ika tako gamer: Thank you! Fun fact: it's been almost four years since the first Mayo vs. Ketchup. I wasn't around for the first one, but I was around for the rerun! ...Which was over a year ago. Time flies, huh?

Anyways, I'm assuming you're talking about the girls in the Rainbow Squids, so here's their hairstyles, using the names used on Inkipedia and their position on the player customization screen:

Octavia: Wave (Bottom left)

Geneva: Hippie (Top left)

Bonnie: Double-Bun (Top right)

Alexis: Haircut (Top middle)

Hope this helps! Everyone's silhouettes are also in the cover image, so if you don't want to look through any social media account I post art on for images of each Rainbow Squid (easiest would be toyhouse), you can use that (though I don't know how helpful it is).

Bonnie's PoV

Bzzt. Bzzt. Bzzt.

Blue eyes creaked open, the light of dawn seeping into her room. Bonnie sat up, her tentacles loose at her sides. She looked over at her alarm clock, the sound of it blaring. She pressed the top of it, turning the alarm off. She sat up, rubbing her eyes. She put on her glasses and let her eyes drift over to the Off the Hook calendar hanging on her wall.

It was the first day of school. The last one she'll ever have, now that she was a high school senior.

She got dressed in her usual outfit, fixed her hair into her usual double bun, and walked downstairs. With no sign of her parents, she put a hand on her chest and let out a sigh of relief. She prepared some cereal and ate it. As she put it into the sink, she heard someone approach her. She turned around to see her father with a digital camera, a big grin on his face.

"Guess what day it is!" he cheered.

"My first day of school," she muttered.

"Yep! Your senior year, too!" He grabbed her wrist and dragged her out to the front of the house. Standing on the steps, she clasped her hands together. "Say cheese!"

Bonnie gave a nervous smile, trying her best not to blink. The camera made a clicking sound, and her dad lowered the camera to look at the screen. "Hm..." He raised his camera again and took a few more pictures. Her smile becoming strained, her hands clasped tighter. When would the photoshoot end?

"Finally, a good one!" her father exclaimed at last. She relaxed, holding back any words she had to say. He went back inside, muttering to himself. "Alice is gonna love these..."

Bonnie packed her backpack and her lunch, said goodbye to her dad, and climbed into her car. She started it up and started driving all the way to West Inkopolis High School, ready to return to school once more. She ended up arriving a little later than usual, seeing the halls already crowded with people. Everyone was eagerly talking to their friends, showing off their clothes or doing some dance moves. She smiled. The first day of school was a magical one sometimes.

It didn't take long for her to find Octavia. She was pacing around in front of the cafeteria, holding her phone up to her ear. Alexis was near her, hanging up some decorations welcoming students to school. The posters described the graduating years of the high schoolers, starting with 2019—the seniors—and ending with 2022—the freshmen.

The thought that she was graduating high school within the next year felt terrifying. But she had to bear it. It wasn't too long before she was out of school now!

"Via!" Bonnie called, running up to her friend. "I'm here!"

The wavy-haired girl lowered her phone. "Finally!" she exclaimed. "I was waiting forever!"

"Yeah..." She rubbed the side of her head. "Sorry about that."

"It's fine." The bronze-skinned girl then posed. "Like my outfit?"

She examined her. She wore the half-rim glasses she bought at the last Splatfest, as well as an FA-01 Reversed jacket and squid-stitch slip-ons.

"Looks fresh," the beige-skinned inkling approved, giving a thumbs-up.

"Splat-tastic!" she cheered. "The Rainbow Squids are gonna love this outfit come lunch!"

They continued to talk outside the cafeteria until the bell rang, signifying that they had to go to their homerooms. They parted ways, and Bonnie wandered through the halls, holding the piece of paper describing her homeroom in her hand. She soon realized that it was on the top floor of the school. Sighing, she went up a few flights of stairs until she reached the third floor, out of breath. She started to walk as fast as she could, not wanting to be late. She stepped inside her homeroom as soon as the bell rang, much to the teacher's, a tuna, annoyance.

"Sit down, and we can make this quick," she scolded her.

"Y-Yes," Bonnie replied. She went to the only empty seat and sat down in it. The tuna picked up her roster and started to read off names. She patted a table, containing schedules. One-by-one, students rose from their seats, grabbing their schedules. The blue-haired inkling was one of the first people to get up, gulping as she rose from her chair. She grabbed her schedule and returned to her hair, still tense from the encounter.

