Chapter 52: Monday Night RAW Debut
The day had finally arrived: Drew and Michelle were finally going to making their first appearance on Monday Night RAW.
For Drew, it was a long-awaited return to the main roster.
Michelle was at her apartment as she was packing her suitcase anticipating this day since she received the news that she was drafted to the main roster.
As Michelle was packing the last of her toiletries, there was a knock at the door. Michelle ran out of her bedroom as she went to the door and opened it to reveal Drew.
"Hey, babe," Michelle said.
"Hey," Drew said as he entered Michelle's apartment. "Are you ready?"
"Yeah, I'm…having butterflies at this moment," Michelle said. "This is the day I have been looking forward to for a long time. This is it. Are you ready?"
"I've been ready since I came back to the WWE. Like you, I've been anticipating this moment for the last four years. This is the beginning of fulfilling my destiny."
"I couldn't be any prouder of you than I am right now." Then Michelle walked over to Drew as she held his hand. "I believe you are finally gonna become WWE Champion."
Then Drew kissed Michelle's hand with a smile and Michelle smiled back.
"Let's get the show on the road," Drew said.
Then Drew grabbed Michelle's suitcases as Michelle grabbed her purse; and she kissed her cat Sadie goodbye as she and Drew left her apartment.
After taking the flight from Tampa, Florida to Hartford, Connecticut where RAW was, Drew and Michelle got into their rental car as they made the drive to XL Center.
Drew and Michelle got out of their car in the parking lot as Drew grabbed their luggage from the trunk. The two made it through security check as they walked inside the back of the arena. Michelle was feeling anxious as Drew noticed.
"Are you okay?" Drew asked.
"Yeah, just nervous, that's all," Michelle answered.
"Don't worry, you'll be great."
Drew and Michelle continued walking backstage when Michelle heard a familiar voice.
"Michelle?" Autumn said.
"Autumn!" Michelle beamed.
Then the two women hugged each other.
"Oh, my God, what are you doing here?" Autumn asked.
"Well, I guess you'll be the next person to hear the news," Michelle confirmed. "Drew and I got drafted to Monday Night RAW."
"No way!"
"It's true!"
"Oh, my god, I can't believe this! Well, I think it's safe to say that Chad and I got drafted to Monday Night RAW as well."
"Oh, my God, I'm so happy right now!"
"Well, that means we'll hang out more and you can finally help me with my wedding."
"Yes, definitely need to do that, pronto."
"Oh, sorry, Drew. I forgot you were there."
"That's alright," Drew assured Autumn. "I know you are pretty happy to see Michelle here."
"Of course, I am! And I know you're happy to be part of the main roster again."
"You know it; it's time to finish what I've started."
"So do you have any idea what you two are doing now that you're on RAW."
"Nope," Michelle said. "We just got here."
"Well, whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be cool."
"Definitely."
"Well, I'll let you guys go and we'll talk later."
"Okay."
Then Michelle and Autumn hugged each other as they along with Drew went their separate ways. Drew and Michelle continued walking until Drew heard a familiar voice.
"What's up, Drew?" Bobby Lashley said as he walked with his wife Delancey Scott.
"Bobby!" Drew said as the two men hugged each other.
"It's good to see you again."
"I saw you came back last week."
"Well, like you, I decided to come back for a WWE for a second chance at the WWE Championship. I saw you returned at NXT but I decided to go on a different route."
"Can't blame you. Delancey, it's good to see you again."
"You too, Drew," Delancey said as she hugged Drew.
"How's the family doing?"
"Dylan is getting taller and becoming more like his dad; but he is doing great with sports and everything. I'm really proud of him."
"Well, I suppose I should introduce my girlfriend; this is Michelle Edmondson. This here is Bobby Lashley and his wife Delancey Scott."
"It's nice to finally meet you," Michelle said.
"You too," Delancey said.
"Bobby, Drew and I were surprised you came back. I remember watching your matches against Drew in TNA and you both kicked ass."
"Well, Drew is tough but we both know who is really tough," Bobby bragged.
"Eh, don't flatter yourself," Drew mocked Bobby.
"Sorry but it's true," Delancey teased Drew. "I was there when you both were in TNA."
"Yeah, you helped Bobby get the best of me."
"I don't apologize for it. Well, we better let you go; maybe we can meet later and talk some more, Michelle."
"I'd love to," Michelle agreed.
"Great, well talk later," Drew said.
"Alright, see you in a bit," Bobby said.
Then Drew and Bobby hugged each other as the four went their separate ways.
"I think Delancey and I will become great friends," Michelle grinned.
Drew smiled as he kissed Michelle on top of her head as they reached the women's locker room.
"Well, this is it," Michelle said. "I'll meet you in catering?"
"I'll be there," Drew said as he smiled.
Then Drew and Michelle kissed each other as Drew walked away. Michelle took a deep breath as she went inside the women's locker room.
Later, RAW was on and the arena went to black as Dolph Ziggler came out from the curtain as the newest member of Monday Night RAW as his entrance theme played. Dolph walked down the ramp and got into the ring with a microphone in his hand.
