Bio: Ryan Calaway was born on Augist 9th 1990 to Jodi Lynn and Mark Calaway, better known by WWE name the Undertaker. Ryan grew up in the wrestling business, his father often taking him to the shows with him where Ryan met many wrestlers. After his parents divorced, Ryan stayed with his father and was often backstage at WWE shows, watching his father, wishing to be a wrestler like him.
Mark Calaway began training his son when he turned 9 years old.
Ryan's first official WWE appearance was in 2001 during the DDP Stalker storyline in which DDP stalked the Undertaker's then-wife Sara and brought Ryan into the storyline after Mark gave his permission for it to happen. Ryan attended SummerSlam 2001 and watched the Undertaker and Kane defeat DDP and Kanyon.
At the age of 18, Ryan signed with the Independant scene and began his career as a wrestler. He had been asked why not start in WWE where his father was. Ryan said he did not want to live vicariously through his father and wanted to show that just because he was the Undertaker's son, doesn't mean he should do everything his father did. But he did tease a potential signing with WWE.
Ryan then signed with TNA in 2009, where he became a 3-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion, a 2-time TNA World Tag Team Champion along with Sting and AJ Styles. His tenue with TNA lasted from 2009 to December 2012 where his contract expired.
He then got a call from his father, asking if he wanted to sign with NXT, to which Ryan accepted and he debuted in NXT in January 2013 and his time in NXT lasted January 2013-April 2014. During that time, Ryan became NXT Champion and held from May 2013 to March 2014, his reign ending at 301 days.
After losing the NXT Championship, he got the call to debut at WrestleMania 30 and come to the Main Roster.
Accomplishments: TNA World Heavyweight Champion (3x)
TNA World Tag Team Champion (2x)
NXT Champion (1x)
Other: Has his biological mother's name tattooed on the left side of his neck, has Michelle McCool's name tattooed on the right side of his neck. Has the Grim Reaper tattooed on his back

"I still can't believe you are making your official WWE debut at WrestleMania tonight." Gunner Calaway said to his big brother on FaceTime call. "Isn't NXT part of WWE? Does that not count as a debut?"
Ryan snorted. "NXT's the developmental place, where we can show our stuff, try to impress the crowd and the higher ups before they decide if we're good enough to go to RAW and SmackDown. From what I hear, the Board of Directors and even Vince himself were impressed with me, seeing as I am the longest reigning NXT Champion at 301 days."
"And now you've made it to the big leagues." Gunner chuckled. "I still remember watching you debut in TNA back in 2009 and going on to team up with Sting and feud with Immortal, Fortune, Kurt Angle, and so on."
"Yeah, I do check in with some of the guys I was friends with there, but I hear Sting's leaving soon, and AJ's in NJPW as part of Bullet Club."
"Would you be part of that group if you didn't sign with WWE?" Gunner asked.
"Damn right." Ryan smirked.
His partnership with AJ Styles was the best. Allen came to be like a older brother to Ryan, often defending him against critics that think he should've gone to WWE where his 'old man' was. A part of Ryan wished he was with Allen and the boys in NJPW as part of Bullet Club, but their paths took different roads and Ryan was happy with being in WWE thus far and was ready for being on the main roster.
"What match are you doing again?" Gunner asked.
"The Andre the Giant memorial Battle Royal. So I'll be on before Dad is. Least I'll be able to watch him and Brock Lesnar go at it. Stubborn old man hasn't even told me the outcome." Ryan huffed.
Gunner snorted in amusement. "I think he'd want to keep something like the result of his Maina matches a secret until the ending of the match. Speaking of which, you think Dad's gonna finally be defeated tonight?"
Ryan paused at that before shaking his head. "I'm not sure, bro. I mean, Brock's a strong guy, one I hope to work with in the future. But this is the fucking Undertaker we're talking about here, guys' faced worse odds at WrestleMania and walked away the winner. Like when Shawn Michaels Superkicked him straight into the Pedigree at WrestleMania 29 a couple of years ago."
