Thunder and Lightning had managed to catch Red X, seizing his hands behind his back. At the same time, a few of the Titans had left in search of Blackfire.

"Sorry, man," warned Ravager. "You're outnumbered."

"Take his Xenothium belt," suggested Flamebird. "He can teleport with it."

Red Star did as so, careful not to spill any Xenothium.

Starfire and Nightwing returned to the aisle, approaching Red X.

"We'll go after Blackfire," Nightwing told Starfire, both still in their wedding attire. "Whatever is going on, we'll get to the bottom of it, alright? We're all here."

Nightwing left, following the heroes going after Blackfire as Starfire stood in front of the wedding crasher.

"Sorry for the late arrival, darling. When's the reception?"

Stunning yet threatening, Starfire towered over her former fellow Dimension X castaway, glaring.

"It is you who shall answer to me. What have you done to my sister?"

Red X let out a single snicker, pausing more for dramatic effect than out of hesitation.

"Sorry that you had to find it out this way, princess... but your sister's dead."

For the past hour, Starfire had lost grasp of time. Ever since she saw Nightwing on the altar, time had halted for her. When everything came crashing down out of nowhere, time still stilled. And now, with Red X bearing the news, she was momentarily frozen, as the world around her crumbled.

With Herald's help, several of the Titans ventured to Titans Tower, including Sarah, Cyborg, Raven, and Gar in unstable condition. Cyborg had taken Gar into the infirmary for urgent care.

"Raven? Will Gar be okay?" Teether asked tentatively, looking at Raven from behind. "... Are you okay?"

"She needs space to clear her thoughts, Teether," Kole stopped Teether from grabbing on tightly to Raven's cloak. "Let's go find Timmy and Melvin."

They went up from the ground floor as Terra checked up on the empath.

"He's resilient, Raven," Terra assured. She walked up to her, and noticed she still had four glowing red eyes, to her alarm. Usually, they would be accompanied with demonic tendrils. "Um, Raven? Mind telling me what is up with the glow-y eyes but no wrath of fury?"

Raven finally looked up.

"I... I'm not sure..." Raven appeared relatively calmer. "After the initial shock, my powers just seem to... not project as outwardly..."

"Is this a control issue, or is it something else?"

Raven herself was unsure. "Something else. Maybe my emotions are just overwhelmed. My powers aren't working as effectively. That includes my healing."

Terra wasn't sure what was happening either, but she just had to be there for her friends, embracing Raven to comfort her.

"Gar needs us, Raven. He needs you, powers or not. Cyborg is trying something out."

Robin, Mirage and Sarah had been observing Gar's state in the infirmary. Shortly after, they heard a boom and a zap, and Cyborg reentered the room, this time with the Mother Box with him.

"How confident are you that this Mother Box will help him?" Mirage asked, visibly exasperated.

"Aqualad and Troia believe they're alive. We have to give it a try."

Indeed, the Mother Box would give a rare blink. With Killowat as his assistant technician, the two retreated to the next room and got to work in an attempt to detect a sign of life from the Mother Box.

"C'mon, Mother Box, I can't let my best friend die... Please, do what you did when you saved me..."

With a tool inserted, and with Cyborg's desperate-spirited attempt, the Mother Box began to flicker and beep more rapidly.

Cyborg gasped.

"Cyborg? What's wrong?" Killowat was confused to find Cyborg staring at the Mother Box as it beeped. "Are you... communicating with it?"

Cyborg grabbed Killowat's arm, though the rest of his attention was on the Mother Box. He also noticed that the circuit-like pattern on Cyborg's exo parts was flickering similarly.

"I understand you," Cyborg said, confirming that he was indeed talking to the Mother Box. "Is it because we're linked when my dad used a bit of you to save me?"

The Mother Box beeped several times more, forcing Killowat to just watch. Cyborg would occasionally nod in comprehension.

At one point, Cybrorg's face turned grave at what was communicated to him.

"Wait, what do you mean you're gonna die?!" Cyborg asked Mother Box incredulously. "There has to be a way to fully revive you! We need your help to save my friend!"

Mother Box beeped several times more, their lights blinking.

"Oh, okay..." Cyborg's tone became hopeless. "Well, at least we could communicate this way a bit before you go..."

They beeped again, and Cyborg's facial expression became hopeful. And even touched.

Finally, Cyborg smiled, and shortly after, the Mother Box became lightless, and lifeless.

