ONE TRUE MAGIC

"Do you know what is the One True Magic?"

"Is there such a thing?"

"One True magic, also known by the term Primordial Magic... It is the most sought-after type of magic that not anyone can obtain."

"Will I be able to have it, Mama?"

"Yes, as long as you stay true to yourself. After all, It's love…"

A/N:

Hey guys! Belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Sorry for the late late update! Though I need to tell you guys something...So here's the thing, I also decided to cut this chapter because it's already sooo long, like it has around 13,000 words and I felt that more that that is too much for one chapter. So yeah, you can consider this as part two while chapter 9 as its part 2, unofficially.

Sorry for the late update! Really! I don't have of an excuse besides being distracted...but seriously, I have a plan for this story. I'm just not good at managing my time. You know that feeling when you want to maximize the things you want to do within a short time frame? That's what I'm feeling right now that opening of classes is fast approaching! I'm seriously not ready for another semester :(

Anyway, thank you for your reviews last chapter! My response about them will be at the end of this and I've decide that from here on, I will acknowledge your reviews at the end of every update.

As for this chapter, I tried to include as much as information that I can! That's all, enjoy!

CHAPTER 8: A Glimpse of Truth

THIRD PERSON'S POV

(Same time with the end of Chapter 5 and 6)

A cloaked figure, dressed in a black robe that mostly covered his whole body, stood in the middle of the eerie dimly lit room. A single throne on a slightly uplifted platform can be seen upon entering the room through a large mahogany double door. The room is elegantly designed with numerous scriptures and images but bare of any furniture or materials aside from the throne and the orb placed on an irregularly shaped rock. This rock, however, despite being unique and disproportionate at first glance, has its fair share of mystery and elegance revolving around it. Seemingly vine-like ropes run down it's length, though weirdly enough, these vines were golden in color.

The orb, which is found at the top of the rock formation, is surrounded by 12 dents on the surface where it was placed. These dents were all identical with each other, each possessing golden points connected by golden lines, forming 12 different sets of patterns. Aside from this, the most noticeable is the orb. The orb is transparent, though golden dust kept twirling inside of it like the reaction one could get from shaking a snow globe. The weird thing is, they don't settle down at the bottom and just kept revolving around a bulb of flower floating in the middle of the orb. The flower has golden petals, with white vines accompanying it. Since it still hasn't bloom yet, its a mystery what it could have on its center.

The man brushed his finger on the surface of the orb, his touch possessing gentleness one wouldn't think he's capable of because of who he is.

"I'll soon have the fallen star on my grasps... I just have to extinguish its light and the cause of its brightness..." He stated, a wicked smirk covering his whole face. Still having that evil glint on his eyes, he suddenly shook his head. "Oh no, I shouldn't get so excited to crush the pieces, especially..."He trailed off walking towards an image on the far right side wall of the room. The image is of a dragon bellowing his fire breath towards the sky, its red-scaled tail wrapped around a woman.

The man put his palm on the image, cackling loudly when he saw the dent he created on it by applying pressure.

His musing was cut off by the sudden sound of the door opening.

Three people entered the room, all bowed when they saw the man looking at them.

One of the twins, Farris, is the first to break the silence.

"Master, I heard that you requested mine and my brother's presence?" She lowered her gaze, patiently waiting for the man's response. Her composed stature is different from the anxious form of her brother, who is currently hiding behind her back, using the body of her sister to shield him from the cloaked man. He maintained standing, wrapping himself with the vines from his hand.

"Yes, and I take it that you didn't take your eyes off those fairies?"

"Of course, we didn't…We have been observing the fairies for two weeks now and so far, we got nothing to worry about. They are still under Gaian's spell…" The woman answered confidently, her hands behind her back began to move which was seen by her brother.

Gaian gulped, quickly understanding his sister's sign to speak. "Y-yes…The link of the spell is still strong…"

"Is that so?" The man started, staring at the siblings.

"Ye—Urgh!"

"Farris!" Gaian's raven locks were ruffled at his sudden response of wrapping his sister with his vines to prevent her impact on the wall.

"M-master? Wha—"

"Don't you dare tell me that we have nothing to worry about! I felt something was causing the spell to weaken!" The twins were shocked but Farris is the one who break the silence enveloping the room. She stood up with help of her brother before stepping away and standing up straight as if nothing happened.

She nodded in understanding before calmly replying after a few seconds of considering what happened, "It seems like the fairies were able to cast something around their premises that prevented us to notice anything suspicious…And since this place is of a great distance from that place, you are not affected by it Master…I take it that since we teleported here with Khora's help when we met in Magnolia, the effects of the spell is still affecting Gaian's link to the spell disabling him to notice anything strange about their connection..." Her brother looked at her as if he can't believe how her sister is acting. Despite his better judgement, he took a step closer to her sister and defend her but stopped when Farris closed her hand on her back, as if telling him to stop. Feeling a bit stubborn, he let his vines run up his arms, wanting to do something…Well, anything! But a sharp look from her older sister prevented him, just a glance that told him how she understands how he feels but he better shut himself up or they'll be both damned!

Despite Farris response, this only seems to make the man fume. "Well now, better do something about it! Find out if they already know something! Force something out of them or kidnap one of them, I don't care! Do your fucking job!"

"Understood, we'll be on our way then…" She responded before walking towards the door after urging Gaian to follow after her with a tilt of her head.

Khora, who was silent this entire time, stood still as she wait for the man to acknowledge her.

"Khora…" She stiffened at the decreasing distance between them and on the tone he used when he said her name.

His tone was emotionless but still held that authority that is still capable of causing someone to be swayed on following his orders.

"I expect good news from you…" He continued, stopping a few steps in front of her.

She took a shaky breath before steeling herself to emit confidence. I shouldn't show him that I'm afraid…

"There were sightings of a duo, a blonde and a guy with a mane-like hair that travelled all over to Hargeon and Acalypha. They were remembered by the people around them because of the streak of protectiveness the guy is displaying that led to a fight out in the open, with spectators. I still haven't confirmed that this woman is the one we're looking for but she doesn't seem like to wield Celestial Magic or any other magic, based from the inn they stayed at near the port of Hargeon. Though from what I heard, the guy seems to use some light-based attacks, accompanied by his amazing physical strength. It also seems like they were looking for specific spots in the two cities, since they didn't mention why is that, I have no idea…" She finishes before quickly continuing, as if realizing that none of her reports have specific and definite proofs backing them up. They were just mere speculations from the people and she knows how much a story changes when passed from one to another.

"But…From the direction they're taking in based from the people who've seen them, it seems like they were headed for the city of Magnolia…"

"Well then, since the twins were both stationed there to observe those fairies, I suppose its a good idea that you'll be assigned there as well…I'll have the three of you keep an eye on the fairies and to her separately…" Khora stayed silent, still keeping her eyes on the ground.

The cloaked man retreated slightly from his position and took a step back. His charcoal-colored eyes studied the woman in front of him. "You may go now…" He added as he watch the woman bowed and pay her respects before uttering a soft, "Yes, Thank you Master. I shall be going now…"

She turned and was about to walk away but she stood still when she heard him say, "I expect great things from you…" His words had so much impact to her but what made her stumble on her place is when he continued and called her something she wished he would call her many, many years ago but not now, when he's the reason why she is doing these things that she doesn't even want to. "…my daughter"

LUCY

(The night Natsu stayed over at her place)

"Hime, is this okay? Does it hurt?" Blue eyes that depict worry stared at me, very different from her usual emotionless ones.

"I'm alright Virgo…I-it just stings a little bit." I responded before suddenly coughing at the sudden pressure I managed to put on my torso.

