Super8 parking lot, 5:10 PM.
Kathy opened the drivers seat door with a sigh and carefully got in "we have several choices Elliot, we can all share a room, we'd have 2 queen beds, a mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave for 128 dollars, if we split the price in half it'd come out to be 64 dollars a piece. If we wanna be more luxurious about it we could go for an adjoining room, they have the most amenities and splitting the price in half we'd pay 101.5 per night or we can take separate rooms, each room would have one king bed and it'd cost us 112 dollars per night," she whispered.
Elliot sighed "I feel like sharing a room would be a bit awkward for all of us, do they have rooms with single queens?"
Kathy nodded "yeah they're 96 dollars per night I just figured with your little one that wouldn't be an option."
"We can make it work Kathy she's slept with us on a full sized bed before, have they got an ATM here?"
She nodded and Elliot handed her his debit card withdraw 150 dollars from my card in cash, then once the room is paid for bring me the change back. There should be enough money left for me to buy dinner then refill the gas in the rental car before we take it back tomorrow."
Kathy nodded slightly "alright Elliot what's your pin code?"
"4015," he said as Kathy nodded and shut the car door and Olivia stirred slightly on his shoulder "where are we?" she asked groggily.
"We're at the motel baby Kathy's paying for our rooms now."
Olivia gave a slight nod as she managed to raise up slightly and lean back on her own seat "it looks like you guys picked a good one to stay at I've heard of some motels having roaches all in the rooms," Lizzie said.
Elliot nodded "it's true, bedbugs are common too," he said as Olivia shivered slightly "we'll check the beds though, the floor too and if we find anything like that we'll demand to either get our money back or be moved to a different room."
Lizzie nodded her head slightly "good," she said as Izzabella was gazing at the pool longingly "if Lizzie and Mrs. Kathy get in as long as it's okay with them you can go with them," Elliot said.
Izzabella nodded her head excitedly "mommy you wanna play I spy?" she asked.
"I can try," Olivia said groggily as Izzabella frowned "you sound weird."
Olivia nodded "it's okay I'm just tired honey, you go first."
She nodded "I spy with my little eye something that's... really really big."
Olivia nodded slightly "the motel?" she guessed with her eyes barely open.
Izzabella shook her head "it has water."
Olivia nodded slightly and tapped her head for a minute in thought "the ocean?"
Lizzie gave Elliot a worried glance as there was no ocean nearby as Izzabella giggled slightly "it's smaller than the ocean."
Olivia nodded slightly "i donno sweetie," she said as her eyes closed "but mommy that's why you have to guess."
Elliot frowned slightly then as he decided to intervene "kiddo mommy is tired right now and isn't up to playing why don't you ask Lizzie if she'd like to play instead?" he suggested.
Izzabella nodded her head as just then Kathy got back in the car "your debit card, change and key cards," she said as she handed them to him with a small smile.
"Thanks," Elliot said as he took them "what's the room number?"
"105, me and Lizzie got 106."
Elliot nodded "did you check the rooms for bedbugs and roaches?"
Kathy shook her head "that was always your thing not mine," she said as he just nodded and gently lifted Liv into his arms.
"W-What's happening? W-where am I?" Olivia asked startling at the movement of Elliot walking.
Elliot frowned at how disoriented and confused Olivia was "we're heading to our motel room baby remember I told you Kathy was paying for our room?" he asked softly.
Olivia gave a slight nod "El? Your El right?"
He nodded "I'm El baby your safe, I'm getting worried about you though," he said softly as he moved one arm from around her to unlock the door as once they were inside he flung the bag off his shoulder and held her more fully.
She nodded slightly "I-I'm getting worried about me too," she whispered as once Elliot had done a quick look over of the room and had determined it was clean he gently laid her on the bed.
"Ahh," she sighed in contentment as she fell immediately back to sleep and Elliot frowned as he quietly stepped outside "Lizzie? Do you think you could do me a favor honey?"
She nodded slightly "sure dad what do you need?"
