ONE TRUE MAGIC
"Do you know what is the One True Magic?"
"Is there such a thing?"
"One True magic, also known by the term Primordial Magic... It is the most sought-after type of magic that not anyone can obtain."
"Will I be able to have it, Mama?"
"Yes, as long as you stay true to yourself. After all, It's love…"
CHAPTER 2: Team Natsu
NATSU
Feeling determined to find answers, I woke up early. Getting off the bed, I stretched my limbs to ease my sore muscles. Ruffling my hair slightly, I frowned when I noticed that I'm not wearing my scarf.
I glanced around the plain white colored room and felt relieved when I noticed it folded on the chair Erza had sat on yesterday. I put the cloth around my neck and sighed because of the comfort it gave me.
Hearing some noises outside the room, I figured that majority of the guild is outside. I was about to go outside to start my search for answers when I suddenly remember someone yelling at me to always fix my bed. Chuckling softly, I fixed the bed that I used while reminiscing a memory.
"Natsu!" I heard Lucy yelled as I ate the breakfast she made, in her kitchen.
"Whadft?" I managed to reply despite the mouthful of food in my mouth. I sensed Lucy coming to her kitchen and spared her a glance when she reached the doorway.
"You have to learn how to fix your bed after waking up!" She exclaimed. I gulped the food in my mouth with water and turned towards her direction.
"You mean YOUR bed?" I replied and I swear I could almost see a tick mark appeared on her forehead.
"Same thing whether if it's my bed or yours! My point is, learn to fix it! It isn't even that hard!"
"It's not hard, you're right…" I said slowly getting up. I slowly walked towards her window with her curious yet serious eyes still locked on mine. I grinned at her when I finally reached my goal.
"It's not hard, I'm just lazy to do it! See you at the guild Luce!" I exclaimed jumping down her window. I heard her scream in surprise and saw her hovering her window. Gone was the worried face she wore. "NATSU! Atleast wash the dishes after eating!" Crap! Got to go unless I want to be targeted by her hardbound books when she throws them in my direction!
I chuckled at the memory. I have so many memorable moments with her…
I stared at opened window of the room to see how bright the sun's rays is today. I grinned as its radiance reminds me of someone. No more moping around! I'm going to find you Luce, I promise.
I sighed and gripped the door's handle. Yosh! I'm all fired up!
I decided to question Happy, Erza, Popsicles and Wendy to know what happened to me '2 years ago' from their perspective since I'm still not convinced that I really just slept for THAT long.
I know its unlike me to do this but this is not the same as any mission that I took before where I would just use brute strength and rushed ahead without any second thoughts.
Lucy's entire existence is being questioned here.
I need to learn what happened first before making a move.
"What happened two years ago?" I questioned them.
"You seriously don't remember? No wonder you are making up some random shi-"Ice Princess stopped when he noticed Erza's sharp glare towards him. I clenched my fist to help myself calm down. I would probably punch him if he did finished what he was about to say.
"So you don't remember what happened?" She asked that I answered her with a nod. She sighed and I stayed still knowing that she'll start explaining.
"Remember the time where Mira, Elfman and Lisanna took that S-Class mission? You went to the guild that time and complained to Master about not being allowed to go to a S-Class type mission alone despite being in par with almost all of the strong mages in the guild. You whined about it before Master stopped you with his magic by plummeting you to the floor. I remember how you looked determined that day but knowing he wasn't being persuaded, you walked to the request board and ripped some random mission. I saw you showing it to Master, grumbling on about letting off some steam then ran off with Happy…"She said before turning to Happy who was quiet. He noticed Erza looking at him to continue before nodding in understanding.
"After walking off the guild, you showed me what the mission is about. The mission is about destroying a certain flower in a village called Drasil which was guarded by stone monsters. That flower was dangerous as it was spreading illness to the village but the people couldn't do anything about it since they're no match for the monsters who guards it. You were able to beat those monsters but it seems that you forgot that the flower is dangerous and would be able to cast a spell on anyone who smells or even catch a whiff of it. I told you about it beforehand after reading the mission! I even brought us masks but you just grab on to it and it was just so fast! I-I was *sniff* scared when I s-saw you suddenly collapsed. W-when I checked the mask, i-it was littered with cuts and holes probably from your fight with the monsters! I-It was so scary Natzu!" He sniffed while wiping his tears with his paws.
