"Is there such a thing?"

"Yes, as long as you stay true to yourself. After all, It's love…"

CHAPTER 9: Chasing Fire

LUCY

"Care to tell me what are your plans for today?" We walked at a moderate pace, all comfortable at the small talks we found ourselves in every now and then.

I really enjoyed what happened in the park with the kids and I can't just not ask him about his plans!

I'm really glad I agreed to this, because even if they were such an obnoxious duo, both he and Happy have already a place in my heart even without doing anything to earn it!

Is that weird? Yes, but I won't ask myself why anymore...I'll just trust my guts about them, and it's telling me that they're good people.

Sometimes, it really surprises me how I can remain calm about these things.

Natsu glanced at me, turning his upper body in my direction, arms still behind his neck. He gave me a smirk that instantly made me feel nervous...Not in a bad way, of course, it's just radiating an It's-secret-but-it's-gonna-be-a-badass kind of smirk.

"Now where's the fun in that? C'mon Luce, loosen up would you?" He chuckled at me, briefly exchanging looks with the blue feline busy pointing things around us.

"How can I do that if you have that look on your face?!"

He raised his eyebrow, amused. "What look?"

"That whatever you're planning is something crazy!"

He chuckled, letting me have a clear view of his pointed fangs. "Well, normal's boring anyway..."He shrugged nonchalantly before continuing, "Just trust us, I promise it'll gonna be fun!" Then his wide toothy grin once again made an appearance.

Honestly, is he always smiling?! Didn't he know the effect that smile of his has?!

But...I pouted.

It really suits him...He looks so handsome smiling.

"Lucy?"

I gave him an unimpressed look, shaking my head to get rid of those thoughts, before sighing. I looked away, mumbling to myself. "That grin of yours should be illegal..."

I let out an -eeep when he suddenly blocks my view with his face!

What the hell is this idiot thinking?!

"Why should my grin be illegal?" I flushed red at his question. What an obvious! Idiot! Ugh-!

Oh-kay, one thing to do!

Act innocent!

"Huh? What are you talking about?" I tilt my head to the side, giving him the most 'innocent' expression I could muster at this very moment.

He didn't say anything as he stared back at me expectantly.

I gave him a glare before mumbling, "I said, 'As long as it's not illegal'...What grin are you talking about?" I continued but he only chuckled at me.

Is he enjoying this?! I groaned internally. And if he is, how dare he pretend not to know anything!

He shot me a knowing look that had me clenching my fist to contain my embarrassment and annoyance, as my face remained unchanged.

"If ya say so~"

Urgh! The nerve of this guy! He's such a tease!

"Look! There it is!" Happy exclaimed causing me to look in the direction he was pointing at.

Kardia Cathedral.

Topic temporarily forgotten, the three of us gave one another a grin before running the rest of the way.

From what I heard, this is one of the most famous distinctive landmarks of Magnolia as it's said to be one of the three great churches in the kingdom of Fiore. And from what I'm seeing right now, I can understand why.

Kardia Cathedral has an appearance of a modern cathedral as a rectangular shape building, with four cylindrical keep towers attached at each corner. The entrance is a huge gate, with a small bell tower at the very top of the side of the building facing the entrance.

"Wow..." I gasped, as I stopped running in front of it, eyes following each intricate design of the building. My earlier thoughts are forgotten, I was in awe at the structure in front of me.

From beside me, I felt a nudge. I cast Natsu a glance which he only returned with a shrug. "What is it?"

"Wanna go inside?" I gave him a smile before nodding, wanting to explore the Cathedral more.

"C'mon! You too Happy!" He exclaimed, motioning for the feline to follow after us.

We were almost by the huge gate when we were stopped by a man dressed in white, which I concluded was the priest–who I saw greeting townspeople entering the Cathedral's premises from a distance earlier–and a woman dressed formally in a white button-down blouse and black skirt. She wore glasses that she fixed as she seemingly studied us.

The strange thing is, the woman was looking at us, particularly at Natsu with such a reluctance that made me feel strangely defensive.

Just before Natsu could question them why they blocked our way, I took a step forward, my expression hardening when I saw a look of disgust flash from the woman's eyes.

"Salamander of Fairy Tail?" The priest acknowledge, to which Natsu nodded at.

Salamander? I mouthed, gaze catching his. He snickered.

And Fairy Tail? I added in my head.

Momentarily distracted by that term, I glance at him, raising an eyebrow. He grinned at me when he caught my stare to which I just giggled at. My gaze sharpened, however when the other woman with us she cleared her throat, getting our attention.

"I'm afraid that you won't be able to enter the Cathedral, Salamander of Fairy Tail."

"And why is that?" I asked, shutting Natsu up of his obvious objection.

"Ahh, the famed celestial spirit mage, Lucy Heartfilia is it?"

I was shocked at the fact that she know me and even know things I don't remember about myself! Like me being a wizard! But, Celestial Spirit Mage huh?

Regardless, I didn't let how her words affected me show on my face.

"Yes, and who's asking?" I replied, prompting her to introduce herself.

"What a tactless reply of a lady of your standing! It's quite understandable, however, considering how you joined a certain rumbustious guild..." She trailed off, giving me a once over.

"Hey lady! That's enough of you! We just wanted to–"

She cut Natsu off which only made me fume more, "My name is Matilda Stone, a benefactor of this Cathedral and a wife of one of the King's advisors... Fairy Tail is such a rumbustious squad aren't they?" She cast a glance at the priest from beside her. "Father Dominique and I only wanted to maintain the Cathedral's new building so I'm hoping you both understand our weariness to let you enter, especially you Salamander. You are known for your destructiveness wherever you go, destroying and leaving the people owning those establishments to fix things by themselves! You mages were given magic but people like me are still more powerful and higher than you so really, I don't have to explain myself to the both of you...Personally, I would like you to go along your way and prevent yourselves from entering the Cathedral's premises..." She finishes.

But what she said at the end really threw me off. "These fairies leaving destruction on their wake...Who did they think they are? They were just commissioned to do jobs by us! Jobs that they rarely do right as the cause of destruction outweighs the deed that they just did! They will be nothing without us as our money kept them fed and have a roof on top of their heads! Especially this guild!" She stopped her rant before continuing, looking down on us, "I'll just have to talk to Herman about once again disbanding them. After all, the palace has more power than that Magic Council full of incompetent fools!"

I clenched my fists at the obvious discrimination she has at me, Natsu, and to this 'Fairy Tail' which I'm sure is important for the dragon slayer beside me if his shaking body and hard expression is anything to go at.

I took a step forward, my other hand squeezing Natsu's shoulder for comfort momentarily before letting go and shielding both him and Happy from their view.

"Who do you think you are?"

"I just said–"

"Who do you think you are, thinking you have the right to judge someone just because you say so? Do you know me?"

"You're Lucy Hea-"

I cut her off, "Yes, you know my name but do you know who I am? Him?" I pointed at Natsu.

"I just said–" She's obviously pissed but I ignored her and continued talking, "No, you don't."

I sighed, calming the boiling feeling inside of me. I shouldn't let my emotions get the best of me because if I did? Then I will be no different from her.

Once I felt calm, I once again turned my attention to her, "Excuse me ma'am, I don't know about you but I'm really amazed by mages who help solve people problems, magic-related or not. To be able to complete those mission, they don't just do it in one snap of a finger. They exert effort, their time, strength, knowledge and skills...Many problems in our country are solved due to their involvement and like how thankful I am to them, you should be too. Destruction can really be avoided but not on some missions. If their life is at risk and they need to fight someone, will they really put the buildings around them as their main priority when in fact what they need to do is to capture someone so that they wouldn't be able to caused chaos on towns? The reward may be rewarding but how can they enjoy it when they're dead?" I breathed out, flashing Happy and Natsu a quick smile before continuing, "And I'm afraid what you are saying regarding my friend here, is all out of the line. I get that Natsu's reckless and a human magnet of trouble most of the time, but he will never intend to destroy anything on purpose. With what you are implying Ma'am, you seem to be so sure about the kind of person he is. You judged him, even without knowing who he is. We don't really want to cause any trouble so if you are so adamant not to let such rumbustious mages like us to go inside the Cathedral and admire it, then we will take our leave. I apologize for disturbing you with our presence." I stated, before turning around to see a surprised Natsu and Happy. I gave them a smile before stepping closer and maneuvering them to walk.

