Everyone remembers the terrible historic day. The day Thor, The god of thunder, the king of Asgard, a founding avenger and original hero died. His final battle was a fight against Galactus; while he won, he was too injured to continue. So with all the power he still had in him, he summoned the Bifrost and transported himself to New Asguard, Norway where he wished to die.
Before he did die however he did one final thing. He brought Stormbreaker close to him and spoke into it " Whosoever holds this hammer, if they be worthy, shall possess the power of thor, and become ruler of New Asguard. "
He did this in front of all his subjects for all to hear before lifting the hammer and giving it one final throw with all his might bringing not just the end of an era but the end to the Avengers as well being the last of the first-ever group of heroes to an end.
The hammer flew around the world a few times before landing in the middle of musutafu park in japan much to everyone's shock. After the news of thors death and the hammer landing, the world decided to hold a giant ceremony at the hammer's location with the Einherjar guarding the hammer and Valkyrie being the temporary ruler of New Asguard being there as well to oversee people's attempt to lift the hammer which she didn't believe would happen. After all, the hammer was very picky with who was worthy and she didn't see any Captain America's in the celebration.
After all of that, the Asgardians planted a new world tree by the hammer in honor of Thor, and with that everything came to a close. There would always be at least one Asgardian on guard by the hammer in case someone lifted it and sometimes schools would take a field trip to the park so the kids could try and lift the hammer which was more in good fun than to see if they could actually do it but soon people were hoping for a worthy successor.
A few years later the first incident was in Qing Qing City, China when an extraordinary child was born who radiated light. After that, reports of people with superpowers popped up across the globe. No one knew what was causing these Quirks but before long, the supernatural became the totally normal. Dreams became reality. The world became a superhuman society with about 80% of the population possessing some uncanny ability. The streets looked like scenes from comic books. The city's swirled with chaos and confusion, and a new profession dominated the collective consciousness. It became a world of heroes and villains.
Even with the world being filled with heroes no one could lift the hammer not even All Might the number one hero in Japan. When this happened everyone was shocked even the Asgardians. The whole world was positive that at least he could lift it because if he couldn't then who could? That question would be answered sooner than some people thought.
March 2364
It was the last day of school this year for Aldera Elementry and the kids were about to have an end-of-the-year field trip to the park for pictures with Thor's hammer and the new recently fully grown Yggdrasill tree that was so big that the leaves covered the entire park in a shadow which now required some lighting because the sun no longer shone through the leaves.
Every student was going to the park including the bright-eyed broccoli-haired cinnamon roll Izuku Midoriya or Deku as everyone in his class called him to tease and mock him but no amount of bullying could tear the giant smile from his face. After all, he was going to see and touch the weapon of one of the most powerful heroes in history as well as his second favorite hero after All Might.
"All right kids I want you all to get up and stand in single file while we wait to leave the bus." their teacher said.
"Wow, I can't wait to see Stormbreaker! I wonder if anyone will lift it. What about you Kacchan?"
"Obviously someone will be able to lift it Deku that person being me. No one here is even half as worthy as I am to lift the hammer. So not only will I be The number one hero but I'll be a king as well. That's just how awesome I am."
"But Kacchan what if someone else lifts the hammer?"
"Don't be Stupid Deku I'm the only one who can do it, you idiot! Don't you know who I am?!" Bakugou shouted before blasting Midoriya in the face.
"OOOWWW OW OW!" Midoriya could only hold his face in pain. "Why are you being so mean Kacchan?"
Before the assault could continue the teacher came in with an Asgardian Escort who would also teach the kids about some of the history of their people as well as Thor on the way to the hammer. While some kids didn't really care about that stuff Midoriya was already holding his notebook which he pulled from thin air, one of the few things he did that Bakugou was rather impressed and baffled by.
"Children this is Einar and he will be our escort for the day. Remember to be polite and listen to him when he's talking to you as well as do as he says and when he says." The teacher spoke. Next to her was the Einherjar solder. He was a rather tough-looking and rugged man but with a calm and kind smile on his face. He was wearing the usual Einherjar Outfit. A black beret on his head with what looked like a regular bulletproof vest but was actually an Uru vest with two gold circles on both his left and right pectoral areas, he also had black cargo pants but with Uru-infused gold leg armor covering just barely the top of his knee to the just above his ankle on only the front of his legs. Another thing interesting about this man was that instead of having a gunlike most security of soldiers would he had a rather large great sword hanging on his back no doubt also made of Uru.
