Elliot's face slowly went white when he heard Kathleen's statement "h-he what?"
"He asked me to marry him dad, we're gonna have a long distance marriage he's a great guy and he loves me."
Elliot sighed "baby he doesn't love you he's manipulating you, he's hiding his true self from you that's not love sweetheart..."
"But he does love me dad he's not asking me to change anything about myself, I'm still gonna live in Florida for now and work at the rape crisis center, I'll have it all if I stay with him."
Elliot sighed "he's not doing that for you baby he's doing that for himself, he's only okay with that because it'll make it easier for him to hide his affiliations from you. Besides long distance marriages never last for long somebody always ends up wanting more and it crumbles."
Kathleen sighed "dad please just let me be happy, I really love him and want to be with him."
Elliot sighed "all I want for you is for you to be happy Kathleen and I know that right now you think you would be happy for the rest of your life with him but I promise you you won't be, he'll either drag you into his way of life or break your heart neither of which I wanna see happen to you..." he pulled her close to him and gently rubbed her back "I know this isn't what you wanted to hear from me and I wish things had gone differently today but honey I promise you listening to me would be the right thing..."
"H-How do you know it's the right thing?" she asked through tears.
Elliot continued rubbing her back gently "because I've been in this world for almost twice as long as you have and I've seen about every type of relationship play out in my years."
Kathleen sighed slightly and pulled away from him "well your wrong about Brad I know you are."
Elliot shook his head "I'm not but I wish I was."
Kathleen sighed "you are and I'm saying yes but I'll always love you and you'll always be my dad."
I hope you'll still love me after what I'm about to do he thought to himself as he sighed heavily "well it's your life Katie and your an adult so I can't stop you and I'll always love you too sweetheart," he said softly as she sighed in relief and they hugged tightly.
A couple minutes passed before Elliot broke away "we should all probably go honey I've gotta find an evening flight for us and I promised Liv we'd go to Millennium park."
Kathleen nodded "I hope you guys have a blast, I'm gonna sit out on the fun though me and Brad have missed each other so we're gonna hang out together until I have to fly back home on Sunday."
Elliot just sighed, nodded his head and rubbed his temples as Kathleen looked to him "dad who held the gun to your head? I'm gonna talk to whoever it was."
Elliot shook his head "I'm not telling you Kathleen those men are really dangerous and they'll hurt you if you provoke them. You have to promise me you won't provoke them please."
Kathleen sighed "nobody will hurt me Brad won't let anything happen to me, he loves me and he'll protect me."
Elliot nodded "either way I still need you to promise me."
She sighed but nodded slightly "fine if it makes you feel better I'll promise not to but I promise you your overreacting."
I wish I was he thought to himself as he just pulled her back into his arms for another long hug "Kathleen sweetheart I love you so so much, no matter what happens I love you so much."
"I love you too dad, one day you'll come around I know you will."
Elliot said nothing to that as he gently kissed her head then eased off the bed and left the bedroom "Lizzie Izzabella Liv time to go."
Olivia and Lizzie nodded their heads as Liv passed the sleeping Izzabella to Lizzie so she could stand "did it go okay?" she asked Elliot in a whisper.
"No," Elliot answered flatly as he desperately tried to keep his composure.
Olivia nodded slightly "you wanna talk about it?"
Elliot nodded "in the car, I-I'll tell you in the car," he choked out as Olivia nodded slightly and Brad smirked behind them as he was unseen "are we leaving Elliot?" Kathy asked.
"Yes," he said simply as she nodded and stood "bye gentlemen, it was nice to meet you today Brad, take care of her please."
"I will Mrs. Smith you have nothing to worry about," he reassured.
Kathy nodded "I trust you, your friends not so much but maybe that'll come in time."
He nodded "maybe," he said as she then followed everyone out "I'm driving," Elliot said as he helped Liv into the front seat.
"Okay then," Kathy said through a shrug as her, Izzabella and Lizzie squeezed into the back seat "what happened?" Olivia whispered.