"Come on guys! My tour isn't over yet right?!" I exclaimed, ignoring the now fuming woman and a guilty-looking priest.

"You should not be talking to your elders like that! Where are your manners?! And don't use that tone against me! I am a lady and I should be respected!" Matilda stone voiced out from behind me causing me to stop and glance at her.

"I do not want to cause any trouble here Mrs. Stone. I just want to defend my friend..." I smiled, arm wrapping around Natsu's. He's still quiet, well both him and Happy. I don't know what to make of with their silence but I just ignored it for a moment as I addressed her.

Before she can say anything else, I spoke. "Besides, respect should be earned. I'm not the type to judge a person and I really respect my elders...but with all of the things you said about me and Natsu? Think about it and ask yourself if you deserve to be respected with that kind of attitude." I bowed down at her before dragging the still quiet duo away.

As I walk, the realization of what I had done dawned at me. My grip on Natsu's arm and Happy loosened as I sat down, even in the midst of a busy sidewalk–not minding the stares–and wrap my arms around my legs.

That is so embarrassing! I squeezed eyes shut as my face reddens.

It's not that I was embarrassed of what I said earlier because if given the chance, I will gladly do all of that again to defend a friend!

I am–well, I just realized how I acted protective of Natsu, even going to shield them with my body!

Urgh! Why did I act like that?! But despite thinking like this, I know in myself that I would do that again if given the chance.

"Luce?" I stiffened at the sudden call of my name.

I peek behind the hand I covered my eyes with only to see Natsu crouching down my level with Happy on his shoulder.

Even without seeing what my face looks like, I can feel my eyebrow creased at the grin the duo is sporting.

I eyed them suspiciously, "What are the both of you grinning at?"

"You're so cool, Lushi!" Happy exclaimed before jumping towards me. I yelped as the sudden force caused me to fall on the cemented pavement.

"Cool?" I tilted my head in question, turning to Natsu for answer as Happy kept muttering his Aye's.

The dragon slayer just shot me a sheepish smile, "Yeah, Happy's not wrong. You look cool back there, Luce..."

I blushed, looking away. "Well, I can't let her say things about you guys can I?"

"And for that, thanks. I really appreciate it, right Happy?"

"Aye!"

I smile, "You're welcome!"

Natsu startled me as he suddenly stood and exclaimed, "Yosh!"

Happy flew right by him, out of my hold before perching himself at the top of his hair.

I blinked, dumbfounded at his sudden action, and stared at him, eyes searching his face for answers.

He looked down at me, chuckling as he offered his hand. I grasp his hand and let out a short yelp at the force he used to help me pull up to my feet.

I gave him curious glance, hands patting down my dress to ward off any dust or dirt that clung to it.

He grinned, shrugging. "Well, just like what you said! Your tour's not over yet!"

I felt something gripped my hand and widened my eyes at the realization that I haven't let go of him. I saw him followed my gaze but he only responded by tugging it.

"Come on!" He said before pulling me with him as he ran.

I grinned from behind him, not complaining this time.

Excitement coursed through my veins as I felt the strum of something inside of me flared at the contact.

Not wanting to dwell on it, I pushed my legs to match his pace.

Our eyes met and we both shared a smile, not minding how others might see this sight as an incredulous one.

I'm happy and at peace with him.

The void inside me was being filled, and it warms me up.

ERZA

I strolled through the grounds of Magnolia Southgate Park, wearing a serious expression as I observed my surroundings.

There are no sights of scotch mark that might indicate Natsu's been here but that was a good thing, since that meant he haven't used his magic here and accidentally burned something.

The park is loud due to the people visiting and surveying different booths–even the ones who are not even done yet–for the event designated by the Mayor today for his birthday.

Deeming it appropriate to ask people rather than go much around in circles, I schooled my expression into a calm one when I saw a woman sitting by a bench, patting his dog as it eat his treat.

"Good morning, Ma'am..." I started, smiling in satisfaction when I didn't startle her.

Seeing a glint recognition in her eyes, I walked towards her.

"Erza Scarlet, right? It's uncommon to see you without your team."

From what I remember, I work alone so a team? But considering what we concluded yesterday, I suppose we can't really trust what we remember from now on in caution that they might just be altered memories programmed to us.

A thought suddenly came to mind.

What if only Fairy Tail is affected and other people are not?

Time to test that hypothesis, I suppose.

I looked at her in interest at what she said. "My team?"

She nodded as she suddenly chuckled at shook her head. "Yes, the one with Salamander right? With Gray Fullbuster and the bluenette, Wendy Marvel?" She suddenly frowned, as if remembering something.

Seeing as she's not finished yet, I waited.

But what she said only backed-up Natsu's claim. We should really find him and get answers fast.

"Oh! The Celestial Wizard!"

I clenched my fist as I schooled my expression once again.

I suddenly felt frustrated and I momentarily remembered what Natsu said yesterday before leaving the guild.

He felt useless, powerless at the situation he found himself in. He woke up, only to find that things are different and that someone he holds dear to himself is not only missing, but being even denied of existing. He felt frustrated enough to leave and I can sympathize with him.

Some answers, truth, about our conclusions from yesterday is currently unfolding in front of me and I can't do anything but to listen and find answers as acting out blindly without any form of plan will just leave us vulnerable to the perpetrators of this memory altering fiasco–not that we're not at a disadvantage already seeing as we somehow fell into their traps and became like this.

And it really is frustrating.

"Now that I think about it, I think I saw them running around here earlier, playing with kids! Honestly, they really looked good together..."I heard the woman mused as I focused on what she said.

I moved and stared at her seriously, the calm demeanor I adapted from earlier fading.

"They were here?! Natsu and who? Who is with him?" I questioned, tone decreasing when I saw that I startled her.

"Lucy Heartfilia. They were joined by hips ever since she joined right? It's not uncommon to see them together but you probably know that since she's your teammate."

Lucy Heartfilia? Does this mean Natsu found her?! I cursed.

We really need to find them as soon as possible!

Where are you, Natsu?! With us still running blindly, being apart is not a good option. Damn, we don't even know who and if our enemies are watching us even now!

Out of all those times you accidentally made something explode, this should be the perfect time for it as that will help to locate you both!

Bidding the woman a quick farewell, I took out my communication lacrima.

I ignored the curious and different questions they asked me as I interrupted them. "Listen, it seems like Natsu found Lucy and is with him. Be observant to your surroundings, we really need to find them both now."

"Damn, way to go Flamebrain! That's one less worry for us, I guess. For the most part, there's nothing in my side so I'm joining Juvia on hers. Juvia, you hear me? I'm just gonna go to you, don't wait for me and just keep searching." Gray said before the sound of running was heard.

"Juvia understands Gray-sama and is excited to be together with him! As for an update, Juvia got nothing as the people Juvia asked haven't seen Natsu-san. But Juvia will keep searching!"

"Same here, but I'll try searching a different area. I'm heading to Kardia Cathedral now..." Mira announced.

"I surveyed the North and even went down to ask for any clues on Natsu-san's whereabouts but Charle and I got nothing. I think I'm going to join Mira-san near Kardia Cathedral as it was closer to us. If that's okay Erza-san? Mira-san?" Wendy asked and I smiled, eyes still roaming my surroundings for any signs of salmon locks.

"I'll wait for you Wendy!" Mira cheerfully answered.

"It's alright, Wendy. I'm finished here in the South and as much as I want to discuss the things that I found, we should move on. I am going to join you as well Mira..." I informed before speeding up.

Magnolia is smaller than Crocus but it's not small. Over the years of destruction and renovations, the town has expanded.

