Hello I'm back. I apologize for the lack of chapters, I recently had to deal with exams and cutting out some toxic people from my life. That was not a fun time and I didn't have the motivation to write, but my midterms are done so I have a lot less studying time and more free time. I don't know how long this chapter will be but I'm just trying to get this chapter out to you guys to assure you guys I'm doing fine and that this story won't be cancelled, just slow updates for now but I am going to continue with this story don't worry.
It had only been a couple of days after Bell heroically defeated the minotaur when he woke up from his rest. His body and mind were both drained so he needed time to rest.
"Uggghhh. Where am I?" He asked in a daze.
"In so much trouble." Airmid told him appearing seemingly out of nowhere.
"Uhhh… hi?" He said wondering if he could fight that minotaur all over again instead of an angry Airmid.
"What was the first thing I said when you left?!" She yelled at him.
"To not get hurt again?" He replied scared.
"AND WHAT DID YOU DO!"
"I got hurt?"
"WHY YOU!" She yelled as she began another lecture about staying safe and not pushing himself too hard while all Bell could do was lay there and listen. He'd run if he could but he hasn't eaten in a while and had just about no energy left.
….
"Will she do that again if I'm back here again? Will it be worse? Oh noo." Bell whined after Airmid had to leave to take care of other patients.
"Ah so you're alive!" Welf said at the entrance of Bell's room.
"After that I wish I wasn't." He said.
"I hear you. I got here earlier but after hearing Dea Saint raise her voice I waited it out." He joked.
"Lucky you." Bell said.
"I know right? Anyways, how you holding up? Did you just wake up? I was here the other day and you were still out." He asked him.
"Tired to be honest. And starving. I woke up just in time for Airmids lecture, which I wish I could have slept through." Bell replied.
"You were gonna have to face that sooner or later ya know." He told him.
"Yeah, yeah. So how long was I out for?" Bell asked.
"Not too long, just a few days I think?" Welf said.
"I was out that long? Loki's going to kill me." Bell said scared.
"She would've if you weren't passed out when we brought you back. Seriously, I would've faced that minotaur myself if it meant staying clear from her." Welf joked.
"What else did I miss?" Bell asked.
"Not much really." Welf said. He told a few mundane things that happened in the meantime and that the executives of his familia went back down to the lower floors and earned their money and that Aiz and Riveria stayed an extra day there for something. Normally this information would've been kept private but Finn, considering that he knew and had adventured with Welf plus the fact that both of their familias were on good terms, thought it was alright informing him of what they did.

A few hours went by before Airmid finally let Bell go home, but not without giving him another earful about keeping safe. Bell made his way back to the manor to rest some more and see everyone again.
'What should I do when I get home? Should I eat? Should I get a status update? I'll see when I get there.' He thought to himself.
A few more minutes of walking went by and Bell had finally arrived back home. He heard from the guards that just about everyone had turned in for the day so Bell decided to check with Loki for a status update. Bell soon arrived at Loki's door and knocked.
"It's open." She responded.
"Heeeey Loki." Bell said nervously opening the door.
"Huh? You're alive?" Loki asked.
"Well, yeah?" Bell replied.
"Oh good. NOW I CAN KILL YOU!" Loki yelled as she flew at him like a bat out of hell.
"LOKI PLEASE! MERCY!" He pleaded dodging all of her attacks seemingly faster than normal.
"Damn status." Loki scoffed as she eventually got tired and stopped to catch her breath.
"Uhm, Loki, why are you so mad at me?" Bell asked sincerely.
"Well leaving aside the fact that you almost DIED A STUPID DEATH, you left in such a hurry that you didn't let me lock your status giving anyone the chance to learn you secrets!" She yelled.
"Truue." He agreed.
"Setting all that aside, what do you need? I'm busy." Loki said after grabbing another bottle.
' 'Busy' she says.' He thought.
"I was just wondering if you could give me a status update. I haven't had a chance to update it since I left." He asked.
"Yeah you have. I updated your status and locked it after they dragged you back. It's time for you to level up and choose your developmental ability." She told him.
"Really?!" He yelled.
"Yeess now sit down I want to drink more." Loki told him getting a sheet of paper ready.
"What options do I have?" He asked curiously.
"Well it's a first. You actually had a couple of choices, not a lot of people get even one, but this one puzzles me: Luck." She said.
"What does it do?" He asked.
"That's what puzzles me; there's no description. My guess is that it's quite literally, luck. You'll probably find better loot droops in the dungeon or lady fortune will smile your way, I don't know." Loki said trying to recall if she had ever seen the "Luck" ability anywhere. "Anyway, want to hear the others?"
"Mmm, no I would like that one please." Bell said.
"Wow no hesitation. Alright then."
A few seconds passed and Bell was now officially a level 2.
"There you go." She said.
"That's it?" Bell asked.
"Yup." She said.
"I don't feel any different though." He said while clenching his fist.
"Well what were you expecting? Some anime powerup while yelling as loud as you can?"
"Uh, not exactly?"
"Well, too bad. Congratulations, though, looks like you've got a new skill as well. Take a look." Loki said as she locked his status and handed his sheet over.

"Woooah! A new magic?! Wind? I want to try it out right now!" Bell yelled. "Wait, what's this skill about?" He asked.