Her once white gloved hands were stained with blood as she continued to stop the flow of blood from the wound in my thighs. She quickly tears a piece of cloth out of her maid outfit, since she already used all of her bandages on the wounds on my right arm and left side, after dabbing some anti- bacterial medicine from the first aid kit she summoned from the Celestial Spirit World.

Despite the sting, I looked around me. The trees loomed over us as if they were some kind of predator and we're it's prey. The spatial magic user that we we've caught lay unconscious in front of us. She can give us valuable information of where we can find Natsu and the others.

'I can't lay in here and do nothing! Every second counts so move self!' I exclaimed internally before I sat up, despite Virgo's disapproval.

I took a deep breath before trying to get on my feet only to stumble and fall down, causing me to let out a groan, both out of frustration and pain.

I moved to try again only to be stopped by a pair of hands holding my shoulders.

"Lucy, stop!" Despite his surprising tone and exclamation, I just gave Loke a small shaky smile. His eyeglasses had some cracks on it allowing me to see his eyes clearly. He looked at me with eyes a mixture of annoyance, worry, courage and trust.

"I-Its okay Loke, you know I have to do this…It's my fault they were in this situation in the first place…" I whispered to him, now staying seated as Virgo once again checked my bandages. I know that I'm not making everything alright by saying that but I don't want to lie and say I'm fine when clearly, I'm not.

"No! It's not your fault! I understand that you want to save them but…" His voice softens as if he's pleading at me and I could only give him a nod in understanding. 'I understand where he's coming from but I can't afford to stop until I can find and save them…' I thought before waiting for him to continue.

I quickly looked away when I saw something fell down his cheeks as he looked at me.

He wiped it before continuing, "Princess, we understand your want to save them, even I want to because they're also my friends! But not this way…" He looked at my state before smiling sadly. "You're treating this as if the burden is all on you but we're here as well. Let us share that burden with you… Please, just lean on us." I continued to looked away, not wanting to see him crying even if his pleading voice had the same impact on me.

"I'm sorry…" I said, now looking at the both of them.

Loke shook his head before replying, "You don't have anything to apologize for, Princess. We're here because it's what we wanted and we're ready to be with you every step of the way!" He finished, now giving me his usual cocky smile.

"Nii-chan is right Hime, we're all here to help…Natsu-san and the others wouldn't want you to think this way." I heard Virgo added and I could close my eyes at the mention of my teammates.

Wendy and Charle…

Gray…

Erza…

Happy…

'I-I want to go back. Please let me go back! Back to the time everything's alright. With the guild, spending our everyday full of laughs and adventures… I don't want to be here anymore! Not here!' I let out a whimper-like sound, becoming more desperate because of my thoughts. 'Minna...' I clench my fists as I felt myself tear up. I could hear Virgo and Loke comforting me but I just continued to close my eyes because I felt that once I opened them, I would have a breakdown. '

'I don't want to feel this dread anymore…The weight inside which only adds up by the second.' The feeling of being occupied by my thoughts is so frustrating and a pure torture, negative thoughts overpowering the positive ones as I continued to overthink.

'I want to see them.'

'I want to be with them.'

I felt so cold…The fact that I know that this happened because of me weighs deep down. I don't want to be selfish and still be a burden to Loke and the others.

I want to feel his warmth and reassure myself that everything's going to be fine. Other than the guild, my parents, my Celestial Spirit friends, he was my anchor.

To hell with those Prince and knights! Because he is a dragon.

His fanged grin, spiky salmon hair, his voice…

I really wish you were here now…

'Natsu…' Suddenly it was dark, as if somebody turned off the lights. I can feel my eyes open but I still can't see anything. The only thing I'm aware of is the steady surface I'm standing on.

"Hello?! Anybody here?!" I yelled to the darkness but received no response.

"Happy!"

"Natsu!" Still no response.

Feeling the need to do something, I took a step in front of me, followed by another until it turned into a run.

As I ran, I saw a glimpse of light, just like a small white point in the midst of a large black canvas. So I ran. I ran towards it, the only thought on my mind is maybe, I can find some clue there regarding where am I and what is happening.

A small smile made its way onto my face when I saw a different scenery other than the dark void I ran away from earlier. I breath out a sigh of relief at what I saw.

My eyes roamed the place. It was large, that I can say but it was mostly covered in darkness save for the light of the moon that passed through a small opening in the ceiling, covered in glass. The place is eerily quiet but I can't deny the fact that its emitting mystery and elegance. But regardless of all that, the only thing that really caught my attention is the irregularly shaped rock in middle of the room. It was golden in color and somehow, I was fascinated by the orb—no, the thing inside of it. It almost seem magical (which I'm sure of since I'm living in a world of magic) and so, so enchanting. It's like calling onto me causing me to take a step forward but then I freezed.

Suddenly, heavy footsteps are heard all around the room. My gaze travelled my surroundings until it reached a figure sitting on the throne I didn't notice. The figure was turned towards me and a shiver ran up my spine at the thought of her/him staring at me.

I let out a shaky breath before taking a step back.

"Well, well…what do we have here?" At the sudden voice, I focused my attention to the person. He was a man, based from his voice, his tone mocking me.

"I'm here…" I heard a voice suddenly said in my head and suddenly I felt calm.

I'm afraid, I admit it but somehow, there's something inside me that want to challenge him. I can feel confidence, courage, anger and hope all mixed inside of me.

I didn't answer him, I felt that I didn't have to as my body unconsciously formed a fighting stance. I looked down at my body in wonder but I didn't have time to mused on it when I heard him move.

He talked, voice booming all over the place as he neared me.

"Who would've thought you're capable of doing this?" He laughed. "You impressed me, little star. Makes me want to torture you even more!"

"Who are you?!" I asked causing him to stop and tilt his head.

"You don't remember me, how amusing…" He shook his head. "After only two weeks? I get that we only met once but you know, you're quite lucky aren't you?" He stopped before talking again, anger evident in his voice. "Seems like you had the blessings of the stars!" He sneered and I can only looked at him in shock when he seems to teleport near me.

"I'm going to find wherever you are, the efforts of the slaves of the stars will all be fruitless!"

"Stay back!"

"Lucy Heartfilia…" He stated before turning to face another direction. "Glad you responded to my call Yukino Aguria…"

I tuned to the direction he acknowledged and saw another girl. She had short bluish-white hair. 'Yukino' stared back at me, fear and confusion on her expression. She looked at me as if she knew me, her eyes questioning me of what is happening. Its weird but I can almost hear her say, 'Lucy-san' as she addressed me.

Suddenly, a force pushed me backwards. It was continuous, like a I'm falling towards a hole.

"Sit tight and beware of the eyes in the dark…" That's the only thing that I heard before opening my eyes to a familiar ceiling.

"Warm…" I sighed pleasantly.

I can feel something warm surround me and I almost nuzzle my face on it when I realized that its breathing. All reminiscent of my dream suddenly vanished as shock enveloped me. My brows furrowed at the sight of pink hair.

"Natsu?"

NATSU

I woke up to soft mutterings near me. I turned my head only to see Lucy sleeping on her side of the bed, pink bedsheets almost at her chin.

The room is dark, save for the light of the moon that shone from the window. It seems like she forgot to close her curtains.

"…Loke…" I turned to Lucy when I heard her mumbles out that Lion's name. I frowned, the fact that she uttered someone else's name doesn't sit well with me.

She was breathing quite heavily despite being asleep. Her eyebrows were scrunched up, as if something bad had happened which made me stare at her in worry.

