do anything to get in trouble ok? You and me both know they aren't worth it." She tells me, knowingly looking over at the two of them, Ron seeming to be complaining about something or other to Harry.
"Ya ya, I know. I'm just gonna let them know not to talk to Hermione anymore and that if they cause her trouble then they'll have to deal with me." I say in response, a coy smile on my face as I turn and walk towards the two problem Gryffindors.
As I begin getting closer I can hear Ron's words more clearly, his annoyance seeming to have been Hermione helping him of course. "She's just so bloody annoying! Thinks she knows everything and can tell us what we should do. No wonder nobody likes her but those stinkin snakes!"
Wow, Malfoy must really be goading them on these last few weeks for him to hate all of Slytherin already.
Before I get a chance to say anything Harry notices me having approached, interrupting Ron and pointing at me having arrived. Ron seems at first surprised at me coming by but then his face shows his annoyance and anger.
"What do you want?!" He asks harshly, a surprising amount of vitriol in his voice for us almost never having spoken to each other.
"I merely came by to tell you Weasley, don't ever treat Hermione, or any of my friends like that again. I don't know what specifically you said to her but if it happens again then we'll take this up with your Head of House and I highly doubt that she'll enjoy hearing about her students bullying one of their own." I tell him, Harry seeming saddened as Ron just gets even more annoyed and angry.
"We don't take orders from a stinkin snake like you!" Ron retorts in his unique brand of eloquence. "And if she wasn't such a know-it-all then I wouldn't tell her off so much!" Trying to justify his bullying it seems.
I ignore him for a moment as I turn to Harry instead. "And what about you Potter? Are you going to continue being a bully? Cause to be honest, I wouldn't have believed that the 'great and wonderful savior' of the wizarding world would want to be friends with a bully or be the bully himself." At my words Harry's eyes seem to widen to slightly but I've already begun to leave, walking away with Ron continuing to make his stupid taunts as I do so.
"Jeez, if Weasley is gonna be like this for the rest of our time here then its gonna be annoying." I comment to myself, heading towards the Great Hall, assuming that Daphne would have headed that way along with Hermione since lunch was coming close.
"Ruuuuunnnnn!"
"What?" I turn around at the sound of someone yelling along with the sound of footsteps hurriedly making their way towards me. Suddenly seeing Professor Quirrell running past me, a resounding lumbering and even louder noise coming from further behind him. The knowledge of what happens on Halloween with the troll quickly comes to mind and I very quickly turn back and start to run as well, only for a ding popping up to stop me.
[Quest Alert]
[Quest: Escape or defeat the 3 Monsters roaming Hogwarts]
[Secret Objective: ?]
[Quest Reward: 25,000 EXP]
[Secret Reward: ?]
[Accept/Decline]
[Quest Accepted]
Well fuck you Game. I didn't even get to decline that Quest. And what do you mean the three monsters roaming Hogwarts? There should only be a singular Troll in here!
Just as I have these thoughts I hear the lumbering noise round the corner fully behind me. Turning my head I can clearly see one Troll watching me, its large grey frame towering up much higher then me. Its eyes bulging out of its head at odd angles as it seemed to contemplate me in front of it.
"Raaaghgh!" Its roar resounding through the corridor as it begins running towards me, raising its club up into the air above it.
"Shit!" Cursing, I then turn as well and begin running quickly, pointing my hand back behind and using my only real offensive spell for the first time.
"Magic Arrow!" I shout, feeling the magic forming out of my hand and into the shape of arrow, before it shoots off automatically.
The magic arrow hits the Troll squarely in the chest thankfully, but merely leaves the thinnest of scratches, the Troll bellowing out once more at the inconvenience.
In response I continue firing them, magic arrow after magic arrow firing off from my hand as I run and continuously leaving small scratches over its front. "Magic Arrow! Magic Arrow! Magic Arrow!"
Rounding a corner I then stop and prep myself, "Ok Rin. This thing is hardy, and Magic Arrow isn't gonna do enough at base damage. Sooo, lets try that overcharging thing."