"... Cyborg?"

Cyborg snapped out of what seemed like him mourning the loss of the temporarily revived Mother Box.

"The Mother Box can't help... They're dead."

Under the threatening fistful of green starbolt, Red X spoke, "In retrospect, Blackfire must have sacrificed her life to ensure all three of us would get through the portal back to Earth. After the escape, on the island, the first moment I opened my eyes, I saw her... Her mouth was redder than the X on my chest.

"The second moment I opened my eyes, you were gone, and she was gone too..."

Red X paused, his eyes lowered beneath Starfire's commanding gaze.

"What do you mean?" Starfire demanded. "Where has she gone?"

"... She was with me. Next to me. But she was gone... Dead."

Starfire refused to let the glower in her eyes subside.

"That cannot be. She is here today."

"She is, she is... When I finally came to, she was lying lifeless on my side, her mouth spewing blood. No pulse. Death by blood loss."

"Then, how is she here?" Golden Eagle asked, just as bewildered as the rest of the Titans in the room.

"I'm sorry, Starfire..." Red X apologized. This time, he actually seemed sincere. "I did what I had to do. The way I was given second life."

Finally, Starfire's eyes stopped glowing.

"So, your alleged death as the former Robin," she began to deduce, "it was true? You did die?"

Red X nodded. "Shortly after my death, I was brought to this island, with a pit. The fountain of youth, so to speak. It has these mystical life-giving properties, but at a cost.

"Only, I didn't realise how hefty that cost is. I wasn't a hopeless cause when I was submerged in it because my death wasn't as severe and wasn't that long before my revival. Blackfire's was.

"When I brought her out of the pit, her color scheme had changed so much more than I did. She was more grayscale, like she is now.

"But, worst of all, she'd gone insane. She was spewing what I could only assume to be Tamaranean slurs. She looked, and acted, deranged. I didn't know what to do with her, so I locked her up in a cage, secured it as best as I could."

Starfire furrowed her eyebrows.

"You locked her up like a pet?!" Flamebird asked. His silence was his answer. "That's so wrong."

Starfire's eyes illuminated again, and she lifted him up by the collar.

"Why should I believe you now?"

Red X remained stoic, unfazed by her threat. He answered anyway.

"You know, deep down, I'm telling the truth. I wouldn't have tried to bring her back to life if she didn't mean anything to me.

"I know you know about what she and I had back in Dimension X," he reminded her. She recalled seeing her sister and Red X kissing, moments before their rescue.

Starfire released him, causing him to fall with a thud. A few tears found their way out of her glowing eyes, but she was already holding back. She couldn't even find herself to be mad at Red X. He tried to save her. But the fact that her sister was truly dead had put her in grief.

"I should've stayed with her on the island... I should've helped fight off the Dimension X invaders..."

"You know she wouldn't have let you out of her wanting to protect you," Red X said. "Starfire, we have to contain her. I didn't realise the side effects of the pit worsens the longer the person was lifeless."

The Tamaranean shut her eyes, and turned around, her back to him.

"We will stop her... But not with you." With a gesture, a few of the Titans followed Starfire's flight, going after the pit-cursed Blackfire, while Troia and Golden Eagle held Red X back.

"Don't hurt her!" he begged, unsure if she heard.

Cyborg had relayed the bad news to the people in the infirmary, that the Mother Box could not save Gar. Expectedly, he was met with distraught.

"We have to do something, fast," Raven said. Terra had to remind her to calm herself.

Sarah pulled Cyborg aside.

"Vic, I know that face," she whispered. "Did something else happen?"

Cyborg sighed. "The Mother Box had little life left, and resurrected themselves to tell me that my father and Ron protected the Mother Box, as a way to protect me. To keep me unassociated. They didn't want to engage in their last project after all. They were coerced. However, they tried to seek help during this Mother Box project. Because of that, they lost their lives...

"I don't know. Knowing this sort of comforts me; that they ended up doing the right thing in the end, despite making many questionable choices throughout their lives."

Sarah gave him a reassuring squeeze on the hand.

On the opposite end of the room, Raven was on Gar's bedside. His vital signs remained at constant critical state. He was on the verge of dying.

Gar moaned, trying to speak but unable to get past the pain.

"I'm right here, Gar, I'm right here..." Raven had to find a way quickly.

Rae...