I inch my right arm to her face, fingers smoothening the lines forming on her forehead, only smiling at the huff I received in return.

I continued to stare at her, her lips were pursed as if she wanted to say something so I once again moved closer to hear her clearly, until the distance between our faces are only about inches in length.

"…My fault…I'm sorry…" She whispered and I could only look at her in confusion and panic once she started tearing up.

What kind of dream is she having that made her want to cry?

"Wendy…" I suddenly became alert when I register who she called, sleep leaving my body as I stared at her in a mixture of shock, confusion and excitement.

"…Charle…Gray…" She continued; her face adorned with tears which I continued to wipe but to no avail.

"…Erza…" I suddenly felt her hand on mine that was hovering on her face to wipe her tears away.

"Happy…" She clenched her fist.

I waited with baited breath, assuming the name she'll call next.

"…want...to…see…them…" I was disappointed (honest!) but it was overcome by longing and loneliness at what she said.

Even without memories, I'm sure they miss you just like how I missed you…

"…Wish you…here…" I want things to go back too... I looked at her, wanting to embrace her to my body but I hesitated. Is it alright? In our current situation? Still contemplating, I was startled when I heard her next.

"Natsu…" Her voice as if pleading, broke my resolve. Damn it!

I held her hand tightly before moving to hold her in my arms, head resting on my chest. She fits perfectly in my embrace and I relished at the feeling of her.

"Natsu…"

I could hear her emotions when she called out to me.

"Please…"

I can only tighten my hold on her and whispered back, "I'm here…"

I'm sorry I'm late but know that I'll never let you out my sight again.

"Everything's gonna be okay, Luce…" I said before glancing at Happy who suddenly sat up from the couch.

"Natsu?" I heard him say. My brows were furrowed as I watched him whipped his head back in forth in panic.

"I'm right here, buddy…" He turned towards Lucy's bed. From my place, I saw his eyes were watery and I soften my gaze on him as he sniffled.

"C'mere buddy…" I stated, opening my arms. He activated his Aera and flew right to my embrace. I pat the top of his head and stayed quiet as I listen to him mumbling.

"I-I thought you waking up is all a dream!" Happy exclaimed and I suddenly felt guilt. Not just by this but also towards what I did earlier, when Erza confronted me.

I wasn't really thinking…All that's in my mind is the need for answers, and having fun at the party earlier doesn't lessen the agitation that I felt when I don't have a clue on what the hell happened and the fact that Lucy's nowhere to be found. It was selfish I know, but somehow I knew that it's the right decision to make at that time.

Now that I'm clear-headed with Lucy now in my embrace, I'm sure that I'll make that decision all over again, even if it's seen as a selfish act by the others.

I don't need—want to be a hero… I just wanted to be someone who'll ensure his loved ones are always safe and sound.

I'm going back, that's for sure…Fairy Tail, they're my family with or without any memories. They need to know what is happening. But for now, I'll just enjoy this moment, just this two days before I'm thrust back into reality.

"Sorry Happy…"

"Its okay, I was just scared it was all a dream…"Happy stated, nuzzling his face on my arm. Right, for Happy and the guild, I was in a coma for almost two years… That thought made me guilty more than ever but I stand by my decision that I'll chose to do that all over gain if given the chance.

"Sorry, I really am. I just—Like what you said, I just wanted to make sure that all of this—finding her, is not a dream. Cause' I feel like somehow, these are all still an illusion…" At my explanation, Happy nodded in understanding, staring at Lucy's face like me. Her face was scrunched up so I smoothened the lines once again with my fingers.

Happy snickered which melted into a small smile. "You really love her, Natsu?"

I grinned at his question, "Yeah, I do…"

"Even if I only met her today based from what I remember, you have my blessing…" I raised my brow at what he said but he only grinned at me teasingly. I was about to reply when he continued, "…as your best friend, partner and also…" He stopped before covering his mouth to contain what I assume as his laugh. He continued, "…your son. Lucy's gonna be my mother, Natsu?" At that, he laughed. I looked at him in shock at what he said before recovering and whisper-yelled, "Happy!"

He continued to laugh as I forced myself to calm down and successfully subside the sudden heat I felt on my face and ears.

Lucy groaned and I covered Happy's mouth with my hand. I was embarrassed but I don't want to wake Lucy up to this.

"She's gonna wake up!"

Happy nodded and I freed him from my grasp. He snickered as I gave him a look. I know he's just teasing and it made me Happy to know that he approves (Even if it's embarassing). Besides, he's the one who I confided to back then. Back when I was confused whenever he points out that my actions towards Lucy were more than a friend or nakama.

Suddenly he yawned so I just pat the place near the headboard where he used to sleep whenever we sneak on to Lucy's bed.

He crawled and settled himself. After a few seconds, I snickered when he snored, indicating he's once again asleep.

I turned to looked down at Lucy and consider what she said earlier, since it seems like I'm not going to fall asleep any second now.

Is she dreaming about Erza and the others?

So somehow, she remembers right? I was comforted at that thought. But if that's the case, how did she lost her memories?

A few minutes passed and I only snapped out of my thoughts when Lucy moved.

"Warm…"She muttered. I smiled at her pleased tone.

"Natsu?" At first, I thought she once again sighed my name in sleep which made me smile dopely like an idiot but when I felt her squirmed at her place, the reality of our situation suddenly dawned on me.

First, she doesn't remember me. And if she doesn't remember me, then I'm still a stranger in her eyes.

A stranger she reluctantly allowed to stay in her apartment, a stranger who she adamantly decided that should stay on her couch.

A stranger who crept on her bed while she's asleep…

Damn it! What do I do?! It's just a matter of seconds now before her usual Lucy kick!

"What are you doing in my bed?" Her voice was calm, very different from the aura I'm currently sensing coming from her.

I let go of her and scooted away as far as the bed could reach before tumbling off the floor.

"Aww that hurts…" I groaned out only to widen my eyes when I heard her exclaimed;

"Natsu, What. Are. You. Doing. In. MY. Bed?!"

And there she is…Erza 2.0. I wasn't able to suppress the shudder that came through me. Back then, I even suspect if Lucy's taking lessons from her and looking at her now, that doesn't seem too impossible knowing Erza and her over protective tendencies.

From her bed, she peered down at me, face flushed. Out of embarrassment or rage, I'm not exactly sure…just like how I'm sure what will happen to me now.

"Uhh sleeping?" I replied, smiling at her sheepishly. Oh god, I'm such an idiot…

"LUCY KICK!"

LUCY

"Ne, Lushii…" I faced Happy who is currently on the dining table, giving a glare at the Dragon Slayer behind him even if he wasn't able to see it. His salmon hair is disheveled as he lay it on the table. His eyes were closed but I'm pretty sure he's awake.

"Yes Happy?" I transferred the pancakes that I made to three plates from the pan, Happy's fish is on a separate plate with his pancakes, Natsu's with bacon and egg while I have two pieces of it.

Despite being annoyed, I still fixed Natsu his breakfast, slightly a bit guilty at the red foot mark on his visible torso because his vest was unbuttoned. Now, I know I should probably point this out and get him to dress properly since he's on someone else's house but I'm still annoyed at him so I just ignored his antics after what happened, knowing that he only wants to get a reaction from me. Basically, a silent treatment. And besides, if I asked him to button his clothes, he'll think I'm a pervert who ogles at his lean and fit body. Not a chance! Na-uhh even if he got a nice body and all…Ehem! Back to the present!

"Why does Natsu looked like this? Something happened last night?" He asked, curiosity and teasing evident in his tone. I have a feeling he's fully aware of what happened but I once again glowered in annoyance at the mention of it.