"Just a minute baby," he said as he cranked the car and turned the radio on putting the majority of the sound into the back "the fucking prick asked her to marry him," he hissed in a whisper.
Olivia frowned "she said no right?"
Elliot shook his head "I wish, the fucker has her completely manipulated, she thinks he's this fucking saint."
Olivia sighed slightly and rubbed his arm "I'm sorry El, I can try and talk to her if you think it'd help."
He shook his head "there's no need I already have a plan."
Olivia nodded and made eye contact with him ready to hear it "me and you both saw all the baggies on the table and we both know what's in them."
Olivia nodded "yeah and?"
Elliot smiled "and I'm going straight to the cops, if he's in an Illinois prison somewhere locked up on drug charges he can't marry her then."
Olivia nodded "your right about that but what if she finds out that you're the one who turned him in? It'll hurt your relationship El."
Elliot nodded "she won't know it was me because I'll be an anonymous tipster, if she finds out though she can hate me all she wants I rather her be safe from him and hate me than her stay with him and end up in prison someday or dead in a ditch somewhere."
Olivia nodded her head "your a good father Elliot and I'm behind you 100% on this," she said as Kathy sighed from the back seat "why are we just sitting here? And could you turn the radio down please?"
Elliot sighed heavily at Kathy's impatient behavior "Liv will you GPS us to the nearest precinct please?"
Olivia nodded her head and quickly found it on google maps as once the first turn was announced Elliot drove off and turned the radio down.
Everyone rode in silence for a bit as finally Lizzie spoke "Brad is a bad guy Kathleen shouldn't be with him."
Elliot nodded "I know he is honey and she won't be for much longer."
"Good," Lizzie said in relief as Kathy sighed "how do you plan to stop it Elliot? They're both adults and no he's not perfect but he's not abusive towards her either."
Take the next right, Olivia's phone said as he did that then looked at Kathy through the rearview mirror "trust me I have a plan."
Kathy sighed "whatever your plan is is gonna break our daughters heart so it's not a good plan Elliot."
Elliot sighed heavily "it's either this or her marrying a gang leader so I'd rather go with this."
"My god Elliot he's not a gang leader he didn't even act like a gang leader."
"He hid it from you Kathy! For god sakes he hid it!" Elliot snapped finally losing his patience as Izzabella woke up in the back seat and began to cry.
"Shhh, shhh it's okay sweetie," Lizzie tried to comfort as Kathy glared "he didn't hide anything you're just being to judge-mental to see that underneath everything he's a decent guy that loves our daughter!"
Izzabella continued to cry as her cries got louder "enough! Both of you enough you're scaring Izzabella!" Olivia called over all the noise.
Elliot took a couple deep breaths as he snapped out of his rage "sorry Liv," he said softly as he pulled into the parking lot of the 21st district as Izzabella still cried because of the obvious tension in the car "Liv I'm gonna calm her down and take her in with me I think she needs a little daddy time," he whispered.
Olivia nodded slightly "that's fine or I can get in the back with her if you rather that I don't mind."
He shook his head "I think this is the best thing honey," he whispered as it was clear that Kathy was fuming mad and the anger radiating off her was just scaring Izzabella even more.
Olivia gave a slight nod "make sure when you report the gang that you tell them Kathleen isn't involved, if you don't they'll arrest her too."
Elliot nodded "I will baby don't worry," he whispered as he then got out and walked around to Lizzie's door as he opened it, reached over and gently pulled Izzabella into his arms "shhh, shhh it's alright kiddo I promise you everything's alright," he said softly as he shut the door then swayed with her cradled in his arms to calm her down.
"Olivia you should have stayed out of that it had nothing to do with you I'm surprised Elliot didn't put you in your place," Kathy said from the back.
"The fighting was waking my daughter so yes it did effect me," Olivia fired back.
She sighed "maybe it did but you still can't tell us what to do we're both adults and we're allowed to have disagreements."
