"Is the bastard still alive? We heard the screams but we haven't called anybody yet like you said," Amarro said when he saw Elliot walk out with Olivia in his arms, his jacket covering most of her naked form.

Elliot sighed "yeah he is but god I wish he wasn't, your good to call now we're done in there. He's restrained but 1 of you need to go in there and formally read him his rights. He'll need an ambulance too, I need 1 of you to drive me and Liv to Mercy general in my rental car."

Amaro sighed "can't you just drive her yourself? We both need to be here to brief Cragen when he gets here."

Elliot shook his head as Olivia was slightly gripping his shirt in her fist "I'm not putting her down right now Amaro, not until she gives me the indication that she wants that and there's not a chance in hell that she'll be riding in the same ambulance as that piece of shit."

Olivia sighed slightly "I-it's fine El I don't want Cragen to be any more pissed at them than he probably already is. I'm a big girl I can sit in the seat beside you while you drive."

He nodded slightly "are you sure sweetheart? No one will fault you right now for wanting to be in my arms after what you've been through."

She nodded "I'm sure El, and you may as well give your arms a break now because once we're at Mercy I'm gonna need them more than ever," she said as she tried to chuckle slightly, doing her best to ease Elliot's worried mind.

Elliot didn't chuckle back but he did give her a small smile as Fin walked over "uniformed officers should be here in about 5 minutes, the press will be here too so I'd get her out of here now. We'll be down there as soon as we can to get both of your statements, me and Amaro will have to talk to IAB I'm sure of that."

Elliot nodded "good luck with the rat squad Fin, for what it's worth I hope you guys don't get in to any trouble because of me."

A little late for apologies Elliot, Fin thought to himself as he nodded "thanks Elliot I hope we don't too. Hey her shoulder looks out of socket you want me to try to pop it back into place before you guys go?"

Elliot looked to Olivia as she shook her head slightly and he nodded back at her "no thanks Fin, if it gives her to much trouble on the way I'll pull over and do it."

He nodded "alright then," he said as he then stepped away to help Amaro put up the crime scene tape as Elliot gently sat Olivia in the front seat of the car "can you buckle your seatbelt or do you need me to do it for you?" he asked softly not wanting to assume and do to much.

"I can try," Olivia said as it took her a minute but she managed to accomplish the task as Elliot smiled and kissed the side of her head gently "I'm just gonna walk around to the drivers side," he said softly.

Olivia nodded slightly and let him shut her door gently as soon they were on the road as she gripped his hand in hers.

"Are you hungry honey?" he asked after a few minutes of stroking the back of her hand with his thumb.

She shook her head slightly "not really I'm really queazy from all the vodka and pills he made me take. I'm really thirsty though."

Elliot nodded "I think I've got half a cold coffee in here and Nick left his spright... would 1 of those do?"

Olivia thought for a minute "I-I can try the spright," she said as she reached into the back seat to get it as she winced and whimpered in pain as Elliot's heart broke into yet again "do you need me to pull over and get it sweetheart? I don't mind," he said softly.

She shook her head slightly "I-I can do it, thank you for offering though."

He nodded "no problem honey," he said as after 5 more minutes of watching her try to reach it but failing because of her badly broken wrist and displaced shoulder he shook his head and pulled over to the shoulder of the road "I can't watch you struggle anymore when there's absolutely no reason for it," he said softly as he grabbed the bottle and uncapped it as just before he could put it to her lips her hand shot out, grabbing the bottle and she took over, giving herself a few sips of the spright.

"Honey I wouldn't have... I was just gonna..."

She nodded slightly "I-I know I just panicked I'm sorry..."

He shook his head slightly "no need to be sorry honey... I wont lie and say that it didn't hurt my heart a little but I get it I promise," he said softly as he started driving again.

Once he was on a straight patch of road again she tentatively reached her hand back out to him as he took it gently with no hesitation as he resumed rubbing it slightly "El I owe you an explanation," she said after a few minutes of silence.

He shook his head "no you don't baby I should have asked first."

She shook her head slightly "you never had to ask me before we playfully gave each other sips of water or coffee all the time... It's just Lewis... he..." she shuddered slightly in her seat.

Elliot continued stroking the back of her hand "your safe now sweetheart, that bastard is never gonna hurt you again."

She nodded slightly "god I hope your right El..."