He slightly smiled "do you think you could sit in there with Liv for a few minutes? I'm gonna run by the drug store and get a few things that we need like Tylenol and things like that, I won't be long and she's asleep but in case she wakes up I want someone in there with her incase she asks where I am."
Lizzie nodded "I'll do it no problem dad."
Elliot nodded and hugged her tightly "thank you honey, thank you I'll be really quick I promise."
She nodded "take your time daddy she'll be safe with us besides it might be good for you to have a few minutes to yourself."
He nodded and sighed "yeah I guess so, I'm not going myself for that reason though I'm going because I know what soup she likes and what over the counter meds she uses so it'll be faster."
"Gotcha," Lizzie said nodding as Elliot just nodded "I have my phone on me, if she asks for me or freaks out call me for her, she was really confused when she woke up last time and I doubt she'll be able to call herself."
Lizzie nodded "I will daddy I promise, be safe," she said as he just nodded and hurried off.
Room 105, 5:56 PM.
Lizzie, Izzabella and Kathy all three were sitting in the room as a movie was on on the tv on low and Olivia's eyes opened slightly "El?" she murmured quietly.
No one heard her since she had been so quiet as they were all focused on the tv "El are you hear? I hear noise but I don't know where I am..."
"We're in the motel Olivia Elliot isn't here," Kathy said calmly.
Olivia frowned slightly "w-where'd he go?"
"To the store, do you know who I am?"
She nodded slightly "K-Kathy," she said.
She nodded "that's right, how many fingers am I holding up?" she asked as she was holding up 3 of them.
"T-three I think," she said as her eyes darted around the room some.
"What are you looking for Olivia?" Kathy asked.
"E-Elliot," she murmured sleepily.
"Elliot's at the store remember?" she said softly.
"Ohh," Olivia said with a slight nod as Lizzie looked over "mom dad said to help Liv call him if she asked for him while he was gone."
Kathy shook her head "she'll fall back asleep soon," she whispered as Olivia was fighting to keep her eyes open.
Lizzie just nodded her head slightly as Kathy looked back over to Olivia "go ahead and go back to sleep he'll be back in a little while."
Olivia gave a small nod and shut her eyes as just then the door opened "I was as quick as I could be, how's Liv?" he whispered.
Kathy sighed "Elliot we should talk about that in private," she whispered softly.
Elliot just nodded slightly as they stepped into the bathroom out of Izzabella's hearing range "she's not doing very well Elliot, she's in and out of it and on the verge of unconsciousness, she woke up a couple moments ago and didn't know where she was, she recognized who I was but couldn't comprehend complex sentences, she really needs to go to the ER."
Elliot sighed "I promised her I wouldn't force her to go I can't break that promise, I brought Tylenol though and soup too those'll help right?"
Kathy sighed "maybe they'll help enough to clear her head so you can get her consent."
He nodded slightly "I hope so," he said as he then realized another problem "h-how am I gonna give them to her if she's barely awake?"
"You'll just have to give them to her, or I can if you can't," she said softly as she then left the bathroom.
Once Kathy was gone Elliot sighed as he quickly wiped a tear from his eye then stepped back into the room as he saw Kathy over by Olivia "Olivia? Elliot's back now I thought you'd wanna know," she said softly hoping the thought of him would rouse her.
The plan worked and Olivia's eyes opened slightly as Elliot walked over with the soup in his hand and Olivia eyed it groggily "I got your favorite," he said with a small smile.
Olivia gave him a slight smile and managed to raise up as he climbed in behind her and helped her lean against his chest "here you go," he said softly as he gently sat the bowl in her lap.
"T-Thanks El," she said as she drank from the straw and a little color began returning to her face "that's better," Kathy said with a slight smile.
Olivia returned her smile with a small one of her own "I felt like I was dreaming for a while there I felt so confused," she said once the soup was gone.
Kathy nodded slightly "that was because you were bordering on unconscious, we really, really need to take you to the hospital Olivia to find out what's wrong," she said urgently.
Olivia sighed "I feel a little bit better now I-I don't feel like we're there yet."
Kathy sighed "Olivia please... Elliot isn't qualified to help you."