Olivia just sighed in her seat as she was losing her energy fast and she ended up yawning "why are we here anyway Olivia? I know Elliot told you."
Olivia sighed "why do you think we're here Kathy?"
"I don't know that's why I asked you."
Olivia sighed "Elliot is filing charges against the boy who held the gun to his head and turning Brad in."
Kathy just shook her head, sighed and went to reach for her phone "don't think about tipping Kathleen off Kathy you do that I'll let Elliot know and there'll be a good chance that you'll be charged with obstruction by the Chicago cops."
Kathy glared "Elliot wouldn't let that happen."
Olivia nodded "he wouldn't want it to and neither would I but it wouldn't be up to us, don't make the call."
Kathy just gave Olivia a hard glare as Olivia was quiet and kept a calm expression unfazed by Kathy's anger as after a minute or two she put her phone back in her purse "what you and Elliot are doing is wrong," she said.
Olivia sighed "I know you think it is but all he's doing is protecting Kathleen if you saw what Elliot sees in Brad you'd do the same thing."
Kathy sighed "maybe," she said through a shrug as a heavy and uncomfortable silence then filled the car.
"Where are we daddy?" Izzabella asked quietly as she had been calm for a couple minutes now and Elliot was standing in line inside the precinct.
"We're just waiting in line here baby I've gotta talk to a police officer about an important adult thing."
Izzabella just gave a slight nod and kept a hold of his hand as a couple minutes later it was his turn "how can I help you?" Sergeant Trudy Platt asked.
"I need to report the location of a gang ma'am," Elliot said.
"Well gangs are everywhere in this city and this isn't the gang unit."
Elliot nodded "I think your misunderstanding me Sergeant I need to report to you the location of a gang's headquarters."
Platt nodded "please take your concerns to the gang unit then busting gangs is their specialty."
Elliot sighed "look I'm here from out of town Sergeant, my daughter is scared, my wife is sick and I don't have the time or the energy to search the entire city for the gang unit so can you please just take my statement here so we can all get on with our days?"
Platt sighed and nodded "name."
"Pardon?"
"What's your name."
"It's Elliot Stabler," he said as Platt nodded and quickly typed it into her computer "where are you from?"
"Queens Nu York ma'am," he said as she nodded and found him "are you Elliot Joseph Stabler, born October 20th, 1966?"
Elliot nodded "yes ma'am," he said.
Platt nodded and pressed enter on her keyboard "wait over there," she said pointing with out smiling.
"Over where?" he asked having not seen where she pointed.
"Over there," she said as she thrust her finger in the direction of a wall with a few chairs against it as he nodded and he and Izzabella sat down to wait.
Once he and Izzabella were settled in the chairs he pulled his phone out waiting to speak with a detective, hopefully it won't be to long, the desk Sergeant here is something else he texted to Liv.
Olivia: No rush El, what do you mean by something else?
Elliot: She's just got a bad attitude is all, she must be a lonely person.
Olivia: Probably. Is Izzabella okay?
Elliot: Yeah she's fine are you feeling okay?
Olivia: Just exhausted and feel really cold.
Elliot: I'm sorry baby, I'll be out soon, turn the heater on if you want to.
Olivia: Don't want Kathy to be anymore pissed than she already is.
As Elliot was about to type out a response a detective walked over "are you Elliot Stabler?" she asked.
"I am," he said as he quickly tried to type something back to her with out looking at the screen she sayd (says) anythin (anything) ill (I'll) deal witg (with) her: he sent.
The detective nodded "I'm detective Wilhight, come with me please."
Elliot nodded and stood "come on kiddo," he said to Izzabella as they both followed her upstairs and into an interview room where he proceeded to give his statement.
In the car Olivia chuckled slightly as she read Elliot's text "what's so funny Liv?" Lizzie asked.
"Your dad," she said in a chuckle as she turned the heat on slightly to try and warm up.