Businesses bloom as the population grew so its was quite understandable that we still have to exert effort in our search.

A few minutes passed by and a satisfied smile made it way into my face when I saw the view of one of Magnolia's distinctive landmarks, Kardia Cathedral.

NATSU

"That was delicious!" I exclaimed, body slumped into one of the benches outside of a ice cream parlour.

"Yes it is, though I'm curious as to why you brought me here Mr. Tour guide... You're just hungry aren't you?" Lucy pointedly looked at me, humor visible in her eyes and a small smile curved on her lips–not that I'm looking at it! Nope! Definitely not a weirdo–as Lucy filled that role very well. Though that thought does not seem as strange as it was before I understood what the implication of having this feelings are.

I looked away, whistling as a response to her accusation.

I admit that I'm hungry but I also wanted to show her one of our favourite stores here in Magnolia!

"You loved this shop for its ice cream, Luce...And seeing as that's your third order of the strawberry-vanilla one, I'd say I'm right and you enjoyed it!" I snickered at the obvious flush her face adorned.

"I can't help it! They were delicious! And like you're one to talk, seeing as you ordered thrice of their mint chocolate, double of their double Dutch and Cinnamon-basil ice cream! Happy even repeatedly ordered the salmon flavored one many times!" She huffed.

"But you say I loved this shop? Did we frequent here Natsu?" She followed as I sat up straight.

Time for some reminiscing huh?

"Yeah, since it's close to Strawberry St., we often passed by it whenever we accompany you back to your apartment. It's all because of you that we ate here really. One day, a few years back, you were complaining how sweaty and hot you are as you consistently shot me a glare grumbling about the heat I'm emitting which is weird for you to say! Of course I'm hot, I'm a fire dragon slayer remember?" I dropped the accusing tone that I used as a grin replaced it when I heard her giggle.

"You kept running away from me and Happy, like you were determined to maintain a few meters away from us. We were aware of what you're doing but we took it as a game or challenge of some sort. You ran away from us, we chase you. I remember you breathing pretty hard, tired from the chase and the heat and that's when you noticed this shop. You went inside and we followed you! The rest is history and here we are now!" I finishes, stare now transfixed on her ice cream.

She was about to say something when she caught my stare, looking at me then at her treat suspiciously. I gave her a cheeky grin, mustering to shot her an innocent smile. I smirked as she moves to shield her ice cream with her body.

"Really, Natsu? But you just finished yours! Stay away from mine!" She pouted.

"Alright fineee..." I drawled out before looking at her expectantly.

"So, what do you want to know? We can rest here for a while before going to our next stop which you really have to be excited about!"

"Hmmm...okay, though as a side note, how can I be excited when you don't even give me clues on what your plans are!"

"I already told you that's no fun!"

"Fine..."She sighed before she looked down and played with her fingers, obviously deep in thought.

"How about the first time we met? The one you mentioned earlier?"

THIRD PERSON'S POV

"Alright, so me and Happy heard of a rumor that someone known as 'Salamander' is in Hargeon. Thinking that it was Igneel, my dad, we travelled all the way from Magnolia through train..." At the mention of the transportation, his face turned a little green causing the blonde to furrow her brows in confusion, suddenly remembering the same reaction from earlier.

"Natsu..."Lucy called, voice uncertain before continuing, "Do you have motion sickness?"

"Ye-Yeah...All Dragon Slayers have it."

"Aye! And I remembered what Natsu's talking about based from the dream that I had!" Happy intersected, finishing his salmon-flavored ice cream. He looked up to me before continuing, "I got off the train but forgot that Natsu's still in the train and because he was motion sick, he wan not able to get off in time and got stuck, his upper body hanging off the train's window! He rode it a few more times before I was able to talk to the conductor and helped him get off!" Lucy was so amused at the story that she can't help but giggle at it. She turned when she heard grumbling, only to see Natsu looking away, a blush evident on his cheeks.

She outstretched her hand until it reaches his hair and softly caress it. The dragon slayer looked at her in surprise, mouth agape at her action.

She shrugged at the question present on his gaze, "I just wanted to say that it's alright...We all have weakness and if I remember it correctly, mine's have to be spiders! I don't why but I found them creepy with their multiple eyes!"

She seems surprised like how she reacted when she first discovered it, not laughing at him for his unusual sickness.

She's really is Lucy, with or without her memories.

At her implied comfort, he took her hand and held it. He played with it, fingers smoothening through her palms and in between of her fingers. He ignored her stare as he continued the story. "So after getting off, we heard some girls crowding on something. But what really caught our attention is when someone exclaimed 'Salamander'! Excited at the idea of finally finding my dad, we squeeze through the crowd until we get the front row of some sort of a show cause' the guy kept saying cringe-worthy stuff and showing off whatever he had on his face. I don't know but it made those women to go crazy about him! Anyway, so we burst through the crowd, me thinking out loud when I said that he's not Igneel, confusion and disappointment clouding my mood. Seeing as he was not we're looking for, we turned around dejectedly and walked away but was not able to when he approached me, gave me his autograph, got ambushed and beaten up by a bunch of bat shit crazy chicks! That's when I saw you Luce! You sorta appeared from out of nowhere, dunno where you came fromthough... But you told us that the bastard's been using a charm to attract women and we jus saved you!" Lucy listened intently, a part of her in tune with what the Dragon Slayer is talking about.

"You bought us lunch to thank us, and proceeded to explain what the situation from before is all about, thinkin' we don't know anything about it cause' we're not mages...Now that I think about, even when we first met, you really talk a lot hu-Aww Lucy! Geez, calm down...Alright, fine! So after that, we separated ways. We were resting, overseeing the port of Hargeon when we once again heard about the guy–Salamander. Those women were talking about how he's a famous mage blah blah blah and that he's a member of Fairy Tail. Happy and I looked at each other and after a few minutes, we found ourselves racing to the boat's speed, thanks to Happy's max speed! I wasn't able to hear much but then I heard a familiar voice and asked Happy to drop me there. I passed through the wooden roof–well, creating a hole there–and that's when I saw you being held by men. You recognized me but I wasn't able to hold myself when the boat suddenly moved and I fell sick!"

"That's hilarious! So much for a heroic entrance!" Lucy giggled, gaining a pout from the Dragon Slayer as Happy also snickered.

"Aye! That's so lame Natsu!"

He looked at them with betrayal which only made them laughed. "When did the two of you teamed up against me? 2 Vs. 1, hey that's not fair!"

"You didn't hear anything from me when you two teamed up right? That's hypocritical of you, Dragneel..."

"Riighhhtt..." Natsu drawled on, smiling sheepishly at what Lucy has pointed at.

"So? What happens next?" She scooted closer at him. The dragon slayer eyed the decreasing distance between them but didn't say anything and instead leaned back by the arm beside the blonde, moving to turn his head to face her.

"I beat 'em up!" He boasted proudly, before simmering down to smile at the blonde.

"But not without your help of course! Happy told me how you summoned Aquarius and how she swept the boat to the shore! It's hilarious cause' I was told you were the one she's aiming at but the boat got dragged instead! Since the boat 's not moving, I was able to fight them but Man, thinkin' about it...That was years ago! Gah, I feel so old already!" Lucy stayed silent, head suddenly aching. She gripped the hem of her dress as she continue to listen to what Natsu is telling her about.

She looked down avoiding looking at Natsu's side glances. She was thankful that he's distracted and as much as she wanted to comment on his story, she turned to bite her lip instead and contain the throbbing of her head.

"Aye! After that, the Knights came and Natsu–" Happy was cut off when Lucy suddenly gasped.

LUCY

"It's the army!" I heard my voice exclaimed before something gripped my wrist and pulled me towards a direction.

"We gotta get outta here! Gramps would be furious if we got caught! Happy, c'mon!" A voice exclaimed causing me to turn to the source only to find Natsu cackling out like a maniac.

"Aye sir! And imagine what would Erza do!" Happy added, flying beside us.