"B-But if I go t-they'll see the burns a-and put in an IV, I-I can't handle that right now I-I just can't."
Kathy sighed in exasperation as Elliot nodded his head "okay honey, okay you don't have to we'll take care of you here for right now, can I check your temperature?"
Olivia gave a slight nod as Elliot gently checked it with the thermometer he bought at the drug store "it's 102.8, I bought you some Tylenol do you think you can take that?"
She nodded her head slightly and opened her palm as Elliot sighed in relief and placed the pills in her hand as she swallowed them with water "can I help mommy feel better?" Izzabella asked in a small voice as she had been quietly listening on the other side of the room.
Elliot sighed wishing she hadn't heard all that as Olivia gave her a small smile to assuage her fears "you can give me a big hug that'll help a lot."
Izzabella nodded, ran over and jumped onto the bed "gentle sweetheart, be gentle," Elliot cautioned as she nodded and wrapped her arms around Olivia tightly and Olivia returned the hug the best she could.
After a few minutes of snuggling Izzabella in her arms Olivia looked over to Elliot "I think I wanna try taking a bath if that's okay? To see if it'll help?"
Elliot nodded slightly "we can try it honey I'll run you a luke warm one."
Olivia nodded slightly as five minutes later Elliot was back to get her and he helped her walk into the bathroom and get into the bathtub.
"You know you don't have to stay right?" she said.
He nodded "I rather stay unless you need a little space?"
Olivia shook her head slightly and Elliot nodded and made himself comfortable on the toilet lid totally unaware of what was going on in the other room.
"Lizzie, sweetie why don't you fix your sister a plate? Your dad brought back food for all of us," Kathy said.
Lizzie nodded and got up to do that as Kathy took the opportunity to open Liv and El's bag and look through it she must have a therapist, if I can just find the card for whoever it is maybe they can talk some sense into her and she'll seek medical treatment she hoped in her head as she dug around.
Hmm they have morphine, antibiotic cream and burn cream, poor woman, she thought to herself as she frowned while looking I see a key to someplace, probably their house she mused in her head as just then she came across something "ahh there it is, Doctor Peater Lindstrom, licensed trauma therapist," she whispered aloud as she quickly wrote the telephone number down then put everything back the way she found it "you girls good? Do you need anything?" she asked.
Lizzie and Izzabella shook their heads, both oblivious to what she had been doing "alright then Lizzie your in charge obviously, I'm gonna step outside and call Jim."
Lizzie nodded her head while continuing to eat as once Kathy was outside of the room she dialed Lindstrom's on-call number.
"Hello?" Lindstrom answered on the fourth ring.
"Yes hi, you're Olivia Stabler's doctor right?"
"I'm sorry but I can't discuss my patient list I have to protect their privacy."
Kathy nodded "so you are her doctor, good I'm glad I called the right number I really need your help."
Lindstrom frowned slightly "who am I speaking with?"
"My name is Kathy Smith I guess we can say I'm sort of a friend of the family."
"Okay how did you get my number? Did Mrs. Stabler give it to you?"
"Not exactly," Kathy said as she then sighed "look I'm calling you because she's really sick and refusing to go to the hospital, I was hoping you could convince her to go somehow?"
Lindstrom frowned "I'm sorry but unless she's showing signs of suicidal behavior then there isn't really much I can do for you."
Kathy frowned "but she's already fainted once today and she has a really high fever, she won't go because of her fears if you could just convince her that she has nothing to be afraid of then she should go right?"
Lindstrom sighed "in theory yes but fear is a very complicated emotion especially for people who have been through all she has, does her husband know she's sick?"
Kathy sighed "yes but he refuses to go against her wishes, I'm afraid he's gonna let her die."
Lindstrom sighed heavily "I'll call her, tell her I'm doing a standard checkin and make sure she understands the risks if she opens up but unfortunately that's all I'll be able to do unless I find that she's a suicide risk."
Kathy nodded slightly "I understand doctor, thank you for agreeing to do this."
Lindstrom sighed "no problem but I really don't think it'll accomplish anything."
"Either way thank you, have a good night," Kathy said as she quickly hung up then went about calling Jim.