Lizzie nodded with a smile as Kathy sighed when Olivia turned the heater on "it's almost eighty degrees outside today we don't need the heater."
Olivia nodded "I won't have it on for long Kathy I just need to warm up some."
Kathy frowned "you getting sick Olivia? You have on long sleeves you shouldn't be cold."
Olivia sighed "I don't know Kathy El used the ointment but it's not helping anymore."
"The ointment? What did he need to use ointment on?"
"The spot on my arm," she said as Kathy nodded "you want me to have a look at it?"
Olivia shook her head slightly "I'll wait on Elliot thank you though."
Kathy nodded "no problem, if you change your mind though let me know I'm a nurse and I've got more experience with stuff like this than Elliot does."
Olivia nodded slightly "I'll keep that in mind," she said as once she had warmed up a little she turned the heat off and silence descended upon the car again.
About ten minutes or so more passed as police officers in bullet proof vests could be seen exiting the station from one side and Elliot was walking calmly out of the civilians entrance with Izzabella beside him "well I bet Elliot's happy," Kathy sighed watching.
Olivia just yawned not having the energy to argue with her as Elliot helped Izzabella into the back then got in himself "they're heading to RAID the house now," he told Olivia quietly.
"Good," she said with a slight smile "how are they gonna handle Kathleen being there? And what charges are being filed?"
"They wouldn't tell me to awful much about it since I'm a civilian here but they're gonna treat her like an undercover, they said they'd bring her in then let her go."
She nodded "good, and the kid that held the gun to your head?"
"I don't know baby," he said softly as he squeezed her shoulder gently then pulled out of the parking lot.
Olivia sighed slightly "I want him to pay for what he did to you."
Elliot nodded "so do I but even if he's not charged with that he'll be charged with something I'm positive he had drugs on him."
She nodded "I hope so," she said as she leaned her seat back slightly and Elliot gently rubbed her shoulder with his right hand.
"Please drive with both hands Elliot you're making me nervous," Kathy said.
"I can drive just fine with the one," Elliot said as Olivia shrugged "it's fine El it's not worth another argument," she whispered.
Elliot just nodded and put his right hand on the wheel "Lizzie would you mind going on line and looking for a flight out of here for us?" he asked.
"Sure daddy when do you want it for?"
"The sooner the better," he said as Lizzie nodded slightly and got to searching.
"Are we still going to Millennium park El? If we are I see the sign," Olivia said.
"Only if you want to honey it was your idea," he said as she nodded "I want Izzabella to get the chance to see it."
Elliot nodded "alright then," he said with a smile as he made the necessary turn and they made it there a couple minutes later.
"Wow this park is beautiful," Kathy said with a smile as they parked.
Elliot nodded "it sure is Lizzie you wanna go see if you can find us a map?"
She nodded "sure," she said as she got out with a smile and went to search for one "I didn't realize it was so big," Olivia said.
"Yeah neither did I honey, I'm glad we came though at least we'll have one good memory of this city to go home with."
Olivia nodded "I 100% agree," she said as they were all out of the car now and waiting for Lizzie.
Lizzie jogged back over a few minutes later "I found one there are tuns of things to do here."
Elliot nodded "well for times sake we should all pick one thing we really wanna do I doubt there's any way we can do all of it."
"Actually we have all day daddy it's only five till three and the earliest flight I could get us was for tomorrow afternoon at two."
"Shit," Elliot groaned as Olivia sighed to herself but faked a smile for his benefit and rubbed his arm "it's okay El really."
"You sure honey? I'm sure I could get us a bus ticket."
Olivia nodded "I'm sure El it'd be over a seven hour drive if we rode the bus home I rather just stay in a motel and catch the flight."
He nodded "alright then," he said softly as he looked to Lizzie "either way Olivia can't be overexerting herself to much right now so lets all look at it together and decide what we wanna do."
Lizzie nodded her head and they all huddled together so everyone could see it "the Lurie Garden looks beautiful that's my pick," Kathy said.
