This... doesn't make any sense.
How in the hell can DUMBLEDORE, of all people be a Gamer?
"Well Miss Fraener? Anything to add to this?" I hear Dumbledore ask, lowering the sense of pressure he's exerting into me, Professor Snape stepping back as well.
Looking up slightly, I make eye contact with Dumbledore, seeing a cold look in his eyes, as if studying my every move, waiting to see what I decide to do.
Swallowing audibly I try and say something. "I-I, I don't know what you mean Headmaster. Y-you see th-the screens as well?" I stammer out.
Dumbledore merely continues looking at me, before finally answering. "Yes, I can. You see Miss Fraener, you and I are not the only ones capable of this ability." He begins explaining.
"As of now, you are the second person I know for certain has this power. There are also two others I suspect have it as well, though I can't say for certain." He continues on, standing from his seat and pacing around the room.
"This System we both have, it is a wonderful tool for rapidly raising ones abilities. As such, it must not be in the hands of those that would choose to go down the path of the Dark Arts." At this, he turns and faces me fully, staring me down with his final words, that same pressure building once more. "So Miss Fraener, is that the path you are working towards?"
I try as hard as I can to look Dumbledore in the eyes, and putting as much effort and emotion into my words as I can. "No. I... I don't want to be Dark or anything of the sort sir. I just want to learn magic and be able to hang out with my friends." I say truthfully to him, hoping beyond hope he'll listen and believe me.
This entire time, Professor Snape is standing off to the side, watching us intently with an unreadable look on his face.
"Albus. I believe she's telling the truth. If she did have some inkling towards following the path of Dark magic, then she'd already have started showing signs of it." He says towards the Headmaster, though watching me more so.
"And besides, even if she wanted to follow the same path as the Dark Lord, she'd need much larger resources then what she has access to now. Meaning there isn't anything to worry about, at least for the moment." Snape continues on, urging Dumbledore to calm himself.
Dumbledore just looks at me with an unreadable cold expression on his face. "Miss Fraener. How long have you had your System?" He then asks.
I think for a moment, my mind somewhat surprised by his question before answering. "Since, I got my Hogwarts Letter sir. After I received it, the Game screen showed up." I tell him before suddenly Dumbledore interrupts me.
"Game? Miss Fraener, this power is no 'Game'. It is a System, designed to assist its Users in their growth." Dumbledore says, dismissing my words immediately without a thought.
"Sir? It is though. At least mine is, I don't know about how yours works." I say back, trying to explain that we may have different abilities. "It says 'the User' at the end of your name right? Well at the end of mine it says 'the Gamer' instead. Wouldn't, that mean they're different?" I finish trying to explain to him, nervously looking between him and Professor Snape.
Dumbledore doesn't answer, merely continuing his pacing but no longer looking at me. Finally speaking up after a moment of contemplation.
"Do you have a way of proving that Miss Fraener? If so, then I'll believe you for the moment." He asks, giving me this ultimatum.
I definitely don't want to find out what will happen if I can't.
"Do you... have an analysis spell like I do sir? That'd probably be the easiest way." I offer him, nervously asking if he could just use a similar spell to me.
Dumbledore squints his eyes at me in thought, seemingly thinking of whether he should reveal that or not to me. "I do Miss Fraener. Come here." He demands, holding his hand out towards me.
Slowly, I approach him, reaching out and putting my hand in his like we did before, his wand resting atop my hand as well.

