Haho! It's been a long, LONG time since I've been on this site. Anyways, I finished watching Code Geass a while ago and decided to type something up. It honestly didn't occur to me until now to actually post it, but regardless here it is. Some key things to note:

WARNINGS: This fic will contain some adult language and explict scenes of torture. The first chapter is relatively clean but there will be some blood. Warnings for each chapter will be at the start. Adult themes on the other hand may appear in later chapters. If you do not feel confident reading those scenes, markings will be made and you will be able to skip (they won't have much to do with plot.)

NOTES: This fic plays out after the zero requiem and after Re;surection. For those who haven't seen it, I definitely recommend (soundtrack is so pretty). There will be references made to it, and the OVA's (Akito the Exiled) will greatly be found in the plot. I guess you can do without it though. Ships include past SuzakuxEuphy and more present LelouchxSuzaku.

Disclamers: I do not own code geass, if I did, more Suzaku for sure but eh, it's still good. I also do not own the cover image, I found the picture on Pinterest and I give full credits to the artist.

Warnings (For this chapter): Blood, and mild gore, angsty thoughts as well.

Welp! Hope you Enjoy. Suzaku Whump Go!

It was over.

It was finally over.

Suzaku stood outside the door of the small house he and Nunnaly remained in and took a deep breath.

Zilkisthan had been one hell of a ride. It had been confusing, feelings of familiarity with each movement that shouldn't have been possible. I had been nerve-racking with near death experiences for both himself and others around him. It had also been….painfully.

Suzaku shuddered at the memory of the late king's obsession with him. The wounds that he earned stung and he could still feel ghosts of the restraints clenching around his limbs.

It was the sound of near silent footsteps that snapped him out of his tense reverie. The brunette turned to see the green haired witch make her way over to his side. She was leaving in a few minutes, along with Lelouch. Lelouch who he thought he had killed. Lelouch who was alive and well because he had received the Code from his late father. Lelouch who was once again leaving him.

The woman stared silently forwards, an air of seriousness around her. The expression on her face didn't change, it never really did. But the way she held herself and the dimness of her eyes gave away the severity of her presence.

"Lelouch won't die." she said evenly, breaking the silence. "He can't die."

Suzaku nodded. "I'm aware."

"But you can."

The brunette turned to question what C.C was saying, but he met her eyes instead. They looked…sad.

"I have a favor to ask of you Suzaku Kururugi."

Oh boy. She used his full name. This was not going to be something good was it?

C.C turned and began to lead the way to the side of the house each step seeming like the weight of centuries rested on her shoulders. Remembering her age and immortality, it probably did.

It was shaded beside the wall, the sunlight being blocked by the building on the left and the walls of stone on the right. There were no windows on this side of the house and with the seclusion they were in, no one would know where they were. C.C kept her back to him and Suzaku began to feel unnerved.

"Since Lelouch has inherited his father's code, I can no longer pass mine on to him." she began and the brunette made note of how her hands clenched. "This means that now, I have to live on until I pass my code onto another. Of course, it's not as bad as before since now I have him to keep me company. However…." she trailed off.

"C.C?" Suzaku asked, a spark of worry igniting in his chest. Sure, the witch was not one of his favorite people, but they had bonded rather well during the Zero Requiem with her being Lelouch's shield and Suzaku his sword.

C.C took a breath.

"I want to die."

Those four words hit the brunette like a truck. C.C wanted to….die? He knew that was her wish a while back, Lelouch had told him about what had gone down in C's word but…he thought she was over this. And with the fact that now Lelouch was immortal, shouldn't she want to stay by his side so that he wouldn't have to suffer like that?

"I know what you're thinking." her voice was calm and leveled not giving away any emotion. "If I die, then Lelouch will be alone. Alone with another code bearer that has no significance to him. It is why I want to ask you this favor."'

Then she turned to him and Suzaku was shocked further into silence. C.C's eyes were wet with tears and wide with an emotion he never thought to see on her.

Her eyes were pleading.

Only her next words could have knocked him straight out of his shock…

"Suzaku, I want to form a contract with you."

And right into another one.

What?

"I want to give you a geass." C.C continued, seemingly ignorant to his turmoil. "And in six months time after it has matured to some extent, pass on my Code to you."

WHAT!?

"C.C-you- I- no." Suzaku blurted out and took two steps back. "I can't. A-and I won't."

C.C simply watched him with a gentle look.

"I know I'm being selfish Suzaku. You already have so much on your shoulders. But if you inherit the Code then I can get my wish and Lelouch won't be alone." Then she reached out towards him, supple fingers, a waiting hand, a never ending future for the taking.

"So if not for me, or yourself, then please. For Lelouch."

It was her pleading tone that got Suzaku to calm down enough to filter through the thoughts in his head.

C.C is offering me her code. An endless life of who knows what. I'm already under the curse of Lelouch's geass, forcing me to live but this. This is ridiculous! Why would I-

An image of Lelouch flashed in his mind. It wasn't even one that should have any significant meaning. It wasn't him in his Zero outfit, or him as the emperor, or even when Suzaku had handed him over to Charles. It was when Suzaku had woken up and seen him sitting by the window. Seen him when he expected never to see him again.