He smiled "I am sweetheart I promise I am, and even if the courts screw up and let him walk he'll still have to go through me before he can get to you."

She smiled slightly "I don't think I've ever loved your overprotectiveness more than I do in this moment."

He smiled slightly "I'm glad it's helping you feel safe," he said as they were now just under 10 minutes from the hospital "I still need to explain to you why I reacted the way I did," she said as she squeezed his hand a little tighter.

Elliot shook his head slightly "baby why don't you wait a while? Your about to have to get poked and prodded at in there and unless you want me out of the room when you give your statement I plan to be right there holding your hand so I'll hear every thing then."

She nodded slightly "are you sure you wanna sit in there for that El? You've been away from SVU for a while and I don't wanna..."

Elliot shook his head quickly, cutting her off "Olivia your my wife... And we're here for each other for better or worse that's how this works... You were there for me through Jenna, you supported me with IAB, kept me from turning myself into a drunk depressed mess... Please, please let me return the favor Liv... Let me be for you what you were for me."

She nodded slightly and gave him the best side hug she could considering that he was driving, desperately trying to hide the shooting pain that ripped through her arm and shoulder "t-there's no one that I want in that room with me more than you Elliot Stabler.. I wish you could ask the questions too but they wont allow that."

Elliot smiled slightly at her words as he gently moved her arm back to her side then retook her hand "don't move your arm anymore honey all it does is hurts you... And no promises but I'll talk to Cragen, see if he'll let me do the talking."

She nodded slightly "thank you Elliot, what do you want me to say about how Lewis got his injuries our stories need to match when our statements are taken."

"It's no problem honey.." He said as he then sighed slightly "I'm gonna tell them that the blowtorch was still on when I got into the room , that it fell off the bed and landed on his crotch and that I pulled it off of him as soon as I noticed."

She nodded "sounds good and when we beat him we were just using necessary force to subdue him?"

He nodded "yeah," he said softly as he stroked the back of her hand with his thumb.

She nodded slightly and squeezed his hand "I've got your back El."

Elliot smiled and nodded "I have yours too Liv," he said softly as he gently pulled his hand from hers to put the car in neutral and pull the keys out of the ignition once he had parked.

"You ready sweetheart?" he asked softly.

Olivia didn't respond, her eyes glazed over and focused on the keys.

"Liv? Honey?" Elliot coaxed gently, trying to get a response.

After a minute her eyes darted up to his "e-el?"

He nodded slightly "it's just me honey, are you ready to go inside?"

She nodded slightly "a-as ready as I'll ever be.. Do you have anything I can cover up with? I don't wanna walk around in just a bra and panties."

He nodded slightly "you can use my jacket it'll cover you up somewhat... As for your clothes I'm sorry I don't have anything baby I just wanted to find you and nothing else was going through my head in that moment."

She nodded slightly "I understand," she said as once the jacket was on her they headed into the hospital, Olivia leaning heavily against Elliot as his arm was wrapped gently around her waste.

"This is my wife Olivia Stabler, s-she's been through a trauma and we need doctors and nurses that have experience with that," Elliot said to the charge nurse once at the admission desk.

The nurse nodded "I understand completely Mr. Stabler, I'm so glad that she was found safe I saw the news on my lunch break."

He nodded "me too, god me too where do I need to take her?"

She smiled slightly "have a seat with her in the waiting room over there," she pointed in the general direction "we have an incoming trauma patient, once he's situated we'll take her back. I'm Sharron Hall by the way if you guys need anything."

Elliot sighed heavily knowing exactly who the patient probably was "I'm Elliot Stabler, and if that's William Lewis that's coming in he needs to be kept away from her."

She nodded "we'll do our best," she said as she got back to work and Elliot headed to a quiet corner of the waiting room to wait with Olivia.

"That's Olivia Stabler, I saw her picture on the news I thought she hadn't been found yet," a lady in the waiting room whispered to her friend.

The friend shook her head "I got the alert on my phone ten minutes ago that said she had been found Martha, there weren't a lot of details though."

Martha nodded her head "you think that man found her Gretchen? I hope he's her husband if not her husband will be pissed that another man's holding her like that.."

Gretchen shook her head "who knows honestly but the shape that she's in even if it isn't her husband I doubt he'll care."

She nodded and sighed "yeah I know that poor woman... she'll probably have selfesteem issues for the rest of her life.."