I reach out with my hand in front of me, gathering the mana towards my hand and slowly forming it into an arrow. The arrow forming at a much larger size in front of my hand, growing more and more as I wait and time it with the Troll, hearing it get closer to the corner I'm hiding behind.
"Raaaaghgh!" Its yell sounding closer then ever I prep the Magic Arrow, sharpening its edge with whatever skill I can manage so far.
The Troll quickly rounds the corner and appears in front of me, maybe ten feet away, its mouth wide open in a yell as it begins to lower its club towards me, intent on smashing me to bits. Thankfully its not to be you stupid Troll.
"Magic Arrow!" Shouting the spell once again, I can quickly feel the mana from the arrow flying out of my hand. Slamming into the Trolls chest, pushing it back with incredible force before theres a tearing sound. And before I know it I see a spray of blood come through the front and back of the Trolls body. A pained scream coming from its mouth that I'm sure I'll be hearing for a long time before it falls forwards onto its face, seeming to struggle briefly before stopping forever.
The backlash of firing the arrow causing me to fall backwards with a yelp. "Waah! Crap!" I exclaim, trying to keep my balance and recover but failing and landing on my back.
Scrambling up back to my feet I look and see the Troll dead on the ground, slowly stepping closer towards it, another couple of dings waking me from the situation.

[Troll killed]
[4000 EXP gained]
Fuck, I kinda figured there'd be exp for killing but I wasn't expecting it to happen so soon.
"Whew. Ok, what next?" I say rhetorically to myself, chuckling slightly as I take a moment to catch my breath. Not noticing what was about to happen next.
The sound of the wind rushing behind me was the only warning I got before suddenly being bowled over and sent flying away and hitting a wall hard, sliding down it onto my hands and knees.
[457 damage taken]
[1 End gained]
"Gagh!" Choking and coughing after sliding back down the wall and onto the ground, barely managing to look up and at what just hit me, only to see a boar-like creature standing there, watching and snorting at me as it seems to prepare to charge again.
"What. The hell?" I question, wobbling to my feet as I form another Magic Arrow, prepping it to help escape. "I don't know what you are, but you're gonna regret coming after me alright?" My words seeming to somehow have an effect as the creature squeals and begins charging towards me much quicker then I expected.
"Magic Arrow!" I fire the prepared arrow off and it works slightly, knocking the creature off course causing it to hit the wall beside me. As its distracted getting itself out of the wall I make the decision to run, quickly making my way towards the end of the hall.
"Magic Arrow! Magic Arrow!" I spam the Magic Arrows backwards just in case it does get out quick enough and hope they'll distract it.
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be as just as I begin to get to the next corner I hear the thunder of footsteps behind me and am slammed into again. Getting hit into a suit of armor off to the side, making it collapse with a loud clanging. Feeling what must be my right arm breaking from the encounter.
[521 damage taken]
[1 End gained]
'Fuck! I can't take much more of this!' My thoughts racing as I look frantically around, nursing my right arm against my chest as I watch the boar creature prepare to charge again.
"Stupid Rin." I bash myself, realizing for a moment that I could've used my other Witch Skill alongside Magic Arrow. I really need to get used to using these other Skills more often.
As I'm thinking this the boar creature begins charging once more. But, just as its about to reach me I shout, "Teleport!" Pushing a large amount of Mana into the skill as I look back behind the monster.
Bzzzt!
Suddenly I'm stumbling head over heels much further away, hearing the crash behind me from the monster hitting the collapsed suit of armor, a loud squeal sounding out as its entangled in the parts.
Looking back I quickly raise my non broken arm and pour as much Mana as possible into my next attack. Charging up as much of a Magic Arrow as possible, to the point that its more of a Magic Ballista in size. "Magic Arrow you stupid boar!" I shout, the Magic Arrow flying out faster then ever before, a sickening crunch and crashing sound coming from around the area of where it had been thrashing around, nothing left of it but a streak of blood and torn up stone.
[Tebo killed]
[5100 EXP gained]
My breathing labored and heavy as I look over the screens, only one thought coming to my head. "The hells a Tebo?" My voice wavering as my exhaustion starts to kick in, the mental and physical toll of running around the castle, breaking an arm and flinging spells out so much finally hitting. I drop to my butt onto the ground, leaning heavily into the wall behind me, keeping my right arm close to my chest as I just try and keep my breathing under control.
