Kagami and Alya are entering the school when Kagami hears some gossip from Rose who is talking to Juleka.
Rose: I don't think Prince Ali allowed Lila to fly in his private jet with him. It's supposed to be secret, right?
Juleka: Yeah, it does seem odd.
She then saw Alix walking passed by talking to Sabrina.
Alix: I mean, I never heard of Juleka's dad writing a song called "Lila".
Kagami also saw Nino talking to Kim and Max as they walked past her.
Nino: It's pretty odd that Lila saying that she knows all of the Hollywood directors. Heck, she would be honest if she'd mentioned me to Steven Spielberg.
The fencer girl seemed confused.
Kagami: Lila?
Alya: Yeah, she just started at our school.
She points to Lila who is on the second floor talking to some students.
Alya: Since she knew about my blog, she asked me to interview her. At first, I believed that it was a thank you to Ladybeetle and Kuro Neko for saving her, but that wasn't the case. Watch.
Kagami watches the interview on Alya's phone.
Lila: Oh, after I arrived here in Paris, I soon met Ladybeetle. After he saved me, we were like this.
She crosses her fingers together.
Behind the camera, Alya sounded untrusted with the idea but she decided to keep cool to cheer Lila up.
Alya: Well, that's nice.
Lila: I know, right?
Kagami seemed suspicious about the interview.
Kagami: Alya, I know you wanted to have more followers and viewers, but-
Alya snapped.
Alya: No! I didn't post on the blog! I save it as a draft on my cloud.
Kagami sighed in relief.
Alya: I know that I wanted to, but this could put her life in danger because of Hawk Moth.
Kagami hummed in agreement.
Alya: Anyway, let's go to class.
As the two walked into class, Plagg popped his head out of Kagami's bag.
Plagg: You know, this Lila girl is pretty sus.
Kagami: I know, right?
At the square, Luka is having a break with Andre's ice cream watching a photo shoot as the photographer helps the model to pose.
The bug boy knew why, but his Kwami wasn't.
Tikki: Why are they helping him pose? Are they strict or something?
Luka: I don't think so. See his eyes?
Tikki looked closer to see the model's eyes had a lighter lime-like color than regular lime-green eyes.
That's when the Kwami realized something.
Tikki: Is he blind?
Luka: Precisely.
Tikki: Oh.
It was lunch and everyone left their classrooms for a break.
Out of everyone, Lila goes out of school and heads to the park where she sees the model taking a break.
As she goes closer to see him, she notices his bag containing a book and a peacock brooch.
She decided to take both of them and examine the book.
Luka noticed her presence after he ate the ice cream and decided to investigate by hiding behind one of the trees.
As he peeks, Tikki notices what Lila is holding as she quietly gasps.
Luka: What is it, Tikki?
Tikki: It's the Miraculous Spellbook! She has it!
Luka hides again as Lila walks past him with the grimoire and the brooch.
As she exits the park, she throws them into the trash bin.
Luka was shocked at what he saw.
Luka: She dumped the book in the trash bin? What a brat!
Luka goes to the trash bin and carefully takes the book out.
Tikki noticed the brooch too.
On closer inspection, she gasped at what she found.
She decided to give it to Luka.
Tikki: Quick! Take this too!
Luka: Why?
Tikki: It's important!
Luka: Okay, but hold on. Why did that girl throw these into the bin like it was useless to her?
As Tikki shrugs, Luka notices Lila exiting a jewelry store and the two go to hide once more as the bug boy puts the book and brooch in the container of his bike and rides off somewhere hidden.
Lila entered the park once more holding a paper bag and sits on the bench closer to the shoot.
Luka pulls out his phone and zooms in on the camera to find out what's up.
Lila goes to put on a necklace with a fox tail charm.
Luka seemed confused.
Luka: Why did she buy a fox necklace?
He then noticed the model going to sit on a bench Lila was in and she then greeted him.
Tikki: Do they know each other?
Luka: I don't know. Let's find out.
As he goes closer to them, he realizes that the girl is a fan of the model and she wants to get to know him with her "claims" which made him confused because she mentioned his dad in the conversation too.
That is when the plan happens.
Adrien: So you do know Ladybeetle, for real?
Lila: Not only did Ladybeetle save my life, but we've also become very close friends because we have something very special in common- it's what I wanted to tell you about. I'm the descendant of a vixen superheroine myself, Volpina.
Adrien: Volpina?
Luka: Volpina?
