Amy straightened out the front of her rose coloured dress in the floor length mirror. Her hair was pulled back into a glittery clip. The rest of her hair falling on her shoulders. "You ready?" Lisa asked from the door.
Amy spun around. "It is okay?"
"You look beautiful, honey." She smiled. Lisa was in a white dress with black trim. She too looked stunning. The pair hugged quickly as they heard Jack shout from the kitchen.
"Oh my, girls." He beamed as they walked into the kitchen where Jack was just putting on his suit jacket. "You both look so beautiful." He gave Lisa a kiss. Then grabbed Amy for a hug.
"I don't think I can walk in these heels." Amy laughed.
"Well, we better get going. We don't wanna be late."

Amy, Lisa and Jack all piled out of the truck. The park was filled with lots of other parents as well as the other high school students. Amy felt funny being back there. After all it had been a few years since she herself graduated. She peered around Lisa seeing if she could find Ty. But she couldn't. All the students looked the same in their red gowns.
"We'd better take our seats." Jack said eager to find one before they filled up.
Amy nodded and followed after Lisa and Jack. She pulled out her cell phone and sent him a quick text. 'Love you.' A few minutes later her phone chimed. Her face lite up with the message he sent back. They maybe didn't get to see each other before the ceremony but he at least knew she was there rooting him. He had been a little more then nervous.
Before too long all the seats were filled with parents and loved ones. The principal beginning his speech. Amy couldn't help but chuckle at how similar it was to the one he gave on her graduation day. About 30 minutes later the principal starting calling everyone's name. Amy could hardly contain her excitement anymore. So she was happy his name began with a B.
"Ty Borden" The teacher reading the names off announced.
Ty stood from his seat making his way to the principal with his diploma. It meant everything to him to finally receive it. But it meant even more to him that Amy was able to be apart of this special moment. As he grabbed it and thanked him, turning his tassel to the other side he heard Amy scream with excitement.
Amy jumped up yelling and clapping as Ty turned to face the crowd. Ty's smile of slight embarrassment turned into pride as he seen her whole family standing up next to her. Amy, Jack, Lisa, Tim, Lou holding Emma, Peter holding Jackson, Mallory and his own mother.
Amy smiled a cheeky grin at him. To say Ty was surprised was an understatement. Amy could tell he was slightly embarrassed. But he deserved it. Whether he liked it or not he was a Bartlett/Fleming. Ty shook his head as he went to take his seat again. Amy waved at him.

All the families of the graduates gathered around the park congratulating their kids. Ty didn't look at all out of place among the 18 year olds. He shook his head a large smile on his face as he walked toward Amy and the rest of her family. Amy ran toward him and jumped into his arms. He squeezed her. "You are so embarrassing." He whispered in her ear causing her to giggle. "But thank you." He set back down and smiled at her. He took her hand and walked toward them all waiting.
"Congratulations." Lou said the first to pipe up. "Now what are your plans?" She asked as only Lou would.
Ty nervously looked at Amy before replying. "I haven't made up my mind. But I have time."
"Not too much time. School starts in the fall." Peter grabbed Lou's arm to get her to stop.
"Congrats." Lily said smiling at her son. "I am so proud of you." She took Ty into a hug as Amy held his diploma.
"You didn't have to come all this way." Ty said.
"Your son only graduates high school once."
"Good job, Ty. Knew you could do it." Jack patted Ty's back. "Well, I say we give Ty and his mom a moment." He said leading Lisa away. Peter nudging Lou to do the same.
"We have dinner planned back at the house." Amy said handing Ty back his diploma. He have her a quick kiss. She then took off after her dad and the rest of the family.
Ty watched them go before turning back to his mom. "Thanks for coming. Really, it meant a lot."
"I'm so proud of you." She pinched his cheek. "How did you get so grown up?"
"Kinda happens when you have to fend for yourself." He said regretting almost instantly. "Mom, I'm sorry."
"It's okay. It's the truth." She frowned looking at the ground.
"I learned a lot. And honestly while there are things I'd change. I wouldn't change this for a minute."
Lily smiled. "You love her, don't you?"
"I wouldn't have even ended up here if it wasn't for Wade."
"You know it's okay to admit your in love." Lily grinned.
"Yeah, I love her. Okay, happy?" He joked grabbing his mother's arm and starting walking toward the parking lot.
"They really are nice people. I always wondered where you ended up."
"Jack's tough but it's exactly what I needed. I just wish I would have taken him up on his offer after my prohibition was done."
"Your here now." They stopped just beside Ty's motorcycle. "Do you have any idea what you wanna do?" She asked referring to Lou's question.
"No, not really. The only thing I'm curtain of is Amy." He smiled over at where they were parked waiting for Lily. "I'm gonna do whatever it takes to spend the rest of my life with her."
Lily watched the look on her son's face. He really was in love.