She couldn't tell if the Gar-esque voice in her head was Gar's or her imagination. However, she knew that Gar had managed to instigate the telepathic link between them, just as Nightwing had. There was not much else to lose - besides his life.

Rae... He repeated.

She telepathically called out. Gar? Is that you?

Their link was faint, understandably so. Gar was in too weak of state to enforce a stronger signal, and Raven didn't want to overwhelm his mental state at the rate he was at.

Force-morph me, she heard him say.

Of course, she knew what he meant. All those years ago, when she was taught advanced and dark magic, and one of them allowed her to forcibly tap into Gar's willpower to transform.

Telepathically, she listened to him elaborate his idea.

"That's an insane idea, Gar," Raven whispered to him.

Somehow, Gar mustered the strength to connect with Raven's mind and soul. Raven took his beckoning, entering his soul landscape.

Raven and Gar found themselves on the shore outside Titans Tower, at nighttime. This was the image of his soul. The first time they had a moment together there, he was worried about him taming the darker side of his abilities. The Werebeast.

Raven and Gar found themselves in their teenage bodies, facing each other.

"Are you sure about this?" Raven asked. "I've never seen you turn into that... What are the implications? What if you can't communicate anymore? Or change back?

"Gar, I can't lose you."

Gar smiled weakly. Raven guessed he liked hearing her say that about him.

"It's the only way," he promised, albeit faintly. "I trust you. Trust me now!"

"I can't lose you," she repeated, reaching to hold on to him. He pulled her to him.

"I love you, more than anything," he promised. "No matter what state I'm in."

Raven breathed, hearing Terra in the physical realm calling her, reminded that she needed to calm down.

"Forever..." she said, as their telepathic link began to fade away.

"-more," Gar added, a hint of cheekiness. "Forevermore. Get it? Hehe..."

Raven stood back, returning fully to the physical realm.

For years, she'd fussed over controlling her powers. For years, she had been self-conscious about tapping into the darker side of her potential abilities. She would spend months contemplating how to cast powerful incantations while causing the least damage.

There had to come a moment where she would just have to risk it.

"Stand back," she told everyone as she levitated in lotus position, a magical black swirl circling her and Gar. "Azar Vir Fortis... Azarath Metrion Zinthos!"

The Azarathian energy began to consume her and Gar.

Starfire found Nightwing, Aqualad, Argent and Bumblebee surrounding Blackfire on a wide building rooftop. She was some distance away.

"Blackfire, listen to us!" Nightwing called out. "Are you with us?"

The dead-or-alive deranged Tamaranean cursed at Argent and fired starbolts at her. She dodged, and they instead hit the water tower, causing it to explode in water, its container toppling off the ledge.

Argent gasped, and in flight sped to the street level, surprising the passersby. She projected large red hands to catch the debris.

Bumblebee made a sound of disapproval. "Guess not."

Distracting Argent gave Blackfire the opening. She flew down, and before Argent could safely set down the remains of the water tower, Blackfire sped past her, scaring the pedestrians as she got trigger-happy, particularly at nearby vehicles.

Aqualad and Bumblebee immediately worked on protecting the innocent. Nightwing focused on stopping Blackfire.

Blackfire engaged Nightwing in combat on the road, her forearms against his Escrima sticks. The traffic halted, forced in captivity by the fight.

"Blackfire, you're leaving me with no choice," Nightwing threatened. "I don't even know if you're you anymore."

Blackfire continued bellowing in Tamaranean. At one point, Nightwing managed to send shockwaves to Blackfire. She struggled, but managed to overpower him, firing a strong starbolt at him.

Nightwing was about to collide with a driving truck perpendicular to him, but was saved by Starfire.

Starfire proceeded to punch Blackfire. While the elder sister was dazed by the blow, Starfire examined her face. She noticed her skin tone had indeed greyed, and there was a dried-out blotch on her mouth area, which she presumed to be blood.

"You are not my sister."

The Titans still in the manor were either tidying up the mess caused by Blackfire, keeping watch on Red X, or keeping tabs on either the Titans in the tower or those hunting down Blackfire.

Red X felt the rope around him tighten.

"Don't get any bright ideas," threatened Troia.

Red X snickered. "Oh, but I do, doll."

In a swift maneuver, Red X managed to tug at Troia with his tangled body, causing a second of a distraction, enough for him to begin to unwind and get out of there.

Flamebird and Lightning shot their respective weapon or powers, but Red X ducked just in time, hitting each other instead.