The bell rang ten minutes later, allowing everyone to leave. Much to her dismay, Bonnie's first class was on the ground floor of the building. Once again, she went down several flights of stairs, soon arriving to the bottom floor. Several freshmen were aimlessly wandering through the school, teachers directing them to their next location. Bonnie made her way through them and eventually reached her math class. She entered the classroom to see an inkling standing in front of the chalkboard. He had light brown skin and balding violet hair, a pink tie attached to his dress shirt. He gestured to the desk in front of him. Bonnie examined it to discover that it was a seating chart.

Sitting in the seat behind her was a moray eel with a bow on top of her head. A girl none other than Lucy Muraena, one of the meanest people in the entire school.

"Ugh, you're sitting in front of me?" she grumbled. "Lame. Now I have to look at that stupid hair of yours."

"It's not stupid!" she protested. "It's fresh!"

Lucy rolled her eyes. "Whatever. It's still stupid. You should put your hair down, maybe that will reduce your stupidness."

"I'm not doing that!"

The eel bared her teeth, her expression changing into that of a grimace. "Really?"

Bonnie frowned and undid her hair, letting her tentacles fall behind her. Jerk! she thought, tears stinging her eyes. She took a deep breath. She shouldn't let her emotions overcome her. Besides, maybe she could ask to be moved to a different class.

Lucy said nothing more, and the rest of the class proceeded smoothly, with the teacher only reading the syllabus. ...That's what she did in her other classes, too. Read syllabuses. It was boring, but necessary.

Soon, lunch came, and at last, Bonnie could reunite with the Rainbow Squids.

"Hey Bon-Bon," Perry greeted, making finger guns. His mischievous smile fell upon seeing her hair. "Woah, your hair's down!"

"I didn't have a choice," the blue-haired girl pouted. "Lucy was in my math class."

"Lucy? Which one?" the purple-haired boy puzzled.

"Muraena!"

"The moray eel?" Geneva questioned. The long-haired girl sat next to Perry. "She's still around?"

"Yeah, and she's still as mean as ever," Bonnie confirmed. "She sucks."

"Well, putcha hair back up," Perry suggested. "Mean girls can't do ya in."

She smiled and began to tie her tentacles back together. "Alright, alright. You're right, she's not doing me in."

The rest of the Rainbow Squids soon arrived with their lunches, talking about their day. Bonnie opened her lunch box and pulled an apple out of it. She bit into it, the juicy sweetness flowing into her mouth. She continued to eat it, a smile growing on her face. She loved eating fruit!

After she finished eating the apple, throwing the seeds away, she heard a set of footsteps approach the table. She lifted to see Giovanni, Iris, Oscar, and Yvonne standing over the table. Oscar had brought a sandwich with him, eating it.

"Hello," the green-haired octoling greeted, raising a hand and waving it. "It is the first day of school, is it not?"

"Yeah," Inigo confirmed, "but you don't have to go up to our table."

"But what if we wanted to say the hello?" Yvonne bubbled. "That is rude!"

Yuri scanned the group. "Eight, Brayden, and Peyton didn't sign up for school?"

"They did not wanting to," Oscar remarked. "Eight focuses on the Splatoon. Brayden works."

"...And Peyton?" Octavia asked.

"She is nose-deep into history books," explained Gio. "She borrows a lot of books from Maya. She also buys many books with the cash she earns from turf war."

"I see..." Inigo noted, placing a hand on his chin.

"Oh yeah!" Geneva suddenly spoke up. "That reminds me." She turned to the group of octolings. "We went on a mission a few days ago. We captured an octoling, and we're trying to free him, but nothing's working."

"Nothing is working?" Yvonne perplexed. "How is that possible?"

"Don't know. We've tried Calamari Inkantation and several remixes of it. We tried hypnosis, too, but that didn't work either."

"I have heared stories of octolings who do not be brainwashed by the music of DJ Octavio," Iris remarked. "But, in stories, they usually are exiled or killed."

"So, you think it's like that?" the boy with the ponytail interjected. "He's not affected by the Calamari Inkantation?"

"Unfortunately," Giovanni answered. "So, he will keep serving DJ Octavio, unless you somehow manage to change his mind. It is sad."

"Don't think he's changing his mind," the long-haired inkling pointed out. "It's been four days, and we still don't know his name, much less any useful information."

"But...you are still going to hold him," he puzzled.

"To quote Alexis, 'Maybe he'll eventually give in and give us some info,'" she noted, her voice going higher to imitate the short-haired inkling.

"He seems to be the stubborn," Oscar noted as he finished his sandwich.

"Why not check it out after school?" Inigo suggested. "Maybe our presence could intimidate him."