The whole family laughed and shared stories catching up. It was the first time they had all been together in months. Something was so rare to Amy. She had gone 4 years with the house being so empty and quiet. Just her and Jack and Lisa. The house had come alive with chatter. Jackson running around the house doing who knows what. Emma crying when her brother woke her up. Tim and Lou arguing about something in the next room. Jack, Ty and Peter talking about going fishing.
The time seemed to fly by. Lou, Peter and the kids headed for a hotel. While Lily settled in to the guest room. Tim had gone home and now Jack and Lisa were sitting around the fire enjoying a class of wine. Ty nodded his head toward the kitchen. Amy smirked as she placed the dirty dishes down. She followed him outside.
They walked hand in hand down toward the pond. Finally getting some time alone. "You look beautiful."
Amy blushed. "Thank you."
"You are really good at keeping secrets. I don't know whether to be impressed or concerned." He joked.
"Are you happy?" She watched him fiddle with his dress shirt. He looked so handsome. But also so different.
"Yeah. I am. It was the best present."
"Well, technology that was only part one." She bit her bottom lip.
"Oh gosh. I'm not sure how I'm going to complete with you."
"You'll have to wait for it." She teased.
"Okay. I can do that." He grabbed her hand and spun her toward him. Their faces inches from each other. He planted a long slow kiss on her lips before dipping her. Spinning her back around when he brought her up. She placed her free hand on his shoulder and they swayed back and forth dancing to the sound of the crickets under the full moon sparkling off the water.
After about ten minutes of just staring into each others eyes Ty spoke. "Thanks for today. It meant a lot."
"Of course. I'm so proud of you."
"I love you so much more then I was ever expecting." Ty said a glimmer in his eye.
"Same. You are terrible at first impressions." She laughed.
"Fair but you are no ray of sunshine."
"Well, excuse me but I almost got thrown off my horse."
"Your sister asked me what I plan on doing now. I've been thinking about it a lot."
"Yeah."
"Yeah, I wanna help you. Train the horses. Help Jack out. Pull my weight if I'm going to be sticking around."
Amy frowned. "Oh, so you weren't planning on staying?"
"No, that's not what I meant. I guess I just...do you want me to stay?" The question was weird and seemed obvious. But yet so odd to hear.
"What kind of question is that?" She asked. Making Ty regret it. Of course Amy was going to fire back with a question.
"Well, I guess I just wanna know what you want?"
"What do you mean, what I want?" She asked.
Ty laughed. "You never could make up your mind." He kept walking as they circled the overturned boat. Ty sat down waiting for Amy to do the same but she didn't.
"I want you to go to university if that's something you want."
"There's only one thing I know I want." He said looking up at her. Her arms where crossed her hair blowing in the wind. Ty reached for her hand getting her attention. She smiled instantly.
"You are such a romantic." She smiled as Ty pulled her down onto his lap. "I love you."
"I love you too." Amy placed her hand in Ty's hair as they kissed. The moon reflecting off the pond.

The morning sun shone brightly into Amy's window early the next morning. She stirred already smelling the bacon cooking. She turned on her side to face Ty. He was still asleep next to her. The last 24 hours had been a whirlwind in the best way. It still surprised her that he was hers. Despite what people saw on the outside Ty was just a sweet and caring guy. That tough vasade was just a way to protect himself from getting hurt. She couldn't blame him. She wanted more then anything to just lay there all day with him. But knew she couldn't. She had the morning chores to do as well as it was Lily's last day in Hudson before she headed back to Vancouver. They had planned on spending the day with her. Amy nuzzled in closer to Ty brushing his hair from his eyes. She loved the bad boy grunge look he had let his hair grow into. Ty opened his eyes sleepily. His smile growing as he caught sight of Amy. He reached his arms around her. "Good morning."
"Good morning to you too." She grinned.
"So I was thinking we take your mom for a ride?" She asked carefully. "I know she'd never rode but Ace is a gentle horse. I thought we could let her ride him."
"I think that's a great idea." He said sitting up now. "Last night was amazing."
"It really was." Amy blushed. Ty was searching for his shirt but had to get out of bed to reach it. She looked away when he caught her staring.
He leaned over the bed and kissed her. He pulled the shirt on before throwing Amy a shirt. "Thank you."
"What?" He asked as Amy continued to stare.
"Wish we could stay like this all day."
"Me too. But eventually Jack will come searching for me." He laughed. He stepped into his jeans and left the bedroom to let her get changed.
Amy quickly caught up to him jumping into his lap at the kitchen table. She ignored looks as she ate from Ty's plate.
"Can you at least get your own plate." Lou said giving them a knowing glance.
Amy jumped up frowning as she took the plate from Lou's hand. "Fine." She went to sit in the dining room instead.
"Hey, Amy." Jack said as he too shared a look at Lisa.
"Can you let this go? Yes, Ty slept over. Does it matter?"
"Well..." Jack started before Lisa cleared her throat.
"Mom? Amy and I was wondering if you'd like to take the horses for ride?"
"That sounds nice." She said but had a bit of skepticism in her voice.
"That's what happens when you get sucked into this family." Peter joked while trying to get Emma to take the spoonful of oatmeal. Jackson had more egg on his face then in his mouth.
Amy reached over and cleaned his face since Peter had his hands full.