Troia regained her balance, and flew after him, quickly gaining ground. However, Red Star was already trying to stop him from the front. He blasted his beams, and Red X countered by grabbing a shard of a mirror, and threw it directly against the direction of the beams.

His maneuver allowed the beams to pass him and not hit him, and hit Troia instead, while the shard forced Red Star to shield himself, the distraction Red X needed to bypass the former soldier.

Taking his belt back along the way, he uttered, "Sayonara, amigos."

"Wait - oof!"

The powerless Wally thrust himself in front of Red X, to the latter's surprise, and they both crashed against a row of chairs, short of the opening that Blackfire had busted through.

They both moaned, momentarily dazed. Wally reached for the belt.

"I may not be fast anymore, but I'm still a quick thinker," he muttered, tossing the belt to Flamebird, for her to keep custody.

Red X was about to toss Wally aside.

"Hey, I know what you're going through," Wally spoke, grabbing Red X's wrist. "Losing someone you love as they saved you - I've been there."

"You're just a human - not even equipped for combat," Red X threatened quietly. "Don't make me hurt you."

Wally ignored his threats, and signalled the others to not intervene. He went on.

"Like her, Jinx was once considered a definitive villain. Misunderstood, even by her own self-doubt. And yet, in spite of everything, she would go on to do the most heroic thing, against all the preconceptions of her villainous past."

"Blackfire was no hero, nor villain." Red X was reminded of his talk with her back in Dimension X. He wished she were still there.

"That is probably true, but she's done both heroic and villainous things. But you love her, and that's been taken away from you too soon. It's a huge blow to lose someone like that.

"When I still had powers -"

"Holy smokes..." Red X had an epiphany. He'd finally recognised his face. "You're the Kid Flash."

"When I still had powers, I considered turning back time to save Jinx. Every day, I still think about her."

"That doesn't sound helpful to deter me from going after her." Red X was trying to ease Wally's grip on him.

Wally continued, "You know, deep down, that's not Blackfire anymore. And you know, deep down, had you known this consequence, you wouldn't have tried to bring her back."

Red X was trembling a bit, hesitating to make his move at Wally's words. It became obvious to everyone around him that that was what he was trying to do.

There came the sound of a horn, as Herald, Cyborg, Raven, Sarah, and the other Titans in Jump City passed through his portal, and found Red X and Wally at a standstill, with Titans surrounding them at the ready.

Finally, Red X scoffed at Wally, and dropped to his knees in surrender.

Blackfire was apathetic and violent in her rampage on the city. The Titans on the scene were keeping up with protecting people and minimising damages, but Stafire and consequently Nightwing were holding back.

"Whatever this pit's done to her, has made her powerful," Nightwing said to Starfire.

"Not necessarily," she replied. "Just unrestrained."

Starfire managed to hold on to her sister's wrists, restraining her.

"Komand'r!" she called out. Since Blackfire had been cussing in Tamaranean, she figured she would try that means of communication. "If your soul still lingers, we want to help you."

"This universe has no place for the futile and puny!" Blackfire shouted back in Tamaranean, followed by a row of obscenities.

A laser beam battle ensued between the sisters - green against dark grey.

"That's not going to cause some kind of feedback bomb, is it?" Bumblebee asked Aqualad as they returned mildly injured children and elderly people to their families.

The sisters screamed as they fuelled their emotions for more power. While Blackfire's emotions had been unbridled from the beginning, Starfire, who had been holding back the entire time, was only now unfurling her feelings.

The beams appeared to have fused, larger and larger. A seemingly unstoppable force against another seemingly unstoppable force.

Snidely, Blackfire redirected their attack at a slight angle, such that the net damage was towards Nightwing on the ground.

Starfire quickly noticed what she was doing and ceased fire, but the shots had been fired. "Dick!"

The large beam was heading straight toward him. Instinctively, he got into fetal position, with nowhere else to run. Bumblebee, Argent and Aqualad all were even farther away from them.

Starfire cried out, "No!"

The fused beams caused a massive crater on the ground by the time the blast subsided. Starfire and Blackfire were blown back by its impact.

The Titans were shocked to not find Nightwing's body there. Had he disintegrated?

"Sweet cheeks!"

Starfire turned to the caller, finding Red X on the vacant heliport of a building, with his belt on, and Nightwing on his side.

Starfire gasped.