"that was a good match." Gunner nodded. "Anyway, I'll let you go. You got to be focused and prepared for tonight."
"Okay." Ryan nodded. "if you speak with Chasey and Gracie, tell them I love them and hope they are watching."
"Will do." Gunner nodded and they said their goodbyes before hanging up.
Ryan looked up from his phone and saw the driver was now pulling in outside of the Superdome in New Orleans, where WrestleMania 30 was being held. As the driver pulled into the arena, Ryan wasn't surprised to see his father waiting there as he did the same thing when Ryan went to NXt for the first time. Ryan got out of the car and took out his suitcase.
"Glad you finally made it, kid." Mark Calaway chuckled as he hugged his eldest son before taking the suitcase and they walked down the hallway. There was a few stares aimed at them, most likely surprised to see the son of the Undertaker himself here. They stopped off at the room Paul Levesque )Triple H) told Ryan to put his stuff in before they were to meet with him afterwards, so they went to the COO's office and found him on the phone, texting.
"I still can't believe you are in a suit." Ryan said with a shake of his head.
Paul groaned. "Why does everyone have something to say about the suit?"
"And what about that bald hair?" Ryan asked as he frowned. He remembered seeing Triple H with hair for most of his life. "Seriously, it was bad enough with Deadman here decided to go bald, no everyone's basically copying him."
"Watch your mouth." Mark said with amusement.
Paul chuckled and pulled his surrogate nephew into a hug. When Ryan was a kid and attended wrestling events his father brought him to, the wrestlers had become family to him and made sure to look out for him when Mark was out performing, and nobody wanted to piss off the Undertaker by picking on his kid or refusing to watch him. The ones that watched Ryan often were Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, the Rock, Kane, and Mick Foley.
"You ready for this?" Paul asked as they broke the hug.
Ryan inhales. "Yes, and no," He lets out the deep breath. "I mean, I've already dealt with the comparisons to my dad and I worked hard to show that I'm not just a second Undertaker, no offence, dad."
"None taken." Mark shook his head. "And we understand how you're feeling."
Paul nodded. "Listen, I got a feeling that will be the least thing to worry about. I think people are going to appreciate you for just yourself alone. Okay? We got a plan for you, might be slow for a while, but we want to plan it out right and not just spring you onto things. I need you to show me you can earn this and can do what we need so I can get you what you want."
Ryan nodded.
"You go out there, show them who the fuck you are and make all the critics and doubters shut the hell up." Mark said bluntly, causing Paul to snort.
"Way to be blunt about it." He said.
"Hey, it's the truth." Mark shrugged.
After speaking with Paul and Mark some more on what he was doing tonight, he then left to go get his stuff ready since he always liked to be dressed in his ring gear even before the shows start. It helps as a precaution just in case there's a last minute change of plans and they switch a match around to start first. God knows it's happened to him before in TNA, especially at Road Victory in 2011 when it was him vs Sting vs Jeff Hardy for the title and Jeff was high on drugs that night.
it was a night that left Ryan very disappointed.
"No way! The Reaper has come!"
Ryan blinked before he turned and grunted as he managed to catch a blonde-haired woman in his arms and he recognised her instantly. "Well, if it isn't Alexa Bliss!" He laughed as he spun her around, making her giggle before he put her down. "What are you doing here?"
"Oh, part of a special entrance." Alexa said with a grin. "You'll see. You here for a match tonight?"
"Yep. Finally debuting n the main roster after tonight." Ryan nodded.
"Wow, and your first match is at WrestleMania." Alexa said. "I'm watching for damn sure. Have to cheer on my best friend, don't I?"
"Don't let Mercedes or Rebecca hear you say that." Ryan joked.
"Best guy friend, you moron." Alexa slapped his stomach, giggling. "I remember you telling me of how you were backstage for every WrestleMania from 14-29, from a kid to now. How does it feel? Being here and knowing you'll be out there instead of back here watching?"
