heyyyya ...ugh forgive me for taking so long but it was a difficult month and i had to take a break from the story but im back now with a new chapter hope you guys enjoy the new chapter
the team made it out of web valley but are still traveling trough the canyons on their way back to the guild
Natsu: uuugghh how much further?
master Makarov: not much further now my boy we are almost out of the canyon we just have to get trough this path
Natsu: but im stil soooo hungry
Gray: shut it pyro your making it worse
both of them continued to argue while Lucy and Erza walked a little ahead of them
lucy: wel im not in a rush i love to take my time exploring
Erza: that's understandable this world is new to you of course how do you like it so far?
Lucy: its ...time to get use to it to be honest but i love it the people here are kind wel most of them yes they looked at me weird sometimes but that doesnt bother me anymore i don't feel like an outsider anymore sins i have joined the guild and like i said i love to explore my new home more when im with you guys
Erza: im very glad to hear it to be honest i was a little worried
Lucy: how so?
Erza: when we fought lullaby you froze you were in shock you couldn't move i know you snapped out of it and fought with us but still i have to ask are you really okay?
Lucy was quiet for a moment and sight
Lucy: i..when i saw lullaby in his true form ..i felt it ..the same feeling of those monsters who destroyed my people .. i saw it ...i saw it happening again
Erza: Lucy...
Lucy: but it was because of master that i snapped out of it he reminded me that i wont fight alone anymore and gave me the strength to fight my fears
Erza smiled at the angel
Erza: ..our master is quit something isn't he
Lucy: he is indeed
Erza: its good to hear your feeling better you know i wasn't the only one who was worried about you Gray and Nastu were very worried to especially Natsu
Lucy: really?
Erza: yes he really had the trouble leaving your side
Lucy turned around to look at Natsu who was still arguing with Gray and smiled and blushed a little
Lucy: ..thank you guys really
Erza smiled and grabbed Lucy giving a side hug
Erza: of course anytime you need us
the group walked for an half hour when they reached a big open field with many crackes on the ground
Gray: this doesn't look stable ground
Natsu: do we have to go trough here?
Master Makarov: im afraid there's no other way lets go ahead but be careful and watch your step
everyone walked carefully trough the field hearing the cracks all over
Lucy: we have almost reached the end
Gray: yeah try not to mess it up Natsu
Natsu: what you say ice freak!
Natsu stomped hardly on the ground forgetting the unstable ground
Natsu: ...uh oh
Gray: you IDIOT
then the ground below then broke and they al fell down into the hole
Lucy: Natsu grabbed master and Happy carry Natsu il take Erza and Gray
Happy: aye!
Natsu: on it!
Natsu held on to master while Happy grabbed Natsu on his jacket and Lucy grabbed both Gray and Erza arms around them and unfolds her wings trying to slow down the falling with much trouble but eventually they made it to the ground landing softly
Natsu: nice work buddy
Happy: aye!
Gray: few that was close thanks for the save Lucy
Erza: yes much appreciate it
Lucy said nothing and fell back on the ground breathing heavy
Gray: uhh you okay?
Lucy: yeah...just ..give me ..a few ..seconds ..to catch my breath
Erza: i apologize gray should have lose more weight
gray and Lucy : (says the one wearing heavy armor)
Natsu helped Lucy up and starts to look around
Natsu: were are we exactly?
master Makarov: your guess is as good as mine my boy
Gray: any chance you could fly us back up?
Lucy: no sorry Gray I'm all out of strength
Happy: and i cant do it all on my own
Gray: so were stuck here
they all look around trying to find a way out and eventually Erza sees a opening
Erza: i think i see a way out of here
Master Makarov: alright lets head that way but be careful we don't know what's down here
everyone: right
then everyone headed to the opening staying close to each other and Lucy using her magic to light the path for them
Natsu: how far do you think this tunnel goes?
Lucy: i don't know it could be endless i wonder if there's anything down here
Natsu: something to fight!
Lucy: sigh of course
Happy: that's Natsu for ya
they keep walking until they see light at the end
Happy: hey there is the exit
Gray: finally
when they reached the end they came out of the cave
Lucy: few glad we got out
Ezra: same here but i have no idea where we are i don't recognize it here
Gray: lets just keep moving who knows maybe we see a familiar path later
they keep walking trough the unknown path later they notices something strange about the path
Erza: somethings not right this isn't a normal path look at the mountain walls its not straight ..
Gray: yeah now that you say it your right its almost like something big came trough here ..like crashing from the sky
Master Makarov: hmmm
then further ahead they see something very big sticking in the ground
Natsu: hey what's that?
they walked to the strange object and when they see it closer they see its a statue broken in pieces
Gray: ..a statue ?
Erza: what is it doing here ?
When Lucy took a closer look at the statue she sees something familiar ..to familiar and looked with wide eyes
Lucy: ..no ..no ..impossible
Lucy flew quickly closer to the broken statue
Natsu: Luce?!
everyone followed her to the statue Lucy taking a closer look at it and wipes off the sand she sees a familiar emblem ...the emblem of her people
Lucy: ...ancestor...
then she ran further ahead
Natsu: Luce wait what's wrong?!
Master Makarov: ...im afraid i think i know what is going on
she kept running and running and later she sees ruins of a huge building and stops and starts trembling and the rest catches up with her looking at her with worried eyes
Erza: Lucy...what's wrong?
then Lucy felt to her knees tears started to come out and Natsu and Happy immediately kneeling next to her
master Makarov: ...look closer at the ruin
everyone stared closer at the ruin searching for a clue and finally they see a winged emblem on the building and finally realised what this means
Natsu : Luce ...is this?