"Thanks a lot, Mr. Not-A-Hero," Nightwing whispered.

"Still ain't. But I have sins I have to be held accountable for."

With a sinister, menacing laugh, Blackfire shot her starbolts at the two, but a telekinetic forcefield shielded them.

"I could've saved him just as well," Raven muttered from behind them.

Blackfire growled, but was hit with a sonic blast.

Cyborg called out, "Now would be a good time to make up for your actions, Red X."

Blackfire shrieked curses in her native language. Red X used his teleporter to get to Blackfire, wrestling with her in the air.

She grunted and sneered, spitting at Red X, about to shoot at him, but he placed his sticky red X's on her palms, somewhat preventing her from shooting.

He took one long look at her as she struggled. He had so much regret.

"I'm sorry, love..." One more look. "Now!"

With tears now in her eyes, Starfire grabbed Blackfire from behind, and delivered a powerful blow to her spine. Blackfire gasped, her eyes fading. First, it stopped glowing. Then, it stopped functioning. Starfire took her from there as Red X let go, falling to the ground, caught by Nightwing.

Herald blew his Gabriel's horn, and a portal opened in front of her and her long-since dead, and now completely lifeless, sister.

On the other side of the portal, was a galaxy waiting for Blackfire. As closest to the Vega System that Herald could get his horn to reach. Starfire pushed Blackfire past the portal, and watched her float away into space as the portal closed.

It was supposed to be the happiest day ever for her. A milestone of a day. She and Nightwing still even had their wedding garb on this entire time.

Nightwing held her as she returned to street level.

"I'm sorry," he said as all of the other Titans gathered around, making sure everyone was okay. As okay as they could be.

"As am I..." Starfire allowed a tear to fall on her face, but she continued to stand strong. "The toughest battles are not always those that threaten the city - or the world - but are those that are against the ones closest to you."

Even though the portal was long gone, Starfire looked up at the dark purple, star-studded summer evening sky. It would have been the ideal scene for a wedding photo.

"She is now among the stars, forever exploring, like she had always wanted."

"Yes, she is," Nightwing said, comforting her. On his periphery, he caught Red X, walking away. "And where do you think you're going?"

Red X turned to look at him.

"Save it, kid."

"Not a kid anymore, remember?"

"Save it, hero," Red X corrected. "I'm retiring Red X."

And, in front of every hero in the vicinity, Red X dropped his mask, leading to some shocked reactions.

Jason Todd! I frickin' told you, Raven!

Raven, protecting Gar from within her cloak, merely replied to his telepathic reaction, "Hm. You're a genius after all."

Hey, who knows? Maybe I am a genius! It was my idea that you morph me into a sea cucumber, right?

Raven revealed her hands from within her cloak, exposing the green sea cucumber. She sighed in relief.

"Just maybe."

Aqualad, who was standing next to Raven, caught a glimpse of sea cucumber Gar. He shrugged. "I would've suggested a hydrozoan."

What's a hydrozoan?

Raven smirked. "He may be a genius, but never all the way genius."

Hey!

Red X continued his conversation with Nightwing, uncaring of the people around them.

"A fresh start after getting over what had transpired the past few weeks for me sounds tempting, and much needed, so I'll be out of your hair. I was never meant to be a hero. Nor a villain. Guess I don't fit in the rules of morality."

Nightwing shook his head. "As troubling of an outlaw you are... just, be good, Jason."

Jason - formerly Red X - sighed, lamenting.

"There's a place called Infinity Island. In it, a pool called the Lazarus Pit. Someone should get that checked and closed off. Fountain of youth and all that nonsense. After all, perhaps you turned out better all grown up."

Cyborg grabbed one of Jason's wrist, about to apprehend him.

"Alright, bud, but you still committed past crimes you hadn't paid your dues for - " And, with the Red X utility belt still on his person, Jason teleported away. Cyborg scoffed as Sarah pulled him back, asking him to help with everyone to clean the place up.

Nightwing looked back at Starfire. "You gonna be okay?"

Starfire looked around, at every Titan - former and present, powered or otherwise - before looking back into his masked eyes.

"I have my family here with me. I have you with me. That is all I need."

And, after every delay possible, the two leaned into each other for the kiss.

One year later...

"It's nice of the Titans to let us use the tower for the potluck," Sarah said as she set the table on the rooftop of Titans Tower, Jump City.

Cyborg was - as to be expected - on the grill.