"He snuck onto my bed! What a pervert!"

"I'm not!" Natsu suddenly exclaimed, cowering down when I gave him a look. Happy snickered at the both of us.

"Then what do have to say for yourself when I found you on my bed?!"

"I-uhhh…"

"What?"

"I just...I-uhm"

"See? Noth-"

"I-I was making myself believe that this is real! …That you're really here…" He whispered, looking away. I remained silent, not knowing what to say after that…I mean, I want to say something but I'm not sure if it really is an appropriate things to say considering our situation.

Given the fact that I supposedly know them, I really wanted to say how much I miss them but I didn't, my rational mind not letting me. Thankfully, Happy broke the silence;

"But doesn't he usually do that whenever we sleep over here?" Happy asked and I could only gape at him in a mixture of shock, confusion and annoyance. Even Natsu sat up straight and looked at Happy strangely.

Awkwardness forgotten as we consider what Happy said.

"I only met the both of you yesterday! What do you mean by saying 'whenever you sleep over here'?!"

"Oh right!" He exclaimed as if he forgot to tell us something. He then turned to Natsu.

"Natsu! I had a dream last night about Lucy! Well, I think it's her even if she's all blurred!" Blurred?

"Dream? And what d'ya mean she's blurred?"

"Aye! I was carrying her while you were fighing! And I don't know, I just have a feeling that's her…" As soon as he said that, Natsu stood up before grinning excitedly like a child.

"What else do you remember Happy?!"

"We were in Hargeon and you were fighting men in a boat!" At the mention of the vehicle, Natsu unbelievably turned green. Ignoring his slumped figure on the table, I continued to question Happy.

"Hargeon?"

"Aye! We saved you from this mage named Bora who is kidnapping girls to Bosco! It's so realistic I almost believed it to be real!" He exclaimed. I saw Natsu wanted to say something (and he did) so I just remained quiet. I need to sort out my thoughts.

"That wasn't a dream Happy…"

"Its not? Oh I know! Is it a memory?"

"Yep, same with mine! We were in Hargeon that day cause' of a rumor goin' around that this 'Salamander' is visiting there…We went there in hopes to find news about Igneel but it turns out, this bastard's lying about his identity, even tryin' to use banned magical items to lure girls into his plans…"

Annoyance forgotten, I addressed the both of them with a question.

"Do you guys know what I am doing in Hargeon?"

"Lucy…" Natsu looks uncertain and I suddenly remember what I said to him yesterday.

'...And as much as I want to question you of what is truly happening, I don't now if I'm ready. Its like…I have the feeling that the answers that I seek will instantly change my life right now…'

"I know what I said. I don't really know why I believe your claims but I'm just going to trust you guys on this…And I think, telling me general things about me (that I don't remember) will let me get used to the idea of being her…The Lucy you remember."

"Alright but Luce, you're still you it's just that-"

"I know but I wanted to meet her…The her with her friends and adventures even if it's only from stories…" Very different from mine and what I remember as my life is. Well, is it really my life or just an altered one filled with lies and illusions?

"No, you don't understand…"I looked at Natsu in surprise. He looked at me seriously which contradicted to what I saw him as for the time we're together.

"The Lucy I know is here, standing in front of me…"

"But I don't have any memories of-"

"What did we do yesterday?"

"Wha—We uhh I made lunch for the both of you. We spent the time playing after that, talking before sleeping and you guys spending the night here? Natsu what is this all ab-"

"And you remember doing all that? With us?"

"Yeah?"

"Then you have memories with us! Look Luce…It doesn't matter what you remember or how long you remember us…I admit that those times were precious for us but what really matters is that you're here now! We can make new memories together! If you like, I would even tell you all of our adventures!"

"Memories are just part of all of us, Luce…They were the one we looked back on and those moments in life that made us who we are today. But at the end of the day, they were just that, a part of us. They're not 'us' as a whole. They're experiences that molded us to who we are today. You're still you, even without any memories…You're still the Lucy that I remember, you're Lucy of Fairy Tail and no amount of time could change that!" He finishes, giving me that wide toothy grin of him.

I was speechless, but not because I don't know what to say…But because I was touched by his words.

"Aye! Natsu's right with his surprisingly touching speech! ("What do you mean 'surprisingly'? Happy!" Natsu exclaimed in the background but Happy continued, ignoring what the he is saying) I may not be like Natsu who remembers everything but as a fellow member who also lost his memories, I'm pretty sure that we'll someday get it all back, adding them to a bunch of memories we will make! Oh, and especially today! We're going to tour you around Magnolia right?!" Happy cheerfully exclaimed before taking his fish off of his plate and having a big bite.

"Oh right! Sure you'll gonna love Magnolia! So c'mon let's eat! I'm starving!" Natsu agreed before eating a piece of bacon (aside from the big bite he took earlier) which causes some bits to fly out of his mouth.

"Natsu! Close your mouth and for heaven's sake! CHEW! Gods, you're going to choke at this rate!" I yelled at him only to receive a mischievous smile (plus all the food in his mouth). I cringe at the sight.

"Slow down!" I cried out, hitting him on the top of his head after standing and reaching out to him on the other side of the table.

"Aww Luce!" He rubbed his head before giving me a disapproving look.

"You deserve it! But seriously, guys…." I trailed off, waiting them to stop and listen. When they're too distracted, I snapped at them, annoyed at being ignored.

"GUYS!"

They both looked at me as if I was crazy, which I think will be my state the more I hang out with them! I sighed, calming my self down.

"I just wanted to say thank you…" I said, giving them both a soft smile. Natsu grinned, transferring his seat next to mine before placing his arm on my shoulders.

"No problem!"

"Aye! But I demand for more fish!" I gave Happy a glare which was cut off when I heard Natsu chuckled.

He's so close! I could almost feel his breath on my neck!

"And I'll tell you about what happened in Hargeon later! That's even where we first met! Just got to be reminded though, or else I'll forget about it…" He said to which I nodded to before pushing his face as far away as I can from me.

"You're too close!"

This earned me a groan, probably in surprise, from him.

"Urgh! Lucee~" He whined and I could only giggle at his childishness.

"You both planned to tour me around, right? So just eat and let this get over with!"

I stared at the rambunctious chattering of the duo in front of me, their topic changing to different ones in a matter of minutes and I can only shake my head at their antics. I smiled at them before a thought came to mind.

Speaking of dreams…What did I dreamt of last night? Is it a memory like Happy's?

I was about to take a bite but I suddenly remember one last thing.

"Sit tight and beware of the eyes in the dark…" The voice said. I widened my eyes at the sudden glimpse of a place, a man and a woman named 'Yukino' in my mind.

"Lucy? Something wrong?" I heard Natsu asked.

Do I tell him? I shook my head. Maybe later after the tour. I don't want to ruin the morning by some ominous dream… I'm not even sure if it's real or not, though it feels real.

"It's nothing…Just thinking about what we would do later." I said to which he nodded at.

"Well, trust us that it'll gonna be fun!" Natsu replied, flashing me a smile before turning his attention back to his food.

I observed him, them.

I trust the both of you…

I trust you.

ERZA

"So, what's the plan?" Gray asked when he arrived at our designated meeting place, which is by the bar as Mira organized the beverages, especially the liquors, making it easier for Lisanna (who will substitute her for the whole day) to locate them.

Yesterday we decided that asking Natsu about what happened is our first step in understanding what is happening. We can't just make a move, blindly searching for God knows what! We need answers.

I considered Gray's question, eyes looking at the members of our small group.

