heyy guys hope everyone had a good summer break even with the whole covid drama and im back with a new chapter .. its a WIP but im working on it to finish it today ..after im done with work of course hope you guys like it enjoy
chapter 17 the mysterious moon drip
underneath the temple while hiding from the enemy the team recently discovered a demon frozen in ice Gray knew the demon and explained his story to the rest of the team
Gray: ..i stil cant believe its him
Natsu: your really sure this is the demon your master sealed away?
Gray: there is no doubt about it
Happy: i wonder why it was transported from the northen continent all the way to Galuna island
Lucy: could that thing the reason for the curse?
Gray: ..i wouldn't be surprised if it did it may be enclosed in ice but that thing is still alive
Natsu: alright then give me a go at it I'm not afraid for some demon!
Lucy: Natsu don't the feeling is tempting but brute force isn't always the answer
Natsu: then my flames will do the trick
when Gray heard that he got angry and turned to Natsu then gave a hard punch to his face knocking him down to the ground
Happy: wow he punched Natsu!
Lucy: ..well honest its not the first time ..but this is different
Gray: i don't want your flames anywhere near it! if that ice melts and Deliora is revived then there is no way we could stop it
Natsu: ahh come on do you really think that huge chunk of ice is easy to melt
Gray: ...no..
Gray then looked down while Lucy stood back she noticed something in his eyes
Lucy: ..( thats not all isn't it Gray ..there is another reason for it )
then she walked to him and put a hand on his shoulder
Lucy: hey you gonna be alright Gray?
Natsu: hey i was punched for no reason here!
Happy: oh please..
Gray: ..many years ago my master Ur cast a spell called iced shell on this demon enclosing it in a form of ice that cant be melted its so strong that even the most powerful flame spells has no effect on it ..if they knew the ice cant be melted then why did they bring it here?
Lucy: im not sure if they brought it here then they really are trying to find a way to melt it somehow
Gray: but why would they do that!
Natsu: hey easy on the temper on her man!
Lucy: is alright Natsu but for the question I'm afraid i cant answer that
Gray: sight .. i just don't get it who would bring Deliora here and more importantly why
Natsu: ..we need answers lets go find those guys
Lucy: agreed
Gray: no ..we are gonna stay here and wait
Happy: huh wait for what?
Gray: for the moon to come out
Natsu: the moon but its the middle of the afternoon forget that if i wait out here ill die of boredom
Lucy: why wait for the moon?
Gray: i have the feeling the curse and Deliora are connected somehow and i heard those guys we saw earlier
say something about collecting moon light
Lucy: your right i heard it to ..the we have no choice but to wait for the moon to come out
Natsu: WELL IM NOT WAITNG WE GOT WORK TO DO
theeennnnn a few second later he fell asleep on the ground
Lucy: ... it shouldn't surprise me but ...dam that's fast
Happy: aye..
later Lucy and Happy was sitting on the ground next to Natsu while Gray was sitting close to the ice rock alone
Lucy: sigh it must be nice he doesn't worry about anything except eating drinking and sleeping isn't he?
Happy: yep that's Natsu for ya
Lucy: heh i have to admit I'm jealous wish i had that easy sometimes
then Lucy looks at Gray and sees he,s in deep though and is looking down then she looks worried
Lucy:( ..poor Gray this brought some really bad memory's for him ..i just hope he,s alright)
with Gray he close his eyes and thinks back about his master from the time he trained with her when he was just a boy
gray: ...
a few hours later
Happy: ugh im getting bored
Lucy: im sorry happy the moon stil hasn't come out yet .hmm i think i have an idea
then lucy took out an silver key
Lucy: maybe she can help us with that { OPEN GATE OF THE HARP CONSTELATION LYRA}
a gate opens and then a girl in a blue dress with a harp carrying on her back appeared
Lyra: heyy Lucy it good to see you again
Lucy: hello Lyra it good to see you to
Lyra: heyy its already so long time ago when you summoned me why didn't you summon me earlier i love to help you out but you ignore me you meany
Lucy: uhu and who was it that said someone was available three days a month?
Lyra: ehhe are you sure about that hehe
Happy: ..great another weirdo
Lyra: so what would you like me to sing any request?