"It's so chilly in here," Liv said through a sigh as she reached to turn on the hot water.
"No no don't baby your food will sour on your stomach because of the fever," Elliot said softly.
Olivia sighed "but I'm so cold... and I like hot baths," she said as she shivered.
"I know you do baby," Elliot said softly as he reached over and stroked her hair "why don't we get you out of there since it can't be warm like you want and cover you up under some nice warm blankets instead? And I'll put more ointment on your arm."
She nodded her head slightly "okay, how big is the spot now?"
"It looks to be about 5 inches wide and 5 inches long," he said as he pulled the stopper out then helped her out.
"That's huge," she whispered as she shivered "m-my arm feels like it's been sunburned but the rest of me feels so cold."
He nodded slightly "I know honey I'm so sorry, I wish I knew of something else I could do."
She sighed "your doing all you can Elliot your hands are tied until I give in and go to the hospital I know that."
Elliot just nodded slightly and gently wrapped a towel around her as just then Lizzie knocked on the door "your phone rang a couple times daddy so I answered it for you, there's a man named Dr. Lindstrom on there that wants to talk to Olivia!"
Olivia frowned slightly and shook her head as Elliot nodded "tell him today isn't the best day that we'll try and call him back tomorrow."
"Okay daddy," she said as a minute later she spoke again "I told him that but he said he has to talk to her now, something about it's routine procedure or something like that, he says it'll only take a couple minutes."
"Routine procedure my ass it's almost 8 o'clock in Nu York," Elliot said quietly.
Olivia nodded slightly "something's up with it, we better talk to him though if we don't he could get the wrong impression."
Elliot nodded slightly agreeing "do we Minchin your arm and what's happened today or no?"
She shook her head "I'll just tell him I'm fine and I was sleeping, that should be a good enough explanation for why I sound groggy."
He nodded slightly "alright honey I'll back your play," he said as he helped her dress into pajamas then they walked into the main room "you got my favorite Elliot thank you," Kathy said as she ate her sweet and sour chicken.
"No problem," he said with a small smile as he then took his phone from Lizzie "this is Elliot Stabler."
"Hi Mr. Stabler this is doctor Peater Lindstrom, I spoke with your daughter a moment ago I'm just calling to do my standard checkin on Olivia, I tried her phone but it went straight to voicemail."
"Ahh sorry about that doc we've been keeping it off mostly so she doesn't get harassed by tuns of well wishers and reporters, you would have gotten me right away but I was in the shower," he said as he gently covered Olivia with two blankets and Kathy rolled her eyes at his lie.
"That's okay Mr. Stabler I have you guys now and like I told your daughter it'll only take a couple minutes, may I speak with Olivia please?"
Elliot sighed "doc I really don't want to wake her up we've been touring Chicago all day and she's sleeping really well."
"So your both vacationing? That's really great to hear I bet it's helped clear your heads a little of all the trauma."
He sighed "I wish, truthfully more got added to it but I'll tell you about that at our next session."
Lindstrom nodded "fair enough, who are you guys vacationing with?"
Elliot chuckled slightly "my wife, ex wife and daughters, a little awkward I know but the trip was less of a vacation and more of a we had to come here and stop a disaster from happening."
Lindstrom nodded "I see, I'm glad to hear you're in good spirits Elliot, just let me hear that from your wife and I'll be out of your hair, it's a formality really."
Elliot sighed slightly and nodded "alright doc," he said as he bent down and grabbed the antibiotic ointment and aloveara out of the bag then gently held the phone to her ear "hello?" she answered.
"Hi Mrs. Stabler it's Dr. Lindstrom. I'm sorry to have woken you. I was just calling to do my standard checkin. I do it quite often with my first time patients."
Olivia nodded slightly "I see it's okay really, I'm hanging in there got to see Millennium park today. It's beautiful."
Lindstrom nodded "I imagine it is, have you had any flashbacks since we last saw each other?"
"I haven't no," Olivia said with a slight smile.
Lindstrom smiled "that's great to hear, anymore nightmares?"