"We need to find Natsu…" I started before looking at each and everyone of them.

"Wendy's a dragon slayer which means she has much more heightened senses than all of us. Pairing her with Charle…they could scope out the entire Magnolia by air…"

"But Wendy's a-" I cut off Charle, already knowing what her concern about when it comes to Wendy's well-being.

"I'm going to help her, I'll take the south of Magnolia and she'll be on the north side…Is that alright with Wendy?" I turned to the bluenette, waiting for her response.

"Hai, Erza-san! I'll do my best locating Natsu-san!" She said, brown eyes emitting courage and perseverance to which I smiled at.

I continued, "Gray, Juvia and Mira will take the land…Gray on the west, Juvia on the east while Mira will cover the center. With this, we can already scope and speed up our search. I want us to be enlightened with some answers as soon as possible…Any comments?" I questioned, calling out Juvia when she raised her hand.

"Can't Juvia team up with her Gray-sama? We can just ask someone else to take up Juvia's place!" The water mage exclaimed, clinging to the arm of the already uncomfortable Gray. He's not that indenial like before but knowing him, he's just uncomfortable to show his 'uncool' and soft side to others.

"This small group of us is enough, but you need to understand that this is big. I understand your want to be with Gray but this doesn't only concern Lucy, Natsu and us...Look around you, it already affected the whole guild…We need answers so I'm afraid to tell you 'No' " I said directly, eyeing the frown that made its way on her face. I felt guilty being the cause of that but I just hope she'll understand.

"Erza's right…" Gray agreed which only caused a much more deeper dent on the water Mage's frown.

"Juvia understands…" She said, disappointment evident on her voice.

"But…" We all looked at Gray who was scratching the back of his head, eyes looking away from us.

"I'll try to search for pyro a bit faster…There's only fields in my side anyway, I'll join you in the East after that…" He mumbled out and I can only smile in response when I saw Juvia suddenly glowing and not a second later tackling him for a hug.

"Get her off of me! Help!" Gray exclaimed but we just ignored him since this occurrence is already common for the both of them.

Mira giggled at them and I even caught a mischievous glint on her eyes before it disappears as she turned towards me.

"How will we be able to communicate with each other?" She asked. I got a hold of the bag I'm carrying since earlier before showing it to them.

"I asked Warren for some of this miniature communication lacrima he invented…We can use this to communicate with each other once one of us spotted where Natsu is…" They nodded and I distributed the lacrima to them.

"Erza-san?"

"Yes, Wendy?" she fiddled with her fingers, nervousness visible on her face.

"Why can't we tell Master about this?"

"Its not that we can't tell him…I just wanted to have clearer understanding with what is happening before speaking with Master with all of this. So that when he questions us about it, we already have Natsu by our side by then…Explaining the situation. What we have now are just mere glimpses of what our connection is to Lucy and some hypothesis of what is happening. After finding Natsu, we can finally tell Master about this…" I saw her nod.

As soon as Gray recovered with a smiling Juvia behind him, I looked at them encouragingly and stated, "Let's go and find Natsu…"

"Hai!"

"I have a feeling that this will be interesting…"

"I'm gonna punch that pyro for all of this when I find him!"

"Juvia's going on a date with Gray-sama!"

"No, I'm not!" Gray denied.

"I'm right! This will all be so interesting!"

"Mira-san…" Wendy muttered, staring at Mira's face whose eyes were shining as she stares at the interaction between Gray and Juvia.

"Such a rumbustious squad…" Charle sighed.

"GUYS!" They all stopped talking. Even some of the early risers from the guild glance my way.

I cleared my throat, staring at all of them down.

"Let's go…" I was satisfied when they followed me out of the guild.

LEVY

"Why are we in a library?! Ugh It's so early and I wanna have my morning booze~" Cana exclaimed, burying her face on a pile of paper.

We're currently in the guild's library, on the archives section which is commonly restricted to Fairy Tail members other than Master, me (for matters involving the Guild) and some S-Class Mages like Erza and Laxus. After we consulted Master that something's happening, he told us to find more evidences the next morning (which is now) while he'll visit Porlyusca, the council for Mest and lastly, some of his acquaintances in the Wizard Saints like Warrod-san.

Other than this, I even plan on conducting my own research on the type of spells that falls into this category in Magnolia's library and also through my connections at my short service in the Magic Council. I also planned to search for any kind of news during the past two weeks, mostly concerning about Celestial Mages and their Spirits to find any clue on the cause of all this.

"You already had a drink Cana and we've been here for only about half an hour…" I stated, eyes going over the texts in the paper I'm holding.

"But it felt like ages! 'sides I felt dizzy looking all of this texts! What are we doing here anyways? We need to find answers!"

"And we're finding one…Look." I gave her the article reading about a certain heiress. From what is written, it was of a runaway heiress joining a guild. I pointed out the blurry name we encountered yesterday. "Seeing that there, I'm pretty sure it's about her…"

"So she's an heiress huh? That's probably connected with what I found in the 'past' when I asked my cards. She was binded by her responsibilities and etc…I'm guessing by joining Fairy Tail, we saved her from that? Is that it?" She mused to her self before looking at me in confusion when I continued stare at her, as if waiting for her to say something. Well, I am.

"What?"

I sighed before saying, "Read the whole article…It was mentioned that we were engaged in a war with Phantom Lord and some witnesses explained that this Jude Heartfilia hired Phantom Lord to bring his daughter home. It was also indicated that this plan's backfired since we're their enemies, add the fact that Master Jose followed his selfish deeds." At the mention of Phantom Lord, I felt a looming presence behind me. I glance at him though I already know what he wants to know.

"What do you mean Phantom Lord?" Gajeel asked, snatching the article from Cana, reading it for himself.

"Exactly like what is written in that…It seems that Lucy Heartfilia is the reason why the war between us and Phantom Lord happened…" I watched as his expression changes but was side tracked when Cana called me.

"And this is important because?"

I released a short breath before answering, "Its important because I don't remember the cause of that war. Do you?" She shook her head.

"How about you?" I questioned Gajeel who also shook his head as a 'No'. Lily just watched us, listening intently.

"See?" I pointed at my head. "This spell mostly aims our memories." I lowered it before looking at them seriously, "Who wouldn't be confuse of why can't any of us remember the cause of that war when we even participated in it? I get it, it all started when some of the members were attacked (Gajeel looked away. I sent him a soft smile, wanting to tell him it's alright and it's not his fault) but there's just something that doesn't add up. We've been at war with Phantom Lord for a long time but that's the only time they did that, and this (I pointed at the article) is the answer to that. It seems like whoever did this spell was able to block anything related to Lucy on our memories, which is why we kept seeing a blurred person and even name! We only remember her by the description encrypted to the 'visions' or the memories we're seeing ever since hearing about her name because it was OUR thoughts at that time…"

I took a deep breath and continued, "Memories aren't easy to erase, fully. Yes, we forgot the things connected about Lucy because of this spell, but since she's a vital person to our lives, connected to the important events to us, it leaves certain blanks in our memories when they were changed! The caster wasn't able to 'fill' in those gaps because all they made sure is that we forget all of the things connected to her…" I smiled sadly at that before saying, "You see, altering memories is not easy. I read that you have to organize them, connecting them with one another, to be able to change one's memory. Like a program, an essay. Think of it like this, to make a thought or opinion, several of our memories connect with each other which we usually use as our basis…And the 'blanks' in our memories are the reason why our memory of her is coming back. Even if they were able to alter our memories at first, these gaps served as links to the real ones since they were not filled. They were still connected to our real memories, we just need a trigger…"

I smiled at them, "And that trigger is Natsu…like a chain reaction, Natsu's insistence of Lucy's existence is the reason why we're all here, aware that something's wrong…So far, that's my understanding to the spell used to us. I'm still not sure how large it's scope is, it's cure and even about some vital things about it so after this, I'll conduct my own search…"

"Are you sure that it's a spell?" Gajeel asked.