"That's...not actually a bad idea," Geneva remarked. She looked between the Rainbow Squids, and then Octa Prisma. "I'll go with it."

"Fresh," the indigo-haired inkling remarked.

"Well," Gio started with a smirk. "See you after school."

"Bye," Bonnie said, waving goodbye. The group of octolings removed themselves from the table, returning to their own. As soon as they were gone, Roy released a sigh of relief, his face tinged with red. She looked over at him, raising an eyebrow.

"Uh, Roy?" Via spoke up. "Somethin' you wanna tell us?"

"It's nothing," he snapped. "Forget you ever saw anything." He closed his eyes and crossed his arms with a huff.

Inigo turned to face the wavy-haired girl and shrugged. "He'll come around. I'm sure of it."

Following the end of the school day, the group gathered on the steps in front of the school. Alexis had arrived as well, adjusting her bobble hat.

"Everyone here?" Geneva asked.

"I'm here!" Bonnie called, raising her hand.

The green-haired girl counted the people present and nodded. "Let's go."

They went to their cars and climbed inside, proceeding to drive to Inkopolis Square. They entered the parking lot and exited their cars, regrouping at the entrance. From there, they walked into the square, which was lively as ever as inklings and jellyfish roamed the streets. They walked over to the manhole next to Ammo Knights. Geneva looked around before turning into a squid and slipping through the grate, Alexis immediately following her. The rest of the Rainbow Squids and the members of Octa Prisma present soon slipped in as well.

When they arrived in Octo Canyon, Bonnie noticed two snow globes—one housed DJ Octavio, while the other had been shattered. The giant octopus was pressed against his snow globe, yelling something she couldn't understand.

"Huh?" Alexis gasped, now donning her hero suit and the persona of Agent 4. "That guy's gone!"

"He just left," Octavio spoke up, grumbling as he crossed his arm. "The youngster didn't even bother to free me!"

"Seriously?" Geneva questioned, looking over at him.

"Yeah. He jumped to Cephalon HQ."

The short-haired girl crossed her arms. "And how can we trust you?"

"Well, I want ya to get him back so that maybe he can free me, and also because he's a butt. I'm gonna drop the sea bass on him when I get out of this thing!"

Alexis sighed. "I'm not surprised."

"You said he was not giving you the information," Iris remarked. "Why go after him?"

"Maybe we can convince him to defect from the Octarian army," Geneva explained.

"Hey! Don't do that, you slimy hipster!" the giant octopus protested.

"Too bad," Alexis jeered, sticking her tongue out.

"Let's go," the green-haired inkling then announced. "We can't waste any more time."

The Rainbow Squids and Octa Prisma transformed into their cephalopod forms and super-jumped, flying through the air. While she approached a rock formation, Bonnie observed the canyon. She had never seen anything past the Cuttlefish Cabin before, but to her surprise, it actually seemed kind of pretty. Floating platforms were scattered around the canyon, each with their own unique features.

Maybe I should take a vacation here one day, she thought.

Suddenly, her vision went dark, and she saw some glowing lights in the distance. They had gone inside Cephalon HQ, she assumed.

They landed on a metal platform in the middle of a magenta lake, reforming. Standing next to a pole was an odd-looking inkling with bronze-colored skin and hair that reached just above his shoulders. He wore an octoling soldier's uniform.

...This wasn't an inkling. This was an octoling!

Upon sight of him, she heard Oscar gasp and turn into an octopus. She turned around to see that Yvonne had caught him, the orange octopus donning a worried expression on his face. Meanwhile, Roy tightened his fist. Oscar reached a tentacle out for him, but he said nothing.

"It's you!" the red-haired boy shouted.

"You know this guy?" Via whispered to him.

The octoling straightened, and he turned around, orange eyes curious. "How are you..." He trailed off as he noticed Agent 3 and Agent 4. "Hm... He...a friend of you, then."

"Yeah, and we're here to recapture you!" Alexis exclaimed, pumping a fist.

"How do you even know Roy?" Inigo spoke up. "He's never gone this far in here, as far as I know."

"I didn't meet him in here," the tan-skinned inkling corrected. "I met him in Port Mackerel."

"Correct," the octoling confirmed. "He...ruins the plans! I could have my brother being with me if not for you!"

"Your brother?" Geneva puzzled. "You never mentioned having a brother."

"Maybe he's a twin," Gio mused.

"I'm not gonna get into that," Roy barked. He changed his ink color to magenta and started running towards the octoling. "But now I can fight you."