"Hehehe. 'Heroic aspiration'. Aren't you a bit too old to be dreaming of being a hero?" She teased.
"UhHm, that's, well, I, aghh!" Bell yelled embarrassed. He'd be lying if he said no, he had always wanted to be a hero, but hearing it outloud was just too embarrassing.
"HAHAHA!" Loki just loved messing with her children.
"Okay. In all seriousness, I'm not to sure what it does. Try it out in battle and see what happens." Loki told him after calming down.
"Wow. That's, not helpful much." Bell said defeated.
"Aw, don't worry about it. You've got that 'Luck' skill so that should help you as well. Good luck with it! I believe in you!" She said as she sat back down with her new bottle.
"That's reassuring. Bye Loki." He said as he reached for the door, only for it to open.
"Oh? Bell?" It was Aiz. Turns out she had the same idea he did and went for a status update too.
"Oh Aiz, hello." He said.
"You're awake. I thought you would still be out for a while." Aiz said.
"Well, I feel good as new now!" He said.
"I'm glad." She said with a small smile making his heart skip a beat or two.
"Oh Aiz, the kid leveled up. How does it feel having your record broken?" Loki informed her favorite child. Normally she wouldn't like the idea of someone beating Aiz's level up record but since it was her own child, she could brag all about it and say how great of a goddess she was.
"Really?" She asked surprised.
"Hehe! Yes!" Bell said proudly. Hearing that he broke his idol's level up record made him super excited.
"Wow. Congratulations." She said happily with a smile. She didn't care much about her record, it didn't matter in the long run, but she could take pride in Bell's progress since she trained him.
"If you want, we could spar tomorrow to help you with your level shift." She offered. Truthfully, she wanted to see how strong he had become.
"Yes! Thank you very much!" Bell said happily. He was thrilled at the thought of spending more time with Aiz. More so considering she offered it.
"Alright enough chitchat. Scram kid, Aiz needs a status update." Loki told him so she could be all alone with Aiz.
"Oh right. Well, I'll be off now!" He said as he closed the door behind him.
'Wow. I forgot how much I fell for her. That was a great reminder!' He thought to himself happily. 'So, a new magic and skill. I'd love to see how it works but it will have to wait until tomorrow. Don't want a repeat of last time.' He continued. 'Beating Aiz's record huh? Could I be getting closer to her?' He wondered hopefuly.
"AIS LEVEL 6 IS HEEEERREEEE!" A loud yell was heard from Loki's room.
"WHAAAAAT?!" Bell screamed in shock. 'And just when I though I was starting to catch up to her.' He thought sadly.
"Well that's a bummer." Bell said defeated and made his way to his room. "No. I knew that this wouldn't be easy. If I want to catch up to her I need to keep at it. I mean, I beat her record so I must be doing something right! Right?" He asked himself. "Doesn't matter. The gap between us is still there and it's up to me to close it." He reasoned and clenched his fist in determination. 'I have to keep going. I know this will be a long road, but it looks like I can do it!' He thought as he crawled into bed in anticipation for what tomorrow would bring. He would take on whatever challenge thrown at him and his status glowed in response to his will.
Alright, I know this was a reeaally short chapter. The next one might also be a short chapter, I don't know. I had a really hard time writing this chapter. The dumb thing about me is that I kind of already planned out how the fights and battles would go but I never gave one thought to how everything else would go XD. Now I'll answer a few reviews like always.
But before I do that, Yes I added a wind magic. I have decided to do the whole 'gets a new magic with each level up' deal. Yes this was most likely done before, but I like it so we're doing it here XD. What magic would you guys like for Bell's next level up? Let me know in the reviews. If I see everyone kind of agree on one I'll use it. I'll ask for this after every level up so hopefully you wont mind that.
Tgn123 – That's actually pretty cool. I have an idea or two for how those elements may work but what were you thinking of?
King Damage – Yeaaah that's a bad habit of mine. I try not to over explain things but it happens sorry about that.
Pix25 – Yes I know using his healing magic would make more sense but I tried making it seem like a spur of the moment type deal. Also, this maaay or may not tie into a later chapter. 5 dollars if you can guess what it is lol it's pretty obvious.
Hello – Yeah I know I need to have Riveria see how Bell's influence helps Aiz but I just don't know how to write it in. Trust me guys its not because I dislike Riveria, I really don't lol, but I've been focusing on Bell's point of view. I kind of had an idea with the Aiz vs Udeas fight, but I really just don't want to write that entire fight. No hate to it at all I really liked that fight, I just don't like the idea of writing that whole sequence. Plus it wont change much in my story. But if you guys want to torture me, I can write it in next chapter or somewhere.
And one last thing. Do you guys think I should write the Apollo arc? I've seen how others did it and loved it but I can't just copy them and I can't think of a way to involve them. One fanfic I read was going to have Apollo and Ishtar team up and loved the idea but they haven't updated and I don't want to steal that idea even though I love it.
Oh and yeah I will make my chapters around 10k ish this is just a sort of update chapter letting you all know I'm fine and will get back to writing. Next chapter probably won't be that long like I said but idk. But when I get to the floor 24 incident that will definitely be a long chapter.