"I'm not a hundred percent sure…but it mostly point to that option."

They all nodded before Cana asked, "Are there more articles like this?"

I nod at her. "Yes, but it all coincides with what is written with our archives, the lists of missions Natsu and the others took…And with Master's permission yesterday, he allowed me to take home the guild's Historia and with it, I am really now certain that Lucy's-no, Lu-chan's a part of the guild…"

"Holy shit! The guild's Historia?! You mean that magical book that Master Mavis designed to write the history of our guild and it's tales?!"

"There is such a thing?" Lily voice out from where he is sitting beside Gajeel, in front of pile of albums.

"Yup! And that is the reason why we're here today! We're only going though this files for the things not included in it but I already have the overall understanding of who is Lucy Heartfilia although…" I frowned, not pleased that there are still some things I don't know about.

"What is it?" Lily asked, worry evident in his tone.

I sighed, "Its just that…There are still many unknowns! I'm just frustrated, that's all…"

"You don't have to process all this by yourself in that little head of yours, shrimp…" I looked at Gajeel in surprise but said nothing and let him continue, "We're here aren't we? Where'd that bossy, Magic Council's head researcher has gone? Sorry but I can only see a shrimp in front of me Gihee" Gajeel a, looking down at me. I could only glare at him before hinting to aim one of my hard bound books on his direction. I saw him flinch and I looked at him, amused at his reaction but also glad that he finally got over what he read and thinking of earlier.

"Now where's the big bad Dragon Slayer gone?" I stated teasingly, earning a glare which doesn't scare me off like before since I know he doesn't mean it.

"He's right here and don't go looking all smug and that…Shrimp" He replied, wanting to tease me but I just shook my head at him and smiled.

He's trying to comfort me earlier… Seriously, he's really a softie even if he doesn't show it!

"Thanks Gaj…" He looked away clearly embarrassed. I was about to say something else when I heard a cough from beside me.

Cana!

"Oho, flirting so early in the morning huh?" She stated, giving us a teasing smirk.

"Cana!"

"Shut it you drunkard!"

At our response, I could see Lily joining Cana with her laughs.

Face still flushed, I pat the book inside of the messenger bag I brought today.

We're going to find out what is happening! Wait for us, Lu-chan!

LUCY

"So, where to first?" I questioned the overly excited duo beside me. Natsu only gave me a mischievous grin that made me question this whole ordeal all over again. I stared at him, uncertainty evident on my face.

I'm wearing a blue sleeveless sundress with matching brown boots. For my hair, I put it in a high ponytail using a blue-colored ribbon. I'm carrying a small sling bag where the keys my mother gave me resides, not wanting to leave them on my apartment. Aside from applying some powder and lip gloss, I didn't put anything else.

"Were going to Magnolia Southgate Park!" He answered while we walk along the shopping center near Strawberry Street where my apartment is located.

"A park?"

"Yeah, and we'll gonna play! Right, Happy?"

"Aye! And I'm going to win this time! If I win, you'll both going to buy me fish!"

I gave him a deadpanned look, "We just ate Happy…"

"Its not too late to have snack?" He said, hopefully at us. When he was sure I'm not going to agree, he turned to Natsu who only gave him a apologetic smile.

"Sorry Happy but remember we have to tour Lucy? Let's just eat at lunch, bet it's gonna be delicious!"

"Okayy…" He replied, clearly down and I suddenly felt guilty being the cause of it.

"Tell ya what, I'll catch you more fish later after all this…Deal?" Natsu proposed causing the exceed to brighten up and cheer.

"Aye!"

Looking at them, I could clearly see how close they are and it makes me wonder if I have the same relationship with them.

Natsu haven't told me some stories yet so I'm just gonna have to remind myself to tell him later.

"Luce! C'mon! You're falling behind!" I snap out my thoughts when I heard Natsu yelled at me.

"What a slowpoke you are Lushii!"

"I'm not a slowpoke! I'm just thinking about something!"

"Excuses, excuses…" Natsu teased causing me to hit him on his arms. He scrunched up his face a little bit before recoiling.

"Aww you're so violent!"

"Aye! Lucy's like an amazonian woman! Violent and Scary!"

"You! Shut it you cat if you love your furs!"

"Nastuuu! Helpp! Lucy's gone crazyyy!" Happy exclaimed hovering on the two of us. Natsu only laughed as I grunt from swapping the air, intending for it to be Happy but to no avail.

This day's going to be quite eventful!

NATSU

We arrived at the park to some kids playing and a few people loitering around, fixing their booths for the event here today. From my place, I could see the big printed letters of 'MAGNOLIA'S MAYOR HUBER'S 56th BIRTHDAY! WELCOME VISITORS!". Oh, it's that Mayor from after the Grand Magic Games. Huber's his name? Wow, now I know.

It's still early so it's understandable that they're just setting up. I have a good feeling for the plans Happy and I made for today!

I faced Lucy and Happy, sending a look at the latter which he smiled cheekily at. Happy activated his Aera from Lucy's hold before flying beside me and together we faced Lucy, who looked as if she wanted to run away from us. I chuckled at her uncertain expression before clearing my throat and exclaiming with Happy, "WELCOME TO MAGNOLIA SOUTHGATE PARK, LUCY HEARTFILIA!" I know it's such a childish act but it's all worth it when I saw an embarrassed Lucy hiding her face with her fingers.

"Stoooppp!" Lucy whisper-shouted at us. We both smiled at her mischievously.

Happy and I looked at each other once again. "Seems like Lucy's ready to bolt out of here, Happy!"

"Aye! Lucy's face is so red I'm afraid it's going to pop!" Happy chided.

"You guys, stop! Everyone's looking at us!" Lucy exclaimed, pointing at our spectators.

I shrugged, not really bothered by the attention. Instead, I took ahold of Lucy's and ran towards the big fountain found on the center of the park.

As usual, she yelled in surprise before dragging her feet on the ground but I didn't let her.

"Natsu! Where are we going?!"

"We're going to play!"

"Play what?!"

"TAG!" Happy exclaimed, still matching our pace. I only gave him a nod and shot Lucy an excited look.

Lucy gave us an unbelieving look, "Even without memories, I know that's only for kids!"

We shook our heads at her, stopping our run as we reached the pavement around the large fountain.

"Don't be such a kill joy Lushi." Happy stated, disabling his Aera before falling on top of my head.

"Yeah Luce! And besides, it'll be fun!"

"But I thought you're touring me around? Why do you want to play?"

"Cause' it's still early!"

"Aye! And it's because of Lucy!"

She glared at us before crossing her arms on her chest. "So it's my fault then?" We both nodded at her statement. She stomped her foot and fumed, "Its all because you decided to sneak on my bed that I can't fall asleep anymore! Pervert!" She pointed at me.

I chortled a laugh at how she acted. "I already told you I'm not so just relax…You looked stressed, we just wanted you to loosen up a bit!" I said then tilted my head towards the fountain. "So c'mon! This'll be fun! Trust us!"

She was silent for a few minutes before sighing and nodding. Me and Happy grinned triumphantly at each other.

"Now that's settled…"I started before smirking at Lucy as she backed away from us. I quickly got a hold of her wrist, stopping her from moving away before pulling her towards me. She let out a squeak in surprise.

