Narrator pow:

"Here we go!" Dawn exclaimed with positive energy as her Scizor slashed away all of it's opponents, leaving several Team Skull grunts alongside their pokemon lying on the pavement unable to move around. "Now then, how about we give back the stolen-!" She paused, seeing a rather bulky yet casual silhouette approaching them from undeneath the Sun. "things..." she added, turning towards the approaching figure.

"Yo, guys! It's our boy Guzma!" One of the grunts shouted, pointing towards the man who only grinned and shaked his gold chain.

"Well, well, well. What girl is picking on my man?" Guzma asked, taking one of his pokeballs into hand.

"The only thing being picked there is stolen food." Dawn responded, her Scizor standing in front of her and applying Iron Defense on herself.

"A shiny one? Typical style over skill." White haired man responded with a scoff, throwing his pokeball forward and letting his own Scizor into the battle. "But guess what, skill and skull rhymes greatly, just as me and win."

"Hell yes!" One of grunts called out, but was quickly silenced by a bystander's wooden rolling pin.

"Win or not, I won't stand for such daylight robbery." Dawn responded decisively while her Scizor used Iron Defense for a second time.

"Very well then." Guzma nodded, closing his eyes for a moment. "Scizor! Use Agility!" He suddenly shouted, after which his pokemon rushed forward with his arms loosely flying behind it.

"Go with Double Team, then follow with Protect!" Dawn commanded, to which her pokemon nodded by multiplying into two dozens of itself and then setting Pink barriers around too offensive opponent, who stopped in a middle of pink circle.

"Why did you stopped?! Use anything that can break it!" Guzma shouted, while his Scizor used Bullet Punch, X-Scissor repedeately to no effect, as every time a barrier was broken a new come replaced it and any attempt to jumo upwards with Agility were countered by Dawn's Scizor superior speed followed up by Quick Attack.

"You know, this friend of mine was trained specifically for defense and speed." Dawn commented with a confident smile. "You won't beat me this way."

"I know." Guzma gritted his teeth before a malicious smile appeared on his face. "But I have other ways than your silly trap! Go out there Golisopod!" He shouted, throwing his second pokeball forward and releasing a hugh bug with curved human posture covered in a shiny, silver armor.

"One more Double Team please!" Dawn shouted with a slight panic, getting only one more Scizor clone to face off against new opponent.

"As expected, your Double Team has a limitation." Guzma smiled while his Golisopod quickly rushed forward, disappearing from the eyesight for a moment before appearing just in front of his enemy.

"Dodge!" Dawn shouted with panic, her pokemon narrowly escaping the hit before blocking two more punches and backing to the left side from it's trainer perspective.

"Huh?! How did you survive my Golisopod's First Impression?!" Guzma exclaimed, his pokemon just as confused as him.

"I don't know actually..." Dawn nearly muttered, while her Scizor clones ended their Protect spam and rushed on the Gazma's one, throwing at least one hindwred Quick Attacks before throwing him behind his trainer with magled armor and rolling eyes, which turnes into full-on faint mere seconds later.

"Hmph, grrr..." Her Scizor growled, all of them unitong back into singular one between her and the Golisopod.

"... But I think I beginning to understand." Dawn added, moving one of her finger undeneath the chin. "Speed plays a big role, you know?"

"Whatever, just sweep her with Pin Missile." Guzma sighed, clearly unsatisfied while Golisopod send out multiple projectiles at Scizor.

"Quick Attack in all directions!" Dawn shouted all of a sudded, her pokemon rushing away from the impact zone with all it's clones and attacking surprised Golisopod from every possible direction.

"Liquidation! Now!" Guzma shouted while his battle partner created a water blade in his hand and swinged widely with random and quick moves, eliminating five of the clones while the others managed to bypass the last ditch effort and smashed him in almost every distinct bodypart he had. This obviously led to Golisopod suffering a terrible damage up to the point of fainting.

"What! How did you do it again?!" Guzma shouted with panic, seeing his pokemon tumbling on the pavement to him with rolling eyes and unability to move a limb.

"The point is, I didn't." Dawn responded, making him take a step back in confusion. "We did." She added while her Scizor took his stance on her side and rested his arm on her shoulder like a total bro.

"Let me guess, the power of friendship shtick again?" Leader of Team Skull scoffed while his pals behind Dawn were taken one by one from the ground by locals and handed over to four Machamps who have just came to the scene.

"Maybe." Dawn responded with somewhat sassy tone. "But it doesn't change the fact that everyone say the same thing." She added while Officer Jenny came out from beind her with cross look on her face.

"Ghhh... I'll be back for you guys!" Guzma called out to his arrested pals before taking both of his pokemon back into pokeballs and running away.

"Thank you for the help with catching those criminals." Officer Jenny said to the two, looking back at the cheering crowd.

"Eheheh, no problem." Dawn responded, blushing slightly before a distinct cough made her look back up to the apartment's open window.