Natsu grimaced. "We'll be so dead if she finds out–more so if we got caught!"

"Natsu? What is happ–" I tried to say but got cut off by my own voice!

"Why am I getting mixed up in this! I didn't do anything! And hey! Where are you taking me?!"

He glanced at me. "You wanted to join Fairy Tail right?"

I felt myself nod, and a feeling of hope suddenly bubbled inside of me.

It was like seeing the scene all play out of someone's eyes and I can't shake off the feeling that that someone is me.

"Then come along!" A feeling of warmth envelope me as I felt myself smiled brightly.

"Okay!" My voice once again agreed before I felt my body get pulled by him towards what I assume as 'My new adventure'.

"–pulled me with you guys with the promise of joining Fairy Tail. I agreed, running along with you both as the army chased after us..." I finishes, panting as the scene ended. I winced, hand moving to hold my aching head as it continues to throb.

"Lucy?! Are you okay?" I heard Natsu asked as he gripped my shoulders. I nod, still looking down before looking at him, smiling.

"I saw it..." I said as the head ache slowly fades away.

"You saw what?" He tilted his head.

"I saw that scene! I remembered it!" His joy become transparent as his eyes widened and mouth gaped.

"That's great! You hear that Happy?! She remembers it!" I felt him hugged me, chin resting by my neck. The feeling of him embracing me made me grin...But he quickly let go.

I wiped the sudden frown on my face as he looked at me, ecstatic at what happened.

"I'm going to make you remember, Lucy...Count on my word. Everything's going to be fine cause' I'm gonna make sure it will!" He promised, eyes conveying how serious he is. I nod in response, flushing at the intensity of his stare.

"I know, and I believe in you..."

To divert the sudden change of the air between us, I forced myself to remember what he mentioned earlier, taking note of a particular information.

"So Fairy Tail? I've been hearing that since earlier...What exactly is that? Also, I'm a summoner of some sort? And Aquarius? One of the zodiacs?" I asked, leaning back. I shyly tucked some strands of my hair behind my ear, as I looked away at our close proximity.

"Fairy Tail is the name of our guild, our family, your family! Even though we share no blood relations with one another–'cept for Gramps, Laxus, Cana, Gildarts, Mira, Lisanna, Elfman, Bisca, Alzack, Asu–Man, I never even thought that there's too many of 'em!" He ruffled his already mess of a hair–that still looks good to him, mind you–before continuing, "What I want to say is, we got each others back. We are more than just friends and acquaintances cause' like I said, we're a family. A family that laughs and goof around each other on good times, will comfort one another during the hard times and will gladly risk their lives to protect their loved ones! We see past appearances and welcomes everyone, as long as your heart is true. We don't judge a person based on who they are in the past, and instead help them be whole and a version of themselves that they will be proud of! Fairy Tail's one of a kind, I tell ya Luce..." He finishes proudly.

I smiled at his enthusiasm, nodding at what he told me. Fairy Tail's my family huh?

"Being part of Fairy Tail sounds awesome..."

"Well you're already a part of it cause' you're awesome too!"

"Geez stop flattering Lucy, Natsu!" Happy interjected, earning a loud embarrassed response from him.

They started bickering from there. I pouted, not satisfied with his answer. Besides, he forgot my other question about Aquarius and me being a mage!

I clapped my hands, the sound getting their attention. I giggled at their stunned expression, before continuing, "So, I'm a summoner?"

Natsu nodded as Happy once again flew to the store to buy more of his salmon-flavored ice cream. I wonder what that tastes like?

"A Celestial Spirit Mage to be exact..."

"Spirits?"

"You have silver keys that you purchased from magic stores that we've been through...Some are even rewards from our missions! You also have gold keys. These are rare keys that are hard to find and are on of a kind. They are only 12 of them and each can summon spirits of the zodiac...Aquarius, the one you mentioned earlier is one of the them. They're really powerful spirits that lived even from the ancient times...I don't really know about the specifics but that was what I remembered from what you told me. For the most part, Celestial Wizard's relationship with their spirits is binded by the contracts that you form with them."

"So I can open gates to 'summon' spirits from another world? And I have a powerful Zodiac Spirit contracted to me?"

"Yeah, actually you have ten of them..." He answered, voice still light.

LUCY

"Yeah, actually you have ten of them..."

"Ten out of Twelve Zodiac Keys?!" I exclaimed, shocked and amazed to know that I'm contracted with so many Zodiac Spirits.

Suddenly, warmth flared to my side. I looked down and the only thing I can see is my purse.

My eyes widened at a realization, and as if Natsu could read my thoughts, he gave me a nod when I shot a glance his way.

"No way!" I put my purse into my lap, opening it only to see my mother's keys.

Carefully, I plucked them out one by one, holding them gently as I close my hands around them and felt the familiar warmth.

They heated up, as if in tune with my emotions and before I knew it, I embraced them.

Something touched my face. I raised my gaze only to meet Natsu's as his fingers wiped the tears that stream down my cheeks.

I gave him a watery smile, sniffling. "I can't explain it...I don't remember anything but seeing them respond like this, how they warm up...I just–"I chocked, feeling mix emotions inside of me.

He shifted, arm moving to hold the back of my neck before he pulled me into him. I felt him warp his other arm around me as soft-like fur snuggled against my side. Happy.

"It's okay Luce... I'm sure they know how you feel..."

"I wanna meet them..." I mumbled as I felt him nod.

"I know they also want to see you too but using magic can be pretty draining so we have to take it easy..."

I frowned, disappointed. "But, I can help you! You know, practicing your magic until you can do it by yourself...We can even start with Plue!" At his suggestion, I looked at him, hopeful.

"Plue?" And it was as if one of the silver keys responded. "Hi, Plue..." I giggled when it heated up, turning to look at Natsu when he chuckled.

"Seems like someone's excited to see you huh?"

"Yeah..."

I looked up to him when he suddenly stood up, hands outstretched towards me.

"Wanna continue your tour?" I carefully place my keys in my purse before taking his hand and letting him pull me up.

"Let's go!"

MIRA

"Mira-san!" I saw Wendy waved from a distance. I smiled at her, waving back.

She jogged towards me, panting as Charle flopped down the ground, arms cross as she stared right up to her.

"You know you really don't have to run right?"

"I just got excited when I saw Mira-san..." Wendy said, giving me a sheepish smile as she flushed.

Charle 'Hmpp' before turning her back around us to observe her surroundings.

"Are you alright Wendy? Do you want some water? We can find someone who sells it here..." I offered, wanting to do something for her.

She shook her head, long blue pigtails following her movement.

"I'm alright, but thank you for asking!"

"I see, the both of you are already here..." Erza stated, giving us a nod as she neared us.

"So, Erza... Natsu is really with Lucy? He found her?"

"Yes, I don't really know the details but that is why we were conducting this search in the first place right? To find him and get some answers..." I nodded in agreement, and was about to ask them where do we start when a woman suddenly marched right up us.

I moved, slightly stepping forward of Wendy to shield her with my body when I saw the outrage look the woman has. From my peripheral view, I saw Erza do the same.

"You're mages from Fairy Tail right?" I felt my brow twitch at the distain her tone used when she mentioned our guild, but I masked it with a smile.

Erza and I shared a look, her face frowning and serious, in contrast to mine.

"Good morning and yes, we are from Fairy Tail. Is there a problem?" I questioned.

The woman still fumed. "Well yes! Two of your members just disrespected me! That Salamander and especially that Blonde girl!"

"Natsu and Lucy were here?" Erza said, moving closer to the woman who seemed startled at their sudden proximity.

"Y-Yes! And I suggest that you discipline them, especially that girl!" She said before continuing, "My goodness, just what has the world come to?!" She exclaimed, ignoring the priest who's asking her to calm down.

"Why? What did they do?" Erza questioned before I can intercept.

The woman straightened up, sneering at the question. "I am only being a good citizen when I asked them not to enter the Cathedral's premises in case Salamander decided to damage the place again! The blonde suddenly became offended saying I'm judging him by implying he will purposely destroy things! She even has the audacity to lecture me about respect!"