Olivia nodded "I might dip my tows in the water that could be neat, I might pick a couple flowers to take home too."
"I don't think that's allowed," Kathy said as Elliot just smiled "I doubt anyone will notice."
Kathy just shrugged as Olivia smiled "I'd like to view the skyline from the Cloud Gate, I've heard it's a beautiful view."
Elliot nodded "that's a good plan we can have the photo printed and you can put it in your photo album."
Olivia nodded "I'd really like that," she said as Lizzie smiled "I bet Izzabella would love Maggie Daley park."
"Ohh she would but getting her to leave would be a nightmare, lets take her to Crown Fountain, she'll have just as much fun there and it'll be quicker."
Olivia nodded "I'm fine with that, we can go there first that way her clothes are dry before we get back in the car."
He nodded "sounds good what do you wanna do Lizzie? You've gotta speak up honey."
Lizzie smiled "I'd like to see one of the shows at Harris theatre."
"They don't have shows until after dinner time honey," Elliot said as Kathy smiled "maybe we can come back after dinner, I'll bring you back to see it regardless."
Lizzie nodded "sounds good," she said as Olivia looked to Elliot "what do you wanna do El?"
Elliot smiled "depending on how everything's going later I might check out the Millennium park monument or swing us all by Jay Pitzker pavilion."
Olivia nodded with a smile "that sounds great. Is everyone good with our plan?"
They all nodded their heads as Liv smiled and her and Elliot lead the way to crown fountain.
Izzabella and Lizzie really enjoyed themselves their as they both ran through the fountain for several minutes and Olivia and Kathy took pictures "everyone ready to go?" Elliot asked after a few more minutes.
Everyone but Izzabella nodded their heads as Elliot nodded "sorry baby but we have to go there are other things to see," he told Izzabella.
After another minute or so of convincing Izzabella finally agreed and they made their way to the Cloud gate "wow what an amazing view," Kathy commented as Lizzie helped Izzabella walk underneath it.
"I agree," Olivia said with a smile "it's gonna make for the best pictures," she said as she snapped a couple photos of Izzabella and Lizzie.
"It definitely is," she agreed as Lizzie and Izzabella walked back over after a couple minutes "Lizzie would you take a photo of me and your dad?" Olivia asked.
Lizzie nodded "sure Liv," she said with a smile as they walked up to the gate and she took a couple pictures of them as they were smiling and Elliot had his arm wrapped gently around her waste.
Pictures were then taken of each adult with the kids and everyone together "mom, dad you've gotta take a picture together that's the only shot we haven't gotten," Lizzie said.
"Ah I don't know if that's a good idea honey..." Elliot said.
"You guys don't have to be in each others personal space or anything I just thought it'd be cool to have one," Lizzie said.
"I'm fine with it if you are," Kathy said as Elliot sighed and glanced to Olivia "go ahead El it's just a photo," she said reassuringly.
Elliot nodded slightly and gave her a gentle kiss "alright Lizzie we'll do it for you, just one though."
Lizzie nodded her head understanding as they stood side by side but not touching as Elliot focused on the view of the city with a small smile and Kathy did too but also took small glances at his chest when she thought no one was looking "alright I got it!" Lizzie said cheerfully.
Elliot nodded and stepped back over to Olivia quickly "you all ready to head to Lurie garden?"
They all nodded their heads as Kathy stepped over to Elliot "at some point before you guys leave the city we need to talk privately," she said.
"You won't get me alone whatever it is you need to talk to me about we can talk about it in front of Olivia."
"Trust me Olivia won't want to hear this," she said.
As they all walked at their semi brisk pace Olivia began to feel weaker and weaker as she struggled to keep up with them and ended up a few paces behind them "well I know it's gonna be about one of two things Kathy if it's about mine and Jim's fight Liv was there for it and if it's about why you were staring at my chest over there at the gate then I think she should be there when we talk about it."
"Y-You saw that?" she asked surprised.