Lucy only nodded her head her face full of tears
Lucy: ...this...this was my home
Erza had her hand on her mouth Gray only looked in shock master had his eyes closed in sadness Happy crashed into Lucy tears in his eyes and Natsu hold Lucy very close giving her a hug he feels her trembling so much she holds most of her sadness inside her not letting it go
Natsu: dont hold it back Luce..
Lucy turns her head to Natsu
Natsu: you dont have to stay strong for us
Master Makarov: he is right my dear let al you sadness anger and your guilt remember whatever happens you wont go trough it alone
Lucy stared at all of them letting out more and more tears and starts shaking and then finally she screams to the sky letting all the sadness anger and guilt that she build up from the beginning
later Lucy calmed down and then the team headed to the ruined building taking a closer look
Gray: so ..this was your home?
Erza: its enormous ..its like a palace
Lucy: ..that's because it was ..i didn't told you guys but...i came from a royal family... i was princess Lucilia goldwing
everyone: WHAT?!
Lucy: ...yup
everyone looked at her mouths open
Lucy: ..uhm guys?
Gray: HOLY CRAP SHES ROYALTY
Natsu: AND ACT LIKE ITS NOTHING
even Erza felt to one knee
Erza: please forgive me if i was disrespectful to you at the beginning if you want you can punish me
Lucy: uhhh
Makarove only snickers then Lucy let out a laugh
Lucy: haha guys it change nothing im stil the same Lucy and besides i didn't care about my title then and i don't care about it now
everyone smiles at her
Erza: couldn't have said it better myself
then Lucy turned back at the building
Lucy: i want to look around a bit
Erza: you want us to go with you?
Lucy: no il be fine i wont take long
Erza: alright we wil wait here for you take as long as you need
Lucy nodded and went ahead
Erza: ...i heard the story but stil...
Gray: ..i know
Natsu said nothing and stil looked at the angel walking ahead of them
walking around Lucy looking at the rubble while in her thoughts
Lucy:( where it all began ... 100 years ago its stil hard to believe i was frozen for so long its a miracle Natsu found me )
then she grabs her mothers ring hanging around her neck
Lucy: ( you saved me ..mother i wil keep my promise to you)
then suddenly something she sees something under the rubble
Lucy: what's that?
she headed to the rubble and starts to dig and eventually she sees something gold
Lucy: oh
what she found was her fathers crown half broken
Lucy:( father ..im so sorry ..i couldn't save you both)
she held the crown closet to her chest but when she thought she found was she was looking for there was stil something under the rubble
Lucy: huh what else could be there?
she digged deeper and deeper and later
Lucy: ..no way
what she found under the rubble was a broken golden sword wings engraved at the top of the hilt and the family emblem
Lucy: my fathers sword ...my ancestors sword
she stood up and took the crown and the sword with her and walked back heading to the rest of the team
back with the team they looked around the ruins
Erza: that such spell exist i cant imagen how Lucy would have felt to have to activate such a spell of destruction..
Gray: i know ..she shouldn,t have to bear this burden alone to sacrifice her home like this to stop those demons ..didn't they had any other choice?
master Makarov: if there was another way to stop them they would have done it instead telling their daughter to destroy her whole home and to carry this burden ... what she told us their forces where immense and they were never prepared ..
Natsu: didn't she said those demons were sealed away by a gate?
Erza: indeed she also said the seal couldn't be broken from their side of the gate which means..
Master Makarov: ..they got help from the other side
Natsu got angry hearing this clenching his fist
Natsu: if that's true that bastard is gonna pay for this
Gray: how are we gonna do that you idiot it was 100 years ago he or she is possibly long death by now
Natsu punched the ground in anger
Natsu: we have to do something that son of a bitch caused all the suffering to Luce
everyone got silend not knowing what to say to say
Happy: heyy she's back!
everyone turned around to see her coming their way carrying two items with her
Lucy: hey..im back
Natsu: hey how are you feeling?
Lucy: im alright i just found something that i lost
she showed the broken crown and the sword
Gray: are those your fathers?
Lucy: yes well the crown is but this sword was from my ancestor
Happy: you mean the guy from the statue?
Lucy: yeah ..
Erza: may i take a look at the sword?
Lucy nodded and gave Erza the sword and she closely inspect it
Erza: its beautiful...the sword took a bad beating but i know a smith who can fix the damage it would look as good as new don't worry for the cost i can take care of it
Erza handed the sword back to Lucy and gave a sad smile
Lucy: thats very kind of you Erza but ... i know a better place for the sword
Lucy walked back to the front of the ruined palace and the rest followed she gave the sword one more look and then stabbed the sword into the ground then she placed the crown on top of the hilt and last she took of her mothers ring hanging from her neck and placed it on the sword to
Lucy: you are all home ...mother... father ...ancestor
she knelt one more time and says her goodbyes one last time to her parents
Lucy: goodbye mother father may you rest in peace with our people
then Lucy stepped back but then the master and the others stepped forward and knelt to
Erza: you dont have to worry about your daughter ..
Gray: we wil keep an eye on her you can leave it to us
Happy: yeah we all will
Natsu: right she is one of us we wil never abandon her
Master Makarov: i make a solem promise to look after your daughter and love her as one of my own child
Lucy got tears in her eyes again but this time its from happiness
Lucy: ..you guys ..thank you
Erza: you ready to head home?
Lucy: yeah ..lets go home
they all turned around and headed back from where they came from then Natsu noticed something and stopped he turned around and saw a two figures standing by the sword engulfed in light his eyes widened
Natsu: ...(no way)
they both smiled at him and the woman placed both hands on her heart
Layla: ...thank you
then they both vanished in the air Natsu smiled and turned back catching up with the rest
aaand thats that hope you liked the chapter il upload the next chapter next weekend and this time il make it happen again im so sorry for not uploading for so long