I raised a brow at what she said but didn't say anything as Erza once again took a step forward. "Everyone is free to enter the Cathedral's premises since it was a public place. It is even considered as one of the tourist spot of Magnolia that all have access to..." She thought out loud before turning to the priest who was startled when her attention was given to him.

"Sir, are you with them when this happened?"

"Y-Yes..."

"Is she telling the truth when she asked them not to enter the Cathedral? And is it the only thing she said? No statements that would make Lucy react like she did?"

"Mrs. Stone did asked them not to enter although–" He said with uncertainty, glancing at the glaring woman beside him.

He gulped. "She may have said some things that may count as offensive..." He trailed off, looking away.

"Can I ask what sort of things? I apologize but we just want to have a clear understanding to what happened..." I questioned.

"Uhh...Like stating that mages are below people of her standing and that they will be nothing if not for the money being given to them as a reward for the missions given to them, how destructive Salamander is and his tendency to purposely inflict damage to his surroundings...She also mentioned how she will talk to her husband about disbanding your guild..." He turned to look at the woman, bowing when he caught her gaze. "I apologize Mrs. Stone but Fairy Tail has been in Magnolia for such a long time ever since it was founded and it was well loved by its people. I understand your reluctance of letting them enter the Cathedral's premises as you're one of its benefactors but even I say that you are way out of the line just like what Ms. Heartfilia confronted you about and I agree with her. I just didn't say anything earlier in respect to you and to your help with donations." As he finishes, it took all of my effort not to copy Erza's glare and just settled by clenching my fist.

He turned to us, "And I apologize to you Titania and Miss Strauss for not defending your guild mates and not saying anything about it..." He bowed towards us.

"I understand your reluctance and thank you for telling us what happened..." Erza stated, before her brows furrowed when she considered the still glaring woman.

"I will not tolerate any kind of harassment towards my guild mates for they are not only my friends, they are my family. In any case, I grew up with Natsu Dragneel and while I admit that he's quite the troublemaker, I know that he will not destroy things purposely. . So consider this as a warning Mrs. Stone." She paused before she stated, "Also, I understand that we all have varied opinions about mages, but you should not enforce your beliefs into someone else's because as I said, our opinions, perspectives and beliefs can be different..."

"You're just like t–" She protested but this time, I took a step forward.

I frowned, gaze sharpening as I stared at her. "Do you still have anything to say to us that we haven't considered yet, Mrs. Stone? You see, we are quite busy dealing with important matters..."

She seemed to stutter, "N-none. Nothing..."

I smiled at her before clapping my hands together, "Well then, now that's settled...May ask what direction did they go to?"

"They went to the direction near Strawberry St. but I'm not sure..."

"Thank you for your cooperation. Now then..." Erza bid them goodbye but not without glaring momentarily at the woman. I giggled as I wave at them.

"The woman is so scary..." I heard Wendy whispered to which I just smiled at.

"Yes, she is..." I agreed, patting her hair as she looks up at me.

"But its a good thing we encountered her right? Now we know that Natsu-san and Lucy-san's been he–Wait..." Erza and I stopped.

Wendy observed her surroundings, turning to each direction as she close her eyes and furrowed her brows to what it seems like concentration.

"Wendy? What's wrong?" Charle called out from Wendy's hold.

"I smell Natsu-san, Happy and someone familiar..." She furrowed her brows.

"Really? That's great!" I praised earning a small blush from her when she opened her eyes.

"In what direction Wendy?" Erza questioned, eyes critically eyeing her surroundings.

"Just like what we were told about, it's pointing at the direction of Strawberry St.!"

"That settles it then, come on!" The requip mage called out before running towards the direction Wendy pointed out.

I got a hold of the communication lacrima Erza distributed.

"Gray, Juvia. Head by Strawberry St. Wendy smelled Natsu, Happy and someone else's scent coming towards it!"

"Roger, Mira. Huh, got ya ash tray! We'll head there right now!" Gray replied as I turn it off and catched up Erza and Wendy's pace.

We're coming Natsu, Happy and Lucy!

NATSU

"Natsu? I thought you have motion sickness?" I heard Lucy questioned from where she sat on the boat.

"Y-Yeah but don't worry Luce! I have a plan!" I promised, grinning at her before sharing a glance with Happy.

She still looked uncertain but nodded. "If you say so..."

"Hey Mister! Just don't rock the boat too much alright?" I told the boat man who smirked at me.

"Have some faith kid! And besides, I occasionally see this young lady over here walking by the river! And you whenever you accompany her...Even called out for her to be careful everytime!" He exclaimed. He eyed my guilmark, "You're both Fairy Tail mages right? Well then, consider this boat ride free! I gotta admit, when this blue cat informed me of what you planned, I was skeptical. I don't really give boat rides but since he mentioned you guys and showed his guild mark, I agreed." I grinned at him.

"Thanks! Hear that Luce? It's free!"

"Are you sure sir? I'm sure this will be an inconvenience for you without any compensation..." Lucy questioned to which the man only shook off, chuckling.

"It's no trouble really! I still remember when Fairy Tail helped me and my wife about some thugs harassing our business! Just think of this as a payback!"

"You ready Happy?" Happy only grinned at me before activating his Aera. He took ahold of my coat and carried me.

"Hey! Why aren't you getting on?" Lucy shouted from below us. I laughed at her expression and saluted.

"I'm not getting on that death trap!" I yelled, cupping my mouth with both of my hands. "Just get ready to be surprised! Old man, I'm counting on ya!"

And from my place up high, I watched the boat moved with Lucy glancing at us every now and then.

"Happy!"

"Aye sir!" Happy flew another altitude. I shielded my eyes as I looked at the sun and at Lucy from below. I smirked, hand gripping the container that I asked Happy to get as I distracted Lucy, in his way from asking the man a favor.

"Now Happy!"

LUCY

"Where are they?!" I shielded my eyes from the sun to look up, searching Natsu and Happy's whereabouts.

"You don't have to worry about them Miss! This is all a part of that young man's plan to surprise you..." The man said as he used the oar to proper the boat forward.

I frowned at what he said, "You're in on it too?"

"Yeah, and man, that kid's idea is strange but I'm sure you'll love it..."

"You think so?" I mumbled, eyes staring at the different infrastructures that we passed by. I'm amazed by how they were made but it was overcome by my thoughts of Natsu and Happy's surprise.

I set my guard up when something passed by us from the sky.

I widened my eyes at how Happy carried Natsu, laughing as he strikes different poses.

He then flew up high once again before flying by the river. I groaned in frustration when he scooped up some water in a container.

He grinned at me when he caught my gaze but I just gave him an unimpressed look.

"Natsu whatever you planned to do, don't do–" With the water in his hands, he flew high then moved around us and throw the container upwards, causing the water he hauled to fall down.

A sudden warming of the temperature caught my attention and I looked up to see mist-like cloud on top of us known to form only when water is heated.

It fell from the top and I was astonished at the sight that I saw.

It was beautiful.

Sunlight passed through the water droplets from Natsu's haul, creating mesmerizing rainbow colors as the light is refracted by the water.

Suddenly, the headache that I experienced earlier came back. I groaned, curling to myself as my hands held my head.

My eyes opened at the loud chattering from outside of my apartment. I moved to get up only to see myself wrap into my pink comforter.

I felt myself cough, sniffling as I groaned at the sudden weight I exerted on my leg. I took a step forward, followed by another until I reached my window.

I furrowed by brows before my body moved to opened it.

And what I saw almost took my breath away.

Right down the river, floating on a boat is a rainbow sakura tree, mesmerizing anyone with its sight.

I felt myself leaned by the window sill, smiling brightly as a thought passed through my mind.

"Thank you Natsu and Happy..."

"Lucy?! Luce, are you okay?! What happened?!" I stared up at Natsu, who was hovering by the boat.

I smiled at him, hand reaching out that he held with his.