Lucy: nope go ahead sing whatever you like
Happy: do you have a song about fish
Lucy: ehh lets not this time
Lyra: alright i got the perfect song for you Lucy
Lucy: Lyra,s voice is really amazing its really beautiful and it always brings me peace
Happy: aww but mira always sing songs about fish for me
Lucy: Mira can sing to then i would love to hear it someday
Happy: aye

words are born into air
and quickly fade out in the air
but they find their way inside you

when they hear Lyra sing they all relax and close their eyes smiling listening to her beautiful song gray was listening to stil remembering his time with his master holding his sadness inside him
when the skies are dark and full of rain
look inside your heart
the light so warm will come and glow
shining just like the sun
then gray couldn't hold it anymore and shed a few tears Lucy opened her eyes and saw Gray crying and shaking very quietly she unfolds her wings flew ahead to Gray then she landed behind him and wrapped her arms and wings around him
Gray: wh- wha
Lucy: ..its alright Gray go and cry al you want its alright ..
Gray looked back at Lucy and saw she had tears in her eyes to and of course he realized they both feel the same pain of losing people they care about to demons without hesitation he leaned back and hold one of her arm with his hand
Gray: ..ar-are Natsu and happy awake?
Lucy looked back and saw that Natsu and happy were still in trance because of Lyra,s singing
Natsu: ..no they didn't noticed anything ..don't worry ill keep it a secret
Gray: ...thank you
then he let all the tears flow while Lucy holds him close and comforts him with tears in her eyes and listening to the rest of the song
you can see just how much you've grown
how strong you are
a love will open up to you
and it starts from the day that you first heard those words
later when the song ended Lucy moved to sit next to Gray both sitting in silence looking at the demon in ice when suddenly the whole cave begins to rumble waking everyone up
Lucy: what is happening?
Natsu: is it night yet!?
then above Deliora a purple magic circle appeared on the ceiling
Happy: its a beam of light!
Natsu: yeah and its shining down from the ceiling!
Gray: and why is it purple could it be the moon light?
Lucy: i get the feeling it is
Happy: w what is going on im getting scared
then they noticed the beam is shining directly on the Ice block
Gray: hey its shining on Deliora
Natsu: i don't think its a coincident
Gray: come on lets go we have to find out where the light is coming from
Happy: aye!
they ran as fast as they could up a stairways heading to another room above the cave and sees the light shining trought the whole temple
Gray: why would someone cast a magic circle inside this old temple
Natsu: well lets find out
then they kept on running the stairways up until they made it outside the top of the temple what they see is a group of people standing around the circle chanting the spell they walked up closer and hide behind a wall hiding from the group
Natsu: what are they doing?
Lucy: looks like they are casting the spell to collecting moonlight and shine it on Deliora ..but why?
Lyra: its a spell called the moon drip
Lucy: hey wait a minute i thought you went back to the spirit world ..wait moon drip?
Lyra: i see so that's what they try to do
Lucy: Lyra tell us what you know
Lyra: they are using the moondrip spell to melt the ice around the demon underground so they can resurrect it
Natsu: what!?
Lucy: dammit
Gray: they cant the ice used in ice shell cant be melted!
Lyra: i hate to say it but that's not entirely true the iced shell is a strong it can be melted using moondrip focused moon energy can break any magical spell
Happy: ..oh no
Gray: idiots they never witness the wrath of Deliora!
Lyra: i think what the islanders believe its a curse againts them is actally a side effect of the moon drip concentrated moon energy can contaminate a body im afraid those poor islanders have been exposed with way to much moon drip
Natsu: bastards il make them pay
Natsu was about to get up but Lucy held him back
Lucy: wait someone is coming
then a mysterious figure appeared walking towards the light with the three other mages covering his face with wearing a horned helmet
Yuka: ..what a waste i lost so much precious sleep for nothing we searched all day for the intruders but didnt found a trace of them
Toby: MAYBE THERE WASNT ANY!
Sherry: im afraid i have some bad news cold emperor we thought we had intruders during the day but it seems they got away somehow i cannot speak of love in this situation
: intruders?
Natsu: is see so that's their leader huh?
Lucy: it must be so he is the one who wants to free Deliora
: ..so has Deliora awakend yet?
Sherry: no but it should be tonight or tomorrow
Toby: MAKE A CHOICE GIRL!
: ..the time has almost come if you see those intruders again kill them i dont want anyone getting in my way
when Gray heard the masked man's voice again his eyes widened
Sherry: it must have been those villagers they are the only people on this island
: then destroy the village!