"No," Olivia said through a slight yawn as Elliot was coating her arm in antibiotic ointment underneath the blanket as he had covered the spot three times.
"That's good to hear, you do sound really sleepy have you been having trouble sleeping at night?"
She yawned again "no I slept fine last night I'm just really comfortable and feel really safe."
Lindstrom chuckled slightly that man and his caresses, he thought to himself as he nodded "how have you been feeling physically? Did you overexert yourself today at the park? I know you've been attempting to be independent and functional where you can."
Olivia nodded her head slightly and went to answer as just then Elliot began rubbing aloveara onto the large area of skin "damn El that's cold," she said.
"Sorry sweetheart," he said softly as Lindstrom chuckled "what happened?"
Olivia chuckled slightly "he handled a cup of ice water then touched my back," she lied.
Lindstrom chuckled slightly over the phone as Kathy sighed across the room "well it seems like you guys are doing just fine, thanks so much for your time and if you need anything at all any time you know how to reach me."
"Yes we do we'll keep that in mind, have a good evening doc."
"You as well Olivia," Lindstrom said as he hung up and Elliot slightly smiled "I drink ice water now huh?" he asked chuckling.
Olivia chuckled slightly and nodded "it was a diversion he asked me a question I didn't wanna answer, the aloe is soothing my arm though thank you El."
Elliot nodded "no problem sweetheart you wanna try some of my chicken and rice?"
Olivia nodded "sure," she said with a slight smile as Elliot nodded and washed his hands then went over to the microwave to heat it up "is there anything else you recommend me do besides give her Tylenol?" Elliot asked Kathy.
Kathy sighed "if your not gonna take her to the hospital the only other thing I can suggest that you do is make sure she drinks lots of water, it's not the same as IV fluid but maybe it'll help some."
Elliot nodded slightly "I'll do that Kathy I hope you and Lizzie sleep well."
"You guys as well Elliot, come and get me if you need me," she said as she stood recognizing her cue to leave.
He nodded "I will," he said as he gave Lizzie a hug then pulled the plate out of the microwave as they left.
"That smells good," Olivia said with a slight smile as Elliot sat down beside her on the bed.
Elliot nodded his head with a smile "you know you can have it all if you want it honey," he said softly.
Olivia shook her head slightly "I appreciate it El really but I just want a bight or two to taste it it's your dinner."
He nodded "it is but I'm not sick so if your hungry I want you to have it."
Olivia smiled slightly and leaned over to kiss him gently as the kiss ended up deepening slightly and it took them a minute or so to pull away "I love you Elliot," Olivia said.
"I love you too sweetheart," he said softly as they then began eating the plate of food together.
After about ten minutes or so all of the food was gone "daddy will you read me a story?" Izzabella asked.
"Sure baby which one do you wanna hear?"
She smiled brightly "the one about the pigs, can I sleep here?" she asked pointing at the middle of the bed.
Elliot shook his head "that's my spot tonight baby, you're gonna sleep right here," he said as he pointed at the right side of the bed.
Izzabella nodded slightly and climbed up there as she then looked to Olivia "my hug made you feel better right mommy?"
Olivia nodded and smiled "tuns better sweet girl," she said softly.
Izzabella smiled brightly and nodded as she laid her head on the pillow and Liv and El took turns reading paragraphs of the Three Little Pigs off his phone as by the fourth paragraph she was fast asleep.
Once they knew she was sleeping deeply they both smiled slightly and Elliot locked his phone for the night "I'm glad she was able to fall asleep that quickly I was worried she might have trouble," Olivia whispered.
Elliot smiled slightly and nodded "she probably would have if you hadn't done such a good job at assuaging her fears, thank you for doing that honey."
Olivia nodded her head "the last thing I wanted her to be is scared," she said as she curled into his side.
Elliot nodded his head, kissed hers gently then moved away from her slightly as she frowned "it's just for a second baby," he said softly as he carefully got off the bed then retrieved the burn cream from their bag "I thought I'd treat your burns quickly since she's asleep," he said as explanation.
Olivia nodded her head "good idea El," she said as she relaxed into the mattress and yawned slightly.