I neared my face towards her, sighing at her scent before inching by her ear and whispered, "Tag, you're it!"

I quickly let go of her as I ran around the fountain, Happy following me.

Using my heightened senses, I heard her mumbled, "That guy! And what the hell's wrong with me?!" To which I grinned at.

Sorry but I don't only plan to make you remember… I glanced at her form who snapped out of trance and turned to glare at us in annoyance and competitiveness. I also plan to show you how I feel...

THIRD PERSON'S POV

Lucy's face was flushed due to embarrassment, annoyance and competitiveness. She remembered the irregular thumping of her heart at the Dragon Slayer's close proximity but it quickly dissolves when she realizes what he said. At that time, she suddenly remembers what it felt like to wake up by his side. She was having a dream, she was sure of it due to the irregularity of her heartbeat and the way she breath heavily but his warmth made her feel safe.

"I just slept with a man!" At that thought, she felt herself turned red. Oh, that statement is so misleading… she mused internally.

Laughter snapper her out of her thoughts, eyes quickly darting towards a certain Dragon Slayer and exceed.

LUCY

"Lushii come and get us!" Happy exclaimed from the other side of the fountain. So that's why they chose near the fountain. It's round in shape so this guaranteed how hard it is running after them. Those cheaters!

"Hey Luce! Don't tell me you're giving up already?!" Natsu added. I glared at the both of them before starting to run.

I ran after them and was able to circle the fountain one time before stopping. I looked around me and noticed that we've gathered quite a crowd, especially children who were staring at us in wonder.

I smirked at the idea that I thought of, especially when I saw some of them holding a magical item I'm aware that's popular with kids nowadays. I saw it the other day with Loke while shopping for my food supplies. It was a gun but it isn't dangerous since it is supposed to be for kids. It's a toy gun fused with a small water lacrima on its center. This toy can create a straight line of water stream for about a meter when the button near the handle is pressed. Basically, a water gun.

I can hear Natsu and Happy's taunts but I just ignored them. Instead, I smiled kindly at the group of children I saw then walked towards them. They looked at me in confusion as I bent my knee and kneel down their heights. There were five of them, a boy and girl with raven locks (which I think were twins), one blonde haired and bluenette boy, and lastly a girl with a brunette hair. The boy with raven colored hair stared at me curiously as the four behind him stood there, quiet and in awe. Why? I'm not exactly sure but I ignored that and spoke to the boy.

"Hi..." I started, smiling at him. I was amused when he blushed and waited as he opened his mouth to speak.

"H-hello Ms.!" He exclaimed, smiling at me.

"So, me and my friends are playing…And it seems like you wanted to join soo…" I trailed off and grinned when I saw an excited glint in his eyes. He glance at his friends who has the same reaction at them before nodding vigorously at my direction.

"Great! But there's one more thing…" I whispered at him, them since I can see that the other four were also interested.

"You see that guy over there with his cat?" I pointed at Natsu and Happy who are currently watching us. I don't know why but I can see Natsu grinning at me knowingly as if he knows what we're talking about.

Do Dragon Slayers have heightened senses?! I shrugged those thoughts off. Impossible! It can't be…right?

Nevertheless, I continued. "We're playing tag but it seems like they partnered off against me…" I pouted, eyes downcasted for effects. I grinned internally when I heard them gasped.

I glance at them, making sure I got their attention. "So can you guys help me?"

"Two vs. One! That's not fair!"

"Of course Miss Lucy! You're so pretty!"

How did she know my name? I was about to question the bluenette at his statement when the child I've been talking to earlier said, "He's Natsu Dragneel right?! The fire Dragon Slayer?!"

I nod at that. So Natsu's popular huh?

"So before starting, what are your names?"

"My name is Adrian and this is my twin Eira!" I waved at both of the raven-haired siblings before looking at the other three.

"I'm Luke!" The blonde said followed by the bluenette who introduced himself as "Gale".

"M-my name is Faith, nice to meet you!" The brunette 'Faith' said. I stood up and starting to introduce my self when Faith suddenly interjected.

"My name is-"

"You're Lucy, Natsu's Princess right?" To say I'm shock is an understatement.

Natsu's princess? And again, how do they even know me?

I can hear Natsu and Happy's voices as they come closer to me but I ignored them once again, focusing on what Faith had said.

"Princess?"

"Yeah! He's a dragon and you're his Princess right?!" Eira added. The other four nodded as if they were also aware of this.

What? Am I perhaps known around here? Since Natsu's my friend and all?

"H-how-"

"Hey guys!" Natsu's greeting cut me off when I was about to question the kids.

He wrapped his arms around my shoulder. I looked at him, eyes searching for answer. He stared back, giving me an understanding look.

"I'll tell you all about it later Luce…" He promised before giving high fives to Luke, Adrian and Gale.

Luke gushed about how cool Natsu is while Eira and Faith bombarded him with questions about him and me, his 'princess'.

I mulled at what he said before sighing. I'll just forget for now, same reason as to why I want to tell him about what I dreamt about last night.

With that decision in mind, I smiled at the kids.

"So about what I said, are you guys in?" At this, they all turned to face me. I grinned at the dumbfounded look on Happy's face but it was lessened when I saw Natsu's knowing look.

What is he all smug about?!

All five of the kids nodded before glancing at the Dragon Slayer and exceed.

"Natsu? Why are they looking at us like that?" Happy asked Natsu who only grinned.

"Looks like they're on Lucy's side…" He answered, amusement visible on his expression.

I nod at the children who are looking at me for any signals. I tilt my head towards the duo, reflecting the mischievous smile the five of them have as they tuned to look at their 'targets'.

"Ready kids?!"

"Yes!"

Oh, It's a mistake you went near us! Natsu only chuckled at us before pulling Happy with him as he ran.

"RUN HAPPY! Those were all Luce's allies!" Natsu yelled as I exclaimed, "LET'S GO!"

I saw Happy activated his magic as Natsu laughed out loud. I giggled at the determined look at Adrian and Luke face as they ran after them. Faith and Eira were holding hands as they followed me on the opposite direction, with Gale following holding his water gun. Now, with us following them on opposite sides, this circular path would no longer be my disadvantage!

THIRD PERSON'S POV

As Natsu and Happy were cornered, they both nodded at each other before going off to different directions. The kids looked at Lucy for a plan. She gathered all of them and after a few minutes, the by standers could already see three young boys going after the exceed who, when he saw them chasing him, lowered the height of his flight in consideration. On the other side of the park, an unusual group could be seen, a salmon headed young man running away from a blonde of the same age. On their trail are two young girls.

They were all laughing merrily allowing the people building their booths to glance their way every now and then. Their thoughts mostly about how the known two members of Team Natsu, namely Lucy Heartfilia and Natsu Dragneel, are good with children. This scene only strengthens the rumor going around about the relationship status of the two, which they are not aware of…well, one of them is thanks for his heightened sense of hearing.

No one scolded them as they ran around booth by booth, used people as shields as so on and so forth. It was not an uncommon sight for them, even though they're not aware of the fact that something bad is happening. The people of Magnolia just carried on, laughing and shaking their heads when the famed Dragon Slayer pretended to be pained whenever he was shot by the water gun.

It was a great sight to see, a young 'couple' and exceed playing with children.

As the time passed, those who are watching them saw the end of their game. The exceed didn't notice he was heading for the bark of a tree, busy glancing at the children after him. He hit it, automatically deactivating his magic as he flops down the ground. The three kids after him surrounded him as Happy raised his paws, exclaiming "I surrender!" to which caused the three boys to laugh with him.