Ryan inhaled and shrugged. "It's different. I mean, being here was basically a big part of my childhood. Last time I ever made an official WWE appearance was in 2001 during that whole Stalker storyline with DDP. Now, years later, I'm back and ready to take my place here and show everyone, show the world, that I am not just the son of the Undertaker, I'm the guy that's gonna shut the doubters up and make them go crying for their mommas because they couldn't handle the fact they were wrong."
"Someone's been listening to CM Punk's pipebombs." Alexa said with a grin.
"Damn right."
The two spoke some more, catching up. Eventually, Ryan had to leave so he and the guys in the Battle memorial can go pver some spots. As he walked away, Alexa watched him go with a soft smile on her face.
#It's good to see him here.' She thought. 'His ass is just as cute as the first time I saw it.'
She smirked and walked away.
On screen
WWE WrestleMania 30 was live at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The pay-per-view event started when host Hulk Hogan came down to the ring for a segment, at one point accidentally calling the Superdome the "Silverdome". A few moments later, Stone Cold Steve Austin joined him in the ring, teasing a confrontation between the two. After that, The Rock also came down to the ring. The three reminisced about past WrestleManias and led the crowd in their signature chants and catchphrases. They then shared a number of beers together before departing the ring.
In the first match on the pay-per-view, Daniel Bryan faced Triple H (who was accompanied by Stephanie McMahon) where the winner would be inserted in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship main event later that night. Bryan kicked away Triple H's handshake and started the match strongly, including performing a tornado DDT off the apron. Triple H gained the advantage by driving Bryan's injured arm into the announce table and continually attacking the arm including a hammerlock belly-to-back suplex on the apron. Triple H applied the crossface chickenwing and a regular crossface on Bryan, however, Bryan did not submit. Bryan applied a Yes! Lock" on Triple H, however, Triple H reached the ropes to void the submission. As Bryan attempted a running knee, Triple H countered with a spinebuster and Pedigree for a nearfall. In the end, Bryan performed the running knee on Triple H to win the match. Following the match, McMahon slapped Bryan and distracting him long enough for Triple H to attack him from behind. Triple H placed Bryan's injured arm against the ring post and struck it with a steel folding chair. Medical staff tendered to Bryan while Triple H and McMahon celebrated on the stage.
Next, The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg and Billy Gunn) and Kane faced The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns). In the end, Reigns performed a Spear on Kane, and Reigns then performed another Spear on both Outlaws simultaneously. The Shield then performed their Triple Powerbomb maneuver on both Outlaws to win the match.
Next up was the battle royal for the André the Giant Memorial Trophy.
In the arena, the ring was filled with lots of WWE superstars that had been put into this match due to not having any other spot on the match card. Sheamus had just made his entrance and they were waiting for the arrival of one more.
Suddenly The Vengeful One by Disturbed blared through the arena. It was a song familiar to the crowd, but the name that popped up on the tron is what sent them into a huge uproar, just as loud as when Daniel Bryan defeated Triple H at the start of the show.
"Who-" Cole stops when the crowd went in a craze. "No way!
Ryan Maverick walked out to a huge pop.
"Are you kidding me?!" JBL shouts.
The wide eyes of the men in the ring spoke for everyone.
"Oh-oh, my God!" Jerry laughs. "Game-changer! Just listen to this place!"
Ryan stood on the stage, taking it all in as the camera panned around him. Ryan smirked a bit as he listened to the ovations he was receiving.
"What a night we've had so far!" JBL laughs. "We've had the Rock, Stone Cold and Hulk Hogan in the ring together, Daniel Bryan defeated Triple H, and now the son of the legendary Undertaker is debuting here tonight! It can only happen at WrestleMania, boys!"
"Folks, for those of you who don't know, that is Ryan Maverick, the son of the Undertaker himself." Cole said. "A man that has made his dominance known outside of WWE and has lived up to his father's legacy. And now... and now he's here in WWE! I'm getting Goosebumps, guys!"
