ika tako gamer: Getting 100 chapters is an accomplishment indeed! I didn't think it would end up being one of the longest Splatoon fanfics (chapter-wise) on the site, though. Are there really that few stories with over a hundred chapters? But, I guess it's an accomplishment indeed. (I think I've seen the story you mentioned for first place. I think it had over 500 chapters? Not sure, but it was a lot.) As for my favorite Rainbow Squid to write... That's hard. I like writing them all! I actually like writing the bonus stories the most, since the point of view is a character I don't normally write about. It gives a lot of interesting insight! Though, if you want an answer, I think it would be Inigo. He's tends to be rather melodramatic, and I like writing characters like that. As for the second question in that review, yes, I have! I think the darkest chapter would be chapter 85. It's not every day you see attempted murder in a Splatoon story. Actual murder is even less if you don't count what happens in Octo Valley/Canyon/Expansion. The end of chapter 42 is also rather dark if you understand the implications, don't you think?

Now, let's proceed with the 100th chapter!

Geneva's PoV

Something was going to happen. Geneva could feel it.

It was an instinct she got sometimes, honed from countless battles while under the moniker of Agent 3. And when something was going to happen, she had to be prepared.

Though, lying in bed in the middle of the night was a strange place to get that feeling. It only made her uneasy.

Eight lied next to her, curled up as she slept. Her tentacles brushed Geneva's chest, giving her some sort of comfort. As for the inkling herself, she rested one hand on her stomach while her opposite arm hung around the octoling, one of her own tentacles resting on Eight's shoulder as well. She'd hate to wake her up if the moment she had been anticipating had arrived, but sometimes, there was no other choice.

Then the doorbell rang. Geneva turned into a squid and slipped off of the bed, transforming back at the foot of it. Taking a deep breath, she walked out of her room and to the living room, where the entrance to their apartment was. She placed a hand on the silver doorknob, turning it and pulling it so that the door creaked ever-so-slightly.

She saw nothing in the hallway. She looked down to see a single envelope on the doormat. Raising an eyebrow, she bent down, looked down both directions, and picked up the envelope, straightening her back and closing the door once she had obtained it. She walked over to the kitchen counter and turned on a lamp so that she could read it.

The envelope only had her name on it, only worrying her. Slowly, she opened it up and took out the piece of paper inside.

'I challenge you to a battle,' it read. 'Meet me in Octo Valley on Friday. Alone - Iris.'

"A battle..." Geneva muttered under her breath. "But why does she want to have one? In Octo Valley, of all places."

The green-haired inkling turned off the lamp and retired to her bedroom, placing it on her dresser before crawling back into bed. Thankfully, Eight hadn't woken up, though she had a frown on her face though.

Geneva smiled and rested her head on hers. She'll have to discuss the letter with her in the morning.

When she woke up, the first thing she saw was Eight standing over the dresser, the letter in her hands. She still wore a t-shirt and pajama shorts, the same outfit she wore last night. Her tentacles were curled up, tense.

"Three..." she muttered, turning around to face her. Of course she noticed that Geneva had woken up. She always did. "Where are you getting this?"

"That? I found it last night," she answered. "It was on the doorstep."

"I see..." She walked over to Geneva and handed the letter over to her. "Tomorrow is Friday, is this correct?"

"Yes." The green-haired girl folded the paper back up and got up from the bed, placing it back on her dresser. "I'll have to talk to the Splatoon about it. I don't think it's a trap, but if it is... It doesn't hurt to be prepared."

"You do not have to!" Eight insisted, grabbing Geneva's hand. "I can go with you. I am able to...hide. Yes, hide."

"So you can save me if I get into trouble?"

The octoling nodded, determined.

"Alright, alright. I won't tell the Splatoon."

"Thank you."

She couldn't help but smile. "No problem. Now, I gotta get ready for school."

"We can talk later... Just us. Correct?"

"Yeah, yeah. If you got a plan just pass a note to me or somethin' so Iris doesn't find out."

"I will do that."