At this, Natsu looked their direction, clearly distracted by it for a moment. Lucy saw this as an opportunity to tackle him.

As they fall into the ground, Lucy minding hers since she's wearing a skirt, she urged the two young girls with them to copy her. Now, Natsu Dragneel is trapped, but he just grinned at this and stayed on the ground.

"Alright, alright…You win!" Natsu affirmed, closing his eyes as he pretended to be dead.

Faith and Eira looked at each other before exclaiming their Yey's to which Lucy laughed at.

All of them clearly enjoyed it and truth be told, Lucy did loosen up like what Natsu and Happy's planned to.

After a minute of silence to catch their breath, they stood up and regrouped by the fountain.

NATSU

"That was fun!" At this, the children cheered.

Happy pouted, "Though I wasn't able to win some fish…" He whined but I rust pat the top of his head to comfort him.

"I honestly had fun, thanks guys…" At Lucy's statement, I was pleased. I shot her a smug look to which she shook her head at.

"Oh, quit looking all smug Mr. fire Dragon Slayer."

"We told you so!"

Instead of getting annoyed, she just giggled at that before tuning to look at the children.

"How about we eat before you all go to your parents?" They nodded vigorously. They're so cute!

"Uh-oh, Natsu look! Lucy's gonna eat the children!" I saw Lucy scowled at Happy's teasing.

"One more word from you and believe me! I'll hide that green back up of yours that's full of fish!" She threatened. I chuckled at that, knowing she won't be able to do it. She's too soft to Happy.

"Natsuuu! Lucy's so mean!" Happy whined, fake crying.

"Its alright buddy…Remember I'll catch you many fish after all this?" I glanced at Lucy. "And besides, Lucy's too soft to take all your precious fish away!"

Happy glanced at Lucy before giving me a cheeky grin. "Yeah you're right! My future mother's too lenient to her future son, right Father?" I felt myself heat up at the last part that he whispered.

"Happy!" I hissed at him but he only continued to laugh.

"Why? What did he say?" I stilled at Lucy'ssudden question.

I shook my head at her, "It's nothing! C'mon! Let's eat!" I stood up then headed to the first booth near us.

THIRD PERSON'S POV

The blonde stared at Natsu's back as she urged the children to follow him. She looked at Happy for answers but the exceed only grinned at her before following the Dragon Slayer.

Lucy pursed her lips. I'm sure it's NOT nothing. She thought as she continued to observe the duo.

"Bye-bye!" As soon as they finished eating their snacks, they finally said their farewells to one another. The children waved at the trio. It's quite disappointing that they have to end hanging out with their new found friends but their parents might've been worried for them.

Lucy waved back at them as Natsu and Happy shot them various farewell promises of how they would someday meet and play with them or their constant 'See you soons'.

They might not say it out loud but the Fairy Tail mages really enjoyed themselves.

Still smiling, Lucy caught Natsu's gaze.

"Soo…Where to next?" She questioned. The Dragon Slayer grinned at her, once again excited to show her what he planned.

"Next stop, Kardia Cathedral!"

ERZA

I rest at the top of one's roof when I heard the communication lacrima rang, indicating that someone's calling.

I opened it, after equipping it from my dimensional storage, before pressing the answer button.

"Erza-san…" Wendy's voice could be heard on the other side of the line.

"Did you find something?"

"Hai…but it's not in the North."

"What do you mean?"

"Charle and I are searching far North when I heard someone shouting Lucy Heartfilia's name distinctly, coming from the south…I'm not exactly sure where since Natsu-san and Gajeel-san's sense of hearing are more proficient than mine…"

"Wendy!" I heard Charle exclaimed, obviously displeased at the insecured tone Wendy used when she compared herself to her fellow Dragon Slayers.

"But it's true!" Wendy argued back.

I shook my head at her response, "Wendy, you don't have to compare yourself to others." At her silence, I continued. "You're an amazing mage who has great skills! But it's alright that you feel that way, really. I won't force you to feel otherwise but just remember that I—we will always be here to tell you how amazing you are at what you do."

I heard her sniff and I can only smile at Charle's continuous pampering.

"H-hai! I'm sorry for this Erza-san when we're in the middle of-"

"It's alright Wendy, this is also important. You shouldn't think otherwise."

"Thank you, Erza-san!" I smiled at the cheerfulness that I heard in her voice. "As for Natsu-san's location, I'm not sure if what I heard is his voice but I thought that I should let you know about it…"I nodded at this, pleased that she told me.

"Thank you, Wendy. I'll make sure to notify you and the others when I find something."

When the call ended, I reequipped the lacrima.

I allowed myself to think as I lean on the structure's chimney top.

According to Wendy, it's in the South but where?

The only possible places that I can think of is Fairy Hills, the guild and Magnolia Southgate Park.

I'm sure Natsu's nowhere near Fairy Hills as well as the guild… so, the park?

I prepared myself, equipping into my Heaven's Wheel armor.

All this effort just to search for you Natsu…

Oh, I'll make sure to talk some sense into you when I find you…

END OF CHAPTER 8

A/N:

First for the reviews!

From the first chapter to chapter 6, thank you Ammany, Xfangirl123X, Blueupdate, LRCN, Khlanixc, and Copperreign12 for your reviews! I really appreciate them so thank you!

As for the latest reviews;

Copperreign12: Thank you for sharing your thoughts! And you're right, Natsu sees this as an opportunity to show Lucy what he really felt about her! As for Lucy, you know the saying… 'The mind remembers the words, but the heart remembers how it feels. The mind can forget but the heart never will'. And I think, we all know that Lucy feels something 'unexplainable'~ Anyway, thank you for reviewing on chapter 4 up until to the latest! I really appreciate it!

Guest: Thanks for pointing it out for me! I already edited those parts out :) As for your theories, yes, just like what was discovered last chapter, 'Daimon' is from 400 years ago but I assure you, he is not a spatial magic user! That person's identity was revealed in this chapter as a new character and I first introduced her in Chapter 3! Oh, the people she's with at that time we're still not included here, just letting you know…well, except for her 'Master'. Another thing is that, the chest Levy found is unrelated to the relic they wanted but hmmm…I guess I could think about it? It could be but as for now, no. It's not. Anyway, thank you for sharing your thoughts! I hope to hear your opinion again next time!

snowfairy65: Thank you for your encouragement! I'll be sure to remember it for the next chapters!

That's all for the reviews! As for the story, I know I don't update regularly and I'm aware of that, sorry. I just get distracted easily and ugh! The mental blocks! I really hate when I had that! Oh, I just want to let you guys know that the plot is just starting! From here on, I will start dropping clues and introducing the situation! I hope you're curious so far cause' I'm really excited to write it!

And before I forgot! There was no name indicated for Magnolia's Mayor so I just used the name of the one voiced him in English which is named Chuck Huber. That's all!

Next chapter; Chapter 9: Chasing Fire.

Sneak peak for the next chapter!

"Lucy, do you trust me?" I asked her, eyes nervously roaming around our surroundings.

Damn it! I definitely smell Erza's scent!

I closed my eyes to focus on her exact location but I just cursed under my breath when I also sense Ice princess, Juvia, Mira and Wendy!

What are they doing here?!

"Natsu?" Lucy's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

I looked at her expectantly only to flash her a wide grin when I saw her nod.

"Yes, I trust you…"

"Well better hold onto that trust Luce! Cause' I'm touring you around Magnolia, fast paced edition!" I exclaimed, before pulling her to run.

I hope you enjoyed it! Share your thoughts on your reviews, I'll really appreciate it if you did!