"I never got to thank you both for showing me the Rainbow Sakura, Natsu, Happy..." I smiled at them as theur eyes widened.

"You remembered?!"

"My plan worked!" At their simultaneous reaction, they looked at ech other before seemingly paling.

"Uhh–No idea what you're talking about Lucy..."

"Aye, definitely cluess..." They responded, both looking away from me.

I giggled at their antics before standing up causing Natsu to let go of my hand.

"Come closer, the both of you..."

"Huh?"

"Why?!"

"Just come closer! No questions!"

When they're within reach, I jumped to wrap my around the both of them, ignoring how they panicked when the boat slightly dipped from the side.

"Thank you both for doing this to me...I really love it!" I said, leaning back to see their faces but still with my arms around them.

I ruffled Happy's fur and leaned towards Natsu.

"Thank you, really..." And I kissed his cheek.

I fully leaned back, giggling when the boat moved. When I got my balance, I looked at them.

Happy's snickering while he looks at Natsu whose cheeks are flushed. From my place, I can see how red his ear is and I can only giggle at how adorable he is.

"You got me worried for a while there Miss...Though as much as I support your relationship, want me to let you down the boat now Miss?" The man–which I forgot that was there, sorry!–interrupted.

Flushing, I sat down looking away. "Y-yes, I would like that. Thank you..."

"Y-yeah, we'll wait for you by your apartment Luce! See ya!"

NATSU

"I know Happy, just don't say a word for now..." I grumbled out as the still snickering exceed fluttered up and down in front of me.

"But I'm not saying anything~" He teased.

"But I know you want to! And stop with the stares!" I touched my cheek, still feeling the remnants of the way her lips pressed against it.

"Natsu, are you aware that you're blushinggg? Kukuku"

"Happy!"

"But I can't help it! This is the first time I saw you blush 'cause a girl's beak touched your cheek!"

"That's not a beak Happy! It's her lips! And she's not just any girl! She's Lucy!"

"I know, I'm just teasing you...Don't be such a kill-joy Natsu!"

I ignored him, grinning triumphantly when I heard him sigh. "Fineee I won't tease you anymore! But I just wanna know...since you're already aware of your feelings, shouldn't you do something about it?"

"Gah! I know I planned to show how I felt about her but I was not ready! I just wanted to remind her of that moment I told you about earlier–since you still don't remember it–And I succeeded! She remembered but that sneak attack of hers caught me off guard!" I rambled on, ignoring Happy's amused stare.

"You're thinking too hard Natsu..."

"Oh yeah? Like you don't do it with Charle?" I shor back.

Happy huffed, "Alright, you got a point. I won't really tease you anymore...But seriously, you don't have to think hard about things like this. Just be happy that she kissed you, enjoy the moment!"

"Huh, you're right...thanks buddy!"

From a distance, I heard Lucy's footsteps so I got myself together to act normal.

"Over here Lucy!" I watch her smile before running up to us, dress fluttering in her every move. Strands of her hair looked gold-like as the sun's rays shines on it.

She looks beautiful...

I gulped when she reached us, panting slightly. I mustered a grin to show her, despite the slight flush I'm aware that resided on my cheeks.

"So did you enjoyed what we planned?"

"Yeah, it was really beautiful! And with the help from the both of you, I also remembered some things!"

"But this is not the end–" I stopped when something in the air caught my attention.

"Lucy, do you trust me?" I questioned her, eyes nervously roaming around our surroundings.

Damn it! I definitely smelled Erza's scent!

I closed my eyes to focus on her exact location and cursed under my breath when I also smelled Ice princess, Juvia, Mira, Charle and Wendy!

What are they doing here?!

"Natsu?" Lucy's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

I looked at her expectantly only to flash her a wide grin when I saw her nod.

"Yes, I trust you…" She smiled.

"Well better hold onto that trust Luce! Cause' I'm touring you around Magnolia, fast-paced edition!" I exclaimed, before pulling her to run.

"NATSU DRAGNEEL!" I heard Erza's voice from a distance causing my speed to increase.

Hell, you're not gonna get me you devil woman! And besides... I looked at Lucy.

As much as I would like to stop and let you guys meet her, I'm sure you'll just drag us off to the guild...

From what Loke said, it seems like the guild was being monitored...And the only place I know that almost no one know is my place!

I'm not even sure if were being watched right now due to the ruckus we started–not that I considered it earlier...

Though admittedly, a part of me wanted to spend the day with Lucy with no interruption or reminders of our situation. I know its selfish of me but can't I really just spend 1 day with her?!

But based from what I'm doing so far, my reason is mostly the latter one.

I turned into an alley, shifting to carry Lucy with my arms, bridal style as piggy back ride would not work since she's wearing a dress.

"Hold tight, Luce!" I grinned at her before calling out to Happy to carry us.

"Are we being followed?" Lucy asked.

"Yeah, but it's alright I guess... They're our friends!"

"If that's the case, why are we running?!"

"They ran after us first! My first response is just to run so I just need to suck it up and try to avoid Erza's wrath!"

"Erza?"

"Yeah, the demon lady! She's with Mira, Ice princess, Juvia, Wendy and Charle! Darn, the whole team's here huh! You okay Happy?"

"Aye! Wendy is catching up because of Charle while Erza's terrifying with her Flight Armour!"

"Damn, I can hear popsicles taunts from here and Juvia! Mira's also catching up using her Satan Soul! We gotta speed up buddy!"

"Aye sir! Max Speed! "

GRAY

"Why the hell is that pyro running away from us?!" I gritted out while sliding through the cobblestone pavements with my ice. I know that it won't be an inconvenience since my ice will melt the longer the distance between us.

Juvia kept her pace as she run alongside me. From above us, Erza's lessening the distance between her and pyro using her flight armour, Mira's Satan Soul is just seconds away. Wendy and Charle is catching up to them with Wendy blasting them with her breath attack.

"Juvia is not sure either but Juvia is certain that whatever Natsu-san's decision is, it is without any ill intent." At Juvia's statement, I looked at her.

She caught my stare. "Why is gray-sama staring at Juvia like that?" She blushed at the attention.

"Nah, It's just you're right...That bastard may annoy the crap out of me, but I know that he has a reason for doing this..."

"Gray, Juvia! Pick up the pace!" Erza yelled. I turned to look at them and cursed when I saw that me and Juvia slowed down as we talk and that they were way ahead of us.

"Juvia! Want to speed things up?" I tilted my head towards the canal that we just passed by. I smirked when she widened her eyes then nodded vigorously.

Juvia then ran towards the uplifted cobblestone near the canal. I was still looking at her as I let my ice guide me forward, thank goodness most of the townspeople are in Southgate Park for an event, otherwise it'll be really hard to do things like this.

She looked at me, ocean deep colored eyes expressive and something in me felt like I'm looking at a serene and beautiful ocean from a distance. The temperature and her run made her usual pale face flushed as she readied herself to jump.

I was about to turn away when she did something that made my heart leaped.

She smiled at me, turning around to jump but not before winking at my direction!

Who would've thought Juvia can do something like that?

And...

Who would've thought how much her smile and wink has this effect on me?!

I scowled, focusing my attention on my speed as I tried to mask my already heating up face at a thought that passed my mind.

She's breathtaking...

THIRD PERSON'S POV

Juvia closed her eyes as she concentrated to manipulate her element. Her body is submerged in the water making it easier for it to follow her command to rise. She raised her hand, the willing body of water followed it before she extended it in the direction of her other guild mates. She opened her eyes, gaze easily finding her love.

"Gray-sama!" She alerted before proceeding to giving the raven-haired water in his way to be turned into ice.

"On it!" Gray exclaimed, water turning to ice as he stepped on them until it guides him to the top of the makeshift slide.

Once he reached it, he put his hand inside to get a hold of Juvia's arm before she pulled her towards her. She landed by his chest, weight being catch by crouched legs as both of his hands touched the water.

"Ice-make: Floor!" Gray chanted as the water turned to ice. He created a block of ice that resembles a surfing board before smirking down at the water mage in his arms.