Olivia buried her head further into Elliot's chest hearing them talking about her as he sighed and gently rubbed her back "ladies that's enough she can hear you, and yes I'm her husband."

They both quickly nodded, their faces turning red as they ended the conversation as Elliot's phone rang "Stabler," he answered in a low voice.

"Hey dad it's me, I just thought I'd let you know that my flight landed a few minutes ago. Where do you need me?"

Elliot sighed slightly "maybe you could go by our house, grab Olivia some comfortable clothes?"

"You found her!!? Ohh thank god!!" Kathleen said, voice full of relief.

"Hey easy on the shouting Katie... And yeah I found her we're at the ER."

She nodded "thank god... which 1 are you guys at?"

"We're at Mercy general," Elliot said as he watched Olivia's breath even out as she fell asleep on his chest.

She nodded "alright I'll find her some clothes dad, do you want me to go get Izzabella and bring her to the hospital?"

Elliot shook his head "no honey that's not a good idea we might call and talk to her later but right now my focus needs to be 100% on Olivia."

Kathleen nodded "alright dad I understand, I'll see you guys later," she said as she hung up as Elliot sighed seeing his phone was at 12% battery as he turned it off to conserve it as he then gently rubbed her back and stroked her hair, hoping to keep her in her peaceful sleep for as long as possible.

"Olivia Stabler!" A nurse called after about 15 more minutes as she startled awake "shhh it's alright honey," Elliot soothed.

Olivia slightly nodded as she raised her head from his chest "sorry I fell asleep on you here like that El."

Elliot shook his head with a smile "no need to ever apologize for that honey my chest will always be your pillow anytime you want it," he said as he gently helped her stand and they made their way back to triage.

"Hi Mr. and Mrs. Stabler, my name is Caroline and I'll be your triage nurse today."

Olivia slightly smiled "it's nice to meet you Caroline and Olivia is fine."

She nodded her head "can you tell me what brings you in this afternoon Olivia?"

She nodded slightly "I was abducted and assaulted by a serial predator, I-I need to be tested for hepatitis c the man used a dirty needle on me and stuck himself with the same one."

She nodded "alright we can definitely do that was there anything at all in the needle?"

She nodded slightly "h-heroine. I didn't want it he forced the needle into my veins," she said showing Elliot and the nurse where he had jabbed her.

"Oh baby..." Elliot said softly as he gently stroked the area on her arm as Caroline frowned "Mr. Stabler until we get the test results back for sure your gonna need to be really careful about how and where you touch your wife."

Elliot glared slightly "I'm not worried about it I'm more worried about giving her comfort right now."

She nodded and sighed "I just needed to make you aware of the risks, as long as none of her blood gets into an open wound on your body and you abstain from sexual activity though you should be fine."

He nodded "alright," he said as pretty soon her vitals had been read "your really dehydrated Olivia, however that doesn't surprise me any considering that you were held captive for almost 24 hours. You've got a badly broken wrist and Doctor Barisferd is probably gonna wanna X-ray it. Also we need to get your shoulder back into place so it'll stop causing you so much pain. For now though I'm gonna take you to a room , get an IV set up and get you into a hospital gown does that sound good?" Caroline asked Olivia.

Olivia nodded slightly "can Elliot come too?"

Caroline nodded "yes of course but he'll have to stand outside while you change into the gown."

She took a deep breath then nodded slightly "a-alright, but he comes in as soon as I finish."

She nodded "that's totally fine Olivia are you gonna need to have a rape kit done?"

She shook her head "no he didn't get that far with me."

She smiled slightly "I'm glad to hear that," she said as she started to help her stand as Olivia glanced at Elliot "it's okay honey I'm right here, I'll be right behind you guys," he said as she slightly nodded and they slowly walked to the room.

"Okay Olivia unfortunately since we have several people in the emergency room today your gonna be sharing the room with another trauma victim, the curtain is divided though so she wont be able to see anything your not comfortable with and vice versa."

Olivia nodded slightly "as long as you give Elliot a decent chair to sit in beside my bed that's all I care about."

She nodded "don't worry hun your husband will have a place to sit, and even if he didn't I have the funny feeling that he'd stand beside your bed and in our way," she said with a slight chuckle as she handed her the gown.

Olivia chuckled and slightly smiled "y-your probably right she said as with Caroline's help she managed to change into the hospital gown "Olivia how'd you get all of those burns? Caroline asked.