"My my, I haven't seen abilities like those in all my years here at Hogwarts."
I spin and scramble my way away from the wall, preparing to use either another Teleport or a Magic Arrow when the voice speaks up once more. "Wait wait! I'm not here to hurt you or anything! Look up a bit, I'm the portrait on the wall."
At hearing these words I then look up, only to be greeted by a portrait of an older hunchbacked man waving his arms to me, his face both excited at my noticing and worried for my behavior.
"You all right there girly? You should prolly just focus on staying still till your Professors come by. Quite the battle you've gone through there~" He says in a sing-song voice, waving his arms animately as he continues on. "Those Professors of yours should be on their way already I do believe, at least thats what the other portraits murmurings sound like. So just take a seat and indulge an old portrait like myself for a moment girly."
"Who are you? And what do you want?" I ask, keeping on my feet and watching for anything else that may be coming.
The portrait man smiles brightly and begins introducing himself. "Why thank you for asking girly. I am Merwyn the Malicious, at your service. And all I want is to know who you are as well." He says with a mocking bow towards me. Winking as he stands back up fully and beckoning me to go as well.
"Rin. Rin Fraener. And I've never heard of a Merwyn the Malicious before." I say curtly in response, letting out a small hiss as my arm moves, agitating it more then I'd like. "God, this fucking hurts."
Merwyn the Malicious chuckles at hearing me curse, causing me to glare at him harshly. "Oh I do apologize Rin the girly~ I just find it amusing that someone who could defeat a Troll and a Tebo in what appears to be their first year wouldn't also be capable of healing themselves. Why, back in my day it was mandatory learning to know multiple healing spells alongside their more offensive and defensive spells. Alas, these modern wizards and witches are more concerned with rules and regulations then with actual knowledge." He says spitefully, nearly spitting the words out in anger, the nearby portraits watching our exchange moving away from us.
He stops after a short moment of ranting and eyes me up again. "Apologies Rin the girly. I let myself get a little to into things as it were." After his apology he takes on a thinking pose. While he's thinking a familiar ding catches my attention.

[Level Up!]
[5 Stat Points gained]
That familiar and now unpleasant feeling from Leveling up hitting me, making me nauseous after the massive level up I had last time. I guess thats just something I'm gonna be feeling from now on, that sucks.
And it seems the Professors or another student, maybe Ron and Harry, took down whatever the other monster was. Wonder what it was? Prolly something I've never heard of like the Tebo was.
"You know, if you ever have questions, I would be willing to assist you in whatever questions you may have Rin the girly." The portrait of Merwyn the Malicious says, a cold smile adorning his face as if expecting me to just blindly agree.
"I'll think about it. And quite calling me girly! Or else you'll find that theres a myriad of things I can tell others to call you." I retort, finally hearing the sounds of hurried footsteps coming around the corner, Merwyn silencing himself as they do so, not before giving me one more smirk.
"Miss Fraener!?" "Rin!" The frenzied voices of the Professors as they see and finally reach me, Professor Sinistra being the first to do so as she quickly kneels down, inspecting me and hurriedly asking, "Rin are you ok? Is anything hurting?" Barely giving me a chance to answer.
"Y-ya. I'm ok, a broken arm is all I think." As I say this I can feel the adrenaline from everything finally wearing off, my body getting heavier as I lean in towards Professor Sinistra. "I... I guess I'm tired too." Managing to say as my eyes begin to drift closed.
"It'll be ok Rin. Just rest for now, we'll discuss things when you wake up." I can faintly hear Professor Sinistra's voice speaking as I drift away, my exhaustion addled mind not sure what she means as everything turns black.

Well that was an exciting chapter wasn't it? Rin got to experience a more challenging fight and had to overcome it just to survive. For those wondering about the Tebo, its a boar-like creature that can turn invisible and is spell resistant. This one that Rin fought was a juvenile, so not as strong nor did it have its invisibility fully mastered to where it could fight and use it. Good thing for Rin eh?
Have fun, eat some poodles, skin some xboxes and I shall see you all later~