Suzaku hung his head. Why? Why was it always him?

"C.C" he began and the hand in the air flinched. Green eyes looked up and met amber. "I accept the terms of your contract."

The smile the young woman gave him seemed to light up the alley by the house and she extended her hand even further. Suzaku reached out and interlaced his fingers with hers before offering a smile of his own.

That smile however was quickly whipped away as the power of the geass took hold.

The brunette felt himself fall, an endless void of nothing and everything surrounding him. Images of a past long forgotten flashed before his eyes, geass sigils left and right, pools of blood, hordes of bodies, C's world briefly making an appearance before Suzaku found himself back in the world.

A sudden, excruciating pain erupted from his left eye and with a shout of pain he tried to press his hand against it. Instead, C.C, who gave a sound of concern, or was it a yell, kept a hold of his hand using it to pull herself to his side. She wrapped her arms around him and lowered their bodies to the floor. The pain didn't disappear and Suzaku curled deeper into the hold of the green haired woman trying with all his might to stop his shaking.

C.C simply watched and tightened her hold. She felt terrible, placing such a large burden onto the boy's already laden shoulders but…..no, it was simply selfish. She could reason all she wanted but she was using him for her own selfish desires. Lelouch getting to keep his best friend was just a bonus. The eyes of the boy in her arms flickered and rolled back revealing the sigil of geass emblazoned across his left iris. He let out another groan and hunched back inwards hand grasping against his face. C.C let her own hand run through his hair and smiled sadly.

Six months. Six months and a new era for geass would be born.

It was dark. No wait, it was really bright. Green eyes glanced around the endless space of white. Where was he? Nothing stood out to him, in fact, there was nothing to stand out. It was empty. Only he himself was present, there were no other landmarks, only empty nothingness.

Suzaku

The brunette whipped around, intent on finding where the eerie voice was coming from. But there was nothing but white.

Suzaku

"Where are you?" the boy called out and took a step forward. "Who are-"

But any other question died in the back of his throat as his surroundings flickered and everything became coated in blood. All around him, bodies lay drowning in their own life force. There were so many that he couldn't see the end of them .

Suzaku

HIs horror only grew as the bodies had their eyes replaced with a glowing red light and their mouths began to move. A cold, unrelenting grip took hold of his limbs, his heart, his very core.

You killed us.

"N-no I didn't-"

We're dead because of you.

The brunette clutched his head and hunched over.

"No I didn't!"

Traitor.

Murderer.

Monster.

"Shut up, shut up SHUT UP!"

Then the scene flickered again and the bodies were replaced by an endless black. A sudden red light got Suzaku to look behind him only to come face to face with a giant geass sigil. Its bird like form flapping once and-

Suzaku bolted up from his bed breathing heavily and clutching his left eye. He willed his body to stop shaking, to calm down. Taking deep breaths, the eighteen year old managed to lower his heartbeat enough to gather himself. His left eye burned painfully and a sudden urge for water came to mind. Dragging himself out from under his covers the brunette stumbled over to the coffee table in the center of his room and poured himself a cup. As he did so, he couldn't help but think back on the dream. He had been having them for a while now. For about a week. A week since Zilkisthan. A week since Lelouch left. A week since C.C gave him the curse of geass. A sudden flash of the hundreds of bodies came to the forefront of his mind and Suzaku winced-

A crash sounded through the dark room and Suzaku looked down at the floor. The glass he had been holding sat in pieces by his feet, the light of the moon reflecting off its sharp edges, the carpet soaked. He un-clenched his right hand, surprised at the fact that he even dropped the glass in the first place.

It's fine. He thought to himself as he reached to pick up the pieces. Everything will be-

His hand passed through the glass.

"Huh?" Suzaku made a noise of confusion and grabbed at the table only to fall through it and hit the floor.

"W-what!?" He asked no one in particular and, with panic gripping his body, scrambled backwards and away from the cursed items. He-he had passed through them. Like some kind of ghost.

Breathing hard, movement in the corner of his eye got him to look to his left. There was a full length mirror situated on the wall, the movement having been Suzaku's own reflection.

Suzaku's reflection that had its left eye burning with the geass.

Against his better judgment the brunette made a choked sound and slapped his left hand over the curse, stumbling to his feet and lunging for his bed. However, instead of landing on the soft mattress he hit the floor with a thud, his entire body passing through the structure. This time, Suzaku was faster to react and pushed himself up and away. He sat on the floor, keeping his distance from all the furniture and items in his chambers.

Unable to control himself through the panic, Suzaku let out a sob and curled over, fingers digging into the skin above his eye.

"No, stop, please." he whispered. "I don't want this."

His body decided that it had enough trauma for the night, fell over from its seated position and deposited the boy back into nothingness as he succumbed to sleep on the floor.

The terrorist forces were barring down on him and Suzaku could feel the urges of the geass, forcing him to dodge and move like no other human could. But regardless, the enemy was strong.

