"Fin! Hey," Rollins could be heard answering her phone "is there any new news on Liv?"
"Not that I know of. She's agreed to hear you out though."
"T-Thank god," Rollins said, her voice full of relief.
Fin just nodded "it wasn't easy so start talkin."
"C-Can she hear me?"
Fin nodded "she can the phone is on speaker."
Rollins nodded "Liv, L-liv the first thing I wanna say to you is I'm sorry. I'm sorry I didn't handle things better... I-I was trying to be a good friend to you, red flags kept popping up in my head and friends usually stand up for and help their friends. I know now though that I shouldn't have gossiped like I did, I-I should have just been there quietly for you instead a-and I'm sorry I hurt our friendship."
Olivia sighed heavily and her eyes were brimming with tears as Elliot was silently holding her while gently stroking her hair "y-you still don't get it Rollins. Y-You still don't understand w-what red flags do you even think you saw? I-I never went into work with bruises not once."
"You never would let us meet him, always had some reason why I couldn't see your house and every time I invited you to have lunch with me or go shopping you always declined."
Olivia sighed "I-I wouldn't have you over to my house yet b-because I was keeping my personal and professional lives separate. H-He was going through a lot mentally and I-I thought there might be a chance of"- she then remembered that Elliot was right there and shook her head slightly "I-I don't have to explain myself to you y-you should have just believed me when I told you nothing was going on."
"A chance of what Liv? Please finish telling me?"
Olivia shook her head slightly and Elliot gently kissed the side of her head "I'm gonna step out so you can speak freely baby, I'll just be right in the hall," he whispered softly.
"N-No El y-you don't have to go," she said.
"I know baby but you both need this, I promise you I'll just be right out there," he whispered as once he was gone Olivia sighed "you still there?" Rollins asked having heard whispering then silence.
"Y-Yeah I'm here," she said as she sighed heavily "I-I didn't have you over because me and El had been partners for 13 years, we had been hiding our relationship from the brass for six and I-I wanted it to stay a secret from everyone but the people in our inner circle just incase he decided he ever wanted to come back one day."
Rollins was shocked to hear what Olivia had just said "b-but the black eye and the bandage on your face. It was one day a couple months ago you came in with a black eye and a bandage on your right cheek."
She nodded "y-Yeah I did because our daughter was swinging to high on the swing and didn't see me. I-I told you that when it happened Amanda!"
"Yeah Liv but DV vics always lie about how they get their injuries and you don't seem to have many friends plus Kim likes him too and she's always been attracted to abusive men."
Olivia sighed "obviously you aren't sorry for the things you said and you won't listen to reason so I-I don't wanna talk to you anymore."
"I am listening to you Liv I promise you I am I'm just explaining my point of view."
"I-I know what your point of view is and I don't wanna hear it anymore."
Rollins sighed "I-I defended you to Barba though can't we be friends again because of that?"
"Not until you apologize to Elliot for accusing him of hurting me and having a mental illness."
Rollins sighed slightly "he has a sweet side I get that but he has an angry side too I've seen it."
Olivia sighed "that was him being protective. He's really protective of me."
Rollins just nodded slightly "okay Liv, okay I hear you."
Olivia nodded slightly "good," she whispered as she glanced around a little "he's still in the hall Liv," Fin whispered.
Olivia nodded slightly and Fin slightly smiled "so are you ladies okay now? No more gossiping about each other or hating each other?"
"I'm good and I won't say anything to anyone else," Rollins said.
Fin nodded his head relieved "Liv?"
Olivia sighed slightly "if I survive this and ever work at SVU again I can be cordial but until you apologize to Elliot we can't be friends."
"O-Okay I understand a-and I really hope you get better," Amanda said.
Olivia nodded slightly "thanks Rollins and umm tell your sister that El is off the market please."
Rollins chuckled slightly "I have not that she cares she thinks if she tries hard enough she can get him to sneak around."
Olivia just chuckled slightly "well tell her to pour water in one hand, wish with the other and see which one fills up faster."
Rollins chuckled "I'll pass the message along, feel better Liv," she said as she hung up and Fin slightly smiled "that wasn't to bad was it?"
Olivia shook her head slightly as she was gazing past him towards the door "Liv I had a thought," Fin said cautiously.
"W-What's that?"
Fin smiled "I was thinking maybe I can hang out with you for a few hours? And we can let Elliot eat and get some sleep in the motel down the street?"
Olivia nodded her head slightly not wanting to appear as selfish or needy "I-I won't stop him from doing that I-I want him to take care of himself."