Ryan stared down at the men in the ring and took off his coat, tossing it aside before he began making his way down towards it, never taking his eyes off anyone in the ring as they all stared at him in shock.
"Look at the looks on everyone's faces in the ring!" Jerry pointed. "They can't believe it! I can't believe it!"
"Nobody here can believe it!" JBL said. "This kid dominated down in NXT, NXT Champion for 301 days straight in his first reign as Champ, and now he's here at WrestleMania 30!"
Ryan started circling the ring, his eyes on the superstars in the ring as a cold expression came onto his face.
"Look at the size of him, guys!" Cole said.
Ryan fist bumped a couple of fans and let them tough his arm and everything as he leaned back against the barricade and smirked as fans patted him and cheered in his ear before he walked towards the steels teps and walked up them before getting in the ring, some of the other wrestlers backing off from him.
"Nobody wants to be near him." Jerry chuckles.
"I don't blame them!" JBL says with amusement. "This is a guy who will not hesitate to pummel you if you have a problem with him."
Ryan's theme dies down as he stands in the corner, smirking still while the cheers and chants haven't even died down as a 'Ryan Maverick' chant starts up.
"WWE Universe welcoming Ryan with open arms." Cole said.
"That is the son of the legendary Undertaker, they damn well will welcome him like a long lost brother." JBL said.
The bell is then rung.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
"And here we go!" Cole said as it becomes a chaotic mess as everyone fights someone. Ryan is seen tackling Ryback into the corner and hammering away on him. "Ryan Maverick with Ryback in the corner.
"I still can't believe he's here." Jerry says as Curtis Axel comes to his partner's aid only to be kneeded repeatedly in the stomach by Ryan who then clotheslines Axel.
"Again the rules: Over the top rope, both fleet hit the floor you are eliminated." Cole said.
"30 participants, this is WrestleMania 30." JBL said. Ryan runs and boots Yoshi Tatsu in the face, knocking him off the ring apron and elimionating him. "There goes Yoshi."
"there are bodies evrywhere." Jerry said. "But I think everyone's gonna be paying attention to one certain guy in this match."
Ryan punches Sheamus in the forehead, then clotheslines the Miz before tackling Curtix Axel into the corner and driving his shoulder repeatedly into Axel's stomach, then he moves out the way to avoid a clothesline from Ryback, causing Ryback to collide with his partner.
"Oh!" Jerry exclaims.
"Smart move there by Ryan Maverick." Cole said. "Taking down RybAxel."
Later in the match
The match had less superstars in it now. Now, there was only Ryan Maverick, Big Show, Sheamus, Cesaro, and Albertdo Del Rio. Ryan had done well for himself, eliminating 10 men altogether in the match. He had rolled out under the bottom rope and was hiding carefully, watching the match as Sheamus and Albertdo Del Rio got eliminted, then he watched as Cesaro lifted Big Show up like Hulk Hogan did to Andre the Giant at WrestleMania 3 and dump Big Show over the top rope, eliminating him.
Ryan took his spot and slid into the ring and ran as Cesaro turned around only to get clotheslined over the top rope... AND HE HITS THE FLOOR!
"Ryan does it!" Cole exclaims.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
The Vengeful One played as Ryan stood in the middle of the ring. "The winner of the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal... RYAN MAVERICK!" Lillian Garcia announced.
"Ryan Maverick has his big WrestleMania moment." Cole said. "Debuting here and winning a big match like this. He sure knew how to pick his spots as he eliminated 11 men altogether in this match."
Ryan went to a knee and di the Undertaker salute to a pop from the fans before he stood and threw off his sleeveless top before pointing at the Andre the Giant trophy and nodding in respect for the WWE Hall of Famer.
"Let the career of the son of the Deadman begin." Cole said...
And that's it for this chapter everyone. I hope you all enjoyed it.