Olivia shuddered slightly "Lewis , the guy that kidnapped me... He burned me with every metal object he could get his hands on..."

She nodded "I'm so sorry to hear that... I hope they lock the man up and throw away the key," she said as she helped ease Olivia down into the bed "do you trust your husband to treat all these? With your wrist your probably gonna be unable to do it yourself and these burns will need to be cared for."

She nodded slightly "I trust Elliot with my life... He'll need to be shown how though I don't think he's ever seen anything like them before."

She nodded "we'll show him what to do, would you like for me to get him now?"

Olivia nodded "please," she said as Caroline nodded and stepped out into the hall to get him as Olivia sunk down further in the bed and covered herself with the sheet.

Less than a minute later Elliot walked in to the room as Caroline walked in behind him with a rolling chair "where do you want this mr. Stabler?" She asked.

Elliot slightly smiled "put it on her right side up by her head I don't wanna be on her hurt side and end up hurting her."

She nodded "alright," she said as she did just that "someone will be in soon to get her IV started and her bloodwork done," she said as she then left the room.

When Olivia saw Elliot sit in the chair she smiled slightly and scooted closer to him "hey hey don't move to much honey let me do that part I just want you to be comfortable."

Olivia slightly smiled "I'm not a fragile doll El besides your sitting on my good side remember?"

Elliot smiled and nodded "both of your sides are good sides.." he said softly as he took her hand in his and stroked her hair with his free one.

Olivia smiled slightly and yawned "I love you El."

"I love you too sweetheart," he said softly as the soothing motion of his fingers in her hair had her dozing with in 30 seconds.

Sadly the nap was short lived though as a nurse walked into the room "hi my name is Hope, I'm here to put the IV in and draw some labs."

Elliot nodded slightly and rolled around to Olivia's other side "go easy on her please she's had a really traumatic couple of days."

Hope nodded and smiled "don't worry she's in great hands I've done this a few times."

Elliot frowned slightly "a few times? I hope you've done this a lot of times if your some trainee that just needs to get her needle pricks in I suggest you leave now."

Hope sighed "every thing will be fine," she said as once they explained to Olivia what was gonna happen she started to look for a vain.

"I don't see anything..." Hope said as Olivia squeezed Elliot's hand.

Elliot nodded "that doesn't surprise me the bastard that took her didn't give her any water."

She frowned "that's just wrong... Damn has she been using?" she asked seeing all the needle tracks on Olivia's arm.

Elliot glared "if you had read her chart before you came in here you'd know that he forced her to do heroine by shooting it into her veins."

She sighed and nodded "I think I'll just be quiet now."

Elliot smiled "good idea," he said as he rubbed Olivia's hand and stroked her hair as Hope decided she'd try to use the track marks as a guide as she gently used an alcohol pad to clean the area then inserted the needle.

Olivia winced and teared up immediately as the spot was extremely tender "I know baby I know I know..." Elliot said softly as he kept trying to soothe her every way he knew how as when the nurse started to dig Olivia lost it, going into a full blown flashback as she jerked her arm away from her and rolled away from the both of them.

Elliot glared at the nurse "do you see what you've done!? Get out of here!" he demanded as Hope left the room quickly , intimidated by him.

"No no no no no no, no no no... I can't take any more no," Olivia cried from her position at the foot of the bed.

Olivia baby.. It's me, it's El the nurse is gone your safe here..."

"I-I can't take anymore Lewis... no no no." She cried, still in her flashback state as she thought she was on the bed at the beach house.

"Do I need to page a nurse?" The dad of the patient that they were sharing the room with asked.

Elliot shook his head "no that's the last thing she needs right now," he said as the dad nodded slightly and Elliot focused back on Olivia as he walked to the foot of the bed and kneeled down, making himself look as nonthreatening as possible "Olivia sweetheart your okay, your not there anymore honey... your at the hospital, I'm right here with you and your safe now... Look into my eyes..." he said as he was speaking in a calm soothing voice.

Olivia stopped thrashing around and crying as Elliot smiled slightly seeing that as a good sign "that's it sweetheart... That's it now just look at me, look into my eyes..."

Olivia took another moment as she then turned her head to look at him "e-El? Is that you?"

Elliot nodded "yeah it's me sweetheart, just me your safe now I promise.."

She nodded slightly and reached out for him as he gently pulled her into his arms then got off the floor "I'm sorry that nurse did that to you baby i don't know what the hell she was thinking.."