The bronze-skinned stranger stepped out of the way, causing Roy to fall into the lake screaming. He emerged a few seconds later, coughing. He climbed back onto the platform, scowling. He swung a fist at the octoling, only for him to throw his arms up against his face, blocking the blow.

"Should we step in?" Bonnie asked the inklings. "We could outnumber him."

"Please don't..." Oscar murmured from behind her.

"Roy could win by himself," Yuri remarked. "The octoling's stronger, but Roy's pretty fast. He could tire him out!"

The octoling now attempted to punch Roy, raising a fist. The boy with his hair swept to the side ducked, so the fist did not connect with his body. He kicked the octoling's legs, causing him to stumble. Roy swung behind him and lunged, pinning him down to the ground. However, the octoling kicked him off, sending him falling on his back. He got up and approached the tan-skinned inkling, grabbed his wrists so that Roy couldn't do anything.

"You...'bit off more than you can chew,'" he remarked. "That correct, yes?"

The inkling gulped, red eyes going wide. "Uh..."

It was then Alexis started sprinting towards the octoling, kicking him in the face and knocking him off the platform, releasing Roy, though the boy had slid forward a few feet.

He got up and let out a sigh of relief. "Thank cod, I thought he was gonna splat me."

The short-haired girl smirked and put her hands on her hips. "You're welcome."

"Don't forget, Four!" Geneva called. "We still need to capture him!"

"Oh!" She turned around to see the octoling emerge from the ink lake, blood trickling from his nose.

He started swimming back to the platform. "I am not finish!" he growled, fury blazing in his orange eyes. He climbed onto it, wiping his nose before preparing another attack.

"Angel!"

The octoling paused and looked up towards the source of the new voice. "Huh? Mila?"

Bonnie looked up as well to see a curly-haired octoling with olive skin standing on top of a floating platform with cyan lights. She wore the same outfit as the male octoling, except she also donned a pair of shades. An oddly-shaped Octarian accompanied her. She gestured for him to get on and began to speak, but the words that came out of her mouth were not in the Inkling language. He super-jumped to the top of the platform, looking down at the group.

"I will return," he sneered. He wiped his nose again and remarked, "I swear."

The platform floated off, leaving the group alone. Oscar transformed back into a kid in Yvonne's arms, much to her surprise. She stumbled and dropped him, but the boy with the afro quickly got back up.

"You lost him," Iris remarked. "Good job."

Geneva crossed her arms and sighed. "We'll just have to get someone else for information. However long it takes."

"I'm just worried, though," Alexis added. "If Calamari Inkantation doesn't work on him, who's to say there aren't other octolings out there that Calamari Inkantation doesn't work on, too."

The long-haired inkling frowned. "Then we can't save everyone."

"But you can try your best, right?" Yuri chimed in. "Just save as much people as you can!"

"Yeah," Perry remarked. "Plus, you're Agent 3 and Agent 4. You're like, really good with dealing with Octarians. Battlin' or savin', doesn't matter."

She turned around to face the group. "...Thanks." She gave a small smile. "Let's go back."

"Yes," Oscar agreed. "I really do not want to be here for long."

Everyone turned into their cephalopod forms and super-jumped away, out of the cavern and back into the light, to the Cuttlefish Cabin. Upon seeing their return, DJ Octavio pressed against the snow globe once more, but when he failed to see the octoling—Bonnie assumed his name was Angel—among them, he grumbled, and slinked back.

"Ya failed," he noted.

"Yeah, like that wasn't obvious," Alexis quipped.

"We do have his name now, though," Geneva noted, walking up to the giant octopus. "Angel. Don't know his last name. He's friends with an octoling named Mila."

"Angel? Ha, I can use that irony in a diss track!" he boasted.

"Don't get any ideas," the short-haired inkling reminded him.

"Lightening the mood now," Yuri stepped in. "How about we do some turf wars? That'll get the ink pumping."

"Sounding fun," Iris agreed, pounding a fist into her hand. "I can splat some inklings!"

"Yes, I want to stop thinking about this," Oscar followed.

"Alright." Geneva smiled. "Let's go."

"Bye bye Octavio," Alexis said as they walked towards the exit of Octo Canyon. "Captain's almost done with his rapping lessons; he should be back soon."

"Great..." DJ Octavio muttered.

Soon enough, they arrived back in Inkopolis Square and started heading to the Deca Tower, ready to do a turf war once more.

A/N: This chapter is... Eh? It has some cool things, but my self-confidence is once again failing me. Hopefully I get into a better mindset, or else it could impact things negatively. See you next week, and Branchwing, out.