Geneva kissed Eight on the cheek before shooing her out of the room so she could change. After she changed, she proceeded to get ready, eating breakfast and then brushing her teeth. When everything was said and done, she said goodbye and walked out the door, ready for a new day.

Following school, the Rainbow Squids met in Inkopolis Square. Geneva sat in silence, listening to her friends talk.

"And then a giant salmonid leaped out of the water, threatening to eat all of us whole!" Octavia continued with her story. "But then, Bon-Bon threw a bomb in its mouth, and seconds later, the salmonid blew up, and we got so many golden eggs!"

"Wow," Inigo gasped. "I never heard of a salmonid like that before."

"I think it was just a really big Maws," Bonnie pointed out, "so I just did what I would do with a normal Maws: throw a bomb in its mouth."

"...Fresh," she murmured. She hadn't done a lot of Salmon Run, but from what she's done, it was fun. The fact that she couldn't see out of one eye got in the way sometimes, though. To her, it was the most debilitating part. If something came from her right, it was basically flipping a coin to know if she realized it or not.

"Oh yeah, that reminds me," Alexis interjected. She pulled a folded-up piece of yellow paper out of her pocket and held it out towards Geneva. "Eight told me to give this to you."

Clever for her not to give it to me directly, she thought. "Thanks," she told the short-haired girl. She opened it up and read the contents. As Eight couldn't write Inkling well, she tended to make her intentions clear with pictures instead. The picture depicted her and Iris, holding their weapons, and the symbol for turf war. Above them was a picture of Geneva, a pair of eyes, and an arrow pointing to the two octolings. Below them both was a time: 4:00 PM.

She pulled out her phone to see what time it was right now. Much to her alarm, the new hour started in three minutes.

"I have to go," she suddenly said, standing up. "See ya."

"Uh... Bye," Alexis puzzled, lifting her hand to wave goodbye. The other Rainbow Squids said their goodbyes as Geneva rushed off towards the Deca Tower, towards the dressing room. If she wanted to spectate Eight and Iris's match, she would have to get into a disguise. She opted for the disguise she wore back during the Pulp vs. No-Pulp Splatfest—a Squid Nordic, with the goggles covering her eyes. She also put on a black Squideye, reminding her of her battles with the Vigilante. After she changed, she rushed towards a spectator lobby and started to hurriedly type in details for the match she wanted to spectate.

The match had just started, thankfully, but she didn't know how much time would pass before she was actually sent there. The elevator door closed, and she stood in the room alone, hands by her sides as she waited. Soon enough, the elevator stopped, the floor below her opening to reveal a grate. She turned into a squid and slipped through it. It shouldn't be long now.

The Deca Tower seemed to launch her out, as she found herself super-jumping moments later. At an incredibly high speed, she flew through the air, eventually coming into view of Arowana Mall. She landed in the open area of the mall, right next to some jellyfish, startling them and causing them to run away. She wiped some dirt off her knees and walked up to the fencing that separated her from the match, eyes scanning the stage for anyone she knew.

Just below her was Eight, standing on a metal platform as she aimed her E-liter 4K down at the top of the hill. She fired, orange hair blowing from the force of the shot. It didn't manage to hit anyone, but it still hindered an inkling wielding an Undercover Brella. Indigo ink dripped from the soles of his shoes as he lifted his foot, disgusted. Before Eight could fire another shot, someone leaped up at the crest of the hill and slammed a roller down on him, splatting him. After the figure reformed completely into a kid, Geneva recognized her as Iris.

They're on the same team for this battle, she realized. I guess it makes things a little easier.

As much as she would like to stare at Eight all day, she had to focus on the reason why she was summoned here in the first place—to watch Iris and see if she could learn something. Her good eye started to follow Iris, watching her as she traversed the area. Soon enough, the poufy-haired octoling went out of sight, so Geneva had to start running down the catwalk above the stage to keep up with her. She had to keep turning her head to look down, something she found inconvenient. Soon enough, though, she spotted Iris again, orange ink trailing after the octoling as she rolled her Krak-On Splat Roller along.

