Not everything about Elphaba's life has been told to us. For the sake of storytelling, somethings that happened before, after and during the musical were left out. Her story goes beyond the curtains. On her 16th birthday Elphaba meets a certain Vinkun Prince, but she has no idea about how this boy is about to change her life forever. Fiyeraba.

Hello there, everybody? How y'all doing? I'm certainly doing terrible!!!

The last time I published something here was in 2017, before my country was destroyed by a proto-fascist pseudo democratic government (which my whole family supports, by the way. Isn't life wonderful?! ;) I was a little 17 year girl at the time, now I am a nearly 23 year old woman, with broken dreams and a lost love, because I'm not joking around when I say I AM Elphaba, quite literally, I'm not joking, I am literally allergic to water (Google Aquagenic Urticaria if you don't believe me), and my life gets a little bit more like hers by the day.

In 2019 I met my Fiyero (literally, he is musical!Fiyero down to a T: tall, blond, wealthy, foreign, party boy with a collection of ex girlfriends and future ex girlfriends), we fell in love (he was the only person I ever kissed) but can't be together, because he literally lives 10.000Km away from me (in case you live above Mexico and under Canada, that's about 6.200 miles), guess I'll just be sad.

So, this fanfiction doesn't change anything from the musical canon, I just wanted to explore Elphaba's life before and after the show and during intermission, with some details of the during that might have been missing for the sake of storytelling (thus the title), so this story might turn out a bit long, but I want to avoid that.

This story is VERY loosely based on a Brazilian telenovela I love called Chocolate Com Pimenta, which I'm currently binge watching all of the 209, 40 minutes long chapters (that's what telenovelas' episodes are called, because they are television novels). It came out in 2003, around the same time as Wicked and the main soundtrack is Somewhere Over The Rainbow (but sung in Portuguese, Além do Arco-Íris). I grew up watching the original airing and reruns of it, it's one of the most popular telenovelas of all time here in Brazil.

To honor that, Munchkinland is heavily based in Brazil and Brazilian culture, specially Southeastern and Southern Brazil, where I was born and raised (and where I currently am at this very moment).

Currently I only have one chapter done, but if I notice that you guys are liking it, I'll write more, because I do have the whole story planned, beginning to end, so don't forget to like and comment and tell me your opinion.