"Hold tight!" Juvia nodded, elated at the feeling of her beloved carrying her. She put her arms around his neck while Gray tightened his hold on her back and the back of her knees as his ice slides down the ramp.

Their increasing speed assisted their momentum causing the board to fly right ahead of her guild mates. Gray then disintegrates his ice as Juvia leaned forward, arms stretched forward them.

"Water Bubbles!"

"Water Lock!" Small bubble containing oxygen surrounded Gray's head as a dome of water surrounds them both, safely making their land near their guild mates when the dome seemingly popped. Juvia waved her hand, water water droplets from her attack following as she willed them in her hands. Gray's drenched clothes when the Water Bubble dissolved became dry as the water group themselves together in Juvia's hands. When the bluenette is sure that she has collected it all, she manipulated it to go back to the canal.

Gray looked at the woman in his hold in awe. When he thought of his plan, he never did consider how they would land so seeing the bluenette make a wise decision in a very short amount of time amazed him.

"That was amazing Juvia..." The said mage blushed.

"T-Thank you..." The water mage murmured, earning a smile in return. Gray picked up their pace, matching Erza's and Mira's.

"That teamwork is impressive..." Erza praised before once again focusing on chasing a certain fiery Dragon Slayer.

"I know I'm gonna see something interesting!"G Mira giggled in her Satan form before acknowledging her fellow guild member, "You seem to be enjoying yourself, Juvia!" She teased.

"Smiling while you're in that form is scary, Mira!" Gray exclaimed, tightening his hold on Juvia and effectively ignoring the Take-over Mage's statement...Juvia however, did not.

Juvia squealed in delight, smiling brightly at the barmaid. "Juvia loved to be in Gray-sama's hold! Juvia is so happy!"

What everyone is expecting is Gray's action is different from what he did as he chuckled.

"Now, don't move too much or else you'll fall..." He stated causing the dumbstruck bluenette to blushed, hearts almost forming in her eyes as modded and stayed still.

Erza, in her seriousness can't help but smile at this. Wendy blushed, feeling like she was intruding somehow to a private moment as Mira squealed.

LUCY

"That's the Heart Kreuz Store you absolutely love to go, over there is the shop that sells the best fire chicken and one of those who didn't ban me from entering their restaurants! Anyway, that road on our right leads to the City Library which you like to spend time on and consistently drag me and Happy off when you see us just 'lazing around' your apartment as you quote it, that tall building over there is Magnolia's Train Station which we go to whenever we took missions but I figured you know it by now since that's where you arrived at with Loke right? Anyways–Hmmmp!"

"NATSU STOP!" I exclaimed, covering his mouth with my palms.

He furrowed his brows, looking down at me in question. His spiky hair whips by the wind as we passed through its space.

I huffed, wiping my hand on my dress. "Why are you talking about as if we're still in a tour and you're touring me?! Aren't we being chased?!" I cast a glance at the people a couple of meters behind us. Sure, Happy's speed is impressive, but every once in a while, Natsu would blast fire from his feet to speed our pace some more.

They sure are catching up, especially the Scarlet haired woman and a–wait! That's just like Happy! And she's carrying a bluenette?

I don't really sense any animosity about them, maybe because Natsu told me earlier that they're his friends?

"Eh? Well, I'm touring you right now! Isn't it obvious?"

"How can you do that when we're being chased?!"

"Relax~Geez Lucy, I thought you said you trust me?"

Lucy spluttered, "Of course! I know what I said but this is just all confusing!"

"You don't hafta worry, just sit still, look pretty and let me do the hard work! A'right?" He smirked then winked at me.

He SMIRKED and WINKED AT ME!

That surely shut me up.

NATSU

"You doing okay there buddy?!"

"Aye! But Max speed won't last long Natsu! We have to think of a plan!"

"Just give a sec. Happy! I'm gonna think of something!" I promised, momentarily looking down at the pouting blonde in my arms.

"You okay there Luce. Sorry if your tour got cut off like this..."

"Don't mind me because even if it got cut off, I really enjoyed myself. Besides, I'll trust your decision regarding this chasing situation...So, I'm just gonna sit still and look pretty okay?" She stated, snickering at whatever she saw on my face. Lucy then nestled herself snuggly against me. I felt myself redden when she said my words from earlier, before shaking my head to get rid of it for now. I have to think of a plan!

Erza would surely beat me up first from running before letting me explain, Underwear Prince will just instigate a fight with me which I'll surely reciprocate cause' come on! I'm not letting that bastard win! Mira will probably ask questions...and while I can handle that, I'm sure most of it will be about the relationship about Lucy and I rather than why I even ran away in the first place. Juvia would say nothing even if she's curious, prompting someone to tell a story on their own pace...

Wendy will–wait...I have an idea!

"Wendy? Can you hear me?" I questioned, pausing as I wait for her response.

"Natsu-san?" I heard her voice stated causing me to grin. This will work!

"Listen. I'm gonna tell you something and once I finish, I want you to stop the others and relay my message alright?"

"But Nat–"

"Trust me..."

"O-Okay... " She answered, voice uncertain.

"Relax, promise it's going to solve this whole chasing thing...So here's the thing, I want you guys to stop chasing us and instead leave on your separate ways to go to my house by the woods. Make sure no one's watching you alright? I'm gonna meet you all there and from there, I'll explain everything..."

"I understand! I'm now going to tell the others! See you!" I chuckled at her response before grinning when I heard her and told everyone else to stop.

"Wow! That's so smart of you Natsu!" Happy praised.

"That's because I'm awesome Happy!"

"Aandd there he goes again~" I laughed at Lucy's quipped.

"It seems like your tour's not over yet huh, Luce?"

"What do you mean?"

"We're going to mine and Happy's house!" I exclaimed, excited before it simmers down, brows furrowed as I looked at her.

"You want to go to our house right, Luce?" I asked, voice uncertain as I consider her.

I felt Happy lowered us down the street, disabling his Aera before flopping down my head. Lucy tapped my hand holding her, wanting to be let down and I obliged.

She stretched before looking around her. She looked at us, walking down a certain direction. When she felt we're not moving, she looked back at us, head tilted in question.

I saw understanding in her eyes as she smiles. She outstretched her hand towards us.

"I thought you're touring me on your house? Come on!"

I brightened up, jogging towards her before taking her hand.

"Come on!" I still need to loose whoever's watching us–not that there is one but we have to be careful. I was reminded of our situation when I saw Erza and the others and as much as I like to be selfish for just this day, I can't–

"So this is where you're hiding, Lucy Heartfilia?" A voice muttered, chuckling. I snap my attention to its direction only to see a man jumping out of sight, probably somewhere not visible and where he can see us.

We're being followed?! Why did I just notice it just now?!

Shit, it was because Iwas preoccupied earlier with running away.

I furrowed my brows in concentration. But I'm sure there's nothing earlier so that leaves one thing, he was following Erza and the others...

And that led him to us, to Lucy! I cursed.

Lucy and Happy's with me so I can't go after him! Damn it!

"You okay, Natsu?" I tightened my hold on her hand before shaking my head, eyes now carefully watching my surroundings.

"No, it's nothing!" A plan now formulated in my head.

WENDY

"Charle! I need you to stop!" I told her, looking up to her as we passed down a chimney.

Me and Charle are flying like Mira-san whereas Erza-san is leaping roof by roof with her Flight armour. Gray-san is still carrying Juvia-san as he slide through his ice.

"Why? Does it have something to do with what Natsu told you about? How can you be so sure that he's telling the truth?"

"I believe him! I trust him, so I'm asking you to trust me too!" I smiled triumphantly when I saw her sigh before slowing down and landing on a flat surface on a building's rooftop.

"Thank you Charle!" I exclaimed, hugging her when she deactivated her Aera.

"Remember, I just don't want you to get hurt..." She stated, looking at me as if she knows something. I was about to ask her when Erza-san's voice stopped me.