It had been an emergency mission when a traveling humanitarian aid envoy was attacked by a terrorist group. A group that wanted to eradicate all that existed of Britannia. All the members of the envoy were killed. It was that rage that spurred him to act without hesitation. Leaving the protection of Empress Nunnally to Schneizel, Suzaku donned the mask of Zero and headed out to the battle field. In no time at all, he and a small team quickly eliminated the organization's majority, which had stood out of small grunts. But the big guns were different.

Suzaku scowled and readjusted his grip on his knightmare's controls. Two members of his team had already ejected. The five terrorists stood surrounding him while the weaker forces kept the rest of his team busy.

"You bastard Britannians." yelled a voice through the speakers of an enemy knightmare. "We'll ride the world of you and your fake peace."

Fake peace? Suzaku scoffed. It's the most real peace this world has seen in centuries.

Then, something rumbled underneath Suzaku's Knightmare and the sandy floor caved in. The five terrorists took their chance and barred down on him, lances at ready and aiming for his chest.

Shit. He thought. I can't dodge, not stuck like this.

The lances touched metal, Suzaku felt his left eye burn.

In the next second, the five terrorists found themselves impaled on each others weapon. The weapons that had passed harmlessly through Zero's Knightmare.

"What the…fuck." coughed one of the men before closing his eyes for good.

Inside the cockpit, Suzaku himself was thinking along similar lines.

"My geass…" he mumbled. It seemed that it hadn't simply affected his physical body, but the metal body around him as well. It saved his life.

Suzaku leaned forwards with a sigh and moved his Knightmare forwards, away from his fallen opponents.

"Why me?" he murmured quietly.

The brunette clenched his hands as he made his way down the small path leading to…somewhere. Each step felt heavier than the last and green eyes stared straight forwards, unfocused. It had come that morning. That morning a servant had brought an unidentified letter to his room and upon opening only an address and a sentence were present.

Six months.

And now, Suzaku found himself heading towards the tree in the distance, a shock of green swirling in the wind, taunting, dangerous, and fate sealing.

Why am I doing this? He thought to himself, his gut twisting into knots. I don't want this. I never wanted this.

But before he knew it, Suzaku found himself standing next to the green haired witch. Said witch didn't move, didn't speak. She simply watched the moon hanging over the sky, bathing the world in a cold glow. The sky was cloudless, and the stars were many out at the edge of the bustling city. A gentle breeze blew through the sakura tree beside them, petals of pink swirling around and disappearing into the dark.

"It sounds nostalgic and cliche." began the woman. "But it feels like just yesterday I gave Lelouch his geass." Then she turned to look at the brunette beside her. "And now we're here."

"Ya." Came Suzaku's mumbled reply.

He looked up only when he felt a dainty hand press against his cheek. Long used to C.C's terrible understanding of personal space, he didn't flinch or move away, letting the immortal do what she wanted.

A finger ran under his left eye and she made a happy hum.

"It matured quickly. Not at the stage I desire, but it should be enough." She then smiled and placed her other hand on the other side of his face. "I want to thank you Suzaku." she said sadly.

The boy simply bowed his head.

"Don't thank me. I'm not doing it for you. If anything its for-" But he was cut off by the witch placing her lips on his. He let out a startled noise, muffled as it was, as the woman wrapped her arms around him and indulged herself. It felt…off. Wrong somehow. Cold, emotionless. It felt weird and wet and tasted like…..

A sudden pain erupted from his forehead and Suzaku let out a yell, still muffled. Noticing his distress C.C pulled back and knelt down with the brunette mimicking the time she gave him the geass. Only this time the pain was greater. It felt like Suzaku's very blood was on fire, burning through his veins, melting him apart into his vulnerable building blocks. He hardly even noticed the tears that tricked down his face as memories of his past burst forth, memories he wanted to keep hidden. The deaths of his comrades, Lelouch, his father, Euphy. It was…too much. Far too much. He let his eyes crack open slightly watching through blurry vision as his tears mixed with the blood on the floor-

With a choked sound, Suzaku snapped his head up to see the softy, sad smile of C.C, blood trickling from between her lips. A knife buried deep into her gut.

"C.C…" he breathed in between pained gasps and the woman let a tear of her own fall.

"None of this is your fault." She said and pulled him closer. "I'm sorry." Then she went limp. Still in far too much pain and shock, Suzaku couldn't do anything as the person who served his best friend alongside him slid to the floor. Her blood seeped into the ground, painting the grass bright red. The image was far too similar to his recurrent nightmares.

Suzaku screamed.

Almost halfway across the world Lelouch couldn't help but grumble as he stared up at the ceiling. That damn witch had left him with nothing much more than an apology. And now she was missing for three days. Honestly he was getting worried.

Okay, maybe not that much since she couldn't die but still. Who knows how many bastards were still out there fully intent on taking advantage of the code.

With a huff, the ravenette turned on his side and tried his best to fall asleep.

Well, that's it for now. Next Chapter we get a look at the future!
