Chapter 30: Forbidden Secrets
Due to the early stages of planning they were in Canterlot. Well staying in Canterlot for a while.
It did make sense for such planning.
One of the precautions was learning the layout of the abandoned Diamond Mines under Canterlot.
Of course any information would be in the archive.
Izuku, Momo and Tenya all decided look and see if the map was in the archive.
Of course Twilley and Moon Dancer were there.
They did work in the archive.
There was a lot to go through.
And there was plenty of stuff they needed to figure out.
Unfortunately there a bit of a problem there…
"Recently someone made a huge mess of everything." Said Twilley, "And we need to rearranges everything."
"Which I won't let Twilley do by herself…" said Moon Dancer.
"Which is totally unfair!" said Twilley, "I can do it by myself…"
"Yes… but then you won't pay attention to anything else." Said Moon Dancer.
Twilley pouted.
Momo brought a large pile of mixed up scrolls to the table they were using.
"Before Izuku there's a bunch of spells in there." Said Momo.
"I know I'll be careful." Said Izuku.
Unfortunately he really wasn't and accidently read the spell.
Suddenly he disappeared causing everyone to scream.
After about a minutes he reappeared .
"What just happened?" asked Twilley.
"Well remember shortly after we first arrived." Said Izuku.
Twilley and Moon Dancer were consumed but then Tenya and Momo remembered.
That time a future version of himself suddenly appeared.
That meant the loop had finally been closed.
"That's a relief…" sighed Momo.
"What happened?" asked Twilley.
"It's a time travel spell." Explained Izuku.
"We were there when he accidentally went back to the past." Said Tenya.
"Oh… that makes sense." Said Moon Dancer.
"You didn't seem to be surprised there's a time travel spell." Said Izuku.
"Starswirl the Bearded did a get many things." said Twilley.
"Also I've seen that spell before." Said Moon Dancer.
"Oh that makes sense." Said Izuku.
Izuku job was to put everything in the right place.
This way he wouldn't accidentally read any spell and cause it happen again.
As he was putting thing away he heard muttering.
"They're all distracted good." Said a voice.
Izuku looked around for the voice.
"I have to figure out a way there…" said the voice.
He looked around and saw that something was moving around his hard work.
He couldn't see where the pointy was but aw the tell-tale sign of magic being used on everything.
He knew had to tell everyone else and went to the table to tell them.
"Izuku what's wrong?" asked Twilley.
"I was saw someone disorganizing it." Said Izuku.
"What?" asked Twilley.
"I saw someone using magic to mix things up." Said Izuku .
"But why would someone do that?" asked Tenya.
"I don't know…" said Izuku.
They all looked at each other.
After all it was something that was very concerning.
"Wait you don't think this is some sort of distraction." Said Momo.
"Do you have any idea why someone would do this?" asked Tenya.
"There's a few.." said Moon Dancer.
"What do you think?" asked Izuku.
"Well I doubt it's to make Twilley go crazy." Said Moon Dancer.
"Hey!" said Twilley.
"IT's true." Said Moon Dancer.
Twilley pouted at that.
"However I have a bad feeling about what they're doing." said Moon Dancer.
"Yeah… UI don't think any pony would go that far just to prank me." Sighed Twilley.
"All right." Said Moon Dancer taking charge of this, "Myself, Momo and Izuku will look and see what's going on, Twilley and Tenya will make sure everting's organized."
"All right!" said Twilley.
"We will handle it." Said Tenya.
"Did you give them the job because they would like it?" asked Izuku.
"Yeah…" admitted Moo dancer.
Izuku sighed at that reaction.
The three that were searching began their search for who might be doing it.
Thankfully Moon Dancer literally knew the place like the back of her boof due to working there.
That was when Izuku found a unicorn checking the shelves for some reason.
He used a spell that acted like a signal to the other two searching.
"What is he doing?" asked Momo.
"I don't know…" said Izuku.
"I think he's trying to in forbidden sections." Said Moon Dancer.
The other two looked at her.
"What you don't think there aren't any forbidden section?" asked Moon Dancer.
"Well…" said Izuku blushing realizing it made sense.
"What do you think they're looking for?" asked Momo.
"Who knows… there's so many things that would be in there." Said Moon Dancer.
"Good point…" said Izuku.
"How do we confront him however." Said Momo.
"You're right." Said Izuku.
After all they couldn't have a big fight in there. IT would be a mess and they might end up destroying important things.
Still they watched the unicorn try to figure out what to do.
"This one might be a false wall…" they heard him say to himself.
He looked around.
"If he does something to destroy the books we stop him." Said Moon Dancer.
"Or what if he does damage to the bookshelves." Said Momo.
Moon Dancer was about to say something about stopped herself.
"No you're right." She said.
However before any more could be said there was suddenly a magic blast to them.
They looked at saw it was the unicorn trying find the grabbing areas.
"I thought I distracted you long enough…" said the unicorn.
"There's two of them so she had help." Said Moon Dancer.
"What?" asked the unicorn.
"Don't ask." Said Moon Dancer.
"What are you after?" asked Izuku.
"You really think I'm going to tell a Hero of Equestria?" asked the unicorn.
"He's right you know." Said Moon Dancer.
"I'm sure I'll be able to find a spell to erase members alter." Said the unicorn, "So you know what I changed my mind about telling you…"
"Really?" asked Momo.
"He's getting over confident." Said Izuku.
"You're right." Said Moon Dancer.
"I plan to find as many forbidden spells and take over Equestria." Said the Unicorn.
The three looked at him.
"That's a really bad plan." Said Izuku.
"You won't know about my plan once I train the spells to erase your memories!" taunted the unicorn.
He sent out a spell at them.
However Izuku created a shield to protect them.
"How did you do that?" demanded the unicorn.
"It's a shield spell… it's very basic." Said Moon Dancer.
"Well that's not enough to stop me! I'm a the greatest and I will be even better once I…" said the unicorn.
However he was suddenly cut off as he fell to the floor.
They turned to see that Twilley used a spell on him.
"Sorry but I had to… he's clearly crazy." Said Twilley, "Also I don't want a fight destroying the archives."
"you do have a point about that." Said Izuku.
"Tenya's getting the guards." Said Twilley.
The others nodded.
"Oh and I found the map!" said Twilley.
"Oh that's a relief." Said Twilley.
Thankfully the guards arrived and carried away the guards.
"So it was just a crazy pony." Said Moon Dancer.
"Yeah…" said one of the guards taking him away.
"Not really surprised." Said Moon Dancer.
"Oh man! I was hoping to find a messy archive." Complained another Garuda.
"What?" asked Izuku.
"I mean an epic fight." Said the guard.
"These three in fight that's in a library? It's been done… ' said Discord suddenly appearing.
"What?" asked Izuku.
"Don't ask." Said Discord whop them disappeared.
"So he just disappeared?" asked Moon Dancer.
"Yeah…" sighed Izuku.
The remaining guards just left.
"I think we should clear up." Said Twilley.
"You're right we should." Said Tenya.
The other three looked at them .
"Should we help them?" asked Momo.
"I don't know…" said Izuku.
"We might get in the way." Said Moon Dancer.
"Yeah…" said Izuku.
They let the two organize everything properly, even if they were dealing with a crazy pony trying it take over Equestria, at least it was one that wasn't really a problem… So that worked out.
Next Time: While in Canterlot Katsuki and Shoto end up finding one of those shops... the type that sells forbidden magical, artifacts and then quickly disappear. What sort of thing do they find? Find out next time!