A tan-skinned girl with a normal Splat Roller started to run after Iris, a smirk on her face. However, her confidence faltered as soon as she tripped, alerting the octoling. She turned around and raised her own roller, the inkling backing up in fear. Moments later, Iris slammed down the roller, splatting her. She lifted her roller as a squid-shaped ghost floated away, proud of herself. She turned back towards the enemy base and started to proceed there. Geneva ran down to follow. As soon as Iris got to the bottom of the hill, she activated Baller and started rolling around, forcing anyone who respawned to go on one of the top paths. After the Baller exploded, Iris headed back to the previous area, opting to climb up to the paved area. The boy with the Undercover Brella appeared again, leaping up and performing Splashdown. Iris didn't even notice, leading to her getting splatted.

As a result, Geneva started to run back over to the orange team's spawn point. By the time she arrived, Iris was already gone, and she spotted her swimming down the hill, towards the middle of the stage. Once again, she followed her until she reached the middle of the stage, where a battle was ongoing. Eight was nowhere to be seen, but the other two members of the orange team were putting up a good fight against someone with a Custom Hydra Splatling. The inkling with the splatling's hair began to glow, and she activated Ink Armor, covering her body in hardened ink. She managed to splat the two inklings, but her armor broke, and she had been injured. It was then Iris appeared, swinging her roller vertically to splat her at last.

Maybe I should start writing this down, Geneva considered. She started digging into her pockets, only to find her phone, her wallet, the note, and some keys. She could use the notepad feature on her phone, but she preferred actually writing to typing. She sighed, leaning on the railing. She would just have to keep watching, then.

Iris seemed to finally notice her, looking up with a scowl. "Who are you?" she demanded.

"Uh..." Geneva searched her brain for an excuse. "I wanted to watch my friend battle," she replied in a higher-pitched voice.

The poufy-haired octoling stared at her for a few moments before shrugging. "OK." She said nothing more, proceeding to go down the hill.

The fair-skinned inkling continued to watch her, though her actions seemed rather...repetitive. She did the same thing every time—try to lure someone and attack. This strategy was effective though, as the orange team managed to keep the advantage the entire match. And it was all thanks to Iris.

The match ended, and Judd and Li'l Judd arrived to declare the winner. Just as she expected, the former showed an orange flag, declaring Eight and Iris's team the winner. The curly-haired octoling started to search the sidelines for Geneva, and soon enough, she found her. They stared at each other, gazing into each other's eyes. Eight lifted her hand and waved, which was enough to make the inkling's face red. She stood straight up, covering her face to hide her blush.

Cod, she never fails to be cute, she thought. I'll have to kiss her later.

Disregarding that, Geneva now had the information she needed. Tomorrow, she will win!

After school on Friday, Geneva immediately started to walk to Inkopolis Plaza, where she could find the entrance to Octo Valley. She still didn't feel ready to drive, and besides, she thought it would be better for Iris to beat her there anyways. That way, she could be sure it wasn't a trap.

Soon enough, she walked into the abandoned area, the tanuki and fox statues staring down on her. Their marble eyes served as a warning—if she wasn't careful, she could get splatted, and no one would know. Thankfully, she had made preparations. She walked over to a box in front of Inkopolis Tower and peered down into it. Eight slept inside in the form of an octopus, sunlight reflecting off of her. She kneeled down and planted a kiss on the top of her head.

That woke Eight up. She groggily opened her eyes, blinking before looking up at Geneva. She took off her beanie and gave a thumbs up, and the octopus leapt into her arms, crawling up to the top of her head and resting there. She put the beanie back on, now aware of the weight on her head. If all went according to plan, Iris shouldn't notice anything off. She walked over to the manhole that led to Octo Valley and turned into a squid, slipping through the grate.

She popped out in the open area, fresh air finally hitting her nose. If there was one reason she came to Octo Valley, it would be for the smell. It reminded her of her old home, before she moved to Inkopolis with her brother. And while it wasn't totally pure, it was the closest she could get.