This wasn't super shocking that he had a weapon because unlike most of the world the Asgardian population didn't really have that many quirked people like the rest of the world. The ongoing theory for this was because they weren't human so they didn't evolve the same way unless of course, an Asgardian had a child with a human but that didn't happen too often because even though they integrated well with the general populous they were a rather closed off group of people not really leaving New Asguard that often. The percentage of quirked people there was only about 2%.
On the other hand, New Asguard became somewhat of a safe haven for the Quirkless population to integrate too in recent years to get away from bullying. Midoriyas mom once asked if he wanted to go there to get away from it too but he refused making the argument that he would be too far from U.A. when he eventually tried to go there as well as not wanting to leave Bakugou behind as much as he wanted to meet other quirkless people.
"Yes as your teacher said I am Einar and I will be showing you around the area before ending the tour by taking you all to the hammer to attempt to lift while a picture is taken. Don't worry though this won't be just be walking and learning though. Part way through there will be a part where you'll be allowed to walk around and explore on your lonesome to get some sacks and play some games for prizes, and don't worry about money its all on us." When he said the last part the whole bus erupted in cheers.
After the explanation, they all got off the bus and started the tour of the park which basically became an entire Thor monument over the years with statues all over the place which varied from Pieces of his armor from over the years and paintings that recreated battles from the invasion of New York to the final battle with Thanos and more. They continued to learn about Thor and Asguard for about 15 to 20 minutes with many things they had never learned about even in history class. After another 5 or 10 minutes, the guide stopped and turned around to look at everyone.
"Alright, this is the halfway point. Right now you all have free reign to do whatever you want for… let's say the next hour or so. After that, we'll head to the hammer." With that everyone scattered to the games and food except for one kid of course. Midoriya instantly ran back to the statues of Thor or more specifically the one with his favorite version of thors armor from over the years. The gold and blue battle armor from when he fought Gor. There was just something about it that was absolutely amazing to him. Minus the Helmet. It wasn't exactly a secret that people thought the helmet looked absolutely stupid but Midoriya just thought it was kind of silly looking. Now that he had all this info about how Thor's power worked that he never heard before and he had this armor in front of him, he was ready to draw the Image. He mixed the blue and gold armor with his short hair when he was on Sakaar for the picture.
After finishing the drawing he put his notebook away most likely in another dimension until he needs it again and was about to head back to play some games and eat until he heard some explosions near the location where the regular kids' park was. When he got there he saw bakugou with his two friends behind him standing over another kid on the ground crying. That was all Midoriya needed to see before he ran to assist the kid like a bat straight outa' hell.
He threw himself in between Bakugou and the boy on the ground while putting his fists up while shaking. "That's mean, Kacchan. Can't you see he's crying? If you keep going, I-I-I'll never forgive you!"
Bakugou and his friends snickered at that. "Heh… Even though you're Quirkless…you're still pretending to be a hero Deku?"
They then charged at Midoriya`and started to beat him down to the ground like the other kid but even worse. After a while, they all stopped and Bakugou looked down at Midoriya. "When are you going to stop trying to be a hero Deku? You're Useless!"
Midoriya struggled to get back up but eventually, he did and replied. "I'll never stop because I'm going to be a hero like All Might. A hero that makes everybody feel safe with a smile on my face."
Bakugou got even angrier at that. Every once and a while Midoriya would stand up to him and talk back which only ever made him see red. He went to blast him with one more explosion to the face.
"DIIIIIIIIEEE!" However, the blast never connected. Instead of Midoriya falling back to the ground he slowly dissolved in a bright green glow before disappearing completely. The kid behind him disappeared as well in the same fashion. Bakugou could only look on perplexed until someone spoke behind him.
"Well well well you're a rather rude and violent little child aren't you?"
That made him angrier and he spun around to yell at who said that until he saw who it was and he was completely frozen with a fear he'd never felt before. Looking back at him sitting crisscrossed with Midoriya and the other child sitting on his legs was an infamous villain turned hero. He wore a dark green leather under armor with Gold armor assorted along all the vital parts of his body such as over his chest on his hip area and along his arms with a Horned helmet on his head that was gold with green accents along it that went over his ears and ended at his cheeks. He had long dark hair with piercing green eyes and a devilish grin on his face.
This was the God Of Mischief himself.
Loki.