Toby Sherry Yuka: understood
Natsu: what!
Lucy: those bastards those innocent villagers has nothing to do with this i wont let them get away with this
Natsu: right we gotta stop them
: its a shame there has to be bloodshed
Gray: ...that voice ..it cant be
then Natsu suddenly stood on top of the wall exposing him and the others and they al could only look at Natsu dumbfounded
Natsu: IVE HAD ENOUGH OF ALL THE SNEAKING AROUND BUISNESS!
then he made a huge roar of fire aiming at the sky
Natsu: ITS NOT THE VILLAGERS WE ARE THE INTRUDERS HERE!
Lucy: ugh sometimes but anyway bring it on with these guys
Lyra: i wanna help to Lucy want me to sing
Lucy: sorry Lyra I'm afraid you cant help us with this and i don't want you to get hurt
Lyra: aww your no fun ..but i understand be careful alright
Lucy: wil do
then Lyra went back to the celestial spirit world then sherry noticed the guild mark on Natsu,s shoulder
Sherry: hey i know that mark their from Fairy tail
Yuka: hm interesting those villagers must have gone to the magical guilds for help
: dont worry about them go eradicate the villagers
Lucy: son of a
Natsu: but why!?
: anyone standing in my way deliberately or not is my enemy
Lucy: thats it we are gonna take you down right now
Lucy took out her sword and Natsu got ready to but before they had to chance to move Gray sprinted ahead heading towards the cold emperor
Gray: ..why you STOP THIS CRAZY CEREMONY RIGHT NOW
then he jump into the air and slammed with his ice magic on the ground creating a wave of ice heading towards the enemy wizards but they all evaded the attack then the cold emperor stepped back and does the same thing using ice magic stop the incoming wave
Happy: wait he is an ice wizard to?!
Gray: .. i knew it ..LYON!
Lucy: gray..you know him?
Gray: how could you do you have any idea what your doing?!
Lyon: oh Gray its been a long time hasnt it?
Gray: why the hell would you revive Deliora
Lyon: to think that you were the one of the wizards called to the island to help those poor villagers did you come knowing that you would find me ..or is it just coincidence ..not that it would make a difference to me
Yuka: an old acquaintance of yours cold emperor?
Lyon: just do as you were ordered i wil handle the intruders
Toby Yuka sherry: yes sir!
then the three wizards disappeared
Natsu: h-hey wait come back here
then Natsu headed right to Lyon
Lucy: Natsu wait!
Gray: don't go near him!
but it was to late Lyon used his ice magic to freeze his body in ice
Natsu: arrgh!
Lucy Natsu No!
Gray: Happy Lucy get out of here
but Lucy didn't listen and took out her sword
Lucy: not a chance Gray i wil fight with you
Lucy unfolds her wings but when she did she felt a great coldness on her back and in an instant her wings were frozen solid first she felt nothing in the begin then ..as if there was thousand of needles stabbing her wings
Lucy: AARGGH
Gray and Happy: LUCY!
Natsu: YOU BASTARD!
Lucy then felt to her knees
Gray : Happy get Lucy out of here right now!
Happy: But
Gray: NOW!
Happy: AYE!
then Happy grabbed Lucy on her back and flew away from the temple Lyon tried to stop them but Gray stopped his attacks and attacked him back distracting him enough for Happy and Lucy to escape
Lyon: so you distracted me enough for the cat and the angel to escape chivalrous but pointless there is no way those two can stop my minions especially now that the angels wings has been frozen
Natsu: ..you listen here right now buddy when i get out of this ice ball im gonna make you pay for hurting Luce i wont let you get away with this
Natsu gave a deadly glare to the ice wizard but when he was about to move Gray kicked him away losing his balance
Natsu: h hey what's the big idea Gray
then he felt to the ground and rolled of the mountain out of sight
Lyon: wel i see your as reckless as ever wasn't he one of your comrades?
Gray: you and i both know that with one spell you could blow up that ice and him with it the same goes for Lucy
Lyon: so you sent them both away out of range of my magic that was a very clever move
Gray: i dont understand why you're pulling this superior act with me Lyon your not we are not Ur,s students anymore
Lyon: ..im wel aware of that painfully aware
then he took off his helmed revealing his face
Lyon: our beloved teacher is no longer of this world
Gray: her final act was sealing that demon away are you really that callus that you would destroy our master's legacy?