Standing in front of the old Cuttlefish Cabin was Iris, staring at the chart Cap'n had once made when the Great Zapfish got kidnapped the first time. She removed a picture of an Octotrooper from it, blinking as she examined it with melancholy.

"Hey," Geneva greeted. "I'm here."

The octoling lifted her head and pinned the picture back onto the chart, turning to face the long-haired inkling. "You are here," she echoed.

"Yeah, so..." She rubbed the back of her head. "Where are we battling?"

"You do get straight to the point," Iris noted, amused. "Do follow me."

She turned into an octopus, super-jumping north, towards Area 4. Geneva proceeded to do the same, aware of Eight clinging to her. They landed underneath the area, on some floating platforms. She had to be careful—one misstep, and she would be falling into the abyss. Iris sat on a kettle, tapping on it with the heels of her shoes. She then transformed again, slipping through the grate on top of the kettle. Seeing that to be their destination, Geneva quickly followed.

She ended up spawning in a replica of Bluefin Depot, though Iris was nowhere in sight as the skylight flickered in-and-out of existence. The spawn point, oddly enough, appeared to be new, the circling arrow design underneath her feet glowing green. She took off her beanie, allowing for Eight to slip away and observe from a distance. She looked behind her to see the green octopus, who waved before crawling behind the brick wall, away from Geneva.

I hope she'll be OK, she thought. Knowing her girlfriend, she should be able to handle things well, but her worry remained regardless. Now, Geneva had an objective—find Iris. She didn't know if the battle had started or not, but nonetheless, she pulled out her Hero Shot Replica, ready to retaliate if the octoling happened to jump out and attack her.

She walked down the bridge to see a zapfish doll on the base of a lightbulb, a golden barrier surrounding it. It kind of reminded her of when she first became Agent 3 three years ago, going into the Octarian domes and saving the zapfish. But why was one here...? Curious, she shot the barrier, but nothing happened. Green ink merely dripped off of it, dissipating as soon as it hit the ground. She shrugged and treaded around it, now walking towards the middle of the area. If it was a trap, she didn't want to linger around that doll for long.

She dropped down to the lowest area of the depot, where she found Iris, leaning against the brick wall on the other side of the clearing. The wheel of her Krak-On Splat Roller rested against the ground, creating a spot of indigo ink underneath it.

"You have arrive," she stated, looking up.

"Yeah," she confirmed. "You gonna explain?"

"This is something I have Giovanni help me set up. The rules is the simple," she began. "You have to get to the other side and take the zapfish. The person who gets it first wins."

Odd... Is this a game Octarians played back in the domes? "Is there a time limit?" the inkling then asked.

"No. It will be going for as long as it is needed."

"OK. That works."

"Now, super jump back to the spawn point. Then, the battle will begin."

Geneva followed her instructions, transforming into a squid and readying herself, soon flying through the air, back to the glowing green spawn point where she had first arrived. After she landed, she immediately started to fire her weapon, spreading green ink as far as the eye could see. From observing Eight's match with Iris yesterday, she learned that the indigo-haired octoling tended to play aggressively. Which made sense, based on the octoling soldiers she fought in the past. Iris's skills were more refined than those soldiers though, seeing as she also now had turf war experience under her belt. The fact that her skill now rivaled that of an elite octoling's was dangerous in itself.

But, it was nothing she couldn't handle. She was the esteemed Agent 3, after all. She can't fail, especially with Eight watching.

Soon, she reached the middle, taking the left path. Iris had to be arriving soon. She scanned both sides, trying to spot the octoling. Quickly, she noticed a blob fall from a ledge, onto the right side of the map. It reformed into Iris, and she swung her roller vertically, creating a path for her to swim through. With realization, Geneva turned back to the brick wall behind her, inking it and swimming up it, using the ink she had laid down previously to swim over to the other side. As she had predicted, the poufy-haired girl leaped up from the wall, transforming back into a kid and preparing her weapon. The inkling pulled out a burst bomb and threw it at Iris's chest, catching her off guard and causing her to lose her momentum, now falling to the ground. Though, she maintained a tight grip on her weapon, the octoling's knuckles turning white. She raised her weapon again, aiming for a vertical swing this time, but Geneva aimed her Hero Shot Replica at her, quickly splatting her. She spun her weapon in her hand, blowing at the barrel. Now that Iris was taken care of, she could resume her quest to get the zapfish doll and win.