Lila: Of course. She's one of the most important superheroes. More powerful and more celebrated than Ladybeetle.
Luka is angered by the comment.
Lila: Between you and me, Ladybeetle doesn't even make the top ten. My grandma gave me this necklace.
Tikki: Wow, she's good. Very good.
Luka: If my cousin is here, she would have called out to her. That's it, I'm going in. Tikki, Spots on!
After he transforms, he calmly goes to Lila and Adrien and interrupts the conversation.
Ladybeetle: I just passed by the area when I heard someone claiming about me.
The two turned to see him.
Ladybeetle: That's it, Luka. Keep it cool. Look, I don't wanna intrude, but as much as Kuro Neko and I love to have more help dealing with Hawk Moth, advertising that claims to anyone would lead you into danger if Hawk Moth hears it. It's one of our jobs to make sure the civilians are safe from his Akumas. That includes disproving false information that can endanger anyone.
Adrien realized that the red hero has a point.
Any claims would cause consequences.
However, Lila didn't like it.
Lila: Hey, don't get nosy around here, and it's not of your business!
Ladybeetle sighs.
Ladybeetle: As I said, I don't wanna intrude-
Lila: Yes, you are! I was giving Adrien my attention!
Adrien: Hey, take that back!
Ladybeetle is annoyed about it.
Ladybeetle: Fine, do it, and there will be consequences. Plus, he couldn't look into your eyes because he's blind.
Adrien: He's right, you know?
In the end, Lila accused Adrien of believing him and accused Ladybeetle of exposing her and storms off.
Ladybeetle: Okay, what is that?
Adrien: I have no idea.
Vincent: Adrien!
Adrien realized that his break is over as his photographer approaches him and Ladybeetle after he witnessed the scene.
Vincent: Although that girl is feeding him lies, I would like to thank you Ladybeetle for standing up to it.
Ladybeetle: It's part of my job. And with that away, I better get going. Bug out!
He then swings away to his hiding spot and detransforms before he gets on a bike.
Tikki: Luka, you need to take the book and brooch to the guardian.
Luka: Okay. Guide me there.
In the streets of Paris, Lila is furious as she stops in front of a poster of Ladybeetle.
Lila: My chances with Adrien, gone! I hate you, Ladybeetle!
She proceeds to throws her bag at the poster.
In Hawk Moth's lair, he senses another negative emotion as his window opens.
Hawk Moth: Ah...jealousy, deceit, and the desire to be a superhero. This young lady is my perfect prey.
He turns the butterfly into Akuma and then it flies into the hole to the city.
Hawk Moth: Fly, my evil little one, and akumatize her.
Back to Lila, the Akuma landed on her necklace and possesses her.
Hawk Moth: Volpina, I am Hawk Moth. I'm giving you the power of illusion, from now on, your lies will come to life. Gain Ladybeetle and Kuro Neko's trust and convince them you're a real superhero, then betray them and bring me their Miraculous.
Lila: It would be my pleasure, Hawk Moth.
As she transforms into Volpina, she uses her new power to change the poster of Ladybeetle into one of Volpina and Adrien.
In Wang Fu's massage shop, he is meditating with Wayzz beside him when he senses something.
Wayzz: Master, are you okay?
Wang Fu: He's here!
Luka knocks on the door and enters as Wayzz flies off and hides inside the phonograph.
Wang Fu: Hello, Ladybeetle!
As Luka closes the door, Tikki flies out.
Tikki: I know you never wanted me to bring him here but... you must see what she's discovered. Show him, Luka.
Luka: We found someone throwing these into the trash bin. We managed to carefully take them so they won't damage more.
Wang Fu inspects the book and the brooch as the turtle Kwami flies out of the gramophone.
While he's doing it, Tikki explains everything to Luka.
Tikki: Master Fu is the last known member of the Order of the Guardians!
Wayzz: Guardians of the Miraculous! I'm Wayzz, Master Fu's Kwami. It's a pleasure to meet you, Luka.
Luka: You too!
Wang Fu closes the book after closer inspection.
Wang Fu: It is indeed the grimoire and the Peacock Miraculous. Poor Duusu.
Wayzz: It's true.
Wang Fu: Do you know where this belongs, aside from someone throwing it away?
Luka thinks of it but he had no clue.
Luka: No, I don't. I'm sorry.
Wang Fu: It's okay. All we have now is the grimoire and the Miraculous.
Suddenly, Luka gets an alert from his phone before he looks outside to spot a meteor hurtling down toward the city from the sky.
Luka: What in the world?