Olivia sighed slightly "s-she was just trying to do her job and I overreacted."

Elliot shook his head slightly "you have every right to overreact and I'm gonna make sure that when they try again that they get you somebody with some experience."

Olivia nodded slightly "hey El?"

"Hmm?"

"w-would it be to much to ask if..." she then shook her head at herself and closed her eyes.

"What is it honey you can ask me anything."

She nodded slightly and leaned into his ear "w-will you stay on the bed with me? Just until they finish with this part?"

Elliot nodded his head "I'll try... I don't know if i'll fit but I'll try..."

She nodded slightly "thank you El."

He nodded "it's no problem sweetheart," he said as pretty much as soon as they had situated themselves again another nurse walked in "hi I'm Jennifer, shall we give this another try?"

Elliot looked at her "are you experienced in doing IV's?"

She nodded "yes sir I am, I've worked in the emergency room for 3 years and I know about what she just went through with a needle, I brought our vain finder so hopefully we'll be able to get 1 the first time."

Elliot nodded as he looked at Olivia who gave a slight nod "we'll give it a try," he said to the nurse.

Jennifer nodded with a slight smile but just as she was about to grab the vain finder she saw a tiny one pop up on her wrist "ah looks like I don't need to use this thing after all, I see one right here," she said as she tapped the spot gently with her finger.

Elliot frowned "are you sure trying that one is a good idea? Last time i was in the hospital and my IV was there it blew several times and they had to redo it over and over."

Jennifer slightly smiled "I can do it with out it blowing I know I can."

He nodded his head and sighed slightly as he went back to soothing Olivia while Jennifer gently inserted the needle "your doing great Olivia..." she said softly as Elliot watched the vain start to blow "it's gonna blow, it's gonna blow. Dammit!" he said when he watched the vain blow as tears streamed down Olivia's cheeks as he rocked her in his arms.

"That poor woman's been through enough already you guys need to get somebody in here who knows what the hell they're doing!" George, the other patients dad said as Cragen walked into the room "what the hell did I miss?"

"All 3 of you gentlemen need to calm down... Jennifer said as she looked to Cragen "sir right now probably isn't the best time to question Mrs. Stabler about her ordeal."

He nodded "I'm not looking to question her right now but she's 1 of my top detectives and I'm here to see her and would like to know why she's so distraught right now."

Elliot sighed "she's upset because this is the second nurse that's jabbed her with a needle in the past half hour and there's still no IV to come of it. Next time I'm gonna do it my damn self and I'm not sticking her till I know it'll stay put."

Cragen just nodded, sighed slightly and had a seat in the now abandoned rolling chair "Mr. Stabler unless you have a nursing license we can't allow you to do that," Jennifer said.

Elliot sighed "I don't have a nursing license no but I've had to do it once before several years ago we were in a car crash and the medics had to show me how because they couldn't get into the car."

Jennifer sighed "I'm sorry but that doesn't qualify as far as this hospital is concerned."

Elliot sighed and glanced at Olivia whose tears were finally dry as she shook her head "I'm not a pin cushion a-and I'm done being used as one."

He nodded and leaned into her ear "are you done done or are you alright with me trying it?"

Olivia sighed slightly "e-El are you sure you even remember how?"

He nodded and stroked her back "of course I remember how sweetheart if I didn't remember how I wouldn't have suggested it... But if you don't want me to I completely understand.."

She slightly nodded "o-okay you can, but only you and you only get one shot."

He nodded "that's a deal sweetheart and you know I always keep my promises."

She nodded a bit "that you do and it's 1 of the many reasons why I love you," she said as Jennifer sighed "I'm gonna go get my supervisor this is way over my head," she said as she walked out.

Cragen sighed "Elliot what the hell makes you think that this is a good idea? That you can do it any better than experienced nurses can?"

Elliot sighed "I know I can do it, I know I can and at least this way I know that I'll be gentle regardless... This way she'll have somebody doing it who cares about what she's been through... Who will care if he accidentally hurts her..."

Cragen sighed slightly "I see your point but could you handle the guilt if you did hurt her? If when you tried it you blew a vain like the other nurses did?"

He sighed slightly "probably not... But that's why I'm not doing anything until I'm damn sure I can get it."

