Awakening a new Evil
Disclaimer - I don't own BloodRayne (sigh) nor do I own Harry Potter although I wish I did but I don't. It's all thatnks to Terminal Reality and JK Rowling.
Summary - Half Vampire BloodRayne is sent to Hogwarts to protect Harry from her half sister, Fayth. It's better than it sounds. Rating may change later.
May 23rd 2004 – Kagan's Tower, New York
Intense green eyes on the sky, the dhampir let out a sigh, "It's over…" she said softly. Though the shroud still covered the sky, her father was dead, at last. With a final glance at his lifeless corpse, she stepped over his body, spiked stiletto heels clicking on the marble floor. Her gaze rested on her partner Severin, and she nodded at him, "Bad news, vampires over the world will rise up to take his place…" he said, pointing at Kagan's head which lay a good few feet from the rest of his body. The dhampir knew what she had to do, dropping her eyes to the floor she nodded, "I'll take care of them…" was all she said, walking out the door, hips swaying slightly.
On the street below she reappeared, smirking slightly as she sat astride her bike, pulling the helmet on to cover her red hair. Starting the engine, she rode off like a fallen angel clad in leather into the night.
September 1st 2006 – King's Cross Station, London
Somehow over the years, her travels and battles had led her to her final destination, a station in the middle of London. Somehow the shroud had covered this city to, which was bad. Vampires roamed the streets, not bothering to stay hidden. The red headed vixen was crouched high upon the roof of the station, the rays from a nearby light glinting off the blades attached to her wrists. Her eyes glanced from person to person, trying to find the one she'd been sent to find. "Rayne, have you found him?" came a voice from the chip in her ear, "No Severin, I haven't!" she snapped, having been waiting here for over two hours and was getting slightly cranky, "Are you sure he'll be here?" she asked, for the first time in her life, uncertainty in her silky voice. A sigh and a "Yes" came from the other end.
Her eyes landed on a vampire walking through the station, his shaggy brown hair covered his eyes, "And where are you going?" she whispered to herself, before glancing at the person he was heading for. It was him! The one she was here to see! The one with the lightning bolt scar on his forehead! Jumping back, she grabbed onto the pole she was previously standing on and swung around it. Letting go, she somersaulted through the air, landing in a crouch behind the soon to be dead vampire. "Going somewhere?" she asked, bringing her blades to a ready position. A fist swung dangerously close to her face as she darted back, swinging her blade, slicing the creatures face. It growled and lunged for the boy, causing Rayne to pull out her guns and point them at him, "You've seen these before?" The vampire grunted, all vampires feared the Carpathian Dragons, although it wasn't surprising why. They were guns of legends, using the blood of their dhampir host to make bullets lethal to vampires.
Watching as the vampire ran off, Rayne put a hand on her leather clad hip and smiled slightly at the boys shocked face. Well, she thought, so you would be if a red headed, half vampire just appeared, clad in tight red and black leather with two very sharp blades.