Fin nodded "he won't do it unless you tell him to though baby girl."
Olivia nodded slightly "w-will you tell him he can come back in now?"
Fin gave her a slight nod and stepped out as a minute later Elliot was in the room and pulling her gently into his arms "did your talk with Rollins go okay?" he asked softly.
Olivia used all her strength to hug him tightly "i-it went fine I guess," she said.
Elliot frowned slightly "I take it you weren't able to forgive her?"
She shook her head slightly "s-she only feels bad for the way her thoughts effected our friendship that's all."
Elliot rubbed her back gently "I'm sorry sweetheart," he whispered.
She shook her head slightly "i-it's not your fault El and we agreed if I ever go back to SVU we can be cordial with each other there s-so that's good right?"
"It is baby," he said as Fin gave her an expectant look and after a minute of comfortable silence she loosened her hold "y-you know if you need to go somewhere to eat and get some sleep I understand right?"
Elliot nodded and gave her a gentle kiss on the temple then pulled her closer to him "Fin put you up to that didn't he?"
Olivia said nothing and Elliot kissed her temple again then gave Fin a small glare "I'm fine and I'm not leaving," he said.
"You know Liv you could have made it a little less obvious," Fin said.
"I-I told him the truth i-if he needs to go I understand b-but i-it's his choice to make Fin," she said and Elliot nodded "you know there is something you could do for us Fin."
Fin nodded "Anything, I'll do anything you guys need I just wanna make things easier somehow."
Elliot smiled slightly "I could really use a bottle of old spice since there's no possible way for me to clean up here and I wanna smell fresh, I also wouldn't mind some dry shampoo Liv likes it when I wash her hair."
Fin sighed slightly "you know you could clean up if you took the offer and went to a motel for the night."
Elliot nodded "I know Fin lets just see how the evening goes okay?"
Fin nodded his head slightly "fair enough, Liv do you want something to eat?"
Olivia nodded slightly "egg drop soup would be good please."
Fin nodded "you got it baby girl I'll be back," he said as once he left Elliot laid back down and Olivia's head settled fully on his chest "El?"
"Hmm?" he asked softly.
"I-If I'm asleep and you decide to go to the motel will you wake me up and tell me you're leaving? I-I don't wanna wake up here and you be gone."
Elliot stroked her hair gently "I won't be going to any motel baby I only told Fin I might later so he'd back off about it."
Olivia nodded her head slightly "h-he does have good intensions."
Elliot nodded "I know he does baby he just doesn't understand how much we both need each other right now."
Olivia nodded slightly and yawned "R-Rollins says her sister is still interested in you."
Elliot frowned slightly "I thought I made it clear to her that I wasn't interested?"
"You did but Rollins said she's not letting it go."
Elliot nodded and sighed "I can't do anything about that honey but she'll be wasting her time I promise you that," he said as he leaned down and kissed her.
Olivia smiled and nodded "I know El I pretty much told Rollins to tell her that."
"Oh you did huh?"
"Mmhmm," Olivia said and Elliot just smiled and kissed her head "get some sleep sweetheart," he whispered and she dozed off with a small smile.
If Rollins has such a problem with me why the hell is her sister interested? Elliot texted to Fin while continuing to stroke Liv's hair.
Fin: Kim is her own person Elliot and it seems like Liv didn't tell you the whole story.
Elliot: I doubt that's true. What do you think she would have left out?
Fin: Apparently Kim is almost always attracted to angry men. That's part of why Rollins thought you had to have been hurting Liv.
Elliot: Okay that makes sense I'm sure Liv was just protecting me from the indirect accusation.
Fin: Yeah probably. She seemed a little jealous to me.
Elliot: Nah I don't think so but even if she was all she'd need is a little reassurance Lewis changed her body and that would make any woman worry.
Fin: Yeah I guess.
For an SVU cop he's pretty dumb sometimes Elliot thought to himself as he ended up plugging their phones in to charge, taking a couple bites of the now cold sandwich he had been brought then fell asleep.
A couple hours passed with them sleeping lightly as in that time Fin dropped off the soup, shampoo and cologne then was shoed back to the waiting room by Leanne as at around 8:30 Parington came in, looked at Liv's arm then ordered more labs "if Liv's okay with it would it be possible for you guys to give her a mild sedative while you draw her labs? The last time it was done it went horribly and I wanna spare her that pain," Elliot said having woken slightly.
Parington nodded "actually as her power of attorney you don't have to get her consent at all if you want her to have the sedative we can give it to her right now."