"Wendy? What's wrong? Is everything alright?" She questioned, halting her pursuing to stand in front of me. The others also followed, Gray-san putting Juvia-san down to walk towards me.

I fidgeted under their stare before breathing out, determination fueling me.

Natsu-san trusted me to tell them this and I will!

"Natsu-san talked to me and he told me to tell you this..."

THIRD PERSON'S POV

"Any updates?" Khora asked as she passed through her gate. Farris and Gaian looked at her, uncertainty visible on Gaian's face.

"Why? What happened?" She questioned as a groan resounded nearby.

"Ask this nuisance..."Farris stated, roughly pushing a man in front of her. The beat up man grovelled on her feet, body shaking as he tried to hold himself up.

Khora crouched in front of him, hand gripping his chin to make him look at her.

"What happened?"

"Ms. Khora! F-Forgive my incompetence!" The man whimpered as she tightened her hold.

"That's not what I'm asking right? Answer my question!"

"H-he saw Natsu Dragneel leaving Fairy Tail yesterday. As a person in charge that day, he had the power to command the others to go after him but he thought to make nothing of it, saying without any memories, Salamander won't accomplish anything..."Gaian answered for him, causing Farris to glare at her brother for interfering.

Khora pushed the man down as she stood up, observing him.

"Tell me, have you already killed someone? Be honest and I might reconsider your life..." The man looked up at her, blood on his face.

"I-I have! I once led an extermination of a v-village under Master's orders! I w-was *coughed* promoted landing me this p-position..." He answered, still looking up to her, hopeful for his life.

Khora gritted her teeth.

So he's already tainted then? She thought.

If he didn't killed anybody, I might've let him off with a punishment or imprisonment on Master's dungeon but he did kill someone...And not just one person, but a village?

"Here I was hoping you say you haven't killed anyone..." She sighed, ignoring the frantic pleas of the man.

Khora snapped her fingers as she looked away.

He's going to die anyway, might as well on my way as Master's punishment involves torture, wanting his victims to beg for death itself.

She felt him passed through her portal, his screams and wails surrounds them as it closes behind him.

"I can't believe you're this soft, Gayle..." Farris stated crossing her arms.

Khora chuckled, "Only with those like us, Ms. Thorne..." They both stared at each other, before letting out a laugh as they hugged. They were close friends–the three of them actually–only acting estrange whenever they're with someone else.

"How are you? We went to the base immediately when we saw each other yesterday that I haven't got the chance to talk to you...When we got here, we even took care of some things including the report of Salamander leaving his guild so yeah, we've been very busy..."

"Still alive and kicking, I guess...I've been all over Acalypha and Hargeon, searching for that blonde summoner but got nothing aside from coming up that they're heading in Magnolia."

"How about you Gaian? Are you alright? You seem pretty shaken about what happened yesterday..."

"I'm alright, thanks for asking... I was just worried about my sister." Gaian replied, casting her sister a glance.

"Well, I'm glad that you're both alright...So, anything else that I should know about?"

"For one, Marcus is here..." At that, Khora's gaze sharpened. Gaian took a step forward but was stopped by Farris putting her hand on his shoulder, shaking her head.

"Why is that damn bastard's here?! I told him I got this, I can take care of this! But nooo, here he is!"

"Master commanded him to go he–" Gaian was cut off by Khora and Farris's glare. He gulped.

"I don't care! If he want to, he can disobey that command without any consequences! That bastard will get it when I saw him!"

At her friend's rant, Farris can only chuckle. "Now, now...Calm down. He's already here, nothing we can do about this now. You know how stubborn he is..."

"I know!" She sighed, thumb and forefinger massaging her temple because of an incoming headache.

"Aside from that bad news, anything else?"

"Well, eight fairies went out of their guild this morning... suspiciously may I add. Five of them went in the same direction while the other three went in the opposite. They also went out separately. I deemed it nothing to worry about as Gaian told me that his spell is still intact and that they still don't remember anything..."

"But Farris, didn't I just kill a man for doing the exact same thing? You said it yourself, it was suspicious! Even with no memories, we still need to be aware of what are their doing... Besides, master told us yesterday that he felt the connection between him and the spell weaken!"

The said mage smirked, "Well then, I guess it's a good call to ask Marcus to go after them huh? Even with minutes of interval, I'm sure he'll get something..."

Meanwhile, somewhere in Magnolia

A figure was perched on top of Kardia Cathedral, eyes looking down at its citizens.

He smirked, remembering the group of five chasing after a trio...although his attention mostly focuses on the blonde one.

He chuckled, remembering how he stalked the trio from a far. He may have been too focused on following them that he didn't notice the Dragon Slayer picking up his movements–what he said, even from a far.

He underestimated a Dragon Slayer's senses...

Natsu Dragneel...You're something else. He mused, remembering the sharp onyx eyes glancing on his direction every now and then, even after concealing his prescence. He remember the slayer crounching down, saying something to the cat that he's with before a smoke filled the place where he last seen them. As the smoke dissipates, they were gone.

He gripped the handle of his beloved axe. "I can't wait to use this on you, Salamander..."

Another concern piqued his interest and he laughed maniacally.

So the fairies are slowly remembering huh? Even without coming close, he can see that they already know something's up.

They shouldn't really be underestimated...

And the star child Master's been looking for is in the very city of her guild!

Oh, he will be thrilled to know about this for sure...

Meanwhile in Fairy Tail

"Where the heck is everybody? Erza, Mira and the others aren't here! Even Levy, Cana, Lily and Gajeel!" Macao exclaimed, banging his mug of whisky down the counter.

"Hey Lisanna, did Mira-chan said something?" Wakaba questioned before inhaling from his pipe.

"Mira-neesan didn't mention anything...I just noticed them by the bar earlier, talking about finding Natsu?"

"Why? Is Natsu-nii missing? But he just got out of the coma yesterday!" Romeo asked, worried of his idol getting hurt.

"Natsu's a man! He can take of himself!" Elfman exclaimed from his place near Alzack and Bisca's table.

"But Macao's right...I felt that something is going on. I just don't know what..." Bisca trailed off, Alzack agreeing with her.

"Or it can be because of someone named Lucy yesterday?" Laki added.

"Hmm...Whatever it is, something is really not right..."Lisanna murmured.

The silence that enveloped the guild was suddenly broken as Fairy Tail's large doors was opened.

"Lucy-san! I need to see Lucy-san!" Yukino exclaimed as soon as she entered the guild's premises.

"Relax Yuki...As a side note though, where is Natsu-san! I want to show his some new moves!" Sting followed, eyes roaming expectantly at the stunned mages.

"Calm down the both of you! I need to remind you that we're not in our guild..." Rogue sighed at the antics of his fellow guildmates and friends.

"Sabertooth?" Kinana mouthed at Lisanna to which she just nodded at.

"Welcome! How may we help you Yukino, Sting and Rogue?" Lisanna smiled, greeting at them.

"Lisanna-san! I need to talk to Lucy-san! I have something important to tell her!" The Celestial Mage questioned, looking at the youngest Strauss expectantly.

Lisanna looked at her, confused. "Lucy? Who is Lucy? We don't have any guild member with that name..."

At what she said, the three Sabertooth members looked at each other, before exclaiming their reactions.

"What?"

"What does that mean? I mean we're in the right place right? We're in Fairy Tail?!"

"What do you mean by that?"

@NaLu1411: Thank you for you review! Erza and the others don't know where Lucy is yet last chapter and who she is–though they are slowly remembering her...They will soon meet each other again, formally as they didn't have the chance to meet her in this chapter as they were busy either running away or chasing after the trio. I assure you they will all meet each other and when that happens, I would love to read your thoughts!

@NaLu is CANON: Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I'm excited to hear from you since from what you reviewed last chapter, you mentioned about Erza finally finding/catching Natsu...She found him in this chapter–Well, her and the others, but didn't 'catch' him but they will–spoilers!–finally reunite next chapter!

Again, thank you for your reviews!

And that's that! Thank you for those who reviewed and to those who followed!