"To be fair, I built a fair portion of the place."

A dark circle appeared in the middle of the roof, and emerged Raven, not in her superhero getup. But, she still had a cloak on.

"I come bearing gifts," she announced, examining the setup. "Where's the new girl?"

Sarah chuckled. "I was just about to say, the team just keeps getting bigger."

Cyborg chuckled too. "Now, now, let's not get too excited. She's not technically in the team yet! Say, did Gar bring his tofu? I have a second grill for him."

Raven got herself seated, as she telekinetically summoned the gifts and their contribution of the potluck. "I did."

From her cloak, she pulled out a sea cucumber. Green. Raven stared at it for a few seconds, followed by an eye-roll.

"Yes, Gar, I brought the camcorder too. Take it easy. Save your energy for when we're all here."

And sure enough, Nightwing and Starfire entered the rooftop.

"Well, then, we are all here," Nightwing announced, as they all greeted one another cheerfully and gladly.

Cyborg patted Nightwing on the back. "Ahh, stylishly late the old-fashioned way."

Starfire giggled. "Forgive us. The Nightbird car can only travel so fast."

Nightwing shrugged. "It's not like we have magic powers or a boom tube to make our lives easy."

Starfire added, "To be fair, I can fly."

As Raven was cradling the sea cucumber, she chimed in, "But you're with child. Speaking of which, Gar's constantly expressing to me his excitement to finally meet her."

Nightwing and Starfire glanced at each other, and it was revealed that Starfire had been carrying something as they entered. Or someone.

"Everyone..." she began, carefully unravelling the swaddle. "Meet Mar'i. Mar'i Grayson."

Cyborg was the first to get to the newborn, ogling over her.

"She's so cute!" Sarah squealed.

"Gar!" Raven groaned as the sea cucumber trembled about. Nightwing and Starfire watched as the sea cucumber transformed into Gar. Nothing appeared physically different about him at all. In fact, in his excitement, he sprung up like a puppy and dashed to the baby.

Everyone else save for Raven watched him, startled.

"Aren't you supposed to take it easy?" Cyborg asked, concerned.

"I always take it easy!" Gar exclaimed. "Surprise! Full-time physical therapy and rehab ended two months ago."

"Tremendous, friend!" Starfire gladly handed Gar her child.

Nightwing and Sarah looked at Raven, the former asking, "And you were in on this surprise? In our talks, you never gave an indication that he's okay now."

Raven revealed her smile and winked at them. In her monotone, she answered, "Sike. But, he still has to occasionally go to physical therapy."

Gar was animatedly cradling Mar'i, already going all tickle baby voice on her.

"Dudes... she's beautiful..."

It was Raven's turn to say hi to the baby. She was glad no one - not even Gar - was teasing her about going all soft with her growing smile.

"She has your eyes, Star."

"Does she have your super strength?" Gar asked as she returned Mar'i to her mother.

Nightwing burst out laughing. "Not yet."

Starfire rocked her child, with so much love in her action, and in her expression. She stared deeply into her child's eyes at Raven's comment.

Mar'i Grayson had luscious black hair and green eyes. Her eyes glistened like refined emerald gems.

"Her eyes more resemble sister Blackfire - before they turned purple..." Starfire moved on to take a huge whiff of the air. "Mmm what is that marvelous smell?!"

Sarah and Cyborg, with wide eyes, turned immediately to the two grills, both burning. They hastily tried to stop the fire while everyone was enjoying themselves and the company of their longtime friends. And family.

(A/N: The end.

This has been such a journey. From having started this nearly a decade ago, to putting it on an eight-year hiatus, to now having completed it after 65 episodes/seasons.

Thank you for reading this. I hope you enjoyed my version of our favorite heroes' journeys as much as I have had writing them, and then returning after Covid changed things and thus inspiring me to see to the end of this.

The overarching main theme for this final season of mine was 'Life'. Life as a Titan. Some slice of life content. A few well-known DC references such as the Lazarus Pit and the Mother Box (anti-life). And the big question of the meaning of life.

As for the final episode name, 'Ad Infinitum' is the Latin phrase for 'Forevermore'. It also indirectly references 'Infinity Island', as well as the notion of eternity when it comes to both in marriage, and in (found) family.

And with that, this story is complete. Who knows if I will be inspired to continue expanding this universe? But, I shall proudly allow it to linger for eternity and pursue other projects!)