Elliot nodded "yeah I saw it," he said as he turned his head to the right slightly "Liv you see that bush over there? We can stop and pick a few berries from it if you like."
Elliot got no response from her as he frowned slightly when he didn't see her beside him "Liv? You okay honey?" he called a bit louder.
"Y-Yeah I'm f-fine!" she called as she was breathing hard and she tried to walk faster to catch up with them.
Elliot frowned slightly "let's all stop for a second," he said.
Everyone stopped and Elliot looked behind him "take your time sweetheart we're gonna wait for you to catch up."
Olivia nodded slightly "t-thanks El, s-sorry," she panted as she cont steadily walking.
"No need to apologize baby," he said softly as when she got to him he pulled her into his side and let her lean against him while she caught her breath as her heart beated quickly.
"Oh baby your burning up," Elliot said after a few minutes as she was breathing normally now but still leaning against him.
Olivia sighed "but I feel so cold."
Elliot frowned "but your body feels hot it doesn't make any sense."
She nodded slightly and shrugged "I-I know it doesn't it's okay lets just keep moving."
Elliot frowned "I wasn't saying I don't believe you sweetheart because I do if you say you're cold then you're cold I'm just confused by it is all."
Olivia gave a slight nod then moved forward slightly as Lizzie and Kathy took the hint and went on as Kathy lead them at the same pace they were going at before "we should probably slow down mom Liv doesn't look like she feels well," Lizzie said.
Kathy sighed "I offered to have a look at her earlier and she didn't seem interested so I doubt she's that sick."
"She only seems to trust dad though mom Kathleen offered to help her once at Grandma B's and she told her no too."
Kathy's face softened slightly at that "trauma does strange things to people," she said softly as she slowed down some and Olivia was silently grateful as a few more minutes later they made it to the garden.
"Mommy! Daddy! Can I have one?" Izzabella asked with a bright smile as she pointed at the green apples.
Elliot looked around for a minute as when he saw they were alone in the garden he nodded "just a second and I'll pick you one," he said as he looked to Liv "you still wanna dip your tows in?"
Olivia nodded slightly as her face was pale and her eyes were half open "slowly sweetheart, lets move slowly," he said softly as he was becoming alarmed by her physical state "she alright daddy?" Lizzie asked.
Elliot sighed "I don't know honey I think she needs to sit down," he whispered as as they made it over to the peer where Kathy already had her feet in Izzabella grew more impatient "daddy! Daddy can you pick the apple now?"
"G-Go ahead El I'm f-fine," Olivia said weakly as just as Elliot shook his head and asked Lizzie to go pick Izzabella's apple Olivia fell to the ground, her body landing in the grass as her head just narrowly missed hitting the edge of the peer.
Elliot immediately lifted her into his arms "Liv, honey you alright?" he asked softly.
Elliot got no response from her as Kathy quickly put her shoes back on and ran over as she went into full blown nurse mode "what happened?" she asked.
"I-I don't know Kathy s-she's seemed to get weaker and weaker the more we've done, I was helping her over there to dip her feet in beside you, I-I just turned my head for a second a-and she fell."
Kathy nodded "have you checked her pulse?"
He shook his head "I can feel her chest rising and falling in my arms."
She nodded "okay then she probably just fainted, did she hit her head?"
"I-I don't think so," Elliot said as luckily Lizzie and Izzabella were to busy looking around at everything to know what was going on.
Kathy nodded her head just forget who they are to you right this minute and be a nurse, she thought to herself as she looked to Elliot "you're gonna need to lie her gently on the grass while keeping her neck and spine stable, we'll need to call an ambulance as well since we don't know why she fainted."
Elliot shook his head slightly as he gently laid her down and let her neck rest in the palm of his hand "she doesn't like hospitals Kathy lets give her a few minutes to wake up first."
"Elliot she needs to see a medical professional people don't generally faint for no reason."
"I know that Kathy believe me I do but all of the strangers huddled around her like that scare her right now you haven't got a clue on everything she's been through."