"Great job down there, ma'am! He didn't know what hit 'em." Engineer congratulated her from the window frame. "Now feel free to walk back by doors when you're done with the official parts, I unlocked the doors back there."

"There we go, mumbles." Scout smiled as he and Butterfree took their stamced against the weirdly motivated Arcanine. "Last chance to give up now, doggy." He added, taking out his pistol which now glowed with yellow and orange lighting around it.

"Woooooof!" Arcanine called out, covering himself with the fire from his mouth.

"Whatever, flame enjoyer." Scout rolled his eyes, checking his magazine. "Butterfree use Confusion."

"Peee!" His pokemon squeaked before sending severel dark pulses form his eyes at the Arcanine, who rished forward with the flames around him but diverged from the straight path and rammed into a tree.

"And now go with Poison Powder." Scout commanded, getting the demanded response as the weird, purple dust appeared around opposing pokemon, who stood up with swell, dark purple cheeks.

"Grawlh!" Arcanine roared, his teeth turning into flame daggers as he jumoed forward to slash the Butterfree.

"Pfheee!" Flying pokemon responded, dodging to the side and then using Gust to slam him into the ground in front of Scout, where the latter was waiting with a pokeball in hand.

"Come to daddy." He said with disrespectful scowl, straight up dropping the pokeball on him and then seeing him come inside of it with the pink mist, which was followed by three wiggles and exploding start when the last one ended. "Flame Wheel and Fire Fang you say? This will be useful." He added to himself before turning around and seeing a gigantic electricity discharge disappearing. "Meh, might aswell come back to these bozos." He added, running with a confident smile back to the others.

"How did the training went?" Engineer asked, as he and Dawn sit down at the sofa while Scizor played with the other pokemons in a civilized way.

"Quite good actually." She responded, taking out her Panic Attack. "Scizor really helped me with the practise and then managed to hold herself in a battle."

"Yeah, I heard all about that." Engie responded, scratching his back before taking his own in hand and looking over it like a quality inspector. "She really is determined to be on your side in a moment of try."

"Oh yes, I'm sure she is." Dawn added, patting Scizor gently on her back. "And I wouldn't have it any other way."

"How are you liking it?" Lillie asked, as she handed over another berry to Eevee she held in her arms for a good hour.

"*Sniff* Eevee!" Small pokemon responded, joyously taking it from her hand and into his mouth.

"He seems to be quite raticated with you." Principal Oak commented, putting in his usual pokemon-themed pun of dubious quality.

"Great to hear it." Lillie responded, looking back at the forest from which the returning group from which a self-gloated Scout and motivated Satoshi were quite distinctive above the rest. "How did it go guys?" She asked, running from the stairs up to them.

"Great! I will uptake in a Island Trials soon." Satoshi responded first, only then noticing what the others had prior to that. "Wait, are you holding Eevee now?"

"Yes I do!" She responded, afterwards looking down at Togademaru and Bounsweet who hugged her legs and freezing in fear again.

"But it applies only to Eevee, still a great progress." Kukui concluded, while Sophocles and Mallow took their pokemon back to themselves and scolding them for misbehaving.

"And I caught an Arcanine." Scout added, throwing his pokeball up and down with a prideful scowl so intense Kiawe was on a verge of vomiting.

"But you still left Eevee behind." Lana pointed out, giving him an angry stare.

"Yup, and that's why I give him away to you." Aiden responded, pointing at Lillie much to everyone's suprise.

"You do?" Lillie asked, taken aback by his decision.

"You know, in my homeregion of Badlands Eevee as a species is in abundance so high that many people such as me don't treasure them as much as they should." Scout explained, looking slightly down at his old partner. "So I think Mumbles should stay with you, especially since I have superior options to fight with known as Butterfree and Arcanine."

"His name is Mumbles?" Mallow asked, confused by the name choice.

"No, that's how I call all of mine pokemon. You can give him a new one since he's yours now." Aiden explained one more thing before looking back at Lillie.

"... I'll call you Chocy, is it good?" Blonde girl asked her pokemon, to which he responded with decisive nod and a pant.

"Chocy? That's an odd name." Sophocles said, scratching his head.

"Choc comes form the full-brown skin that resembles light chocolate." Lillie explained, cherishing her new pet in hands. "The 'Y' at the end is from his tail shape. I do however wonder where it came from."

"Making the smae thing over and over can earlier or later give unexpected results." Scout explained, shrugging his arms. "This includes breeding, which Badlands region uptaken as primary way of obtaining pokemon because of the fact that almost entire place has enviroment only for Ground and Rock type pokemon." He added, putting his pokeball back into the pocket. "But that's enough for a story time, feel free to be happy with him and tell your family about it."

"... Thank you!" Lillie exclaimed before the whole group went into party mode and walked back to the Pokemon School to end the feast with new energy and happy spirits...

... At least for now. For you see, two seeds of distrust were already placed. One in a Island Guardian who hates gloating and second in highly-motivated boy from a farm who also hates gloating...