Cragen just sighed heavily and nodded his head "you are something else Elliot Stabler... Something else, I thought when you retired that you would have mellowed out a bit, become a little less of a rule breaking rebel but I was wrong."

Elliot just smiled slightly "I'd do anything for Olivia, anything and you should know that."

He nodded "I definitely do know that," he said as he walked over to Olivia "hey Liv how are you holding up?"

She gave him a small smile "I'm doing okay considering captain."

He slightly smiled "I'm really glad to hear that, it goes with out saying that your officially on medical leave."

Olivia nodded slightly "I'm not gonna give you any arguments on that. I think I'm gonna need more than a month too."

He nodded "for now I have you down for 2 months but if you end up needing any more all you'll have to do is give me a call."

Olivia slightly nodded "thank you captain... Is there any way that me and Elliot can give our statements tomorrow? Once I get out of here all I wanna do is sleep and if I'm tired Elliot's gotta be ten times tireder than me."

"I'm fine baby," Elliot said softly as Cragen chuckled slightly at him "yeah yeah somehow I don't believe that you've been awake and going nonstop for almost 30 hours. Have you even had anything to eat?"

Elliot smiled some "yeah yeah I had a piece of pizza at the precinct yesterday."

Cragen shook his head "how the hell are you still standing Elliot? You ate that piece of pizza at noon yesterday, that's been 26 hours."

Elliot slightly smiled "I was in the Marines way back when remember? They gave us endurance training and it's really come in handy."

Cragen just frowned as Olivia used her strength from her good arm to pull herself out of Elliot's arms "El go to the hospital cafeteria and get yourself something to eat. I'll be fine here while your gone."

Elliot shook his head slightly "honey I'm fine I promise..."

Olivia sighed slightly as she thought "captain please, please go get him something to eat, and something good too."

Elliot smiled "if your gonna play that game Liv I can play it too, grab her some soup or something would you?"

Olivia sighed slightly "as good as that sounds I don't have the strength to eat it right now."

Elliot smiled "well that's what my hands are for honey."

Olivia shook her head "no way are you feeding me in front of people Mr.! Nice try though," she said in a chuckle as she actually smiled a genuine smile as she was enjoying their banter.

Elliot smiled seeing her smile "you guys are funny," the young girl in the bed next to them said as this was the first time she had spoken all afternoon as it was the girl that Elliot rescued.

Olivia smiled slightly and looked at her "he's the funny one aren't you Elliot," she said as she winked at him "my name's Olivia what's yours?"

The young girl slightly smiled "I'm Amber."

Olivia smiled slightly "it's nice to meet you Amber," she said as Cragen smiled "I'm just gonna grab you both something and if you eat it you eat it and if you don't you don't."

Elliot nodded "fair enough captain," he said as Amber slightly smiled at Olivia "this is a scary place isn't it."

Olivia nodded "yeah a little but you know what makes it a little less scary?"

"What?" She asked with a bright smile.

Olivia smiled "well for me it's Elliot being right here with me every step of the way just like I bet your dad being there for you is helping you feel less scared."

She nodded slightly "mmhmm I've missed my mom and dad so much, did you know that Mr. Elliot saved my life?"

Olivia nodded her head "I did sweetheart, I saw it on the news when I was with the man who took me.. It made me feel so proud," she said as she turned to face Elliot, pure love in her expression.

Elliot gently pulled her back into his arms and rubbed her back "she's giving me to much credit she saved herself I couldn't even get the chain off."

Olivia shook her head slightly "if you hadn't broken into that house and called 911 she'd still be there and you know it.. So as much as I know it pains you to hear it your a hero in her eyes... And Elliot your a hero in my eyes too," she whispered as just then there was a knock on the door as the head of the hospital along with the hospital's lawyer entered the room "are you Mr. and Mrs. Stabler?" the lawyer asked.

Elliot nodded his head "yes we are."

He nodded his head "my name is Josh Holloway, I'm Mercy general's lawyer."

"Umm okay how can we help you sir?"

He looked at him "it's come to my attention that you want to put in your wife's IV yourself and that you've done it before."

Elliot nodded "that's right, she was my girlfriend at the time but we got hit by a drunk driver and the medics couldn't get in, she had lost a lot of blood and needed the fluids right away so they talked me through putting in the IV and stabilizing her neck."

He nodded "I see, the hospital director reached out to the firehouses in the area and the paramedics did remember you. But you've gotta understand this is a situation that we've never dealt with before and we're concerned rightfully so about possible legal ramifications."