Amy had finished feeding the horses and Ty had gotten them saddled up. Lily stood watching with fear on her face. "I didn't realize horses were so tall."
Ty laughed. "That's kinda the point."
"You'll be fine. Ace is a gentle horse. Perfect for trail rides. All you have to do is hang on."
"Hang on, uh? That's the problem." Lily said patting the horse.
"You need a leg up?" Ty asked.
"How did you ever get use to this?" She asked as she sat holding onto the horn for dear life.
"I think Peter said it best." Ty laughed looking over at Amy.
"You can't live on a ranch and not ride."
"Falling for a horse crazy girl doesn't help." Amy smirked at him.
"Nudge the horse forward like this." Ty instructed.
"Hey, I'm doing it." Lily said excitingly.
Amy rode up beside Ty and grabbed his hand. "We'll, make a rancher out of your mom."
"Thanks for this Amy."
"Thanks for what?"
"For being so understanding, forgiving and cute."
Amy smiled squeezing his hand. "You make it impossible to stay mad at." Amy looked behind her to see Lily.
"This isn't so bad." She shouted at the couple. Ty smiled back at her slowing his horse for her to catch up.

Lily and Ty stood watching Amy put the horses back into the field. She watched her son's face as he lingered just a little longer then she did.
Ty was embarrassed as he noticed his mom was staring at him. "I'm really glad you came. It was a nice surprise."
"I am so happy Amy invited me."
"I didn't want to make a big deal out of it."
"Guess Amy had other plans." She smiled. "I really like her. She's good for you."
Ty nodded. "Thanks Mom." He hugged her.
"I got you a little something." She pulled an envelope out of her purse.
"You didn't have to do that."
"I wanted too." She smiled at him as he opened it.
"Mom! No, this is too much." He shoved the envelope back.
"I want you to have it." She said pushing his hand back.
"Where'd you get this kind of money?"
"I've been saving it."
"Mom, I can't." Ty tried to give it back to her.
"Please, I don't need it. I want to help pay for school or..." Lily trailed off watching Amy.
Ty turned around to see what had caught his mom's attention. "Mom?"
"Propose to her." Lily said bluntly.
Ty was taken aback. He hadn't expected his mom to say that. "I...she's not..." He was at a loss for words.
"She loves you. I've seen the way you look at each other. And don't tell me the idea hasn't crossed your mind. You told me yesterday you wanted to spend the rest of your life with her."
Ty glanced back at Amy who shot him a quick wave. "She's perfect. But I don't know."
"Don't wait to long. Girls like her don't stay single for long." Lily looked at her son. "You are good enough for her. You are nothing like your father and I." She tapped his shoulder getting his attention.
"Bye, Mom." He said hiding the blush on his cheeks.
"I'd better get going. Try to hit Vancouver before dark." She hugged Ty again.
Amy walked over to the pair. "Thank you so much for agreeing to come."
"Of course. I wouldn't miss Ty's graduation." She pulled Amy into a hug.
"We'll plan a trip to come see you later in the summer." Ty said glancing back at Amy who nodded.
"I'd love that." Lily climbed into her car and waved as she drove away leaving Amy and Ty in the driveway.
"What were you too talking about?" Amy said tipping her head to look up at Ty who had his arm around her as he lead her back to the house.
"Nothing." Ty lied. His hand going into his pocket. A small smile on his face.