Instantly I feel his magic entering me, a distorted screen appearing in front of me as more of Dumbledore's magic hits me.
The coldness of his magic coursing through me, entangling its way inside me and feeling as though its gripping my heart. My breathing now stopped as he seems to inspect a screen in front of him as well.
Finally it ends, after what seemed like an eternity, and Dumbledore lets go of my hand, causing me to drop to the ground, my breathing erratic.
"Gguuh! Hahhh!" My eyes wide and chest heaving from that feeling of power coursing through me.
"Hmm." I vaguely hear Dumbledore say. "It seems you were speaking the truth Miss Fraener. Very well, I'll trust you for now. But know that if you begin to go down the path of the Dark Arts, then I will put you down. Severus, explain things to her, and afterwards come by my office. We have other things to discuss with this development." He says as he leaves Snape's office through the floo network he had set up.
Now its just me and Professor Snape left alone in his office.
After a moment, Professor Snape moves over to me and helps me up, before gently pushing me into a chair. "Are you alright Miss Fraener? Do you need something to calm yourself?" He asks me, kneeling in front of me for a moment and meeting my eyes.
"N-no Professor. I'm... I'm good..." I tell him, taking a moment to breathe and then continuing. "Can you, tell me what the Headmaster meant Professor?" I ask.
Snape merely looks at me for a moment, contemplating how to word what he's going to tell me.
"The Headmaster has been interested in you for some time Miss Fraener." He begins saying, having now taken a seat behind his desk. "Ever since you killed the Troll and Tebo, the Headmaster has kept an eye on you, doubly so after you showed off that Magic Arrow of yours."
"And now, you inadvertently showed him that you have the same sort of power that he has. This 'System' or 'Game', whatever you wish to call it." He continues explaining to me. "Hmpf, if I was a younger man, I'd be quite envious of this power you both wield." He says with a slight smirk.
Very uncharacteristic to see on him.
"Anyways, know that you'll be watched even closer now Miss Fraener. Both by myself, and the Headmaster." He tells me, his voice calm but stern, letting me know that they really won't allow me to go down the Dark Arts.
"Professor, I was being truthful about not being interested in the Dark Arts. I really do just want to learn magic and hang out with my friends. Nothing more." I respond, my hands scrunching up my robes as I resolutely ask a question. "And Professor, would it be ok if I ask a couple questions?"
Snape quirks an eyebrow at me. "I do need to meet with the Headmaster to discuss these developments, but I suppose I can answer one or two for you." He says in response, waving his hand towards me to go on.
"The Headmaster said that there was... another, with this power, and others he suspects may have it as well. Can I ask who they are?" I ask, interested in who else I may need to keep an eye out for.
Snape stares at me briefly before responding. "Sigh, Miss Fraener, the person who the Headmaster knew for certain had this power as well, well, was his greatest friend and enemy. Gellert Grindelwald. The two of them, according to the Headmaster, had the exact same power, and they used it quite a bit from what I've been told. Before, the Headmaster had to put Grindelwald down." Says Snape, his voice dropping lower as he explains this to me.
But one thing there surprised me. The fact that Dumbledore apparently killed Grindelwald instead of putting him in prison. Things are changing way more then I can truthfully keep up with.
"On the other hand, the Headmaster does also believe that the Dark Lord had this power as well. Unfortunately he can't say for certain due to the Dark Lord no longer being around." Professor Snape continues on. "And the only other one he suspects is Mister Potter. Though considering you used that Analysis spell on him earlier and don't seem to have seen anything, then I assume he doesn't have it?" He asks, looking at me quizzically.
"N-no. No he doesn't, at least not that I could tell." I answer him, shaking my head as well. "He seems to just be a normal person sir."
Snape merely sighs at this and mutters to himself. "Of course he is..." Afterwards, he stands from his desk and gestures for me to leave. "I do believe this is all we have time for. Head on back to your dorm Miss Fraener, and we'll discuss more later if necessary." He tells me as I'm ushered out the door.
Standing in the hallway for a moment, I can only think about how close I've come to dying in this world so far. From monsters, to a Horcrux, and now from the Headmaster himself.
"I need to be even stronger. Now."
At those words I begin heading towards my dorm room quickly, running through the halls and bursting into the Slytherin Common Room, startling the couple of older students hanging out in there. Thankfully I didn't have to deal with them as I raced into my dorm room and holed myself up in there.
"I need to go through everything I have in my Inventory. There must be something in there that can assist with growing stronger." I say to myself, opening up my Inventory and pulling out the crates of potions from my first venture into the Lost and Found Room. "Now lets Analyze these and figure out what they are."
[Polyjuice Potion x4]
[Can turn the drinker into the person who's hair is placed into this potion]
[Veritaserum x 2]
[When drunk, the drinker will be forced to tell the truth. The drinker can only tell the truth as they believe it]
[EXP Potion x8]
[Grants the drinker 10,000 EXP. Can cause nausea if drunk to often]
Without caring for the consequences of drinking to many of these, I begin downing all of them. Immediately gaining 80,000 EXP and feeling that nausea it was talking about.
[Level Up! x5]
[25 Stat Points gained]
[15 Level Points gained]
And at that I take a look at my Status Screen.

These are incredible. I'm gonna have to experiment with these a lot more later, once I've finished looking through my other items.
And it also shows that I've gained some Perks? I guess Dumbledore helped me more then either of us would've thought he would.
"Lets take a look at these." I say to myself, pulling up the Perks screen.