"I managed to destroy the flower by smashing it with a nearby stone so that no one will be affected anymore… I c-carried you all the way to the guild after getting our reward money. Erza and Gray saw us and helped me carry you here…"He finishes. I felt guilty for not remembering and not believing their stories. Sure, I remembered being annoyed for not being able to take S-class missions but I blew off some steam by fighting with droopy eyes and eating. I was prohibited from taking any missions as punishment for the damage my last mission caused which once again alerted the council making them send paper works for Gramps. As a result, it frustrated me to see someone taking one. I remembered it clearly so I don't understand why his memory is different from mine.
"Levy and Freed said that it's a spell that is capable of making someone fall into a coma-like condition for about 3 years. Levy said that it was even a miracle to wake up a year earlier." Ice Princess added.
Silence fell onto us when a timid voice broke it.
"Uhm…I'm glad to know that you're alright, Natsu-san but what am I doing here? This just seem personal and this is the first time I've ever talked to you…"Wendy stated casting a glance at me before lowering the hand she lightly raised earlier.
"Yeah, I agree with her…Not that I'm against the idea of her being here but I'm just curious why? You never even met Wendy, Natsu..." Erza said.
I composed myself before I exploded. The hell? First Lucy now Wendy?!
"You are Wendy Marvel, a sky dragon slayer. You are capable of healing magic and you're partnered with an exceed named Carla. You met us as a representative of Cait Shelter in the formed alliance between Blue Pegasus, Lamia Scale and Fairy Tail to stop a dark guild called Oracion Seis from obtaining a mysterious magic called 'Nirvana'. You were once a member of Cait Shelter but after discovering the truth behind your guild, you came back with us and joined Fairy Tail…" I turned to look at her and saw her shocked expression.
"D-did someone told you about me?" She asked quietly. I shook my head as a 'no' and answered. "I was one of the members Fairy Tail had chosen to represent the guild, alongside the members of Team Natsu…"
"And who are the members of this 'Team Natsu'?" Stripper interjected.
"You, Erza, Happy, me and Lucy…" I replied, lowering my head slightly as a headache starts to form. Thinking and becoming a worrywart isn't really on my department. Damn, my head hurts. This was Lucy's thing!
"WHAT? A TEAM? WITH YOU?! Okay, this is enough...You just probably heard some things about Wendy somewhere to know those things. Psh! You have to go back to rest, idiot. You're being delusional!" Snowflake exclaimed. I glared at him and stood up from my position.
"YOU WANNA GO ICE STRIPPER?!"
"WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME?!"
"Are you deaf?!"
"I HEARD YOU THE FIRST TIME! Damn it! I don't want to fistfight and win against a delusional idiot as my opponent! Just go and rest!"
"I'M NOT DELUSIONAL! I'M TELLING THE TRUTH! I'M NOT LYING! Why don't you all take me seriously?" I slowly sat back at the chair. Why can't they just believe me? Do I normally take pranks to this extent for them to think that I'm just joking and none of the things that I said was real? I have principles and I know that I'm not a liar. I hate lying since I was a kid and being accused of telling those made me more upset than I already is. Do I come across as a liar to them?
I slumped on the chair. I felt disappointed that they would even imply me doing those things. I commonly wouldn't mind others opinion about myself but coming from my friends?
I just wanna go back to that time where everything's okay; everyone with their correct memories and Lucy, right by our side...My side.
"Natzu…"I heard Happy said before flying to my arms. I pat his back when I noticed it shaking.
"You're my best friend Natsu and I trust you…"He said which I appreciated.
I grinned at him. It seems like without memory or not, he's still and will always be the one who will always stay by my side...
I noticed Erza walked near me. She placed a hand on my shoulder. "I trust you…Gray is just probably confused of what is going on, we all are…" I saw Popsicles flinched slightly.
"I still don't understand what is happening and even though this is the first time I met you, I already trust you Natsu-san!I will gladly help you find the answers you're looking for!" Wendy exclaimed which caused me to grin.
I saw them staring at Stripper who let out a small scowl before shrugging. "Fine, I'll help!"
I breath a sigh of relief at their acceptance despite all the confusion.
Now Team Natsu is almost complete! You're the only one missing Luce…