That's when he realized something.
Luka: An Akuma!
Wang Fu: It seems that it's time for you to go out there.
Luka: You're right. Tikki, Spots on!
As he transforms, Wang Fu bids him good luck as he leaves the massage shop by the window.
Kagami and Juleka are just going home, and upon seeing the meteor, Kagami runs into a random alley and transforms.
Juleka texts Luka to let him know about the situation and he replies that he knew.
Ladybeetle yo-yos towards the meteor, but is surprised by Volpina, who flies under the meteor and catches it before it hits the Louvre pyramid.
She hurls it back into the sky, where it vanishes as it hits a pigeon.
Volpina flies down onto a building but is revealed to be an illusion when the real Volpina swats her away.
Volpina then addresses the Parisians below.
Volpina: I am Volpina, the only superhero Paris needs!
The citizens chant her name.
Ladybeetle stands on a nearby roof as Kuro Neko lands next to her.
Ladybeetle: Volpina?
Kuro Neko: Looks like we have a new partner.
Ladybeetle: Don't you think it's weird, this superhero just appears out of nowhere?
Kuro Neko: Yeah, it's very odd.
Suddenly, Volpina lands in front of them.
Volpina: Hey guys! Glad you dropped in, I need a hand. Come on!
Volpina flies off with Ladybeetle and Kuro Neko following behind her.
They all land on a nearby roof.
Kuro Neko suddenly spots Hawk Moth in the flesh and quickly realizes that something is off.
Kuro Neko: Hawk Moth never shows up! Something big is going on. Very big!
Ladybeetle: You're right, but we need to play along and avoid anything that leads to traps.
Kuro Neko: You got it.
Throughout the whole scenario, Volpina's plan backfires as Ladybeetle exposes her tricks and they chase her into the Eiffel Tower while she's dangling an illusion of Adrien as bait which the red hero didn't like it.
But afterward, they managed to beat her and Ladybeetle goes to give Lila a magical charm.
Ladybeetle: I overreacted and never should've spoken to you like that. I'm sorry. So, to make up for it, I decided to-
Lila: Forget it, Ladybeetle; you were right. We'll never be friends.
Lila picks up her necklace and walks away.
Little did she know that Ladybeetle secretly placed the magical charm behind her bow so that she wouldn't notice it when she takes it off.
Kuro Neko: Ouch...
Back in Hawk Moth's lair, he can still sense her anger.
Hawk Moth: She's still angry. You're not done with Volpina yet, Ladybeetle. You haven't seen the last of her.
Once Ladybeetle and Kuro Neko are down from the tower, they heard someone calling them to see Juleka on a bike and stop in front of them.
Juleka: Ladybeetle, are you okay?
Ladybeetle: Yeah, I'm okay. You don't have to worry about me.
Juleka: How about you Kuro Neko?
Kuro Neko: Before I answer you, do you guys know each other because you are worried about him?
The two realized that hint and they decided that it was time to reveal the truth.
Ladybeetle: Yes, I know her. Because she's my sister.
Kuro Neko is surprised.
Kuro Neko: What?
Ladybeetle looks around to know that nobody is around them before he detransforms.
Ladybeetle: Spots off.
He then turns back to his civilian self and Kuro Neko finally makes sense.
They are twins.
The cat hero smiled.
Kuro Neko: Claws in.
Kuro Neko turns back into Kagami which surprises Juleka.
Juleka: Kagami?
Luka: Is she your friend?
Juleka nodded.
As Luka and the girls went back to Wang Fu's massage shop, they find the guardian snapping pictures from the grimoire to his mobile phone.
Luka: Master, what are you doing?
Wang Fu: Ah, Ladybeetle. Welcome back. Kuro Neko, Ms. Couffaine, welcome.
Kagami: How did you know?
Plagg pops out from her bag.
Plagg: That's Master Fu, one of the last guardians of the Miraculous alive.
Wang Fu: Luka, I am taking pictures from the spellbook just in case someone needs to return it. As for the Peacock Miraculous, it stays with me. I'm going to find another replica of it in a store.
Kagami: You lost these before?
Luka explained how he found it and Juleka and Kagami were angry when he mentioned Lila.
Luka: You know her?
Juleka: She's a transfer student from Italy. Spreading lies, gossip, and false information, that includes her mention of Dad.
Luka was shocked.
Luka: Really?
Kagami: Yup.
Luka: Girls, join me in the Anti-Liar Squad.
Juleka: We already made a group chat with our class.
