Shes at her desk, it's been three months since she last visited the feudal era. She is studying, writing away, a smile on her face. She has sadness behind those happy eyes. She never shows it. She can't. She knows what shes done. She hears a tapping at her window. She turns around, to see that familiar face. She turns back. The window opens.
"Hey how ya been Kagome?" he questions, silent and caring
"I've been good, how about yourself Inuyasha?" she answers, still writing with that smile on her face.
"Oh, ya know, I've just been...around." he replies.
"Its been awhile, hasn't it?" she says, putting her pencil down, still not looking, with that same smile on her pink lips.
"3 months, and four days." Inuyasha says.
"I still think about it."
"Me too." "I have to live with it."
"I'm sorry I couldn't, I now know I was wrong." she says, tears coming to that smile
"Don't be so hard on yourself."
"How can I not." "Its all my fault Inuyasha." she is now crying.
"It was mine to, I made a stupid decision."
She turns around to see a silver haired man, pale. Rings under his golden, lifeless eyes.
"Tell me the story, please, I wanna feel it again." She asks him, closing her eyes, releasing two salty tears.
You had just come back from your time, your bag overstuffed with books, food, and supplies. I had been thinking all that day, about what to tell you. I was so happy inside to see you pop out from that well. I talked to you, we found one more jewel shard, and I decided it was time, I took you to my favorite spot to watch the full moon when I was human those one nights in the month. I was staring at the moon, so white and bright. You were by the fire, cooking my favorite, Ramen. I began to talk, but you didn't hear me the first time. I repeated myself, "Im in love with you Kagome." I told you, staring at the moon, from the cliff looking out onto the blue ocean. You put down your cooking supplies. You looked down at your feet. "I can't return those feelings Inuyasha, it would never work." I looked away from you, a single tear slid down my cheek. I began to walk forward, you only watched. I continued to walk forward, you only cried. I jumped. Not up, not forward, not left or right, only down. It hurt for only a second, only a second.
"I'm so sorry." she sobbed. "I love you now."
"You know its to late for that." he said so caring . "Your not being fair, I can't cry anymore." "But if its anything, I love you to."
"Inuyasha, I'm so sorry." she screamed.
The door slams wide opened. Sota stands there, with such a confused look on his face.
"Sis, who are you talking to?" Sota asks, looking around the room.
Kagome turns back around, grabs her pencil, and puts her smile back on her face. "Inuyasha, Sota, just Inuyasha." she answers
"But sis, Inuyasha isn't here anymore." Sota answers, looking down to his bare feet.
She turns around, "And you know whats fucked up about that?"
"What sis?" he says, so shocked, he has never heard that word come from her mouth before.
"I killed him."