Elliot smiled slightly happy that she was this relaxed as once he was back on the bed he gently treated all of them, smiling when he realized that this would be the last time he'd need to treat most of them as once he finished he let her cuddle into his side as they both fell asleep.
At around 10:30 Elliot woke up slightly as Olivia and Izzabella's heads were both battling for a spot on his chest in their sleeps and he chuckled slightly I should take a picture of this he thought to himself as after a minute or two more he gently coaxed Izzabella's head to his right shoulder then fell back asleep once both of their heads were settled.
The sleep was short lived though as he woke up at around 15 minutes after 11 with the left side of him burning up what the hell? he thought to himself as he then realized what was causing it when he became aware of how hot Olivia was as sweat was pouring off her but she was shivering against him.
Oh god, oh god this isn't good I have to get up, I have to get the thermometer Elliot realized quickly as he managed to gently get both their heads on pillows then ease off the bed please let her be okay lord, please let her be okay he preyed in his head over and over as he looked for what he needed.
While he was rummaging through the bag Olivia woke slightly "El? E-El?" she asked weakly in a panic.
"I'm just getting the thermometer baby I'll be back over there with you in just a second," he said softly.
She shook her head slightly indicating that his not being right beside her wasn't the cause of her distress "I-I don't feel well, s-something's wrong," she said as she franticly tried to get off the bed but ended up throwing up all over the foot of it.
Elliot quickly abandoned his search for the thermometer as he gently held her hair for her and rubbed her back while her body shivered "h-how can I be so hot and cold at the same time?" she asked after she finished dry heaving as now she was truly scared by whatever was wrong with her.
Izzabella woke up slightly as she looked at the foot of the bed in horror "I think your fevers gone up and that's what's causing you to feel that way. Can I check it baby?"
Olivia gave him a slight nod "t-the bed," she whispered as she lowered her gaze in shame.
"Don't worry about that Liv it's okay honey I promise," he said softly as he sighed in relief when he finally spotted the thermometer as he grabbed it off the table then gently scanned it across her forehead "dammit," he whispered softly when he read the reading.
"W-What was it?" she asked as her voice slightly trembled.
"105.1," he said softly "we need to get Kathy, we need to get you some help Olivia," he said urgently.
Olivia teared up slightly as she just gave a small scared nod "I'm gonna go get her then I'm gonna be right next to you baby I promise," he stroked her hair gently a couple times "I promise."
Olivia just gave a slight nod and let herself fall over "I'll be right back Liv," he said softly as he quickly left the room as once he was gone she let her tears fall.
Izzabella watched Olivia worriedly as she ended up reaching out and hesitantly stroking Olivia's hair with her small hand having seen her dad do it a bunch "you're gonna be okay mommy, this always makes you feel better," she said.
Olivia just cried harder as she was afraid for herself and simultaneously touched by Izzabella's gesture "I-I love you so much sweetheart, n-no matter what happens mommy loves you and will always love you so so much..."
"I-I love you too mommy, do you feel better now?"
Olivia just sniffled slightly and gave her a small nod as just then Elliot and Kathy walked into the room as it was clear Elliot had woken her up "I did what you do daddy, I made her feel better," Izzabella said confidently as Elliot approached the bed.
"Good job honey," Elliot said softly as he gently pulled Olivia into his arms as she was crying silently "shhh, shhh I'm right here sweetheart, I'm right here we're gonna get you through this whatever it is I promise you honey."
Olivia gave a slight nod and attempted to reach up and touch his cheek but her arm wouldn't bend upwards it was swollen that badly "don't try and move it honey I'm right here and I'm not going anywhere."
Olivia just gave a slight nod "K-Kathy needs to look at it doesn't she?" she asked in a whisper.
He nodded "yes she does sweetheart but if your not comfortable with that I can describe it to her instead."
Olivia shook her head slightly "i-it's fine El," she whispered as he kissed her head then gave Kathy a slight nod and she slowly approached she's your patient right now, your patient and a victim of trauma not your ex husbands lover, treat her as such she thought to herself as she looked to her "Olivia Elliot's just gonna roll your sleeve up so I can see it okay? I won't touch it I promise."