Elliot sighed slightly "I get that trust me I do... And this wasn't just something that I decided that I wanted to do to give you guys headaches... this is a truly delicate situation... Olivia's already had 1 flashback, All I want is for this to go as smoothly as possible so she can get treated and we can go home."

Josh nodded slightly and sighed as he rubbed his neck "Mrs. Stabler how do you feel about your husbands idea? You are our patient and it's our responsibility to make sure that your on board."

Olivia sighed slightly "I'm not gonna lie I'm a little nervous... but I trust Elliot with my life and he wouldn't suggest it if he didn't think it was the right thing for me... and honestly if I've gotta get jabbed again today I'd rather it be him than someone else."

Holloway nodded his head as Elliot gently rubbed Olivia's back "we don't like this... at all... but if you guys will sign this form waving us of all liability if something was to happen because of you doing this Mr. Stabler we'll allow it."

Elliot nodded as he gave Olivia a long glance as a final opportunity to back out as she shook her head slightly "I trust you Elliot we can sign it."

He nodded "alright honey, do you have a pin?" He asked Josh.

He nodded "yes sir," he said as they both signed on the appropriate lines as he visibly sighed "alright Mr. Stabler a nurse will be in soon with what you need... I wish you both well and Mrs. Stabler?"

Olivia glanced over at him "yes?"

He slightly smiled at her "I'm really glad that you were found safe. That man is evil and I hope he gets what he deserves down the line."

She nodded slightly "me too Mr. Holloway, me too," she said as with that they both left the room and Olivia and Elliot slightly smiled.

About 15 or so minutes of quiet passed as Elliot was thinking about what he was gonna have to do and Olivia was willing herself to stay calm and in the present as the door soon opened as the nurse walked over to Elliot "here's the IV kit do you have any questions about how to use any of it?"

Elliot shook his head slightly "I've had to do this before once and trust me I'll never forget it... So I think I'm good."

She nodded a bit "alright sir... Please please press the call button though if you become unsure about anything or have any questions... We don't want anything to happen to your wife."

Elliot nodded "I will I give you my word... how many vials of blood do you guys need?"

"We need four," she said as she then left the room after switching out Amber's IV bag as he nodded slightly and sat the stuff in front of him "Liv baby I want you to be comfortable first off... So tell me how you'll feel the most comfortable, the most safe."

She sighed slightly "probably like I'm laying now," she said as her head was laying right over his heart.

He nodded "alright, the bend of the arm is usually the best place for you right?"

She nodded slightly "mmhmm when I used to donate blood they'd always go for the right bend."

Elliot nodded okay honey, this might be a little cold but it wont hurt," he said softly as he used the vain-finder to look "damn the vain is tiny..." he said softly.

Olivia slightly nodded as she noticeably gulped when she saw just how tiny it was "it's okay baby I should be able to get it if I focus really hard on the angle... lets try to relax your arm first though," he said softly as he rubbed her arm gently.

Olivia slightly smiled "that feels good El," she said as he smiled some "I'm really glad it does I like making you smile."

She chuckled slightly "Oh I know you do Stabler."

He smiled at her and kept eye contact as he gently wiped the bend of her elbow with the alcohol swab "can you make your hand into a fist for me?"

She nodded slightly as she fisted her hand "please be gentle El, try not to jab me to hard and don't dig."

He nodded and leaned down , giving her a tender kiss on the forehead "I promise you sweetheart I'll be as gentle as I can..." he said softly as Cragen quietly snuck in with the food and silently watched the exchange.

Olivia nodded slightly as Elliot smiled "do you remember our wedding night?" he asked softly.

She nodded with a smile "how could I ever forget? El that was the night of my dreams..."

He smiled "mine too, it was small but it was perfect. It was just me, you, the older kids, Izzabella , Munch and the captain. The captain walked you down the isle. You were wearing your beautiful white dress that it took you 3 months to find but the moment you saw it you knew it was the one.

Izzabella was barely a month old when we got married but even so you felt like she needed to be a part of it somehow so you rolled her down the isle in her stroller," he said as as soon as she started to laugh he ever so gently eased the needle in as he was still steadily stroking her arm with his other hand.