Kathy sighed "I saw the news Elliot but we have a responsibility," she said as just then Olivia's eyes fluttered open and she groaned slightly and tried to move her head "shhh, shhh hold still sweetheart your safe," Elliot soothed.
"W-What happened?" she asked weakly.
"You fainted Olivia we need to get you to the hospital now to find out why," Kathy said.
Olivia shook her head franticly "n-no no hospitals i'm fine now l-lets just enjoy the rest of the park."
"That's not happening baby I'm sorry," Elliot said softly as he gently stroked her neck "we need to get you laid down somewhere to where you can rest and I can get some soup in you so you'll feel better."
"But Elliot..." she argued weakly as Kathy sighed slightly "soup isn't what she needs Elliot she needs medical care."
Elliot shook his head "I'm putting my foot down Olivia it's either a motel or the hospital take your pick."
Olivia sighed and nodded her head feebly "m-motel," she said weekly.
Elliot nodded slightly "Izzabella, Lizzie time to go girls!" he called.
Lizzie, being the obedient girl that she was had herself and Izzabella over there quickly as she saw Olivia on the ground with Elliot's hand supporting her neck "oh god what happened?" Lizzie asked as a tear streamed down Izzabella's face "did mommy fall down again?"
"She fainted," Kathy said to Lizzie as Elliot turned his attention to Izzabella "she did baby but she's gonna be fine just like the last time she just needs some rest and something good to eat."
Izzabella just gave a slight hesitant nod as she sat down on the ground beside Olivia "I thought she wasn't that sick?" Lizzie said.
Kathy slightly sighed "I was wrong honey she is sick, I just don't know how sick."
Lizzie slightly nodded as Elliot looked to them "I need one of you to go and get the car and bring it around."
"I can walk El," Olivia said weakly as Elliot shook his head "you can barely move your head Liv your not walking it," he said firmly.
Olivia said nothing but didn't fight him anymore on it either as Lizzie and Kathy took off and headed towards the car garage.
"Liv baby, I know your afraid of all the needles and chaos that comes with going to the hospital because of what you went through but I'm afraid that Kathy's right, that my arms, a comfortable bed and a bowl of soup just isn't gonna fix this," Elliot whispered.
"I-I have a strong immune system El w-whatever this is it'll fight it off in time."
"But honey we've tried that already, we've tried using the ointment and just letting it go and it keeps spreading."
"M-Me fainting might not have anything to do with my arm at all El..." she said as she was just grasping at straws now.
"Don't give me that Liv it's connected and you know it," he said softly as he sat down on the ground and helped her lean against his chest figuring it was safe for her head to move now "I know why you're resisting so hard baby believe me I do but I've tried about everything I know how to do and we're running out of options."
Olivia sighed heavily "j-just let me think about it. A-And please don't force me El."
He nodded "never," he said softly as he sealed his promise to her with a gentle kiss as the car pulled up "you ready to get in honey?"
Olivia gave a slight nod and tried to stand as he shook his head "nope I've gotcha," he said as he stood from the ground with her in his arms as he looked to find the best way to situate them in the car.
After a little consideration they got into the front and he let her lean against him while Kathy drove "I think there are a couple motels close by," he said.
Kathy nodded and sighed "I still think she needs more than a motel, does she have injuries under her sleeves? I haven't seen her roll them up once all day."
Elliot just nodded his head sadly "track marks," he whispered since she was dozing lightly.
Now I get it, now it all makes sense, him being unwilling to use a needle when she got the splinter, her being unwilling to go to the hospital now it's all one big fucking trigger, she realized in her head as she just nodded sympathetically "we're gonna help her Elliot, we're all gonna put our crap aside for the day and help her okay?"
Elliot gave a slight nod "okay, and thank you Kathy, I mean it thank you."
She nodded slightly "no problem Elliot," she said quietly as it wasn't long before they pulled into the parking space of a small motel.