Olivia gave a slight nod and Elliot gently rolled up her sleeve then stroked her hair "oh my..." Kathy said quietly as the patch of inflamed and red skin was now six inches long and six inches wide with red streaks across it.
"T-Those weren't there before..." Elliot said quietly as he pointed at the red streaks "a-am I gonna die?" Olivia asked Kathy in a whisper.
Kathy sighed "I hope not Liv, I really hope not but it's up to you."
"W-What do you mean?"
"What I mean Olivia is if you go to the hospital and let them help you then you have a chance but if you don't and you keep having Elliot treat you with over the counters you're gonna be dead by the end of tomorrow."
Olivia began silently crying again as she buried her face into Elliot's shirt "god Kathy you didn't have to tell her like that... You made her cry you're a nurse for god sake why not be a little more tactful?"
Kathy sighed "I only told her the truth Elliot, I wasn't trying to make her cry but she really needed to hear what I said," she whispered.
Elliot just sighed "you could have told her more gently," he said as he shook his head "can you just tell me what's wrong with her so I can help her? Because I know that you know what's wrong with her if you didn't know you wouldn't have been so sure of what you said."
Kathy sighed heavily "that's the problem Elliot she either has necrotizing fasciitis or an infection in her bloodstream and you can't fix either one of those yourself."
Elliot nodded his head slightly as he teared up in despair "what is necrotizing fasciitis?"
"It's a flesh eating bacteria that eats away at the flesh and tissue underneath skin and if it's not treated quickly it's almost always fatal," Kathy said grimly.
Elliot just gave a small nod as Olivia raised her head just in time to see tears streaming down his face "I-I'll go El, I-I'm scared out of my mind of what'll happen a-and what they'll think b-but I-I'll go for you I-I can't make you and Izzabella watch me die," she choked out.
"You're making the right choice Olivia," Kathy said softly as Elliot wrapped her into a tight but gentle hug "t-thank you baby, t-thank you so much I-I know this was a hard decision for you to make and I swear to god I won't leave your side Olivia not once," he whispered softly as Izzabella just laid there with tears in her eyes watching her crying parents attentively.
Olivia gave a slight nod "I-I know you won't El," she whispered as Kathy grabbed the nearest phone "I'm gonna dial the ambulance now," she said.
Olivia shook her head slightly at that and Elliot nodded then looked to Kathy and shook his head "no I'm gonna drive her she's gonna go in there on her terms and I'm gonna be with her every step of the way."
Kathy just gave a slight nod deciding that winning the war was good enough for her and the battle of how she got there wasn't worth fighting "are you still nauseous Olivia?" she asked.
Olivia gave a small nod "a little."
Kathy nodded her head and pulled a small bottle out of her purse "you should take this it'll help you get through the drive," she said as she held her hand out and a small round tablet was in it.
"W-What is that?" Olivia asked warily.
"It's a dissolvable Zofran you just need to put it under your tongue and it'll do the rest."
Olivia looked to Elliot, the question in her eyes being "should I?" as Elliot nodded slightly "she's telling the truth sweetheart it's alright you can take it," he whispered.
Olivia gave him a trust filled nod as she took the pill from her with her left hand and put it under her tongue "i-is mommy gonna be okay?" Izzabella finally asked in a small voice as her face was white.
"We're gonna do everything we can to make sure she will be," Kathy said softly as Elliot nodded "come here sweetheart," he said.
Izzabella crawled over to him and he pulled her into his free side "listen to me baby me and mommy need you to be very brave okay? You're gonna stay with Mrs. Kathy and Lizzie for the rest of the night then tomorrow either uncle Fin or Mr. Nick will be here to get you until mommy's better. You remember them right?"
Izzabella gave a small nod as Elliot nodded "good, while you're with them and Mrs. Kathy I need you to do everything they tell you to okay? Everybody is gonna be really worried and scared just like you so it's really important that you listen."
Izzabella gave a small nod as tears streamed down her cheeks "w-why can't I just stay with you?"