She went down the right side, seeing it to be faster based on her current position. In the back of her mind, she knew Iris would show up and try to splat her, but she could not let her focus waver. She couldn't be scared. She was just an octoling. One from her rival team, but still an octoling nonetheless. She's fought plenty of them before; she shouldn't be scared.

Yet, she still had a sneaking suspicion that Iris had something up her sleeve. Her intuition told her to be wary. Only time will tell if she's right or not.

Climbing up the grated bridge, she spotted another zapfish doll, positioned in the same location it was on her side of the stage. However, just as she arrived, she saw Iris emerge from the spawn point, Krak-On Roller in hand again. Geneva turned her attention onto her, shooting at her. Iris still stood on the spawn point, causing any ink the inkling fired to disappear on contact with the barrier protecting her.

She lowered her weapon, instead staring at Iris. If she could get her to move, then perhaps she could splat her and use the opportunity to take the zapfish doll and win. The only question was, how? She had to formulate a plan.

She figured that Iris expected her to attack the barrier—that was the only explanation she had as to why she hadn't moved an inch. There was no time limit either, so she could stall as long as she wanted to. Maybe Iris would grow impatient if she stood there long enough? She could retreat, but then the octoling could easily chase after her and get splatted herself. She couldn't contact Eight, either—trying to do so could jeopardize the match. And then Iris would get upset.

On second thought, maybe provoking Iris was her key to winning.

Geneva walked past the doll, up the ramp, so that she now stood in front of the spawn point. She couldn't go any further thanks to the barrier, but it didn't matter. Only that she was in front of Iris.

"...What are you doing?" the octoling questioned, furrowing her brows as venom slipped into her voice. "You are supposed to be doing grabs of the zapfish doll."

"You're supposed to be doing the same thing," she countered. "Yet, you're just standing here."

"I am not just 'standing here.' I am wait for the perfect time."

"And when is 'the perfect time?'"

Iris blinked. "That will ruin my plan!"

"Your plan is to stall?"

"Oh..." She raised her roller and swung it at Geneva. "Shut up!"

The outburst was sudden enough that the green-haired inkling didn't have time to react. She splatted as soon as the roller hit the ground, sending a wave of ink hurtling towards her and splatting her. Some seconds later, she respawned, immediately running off the spawn point and down the bridge. Who knows how far Iris had progressed in that short time?

She reached the branching paths, looking down both nadirs to see where Iris might be. Indigo ink clearly covered the right side, but she couldn't see any traces of the octoling. Her eyes were drawn to the metal wall, where indigo ink crawled up and onto the bridge. With realization, she swam towards the bridge and then emerged, firing her weapon. Instead of hitting someone with her ink, the bridge merely got covered up in her ink instead. Iris didn't utter a single word! If she was there, then she must have an incredibly high pain tolerance.

...Iris wasn't here. So this was a distraction, she concluded. She walked over to the edge of the metal bridge, allowing her to look over at the other side. She spotted some ripples climbing up a wall, a figure emerging at the top of it. Iris slammed her roller down and started running down the bridge. In response, Geneva immediately dove back into her own ink, swimming as fast as she could over to the other side. She had to stop Iris, before she lost!

The inkling emerged a few feet in front of her, firing her weapon. Iris stumbled backwards, surprised, but she quickly regained her composure and lifted the Krak-On Roller, her hair glowing. She slammed it down, but Geneva dodged it, some ink brushing against her arm. She rubbed it, only to witness Iris activating her special weapon. With Baller, the octoling started rolling towards her, indigo ink trailing after her.

She could shoot at it, but sometimes, the better choice may be to just run away.