Lyon: don't delude yourself we both know your to blame for our masters death
Gray: !...
Lyon: and yet i dont see any guilt ..how cruel
back with Natsu he was upside down with his head in the ground stuck when he finally freed himself
Natsu: arrg Gray you punk your gonna pay for this
then he tried to free his body from the ice with his fire but it was no use
Natsu: my firepower isn't making a dent in this ice man what's the deal urgh dam i need to find Luce she must be in a lot of pain right now
but then right on que he spotted Lucy and Happy ahead he must have stopped for a moment to check on Lucy and quickly hopped their way
Happy: Lucy are you alright?
Lucy: y yeah it doesn't hurt that much anymore but its stil painfull ..dam that bastard
Natsu: HEY HAPPY LUCE
they both turned their heads and spotted Natsu walking sort of to them
Happy: Natsu you alright?
Natsu: yeah im good it doesn't bother me but Luce..
he looked at Lucy and was stil in a lot of pain seeing her suffering like that was pissing him of and wanted to burn Lyon to a crisp
Lucy: natsu im fine
Natsu: the hell you are
Happy: .. her wings their stil so frozen can you free them with your fire Natsu ?
Natsu: no i cant i already tried that but for some reason it wont melt
Happy: oh no what should we do?
Lucy: i dont kno-
then Lucy remembered a valued lesson she taught on her days when se was training her magic with her master and dear friend
flashback
close next to the palace was a training ground where the warriors train their magic and to learn about their magic in the late evening Lucy was stil training with her master and friend Adrios
Lucy: here i come
Adrios: come show me what you've learned use you magic
Lucy flew up in the air holding twin swords and points to her master
Lucy: {HEAVENS SWORD BEAM}
a great beam of light came out of the sword and headed right at her master but with his golden spear he blocked her attack
Adrios: again
Lucy: tsk alright
Lucy was stil in the air not touching the ground one moment the master noticed this and thought of something
Lucy: {HEAVENS LIGHT RAIN}
Lucy,s wings glowed and was ready to attack
Adrios: heh not so fast {LIGHT BIND}
he used his magic to bind Lucy,s wings together tightly no longer able to stay in the air she fel down to the ground
Lucy: ahh dam that hurt h hey my wings i cant move them
Adrios: thats because their unable to
Adrios walked up to Lucy
Adrios: your wings are an important part of your body your life they are part of you what would happened if you'd face a real enemy and your wings became useless when you need them the most huh?
Lucy: w.. wel i
Adrios: you die ..listen you cant always rely on your wings on a fight sometimes ground hand to hand combat is needed to defeat your enemys you gotta learn to not always rely on your wings
Lucy: uggh yeah i get your point but even so like you said when i need my wings the most how would i able to use them if they get stuck like this?
Adrios: thats why im going to teach you a spell that would free your wings whatever with what holds them down but it wil take a lot of practice and cost a lot of magic energy to learn this spell it wil tire you out the question is are you ready for it?
Lucy: ..if it ever needs to save my life then yes i am ready
Adrios smiled and laid a hand on her should
Adrios: i knew you would ..you came so far Lucillia im so proud of you never forget that
Lucy: thank you master that means a lot
Back to the present
Lucy: Adrios ...thank you
Happy: Lucy?..
Natsu: hey what's wrong?
Lucy closed her eyes and focused al her magic energy to her frozen wings
Lucy: {HEAVENS EMBRANCE}
suddenly Lucy,s frozen wings glowed with a bright light
Happy: ..woah
Natsu: unbelieveble ...
then suddenly the ice slowly began to crack until it broke apart freeing her wings still glowing brightly
Happy: their free your wings are free!
Natsu: that was awesome Luce you think you can unfreeze me?
Lucy didnt said anything but was heavenly breathing and was still on her knees
Natsu: Luce?
Lucy: ..im sorry Natsu ..it took a lot of magic energy to do it .. i dont have enough strength to get you out ...im so sorry
Natsu: hey dont worry about it hey Happy could you take her back to the village ?
Happy: aye but what about you Natsu?
Natsu: im heading back up there that ice bastard needs help ...and i want payback of course for kicking me of the dam mountain
Lucy: ..but
Lucy wanted to argue wanting to come along to but Natsu already gave her a stern look like saying '' dont even think about you need rest '' and she got the feeling she wont win this argument and sigh
Lucy: ..alright ..but you better come back alright ..make sure to tell gray to?
