Complicated Love
The sunlight peeked through the trees above, casting little spots of sun here and there. Sasuke trudged through the forest on firewood duty. Sakura was helping Naruto get the fish. Sasuke's mind was quiet as he stepped into a clearing.
It was the first time he saw her. She was all alone in the middle of the field, sitting in a yellow pot. Her soft, delicate pink petals were lightly swaying in the wind. He stem was strong and firm looking. She was the most beautiful houseplant Sasuke had ever seen. He wanted nothing more to go over to her and…
He shook his head. Surely, a beautiful houseplant such as this would already have someone. Who would be stupid enough to walk by this beauty twice? Sasuke decided what needed tom be done. He took careful steps toward the houseplant, if she already had someone, he didn't care. All he wanted was to just be next to her.
He stopped a few inches away from the houseplant and knelt down. He reached out his hand and felt her petals. When she didn't object, he began to explore. Her stem was as strong as it looked from the distance, and her petals were even softer than he imagined. Sasuke's heart pounded. He had only just met this houseplant and already…already he was…
In love with her. Unable to keep his emotions in check, Sasuke bent down to kiss the houseplant. His lips landed on her bud, first lightly, then more passionately. Sasuke was so enveloped in the kiss that he didn't notice the enemy approaching.
It was a dog-like boar, with large horns and a huge head. It silently walked over to where Sasuke was fulfilling his love and crushed the houseplant in his hands. Sasuke snapped his head back.
It seemed like everything happened in slow-motion then. He saw the houseplant, his love, break into tiny pieces. One of the delicate petals landed softly on his cheek. He looked up at his enemy who laughing above him.
"It seems I've killed your lover haven't I?" He growled in a deep voice. Sasuke grabbed a kunai from his slide and slashed his enemy's throat with it. It let out a strangled choke and fell to the ground.
Sasuke stared at the ground where his love used to be. He felt his eyes get wet. No, he was not going to cry. But…he loved her so much. He could still taste her sweetness from their kiss. He lifted the lone petal off his cheek and looked at it lovingly. His hand lifted and he blew it into the wind.
"I will always remember, and love you houseplant." He said quietly. He watched as the petal floated toward the sky until it was gone. Sasuke closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "Always." He said again.
…
Yeah, the thought to do this just came to me…Im so weird. Oh well!