Geneva dove into the ink, swimming away. She didn't think the Baller was faster than her. She stopped at the cliff leading to the right side of the false Bluefin Depot and emerged, turning to face Iris. The Baller started to fill up with ink, signaling to her that it would explode soon. Smirking, Geneva saluted goodbye and jumped off the cliff, landing on the mat below.

"Seriously?!" Iris growled, standing on the edge of the cliff. "Dogfish is what you are!"

Geneva blinked. "Doesn't matter what I am," she said, brushing off the insult. "I'm just here to win."

Furious, the octoling seemed to lose any precision she had, her features etched with a certain darkness now. "That is enough!"

Before she could respond, Iris lunged from the cliff, barreling down towards Geneva and knocking her off her feet. She let out a cry of surprise, her Hero Shot Replica falling out of her hand, spinning a few feet away from her. Using her moment of weakness, Iris leaned down and pinned her with one of her hands and both of her knees, lips curled back in a snarl. Now, the octoling loomed over her, ink dripping off the wheel of her roller. The ink burned as it hit her skin, with the inkling biting her tongue to distract herself from the pain.

She should've known something was up from this whole thing. She shouldn't have let her guard down. If Eight wasn't quick enough, then it would be the end for her.

Iris laughed. "F-Finally! I have you, Agent 3."

Her code name was said with so much venom, it felt like a charged shot had pierced straight through her heart. Just how could someone hate her that much? Even DJ Octavio hated her less!

"...Why?" she asked, frowning. "What did I ever do to you?"

"You do not know?" she challenged, her voice coming in quips. "You seriously do not know? How?! Do inklings only care about themselves? Do they not notice destruction caused by they?"

"I know you hate me," Geneva then interjected as soon as she had the chance, "so whatever you want to say, say it."

"...That is the response?" she perplexed. Then, even faster, she continued her rant. "You are despicable, are you knowing? You give ruin to me! It is because of you that DJ Octavio tried to splat me!"

"DJ Octavio tried to splat you because of me?" Now she was confused. "I don't see why he would do that."

"You are not growing up with Octarians. You are not knowing him like Octarians do. The only interaction you have is fighting him. Your experience is nothing comparing to me."

"...Really, though. What did I do?"

"You are not lying about not knowing, then. Fine, I will tell you." Iris lowered herself, to the point where she could feel her breath. "You splatted my fellow soldiers. You splatted my friends. I failed to protect them..." Tears forming in her indigo eyes, she raised her roller and slammed it down on Geneva. "I failed to splat you!"

The green-haired inkling did not splat, instead feeling the weight of the roller crush down on her chest. She wheezed, finding it harder to breath. She freed her imprisoned hand and grabbed the wheel, adrenaline surging through her as she pushed it off of her. She didn't care how much it hurt to grab a roller slick with enemy ink—she just had to live.

The force of the push caught Iris off-guard, allowing for her legs to get free and push the octoling off of her. She stumbled backwards, and Geneva slowly got up, indigo ink covering almost every inch of her body as she took a moment to catch her breath.

"Why..." Iris breathed, eyes wide. "Why will you not die?"

"I'm part...of the New Squidbeak Splatoon," she replied. "I'm not...going down that easily."

After she finished, she saw the Krak-On Splat Roller fly out of the octoling's hand, causing her to let out a cry of pain. Geneva turned her head to look at the arm she had held it in—green ink dripped off the back of her shoulder. She looked up to see that Eight had arrived, holding her E-liter 4K.

Iris turned around to see the curly-haired girl. "Of course you did not come alone," she grumbled. She glared back at the inkling. "And it been having to be your girlfriend."

"Like I said... I'm not going down...that easily."

Eight looked up and gasped, charging her charger up again. She didn't charge it up all the way though, but however much she charged it, it was just enough. She fired, and someone—a masculine voice—screamed, soon landing on the ground with a thud. Geneva looked over her voice to see Brayden lying on the ground, a Splat Charger resting a few feet away from him.