...
Hoh boy...
I don't even know what to say.
How do I handle this? Do I just roll with it? Ignore it and think about it later? Nah, that'd be stupid. I'm just gonna finish what I'm doing and abuse the hell out of these!
At that thought I continue looking through my stuff.
[Greater Wisdom Potion]
[Increases Wisdom Stat by 50 Points. Can only be drunk once every 30 days]
Quickly downing that for its boost. Thats a much better boost then what I've been getting for a while now.
That should help quite a bit towards getting the next Wisdom Perk.
And finally I've got these potions.
[Babbling Beverage]
[Causes uncontrollable speaking of nonsense]
[Calming Draught x2]
[Calms the drinker from any extreme emotions]
[Felix Felicis]

/
/
[Structural Analysis: Rank Exceeds Expectations(EE): Active Skill: Allows for understanding of an objects structure, and design by touching the object. Can be used to identify what an object is and its history]
And an amazing Skill rank up. It even added a new effect to the skill.
I then move on to other objects inside. Opening a small box that I had thrown inside back then and being very surprised by its contents.
A wand seemingly made of two other wands twisted together, sitting there rested in a soft cushion, almost as if its being caressed.
Picking it up, I can immediately feel a connection form between me and the wand, almost as if its absorbing my magic.
"Structural Analysis..." I mutter in astonishment.

[Description: A prototype chimera wand made by the apprentice wand maker Teddy Taylor during his time in the Lost and Found Room. Has a low probability of failure if the wielder can't supply an adequate amount of magic to it]
What. The. Hell? This thing is incredible. And that guy Teddy made it? Why? How?
"Ok Rin. Theres something big going on and you're wandering right into the middle of it." I begin talking to myself. "I've got Quirrell/Voldemort on one side turning me into his apprentice to assist in making Dark spells, Dumbledore and Snape on another making sure I don't go down the Dark Arts path, and some group in the background making plays even inside of the school."
Theres to much going on and I don't have the ability to affect anything with how I am now. I need some kind of way to speed up my growth even more, along with even more powerful Skills.
"Phew..." I breathe out slowly, letting out the tension that I could feel building within me. I then wave the chimera wand and use a spell silently with my mind. "Orchideous!" Using the spell Professor McGonagall tasked me with some time ago.
Instantly, a large framework of flowers blooms from the wand tip, encompassing a similar amount of space as what Professor McGonagall demonstrated to me.
[Quest Cleared]
[Quest Reward: 1 new Transfiguration spell, 1500 EXP, 10 Affection with Professor McGonagall]
[Secret Objective: Perform the spell silently]

[Perk gained for reaching 50 Affection with Professor McGonagall]
[Studious Student]
[Doubles EXP gain for all skills when learning in a classroom]
...
Thats what I'm talkin about!
Holy moly~! A bunch of Skills and a pretty useful Perk for just being able to use the spell silently!
"Not the kind of stuff I was hoping for, but its better then nothing and I'm sure I can use these to get much stronger~!" A smirk appearing on my face as another idea pops into my head.
Quickly I dump 15 Stat Points into Wisdom and the other 25 into Intelligence.
[Perk gained for reaching 400 Wisdom]
[Protected Mind]
[Helps prevent Players mind from being overcome by Mental Attacks]
Yaaaa~! Even better~!
"Alright Rin~ time to grind up once again~!" I say to myself, hurriedly activating the Thread Creation and Thread Control Skills. Immediately a bunch if threads burst from my fingertips, flying off and around the room, surprisingly easily manipulating them up, down and around the entire room.
Seeing all of the threads everywhere, I then activate Cutting Thread, slicing through all of the other threads with a burst of much sharper threads.
All of that is a lot easier then I would've expected it to be. I can only assume its cause my Dexterity is fairly good, otherwise it would've most likely been a bunch of clumsy bundles of thread everywhere.
"Nice. Lets see just where I can get these to~!"

Hello~ a pretty fun and explanatory chapter if I do say so myself.
Well, I wonder how Rin's gonna figure this stuff out. We got her being pulled into many different directions with Quirrell wanting one thing, and Dumbledore wanting another. And that behind the scenes conspiracy, what could that mean? Especially for them to be using a student for something? Weird to be sure.
I'd also like to make a small correction to last chapter. I forgot to add a Luck Stat to Dumbledore's Stat screen. Just imagine its there and that it had a ? on it.
Hows everyone doing~? Enjoying things so far? Got questions, comments, concerns? Send'em to me in either a review, or pm.
Rabbits, monkeys, and giraffes. That is all. Caenis out~!