"After the ceremony was over we had an absolute blast at the reception, god we danced for hours I don't know how we had the energy to do anything afterwords but we did... Somehow we did we made love for hours in the motel room then the next morning I surprised you with the trip to the Bahama's..." he collected the last vial of blood "I honestly thought you were gonna faint when I told you you were that shocked.

Once we got to the Bahamas we snorkeled, toured the entire island... But out of the 14 days we were there we spent 8 of them in bed... I promise I'm gonna take you back there 1 day," he said softly as he gently taped the IV down "and I'm all, done."

"Y-you are?" Olivia asked shocked as her eyes had been focused on his the whole time as she had chuckled , smiled and nodded when appropriate as she had been completely engrossed in what he had been saying.

Elliot nodded with a bright smile "I am and you didn't even shed a tear... I'm so proud of you sweetheart... So proud you were so brave..."

"Yes you are," Cragen said as Elliot looked up "how long have you been standing there captain?"

Cragen smiled "since you kissed her forehead, whose ready to eat? I brought hamburgers and fries for our friends over there, he pointed at George and Amber, a fish sandwich with fries for you Elliot and some chicken noodle soup and crackers for you Olivia, and before you say anything Liv it came with a straw," he said with a smile.

Olivia smiled slightly "thank you captain it looks and smells delicious," she said as she then faced Elliot again "honey I didn't even feel it... I think you might have missed your calling," she said as she gave him a peck on the cheek.

Elliot shook his head "ohh no no honey I didn't miss my calling I couldn't do that kind of thing every day..." he said as he pressed the call button on her bed.

"Why do we need a nurse?" Cragen asked.

"I need 1 of them to come get the vials of blood and they've gotta take their equipment back," Elliot said as Cragen nodded and Jennifer walked in "was it a success? Or did you royally screw up and give us more work to do?"

"Oh it was a success he did amazing I didn't even feel it," Olivia said with a smile as Jennifer nodded "I'm just gonna look at it, make sure it's in right."

Olivia nodded "be my guest," she said with a small smile as she showed her arm to Jennifer "well I'll be dammed. You did put it in right..." she said shocked.

Elliot just smiled slightly and nodded "here are your blood vials , I didn't use the rubber tourniquet had her fist her hand instead, I used the vain finder," he said as he handed it all to her.

She nodded "umm thanks Mr. Stabler... what's your secret?"

He smiled "distraction, get them talking about 1 of the happiest days of their life and they'll focus on that instead of what your doing."

She nodded slightly "why the hell didn't I ever think of that?" she mumbled to herself as she hooked Olivia up to some saline "doctor Barisferd should be in to see you guys shortly, he'll reset your shoulder when he comes in so after you finish eating we're gonna give you some Versed to help calm your nerves. It'll go through the IV though so no more needles," she said looking at Olivia as she slightly smiled and nodded.

"Also Olivia we're gonna need to X-ray your wrist before he comes in so it can be treated quickly, the longer it sits untreated the harder it'll be for the bones to heal."

She nodded "will you be doing the X-ray in here?"

Jennifer shook her head "no we'll have to wheel you to the X-ray room for that. We can't expose our other patient to unnecessary radiation."

Olivia sighed slightly but nodded her head understanding "will Elliot be able to come too?"

Jennifer shook her head "no he'll have to wait in here or in the waiting room until your done."

Olivia just nodded her head slightly as she reached for her bowl of soup as Cragen handed it to her and she sipped from the straw.

Jennifer sighed "as for your burns doctor Barisferd is gonna look at those too and determine what kind of treatment they need, once we know what exactly you'll need then we'll work with your husband on showing him how to take care of them at home. Mr. Stabler are you willing to treat them until your wife is able to do so herself?"

Elliot nodded "yes of course but only if she's comfortable with that."

Jennifer nodded and looked to Olivia as she gave a firm nod while sipping on her soup "I'm sure I'll be comfortable with it El I trust you, and please eat your sandwich before it gets cold..."

Elliot nodded slightly "alright alright..." he said as he grabbed it and took a bite as Jennifer glanced at Cragen "do they always ignore every one else in the room?" she whispered.

Cragen smiled and nodded his head "all the time ma'am, all the time," he said as she rolled her eyes but slightly smiled as she left the room.

A/n: we'll finish up in the hospital next chapter , had planned on portraying the whole hospital scene in this 1 but it was getting crazy long and I don't wanna cut any corners with this material. Gonna get started on the next chapter right away though and I hope you all enjoy SVU and OC tonight.