Elliot shook his head "no no I want to get her consent first I just wanted to make sure it was an option before I asked her about it."
She nodded "I understand, I'll hold off on ordering them for a few minutes to give you the chance to ask."
Elliot nodded slightly "thanks doc," he said as once she stepped out he gave Liv a kiss on the temple then a couple angel kisses to wake her up and she opened her eyes "best wake up call ever," she said with a slight smile.
Elliot smiled slightly and they exchanged a peck on the lips "how you feeling baby?" he asked.
"Still not good but a little better," she said.
He nodded slightly and began stroking her hair "I woke you up cuz I wanna run something by you. You have every right to say no it's just a thought."
Olivia nodded slightly "i-is something wrong?"
"No baby not at all it's just the doctor came in and ordered more labs and nurse Leanne is still here."
"S-Shit," she said tensing slightly and he nodded "so I was thinking maybe we could have them give you something small for your nerves? Nothing that'll knock you out just something like what they gave you at Mercy?"
"I-I don't know El w-what if I do something stupid or embarrassing?"
Elliot smiled "then we'll laugh about it together once your out of here."
She nodded slightly "o-okay I'll take it," she said as she then raised up off him and started to reach out for something "whatcha trying to do baby?"
"Grab that bowl of soup," she said as Elliot nodded "how about I get it for you?"
Olivia sighed slightly "fine but once we're home you've gotta let me do some things for you to return the favor."
Elliot shook his head "no baby I'm doing all this because I want to not for any other reason."
Olivia sighed slightly and went to say something else as just then Parington walked in "did she decide?" she asked Elliot.
Elliot nodded while reaching over to grab the soup "she said yes."
Parington nodded "great I'll send the nurse in," she said as she then left and Elliot handed Olivia the straw to her soup "sorry Liv it's a little cold," he said.
"That's okay El, thank you for grabbing it for me," she said as she started sipping it.
"No problem Liv really," he said as after a minute he glanced at her "do you want part of the sandwich Fin brought? I took a couple bites of it but that's it."
Olivia shook her head "no thank you El it might upset my stomach why don't you just eat it?"
He nodded slightly "alright but if you change your mind and want some let me know," he said as Leanne silently walked in and pushed the Versed through.
Olivia nodded her head and they ate their dinners in comfortable silence "El," she said cheerfully after a few minutes.
"Hmm?" he asked.
Olivia smiled "you're so handsome you know that?"
Elliot smiled "thanks sweetheart you're beautiful too."
She shook her head "I used to be but I'm not anymore."
"Yes you are baby," he said adamantly.
Olivia just shook her head and he silently stroked her hair as a minute later she reached over and pushed the call button "what is it baby? What do you need?" Elliot asked.
Olivia smiled "I want a mint chocolate chip ice cream bar."
Elliot just chuckled slightly as Leanne walked in "what do you need Mrs. Stabler?"
"A mint chocolate chip ice cream bar," she said.
Leanne chuckled "sorry but we don't have those here."
Olivia just smiled and nodded "okay that's okay, do you have caramel?"
"Nope," Leanne said "we have vanilla though."
Olivia smiled "mmm I love vanilla, you're the best nurse ever."
Leanne chuckled slightly "are you still gonna think that after I draw your labs?"
Olivia frowned thoughtfully and Leanne nodded and left the room with a chuckle "I thought I was your favorite unofficial nurse," El said teasingly.
Olivia shook her head and smiled "no your just my favorite person ever."
"Oh honey..." he said touched and she nodded "you're the best person in the world Elliot."
Elliot shook his head slightly "you're to sweet baby."
Olivia shook her head adamantly and Leanne walked in with the kit to take her labs and a cup of vanilla ice cream "I'll make you a deal Mrs. Stabler," she said.
"Okay," she said with a smile as she looked at the ice cream with interest.
"You be really still while I draw your blood and you can have this whole cup."
Elliot shook his head "she can have it regardless if she wants it," he said.
Olivia just smiled "see you are the best person ever," she said as she rested her head back on his chest "I don't wanna look," she whispered.
Elliot nodded "that's okay baby you don't have to."
Olivia smiled, nodded and kissed each side of his chest as Elliot started to form an erection and Leanne cleared her throat loudly "can I see your arm Mrs. Stabler?"
"You can in a few minutes," Olivia said as Leanne sighed heavily "I have a job to do here ma'am."
Olivia just sighed and handed her arm over "you're a bitch," she grumbled.