Happy: Aye same here!
Natsu: you got it!
then Happy grabbed Lucy on her back and flew of heading to the village
meanwhile somewhere on the sea a ship is sailing straight heading to Galuna island with on board pirate who got knocked out by one red head person not looking pleased
: why do you want to go to Galune island? ehhh its scary
Erza : just shut up and steer!
: uhm hey if you drop us off somewhere you can have the boat please im begging you lady i heard that island is cursed and anyone steps foot on the island wil be turned into demons!
Erza : i wil take that chance
: but why do you have to go there!?
Erza : when rules are broken the guilty must be punished and that is all i can tell you
..somehow she won the hearts of the crew
: shes so cool
: and hot to
: we dont like rulebreakers either
: we wil help you catch them if you want?
Erza: sure now lets hurry
: AYE AYE
back on the island Gray is still facing of Lyon
Lyon: enough with the games Gray your the one who murderd Ur so just admit it
Gray: ...
Lyon: im suprised you have the guts to even speak her name!
then he used his ice magic to create a spiked object and attacked Gray hitting him directly and he crashed against the wall
Gray: uhh..Lyon
Lyon: huh what's wrong don't tell me the guilt is finally getting to you im warning you don't try to interfere whatever you like it or not im reviving Deliora!
Gray: i wont let you!
then Lyon got serious and dropped his mask
Lyon: its like old times but I've grown much stronger sins then {ICE MAKE EAGLE}
out of his hands a bunch of ice looking eagles are heading right at Gray
Gray: {ICE MAKE SHIELD}
he creates a barrier of ice but the barrier was useless the eagles flew around the barrier and straight into Gray
Gray: uargh!
Lyon: while your specialty is making inanimate objects static ice make magic mine is creating living creatures activise make magic did you forget my ice has the ability to move
Gray: {ICE MAKE HAMMER}
he created a giant ice hammer attacking Lyon from above
Lyon: {ICE MAKE APE}
a huge ice looking ape appeared behind Lyon blocking the attack and shatter the ice hammer
Gray: tsk
Lyon: how pathetic you stil use two hands when casting your ice spells
Gray: yeah that's because Ur taught us single handed spell casting is incomplete and unbalanced
Lyon: well I'm the exception of this rule i surpassed Ur,s skill level long time ago
Gray: shut your mouth..
Lyon: regardless ever sins we were children you've never landed a single hit on me
Gray: ..well im a lot stronger then i used to be! {ICE MAKE GEISER}
he lays both hands on the ground creating a huge pillar of ice trapping Lyon but he easily shattered it and freed himself
Gray: no way!
Lyon: nothing has changed i was always the superior student I'm still stronger than you i was able to master single handed ice make magic while you still have to rely on both hands
Gray: tsk
Lyon: its just like the old days we may have chosen different paths but we are frozen in time our ranking as wizards has never changed
then he charged up his magic and created a ice dragon hitting him from the ground sending Gray flying
Gray: arrgg!
Lyon: thats why im resurrecting Deliora to prove im more then Ur,s starpupil
Gray then crashes on the ground
Lyon: as a child i only ever dreamed of one thing the day i would surpass Ur,s ability's as a wizard ..but you ruined it for me Gray after she died i thought my life long dream of surpassing her had been dashed ..until i realized there was one way if i can defeat Deliora a demon so strong no even Ur could vanquished it then i will have surpassed her power my dream would finally become a reality
Gray stood back up again
Gray: listen to me that thing destroyed everything we cared about and you want to bring it back just to prove how strong you are that's insane!
Lyon: ..
Gray: please you cant do this!
then Lyon looked pissed and attacked Gray again with his ice magic
Gray: arrghh!
Lyon: 'please you cant do this' ..really
Lyon attacked him again knocking him on the ground
Gray: ugh
Lyon: funny those were the exact same words we told you that fateful day surely you haven't forgotten
then he got ready to attack again
Lyon: because you challenged Deliora that Ur lost her life!
Lyon attacked Gray again and again with no chance of defending himself
Lyon: now BEGONE!
with one last attack he knocked Gray away back on the ground defeated in battle
annnd its finished sorry i didn't got it finish yesterday it took me longer then expect but i hope you guys like the chapter
tomorrow il be working on the next chapter and i hope il get it done the next weekend
