Ty knelt down on one knee his own breath catching as he opened the ring box. "It was right here we shared our first kiss. Where I first knew you were gonna be trouble. Where I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you." He smiled.
"Ty..." Amy whispered.
"Amy Fleming, will you marry me?"
Amy bit her bottom lip fighting tears. "Yes." She whispered nodding her head like crazy.
"Yes?" Ty asked tears coming to his eyes as he stood up. Amy just nodded as he placed the diamond ring on her finger. "I love you so much. And I promise to spend the rest of my life reminding you."
"I love you so much." Amy said wrapping her arms around Ty.
He picked her up spinning her as they shared in a deep long passionate kiss. "Right where it all began." Ty said as he out her down but not letting her go. Looking that they were right next to Spartan's stall. Amy smiled widely as she pulled Ty in for another kiss.

Amy rolled over yawning her hand coming up into view. The early morning light catching the diamond making it sparkle. It'd be a few days since the cattle drive and she was feeling a lot better about things. Her and Ty had a better understanding of where they stood and he knew now that he was the only one for Amy. In fact his insecurities were kinda cute. She knew it was only of instinct and habit. She hadn't been raised the way he was. She knew her family loved her. It made her sad to think he would ever think that his parents didn't. Despite her dad abandoning us she always knew he loved her dearly. Her mother make sure she and Lou knew it. As she layed there she couldn't help but wonder how she and her whole family had changed his life now 6 years ago. And to think one day she would then be Mrs Borden was fantastic. Almost unrealistic. She had a smile on her face remembering back to the first time she met him. She played with the engagement ring for a few minutes more before deciding the horses weren't going to wait forever. She threw off the covers and jumped out of bed. She walked into the kitchen yawning again. The hot summer air made it hot to sleep with no air conditioning. But luckily it was only this hot a few weeks out of the whole summer. Jack was already up and had the newspaper in his hand. She kissed his cheek good morning before heading for the door.
"Wait, what about breakfast?" He called after her.
"When I'm done. I already overslept." She shouted over her shoulder.
Jack shook his head. Lisa entered the kitchen laughing. "What?"
"Just you. She's 20 years old I think she can manage without you going on parent on her." She pulled the chair out to sit next to him.
"In case you didn't know I have been her parent for years now." He never looked up from his paper. Lisa grabbed his cup taking a sip of his coffee. "That's my coffee." He said reaching out for it.
Lisa sighed giggling as she handed it over. "Okay, coffee police. I'll get my own."
"What's the plan for today?"
"Well, I was thinking of heading into town. The horses need a break from training and so do I."
"Shopping, eh? We hardly have enough room now."
"I know you value your closet space." She laughed. "I was actually thinking of asking Amy to go with." She bit her tip lip. "Sort of a girl's day."
"Ah, I see so wedding stuff?" Jack set the paper down.
"Well, it couldn't hurt."
"It could. Especially since they were just arguing a week ago."
"More reason too." Lisa grabbed her mug and disappeared into the dining room leaving Jack alone again with the paper.

Of course, much like her grandfather Amy wasn't one for change or fancy things. She was also the complete opposite of her sister Lou. Who had practically thrown a fit when she couldn't get her perfect wedding. The simplest things, according to Amy were wrong. The place settings had been the wrong colour. Her wedding dress didn't fit just right. Peter insisted on his work friends attending. Last minute details had turned into World War 3. She remembered feeling like such a child watching Lou run wild for a month trying to throw together her perfect wedding before she looked too large to get married. Of course someone had thrown out the idea she wait until the baby was born which was a mistake. Amy had always been so simple. Or plain as some of her friends would see it. But she didn't believe in material objects or making others feel less. Lou's wedding was all about appearances. One reason Amy had Caleb do most of the planning or decision making. It really didn't matter to her. Which now made it seem like an insult. Wasn't she supposed to care about things like this. Didn't ever little girl grow up with the idea of being a princess at their dream wedding. Married prince charming and living happily ever after. But what was happily ever after. Her world crumbled at 5 years old. A rodeo wreak that led to an addiction and abandonment. Growing up not even knowing who her father was. Once Lou was old enough she applied to collage in New York to get as far away as possible. Then at 15 her mother died in a car accident. By some miracle she had survived. Lisa must have seen her spiraling as her touching her arm brought her back. "Honey?"
Amy turned to look at her. "I'm sorry. I'm just...so overwhelmed."
"That's perfectly normal." The sales lady said smiling warmly and giving the ladies a few minutes.
Amy glanced around at everything. "I honestly have no idea where to start."
"We can start with something simple." Lisa said touching her back back smiling. "When I married your grandfather I started with the easy stuff." She laughed. "He and I so different so I understand the overwhelming part."
"I just don't know what I want. Does it make seem wrong if I choose something I picked the first time?" She asked feeling nervous.
"Of course not." Lisa paused hoping she'd tell her what she was thinking but she didn't.
"Are we ready to try this again?" The lady asked smiling brightly.
Lisa gave Amy a reassuring smile.
"My favourite colours red." Amy said quietly as she looked up to meet the young women's gaze.
"That's a perfect place to start."
Amy smiled at Lisa thankful she was helping her.

"Okay, so there's a lot of red." Ty said as he tossed a book down across the bed he was sitting on. He looked up at Amy who seemed to have the same expression.
"I know right." She forced a laugh.
"Who know planning a wedding would be so... complicated." He sighed as he leaned back on the headboard.
"Do you like the red?" Amy asked now joining him on the bed.
Ty placed his arm around her as she lay on his lap. "Honestly, yes." He said. "It's your favourite colour and it looks good on you." He smiled. "I like the idea of the bridesmaids dresses being red. Using red accents."
"Red velvet cake?" She asked never looking up at him her head still laid in his lap.
"Chocolates my favourite." He shrugged.
"Maybe we should just elope." She said laughing.
"Amy, you don't have to do this on your own. And honestly if Lisa wants to plan the whole thing for you. Let her." He smiled running his hand threw her hair. "She knows what's she's doing."
"The lady at the shop was nice and had a lot going great ideas I just can't exactly see us doing them." She sat up to face him. "I mean do you want some huge church wedding with 200 plus guests at a reception hall?"
"Not really."
"Neither do I." Amy let Ty pull her in closer. "This is supposed to be easy."
"I would marry you in the back field in my jeans." He said placing a kiss to the top of her head.
Amy smiled widely. "I love you so much, you know that."
Ty chuckled. "I love you too."