"Because we're going to the hospital and kids as little as you can't be there, we'll call when we can though I promise."
Izzabella just gave a small nod as she leaned over and hugged Olivia tightly with tears still streaming "I'm gonna be okay baby I-I promise you that daddy will make sure of it," she whispered as she managed to weakly hug her back.
Izzabella gave a small scared nod and Olivia kissed her forehead gently "I'm gonna call Lizzie and have her come get her then clean this vomit up," Kathy told Elliot in a whisper.
Elliot nodded slightly as while Olivia was distracted with Izzabella he managed to ease up and throw a clean teeshirt on along with a clean pair of sweatpants as he then found a washcloth, wetted it then gently cleaned Olivia's face.
"Lizzie's coming," Kathy said softly as Elliot was gently tucking a stray piece of Olivia's hair behind her ear.
He nodded his head slightly and Kathy sighed "that was a good idea cleaning her face up like that Elliot I don't know what's underneath her clothes you guys haven't shown me but maybe since you did this they'll believe she was abducted."
"I-I won't let them accuse him of something he didn't do h-he's done nothing but love me and help me since it happened," Olivia said.
Kathy just nodded slightly then leaned over to speak in her ear "h-he's a good man you're lucky to have him."
"I-I know," Olivia whispered tearfully as just then Lizzie knocked on the door half asleep and Kathy went to answer it "what'd she say to you?" he asked softly.
"T-The truth," she whispered as once Kathy finished telling Lizzie what was going on she walked over to the bed and hugged Olivia tightly with tears in her eyes "I love you Liv so much, so so much y-you've always been like a second mom to me. Y-You're gonna get through this just be strong and let dad be your strength," she whispered.
"I-I'll try my best sweetie, y-you be strong too, I love you," she said as with those final words said Lizzie picked up the still crying Izzabella and took her out.
"Olivia do you think you can walk to the car?" Kathy asked once Izzabella and Lizzie were gone.
Olivia nodded slightly "I-I think I can yes, s-should I take a dose of Tylenol and my morphine before we leave?"
Kathy shook her head "ideally no the hospital has stronger medications that they give for fever, if you're in terrible pain though you can take the morphine."
Olivia gave a slight nod "I-I should be fine until we get there," she said as Kathy nodded "Elliot do you want me to ride with you guys?"
Elliot shook his head "I've got it from here, thank you though and thank you for everything you've done for us tonight."
She nodded "no problem," she said as she finished cleaning up the vomit then headed back to her room "El do you think we could put a little more aloe on my arm before we go? I-It really helps the sunburn feeling."
Elliot nodded "of course sweetheart," he said as he grabbed the bottle of it "I gps'd the nearest hospital, it's about ten minutes away," he said as he gently applied it to her arm.
Olivia nodded slightly "that's not to bad, thanks El that feels a lot better."
He nodded "anytime sweetheart, I'm gonna bring the bottle with us that way I can put it on for you when you need it."
She nodded slightly "they should have it at the hospital," she said as she slowly stood.
"True but I figured this way would be better that way it minimizes a bunch of people you don't know touching you."
She nodded slightly "true," she said as he put their bag on his shoulder and their phones and phone chargers in it as he then gently wrapped his arm around her waste and they slowly made it to the car.
"I-I don't know what I'm most nervous about El the fact that I know a nurse is gonna dig around in my arm with a needle to start an IV or that a bunch of strangers are gonna see my burns," she said tapping her leg nervously as he drove.
Elliot reached over and gently rubbed her shoulder "I'll be with you the hole time while they put in your IV to make sure they're gentle with you and I won't let anybody judge you I promise."
"W-What if they judge you though? E-Everybody else does w-what if they think you did this stuff to me?" She asked shakily as she pointed at her breast and stomach.
"Then we tell them the truth, not all the details just where we're from and who hurt you."
She nodded slightly and was quiet for a couple minutes "E-El? D-Do you think I'm gonna die?"
"No baby, no I don't," he said softly as just then a car swerved in front of them from out of nowhere "E-El watch out!" she said in a panic seeing it as metal collided against metal then there was darkness...