"Well, ol' DZ is back on Monday Night RAW," Dolph said. "Oh, so sad, so sad. you know a lot of things are the same around here, a lot of things changed. I still steal the show everywhere I go; I sure as hell still the best superstar to ever walk that aisle! But one thing has changed and you know that one…"
Then Titus O'Neil's entrance theme played as he came out with Apollo Crews and Dana Brooke following him.
"Dolph, let us be the first to welcome you back to Monday Night RAW," Titus said onto the microphone. "And you know a lot of things have changed." Then Titus, Dana and Apollo got into the ring. "Things that would include me creating Titus Worldwide! Now if you're looking to maximize your return, look no further than our team." Then Titus handed Dolph a business card. "I mean, think about it, Dolph: with your talents and my connections, we could take it to the next level. I'm talking about inside and outside of the ring. You, your wrestling, your comedy, you are what we like to call a multiplatform superstar."
"That makes sense," Dolph agreed, "that checks out, yeah."
"And if you join our team, well, we can go out and conquer the world."
"Yeah, that's fantastic. I really thank you for that offer, it was so nice of you to so loudly interrupt me before I was talking. And what I was going to say was that one thing had changed and that's that I didn't come back to RAW alone."
Then Dolph tossed the business card in Titus' face as Drew attacked Titus from behind and head-butted Apollo in the face. Then Drew looked at Dolph with a smile as the two sent Titus into the ring post and Drew got on Titus on the middle turnbuckle and Dolph superkicked Titus. Drew then was unloading on Apollo before Dolph got Apollo to his feet and then the two hit a double-team Zig-Zag/Claymore.
Then Michelle came out from the crowd and attacked Dana from behind before stomping on her and Michelle tossed Dana back in the ring. Then she grabbed her before she landed the Crimson Veil and Michelle posed as she looked at Drew and Dolph.
Then the three left the ring as they walked up the ramp with smiles on their faces as they walked to the back.
Then Drew, Michelle and Dolph came out from the Gorilla Position as they were giving each other high fives
"Oh, my goodness, that felt so good," Michelle simpered. "Did you hear the crowd out there? They loved it!"
"Oh, yeah, this is just the beginning," Drew said.
"This is the beginning, indeed," Dolph agreed. "We are gonna have so much fun."
"Uh-huh, thanks for considering Drew and I to join you," Michelle thanked Dolph.
"You're welcome. You did one hell of an attack out there."
"Well, I'm gonna show the women's division why I'm the NXT Women's Champion and that I'm not the one to mess with. And the men's roster should watch out for Drew."
"Hey, this is one Scottish Psychopath nobody will touch. I'll catch you guys later."
Then Dolph walked away.
"Scottish Psychopath, huh?" Michelle questioned. "Well then, that's a new one for you instead of the Chosen One."
"I like it," Drew boasted. "I think the Scottish Psychopath suits me very well."
"After what you did out there, the guys on the roster should be scared of you."
Then Drew lifted Michelle in his arms as the two kissed each passionately after making a big impact on their Monday Night RAW debut.
After RAW was over, Drew and Michelle joined Chad and Autumn at a restaurant as the hostess led them to their table and were given their menus.
"So that was an interesting spot you did with Dolph Ziggler and Titus Worldwide," Chad noted.
"That was interesting, wasn't it?" Drew said.
"It was very interesting," Autumn agreed. "I was talking to Michelle about that and I told Chad, 'Whoa, would it be interesting that Michelle and I faced each other in a match?'"
"And I said as long as you girls don't kill each other," Chad cautioned.
"Oh, I wouldn't want to do that before your wedding," Michelle quipped.
Then the waitress came by with their waters and everyone had ordered their drinks as they needed time to pick what they wanted for dinner.
"Speaking of, you know we're having it in Providence, Rhode Island, right?" Autumn said. "It's such a shame that you and Drew didn't come to Smackdown that way we could've been together in our hometown."
"I know, that would've been amazing," Michelle said as she smiled. You know, Drew and I talked about Providence and I was wondering if some of our old elementary school friends are still there."
"Oh, some of them are still there and I actually invited three of them to the wedding. You remember Jayne, Eleanor and Ava?"
"Oh, yeah, we used to sit with them at lunchtime and they were in three separate classes."
"Well, Ava and Jayne got their own boutique and Eleanor is an attorney."
"Eleanor is an attorney? My mom and her mom were friends and had always discussed different cases with each other."
"Eleanor's mom is now a senior partner and Eleanor is working under her."
"Well then, it's a shame we don't live in Providence and have her to call if something goes wrong."
"You live in Providence all your life, Autumn?" Drew asked.
"Well, I did live in Boston when I was a New England Patriots cheerleader before I got signed to NXT and moved to Florida," Autumn replied.
"And now you're living in Minnesota with Chad," Michelle said.
"And I'm happy about it."
"And we're actually happy you guys are on Monday Night RAW with us," Chad said.
"I can say the same thing for you two," Michelle agreed.
"Well then, here's to friendships and new beginnings," Drew said.
Then the four clinked their glasses together.