She smirked and looked back at Iris. "You didn't come alone, either. So we both lied."

"Enough of that!" Iris started to run over to the octoling boy and knelt down next to him. "Brayden! Are you alright?" she then asked in Octarian—Geneva had learned some of the language over the years.

"I'm fine." The tan-skinned boy sat up. "Eight wouldn't splat me."

Eight jumped down to join the three others. "Is the battle being over now?"

Iris sighed and nodded her head. "...Yes," she replied in Inkling. "It was going to be ended with the fall of Agent 3. Yet... It did not. Oddly enough, I am not mad. I am just..." Her voice trailed off, a tear falling from her eye. "...Sad."

"You didn't want to kill me," Geneva deduced. Some of the ink had disappeared from her, but not all. "That's why."

The poufy-haired girl started to cry some more. "I was thinking...that killing you would fulfill my quest for vengeance. Then, everything would be normal again." She wiped her eyes. "But... But... I don't know..."

"Iris, please." The curly-haired octoling stepped up, her voice both sweet and assertive. "You are obsessed with revenge. Why can you just not forgive her?" Iris opened her mouth to respond, but Eight kept talking. "If you had not fail, then you would not be sent to Octavio. You would not be there to witness the Calamari Inkantation. You would not be free." She took a few more steps forward, reaching out a hand. "Should you not thank Three? You are liking the surface more then the domes, correct? Let the revenge go. There is no need to pursue it."

She stared at Eight's hand for a few moments before taking it. "The inklings may be not be good..." She gave a half-hearted laugh. "But at least they are better than Octarian society."

Geneva approached them and held out her hand as well. "You won't try anything again?"

Iris released her hand from Eight's and grabbed Geneva's. "I promise." They shook hands before the poufy-haired octoling released it, stuffing her hands into the pockets of her shorts. "I can never forgive you for what you did to me three years ago. I learn something today, though."

She raised an eyebrow. "Which is...?"

"Sometimes, vengeance is not worth doing. What happens in the past, it stays in the past."

"Y-You are coming to that conclusion?" Brayden interjected. "That is...a very sudden change from five minutes ago!"

"Agent 3... No, Geneva, is correct." Just hearing Iris use her actual name made her smile. "I did not want to kill her. The time I spend in Inkopolis has been making me experiences new things. Like the talent show. Everyone had love my song. Then, the singing and dancing contest from three days prior. I win that contest. Yes, I may not like inklings, but they like me." Sniffling, she smiled. "I am happy with their happiness. So, that is my new goal. Not vengeance, but to make people happy."

"I see..." The tan-skinned inkling smiled. "Well, if you are happy, then I am happy." He walked up to her and planted a kiss on her cheek. "Let us go."

Eight tapped her hand against Geneva's, and the two proceeded to intertwine their hands together. "Yes, let us go," the curly-haired octoling agreed.

The four of them super-jumped out of the dome, back into the light of Octo Valley, ready to start anew. Finally, they could put any animosity they had behind them and work towards a brighter future, together.

A/N: Bam! One hundred chapters! Thank you all for reading this far! This is technically chapter 95 if you don't count the bonus stories, but since they're included in this story, it counts! Hope you like the change in point of view here! Now, what about Alexis? Will she continue to have point of view chapters? Of course! She's just as important as everyone else. However, her chapters will alternate with Geneva's. Therefore, for seasons 4, 5, and 6 of the Rainbow Squids, we will have two Alexis chapters, and two Geneva chapters each. Sound fair? I have considered other ways to handle it, but it goes into spoiler territory a little bit to explain now. As for next week, it's get a little iffy. I might not be available the whole day next Sunday. The plans heavily depend on everyone's schedules and the weather, so Saturday or Sunday are the only feasible options. It was also considered that we went today - something I learned the night of last Sunday - but I hurt my ankle recently, so that was out. It's mostly fine now, but I don't want to take any chances today. Walking around does cause it to act up a little bit. So, if I don't post on Sunday, it will be on Monday! With that out of the way, see you next week, and Branchwing, out!