"Yeah well umm I really didn't need to see what you were doing," she said as Elliot was chuckling slightly "as soon as your back to your normal self again you can kiss me all you want," he whispered.
Olivia nodded "that is true," she said to Leanne as she then gave Elliot a sexy smile and laid her head back on his chest "I've never seen 1 milligram of Versed mess with someone this much," Leanne said.
Elliot nodded "I'm just glad she's not scared I'll take her aroused over scared any day of the week."
Leanne just nodded "you know you can't have sex with her in here right?"
Elliot nodded "of course I do and I wouldn't do that anyway she's sick, hurt and under the influence," he whispered.
Leanne just nodded as when she quickly put the tourniquet on Liv's arm Liv frowned and Elliot stroked her hair "squeeze my hand baby."
Olivia nodded and squeezed it tightly as in the current mental state she was in fear of hurting him wasn't on her mind as she looked into his eyes "you have the calmest eyes ever, I feel so safe when I look into them."
Elliot gave her a smile "thank you baby. That's all I ever want is for you to feel safe, protected and loved."
She nodded "I always do with you. Do you feel that way with me too?"
Elliot nodded "I do baby," he whispered as before they knew it Leanne was out of the room "do I get my ice cream now?" she asked.
Elliot chuckled but nodded "of course sweetheart, I'll need to help you though it's on the verge of melting."
Olivia shook her head "have to do it myself if I don't that means I'm weak."
"No it doesn't honey," he said adamantly.
"Yes it does," she said through a yawn then fell asleep as Elliot frowned slightly but managed to fall asleep a few minutes after her.

Olivia had spent another day and a half in the ICU before the infection in her bloodstream had gone down some and the cellulitis finally shrunk enough that she could move her right arm again as in that time Elliot only left her side to use the restroom, opting to either have Fin grab them food from somewhere or get it from the cafeteria as even when she was finally moved to a regular room on the third he still held her as much as he could, both of them finding that they were much calmer and comfortable that way as now the infection in her bloodstream was completely gone , the spot on her arm was only about the size of her thumbnail and her energy level was much higher "El?" she asked at around 2 o'clock on the afternoon of June 5th.
"Hmm?" he asked as he looked away from the movie they were watching and faced her.
"Do you think they'll let me get out of here today? Dr. Parington said it was a possibility last night."
Elliot smiled "I think it's quite possible you don't look pale anymore, your fever's almost gone and so is the spot on your arm."
Olivia smiled and nodded "I wanna walk around I'm tired of being cooped up on this bed."
Elliot nodded and carefully released his hold on her "alright baby just take it slow."
Olivia shot him a warning look "I feel fine I don't need to take it slow anymore."
"Okay baby, okay I'm sorry I just still can't help but worry a little."
Olivia nodded slightly, her face softening just a little "I understand El I know seeing me as sick as I was had to have been really scary."
Elliot nodded his head slightly "there was a point on day two t-that I was afraid I was gonna lose you."
Olivia nodded her head sadly "m-most of it is just a blur, I remember Brad's gang house then seeing Millennium park but then after that it's just little flashes of memory until last night."
Elliot nodded slightly "well if you ever have any questions all you have to do is ask and I'll answer them to the best of my ability I promise."
Olivia nodded "thanks El," she said before giving him a quick kiss "you wanna walk with me?"
Elliot nodded "sure," he said as he stood up and went to grab her IV poll "no way Mr. I'm dragging it myself," she said with a smile as she grabbed a hold of it.
Elliot just smiled as he stepped behind her and gave her a gentle kiss on the shoulder "lead the way beautiful," he whispered.
Olivia smiled brightly and nodded "gladly," she said as she lead them out of the room with confident strides.
"You look like you're feeling much better," a nurse said seeing them walking down the hall.
Olivia smiled "I really am I can't wait to get back to Nu York."
She nodded "I bet," she said with a smile "dr. Parington will be up here to see you in an hour or so."
Olivia nodded and smiled "sounds great," she said.
The nurse smiled and stepped away as Olivia and Elliot continued their stroll "I think I'm ready to head back. Maybe we can call and check in on Izzabella?" she suggested after a few minutes.
Elliot nodded "sounds like a plan baby," he said as they turned around and started heading back.
Olivia was quiet as they walked as her expression was pensive "what's on your mind honey?" he asked softly.
Olivia sighed slightly "I wasn't super needy was I? I don't remember much but I remember feeling fear and you holding me and it's like it was constant."
Elliot sighed slightly as he thought on how to carefully word his answer "well baby in my opinion you weren't to needy, you were scared though yeah," he said and she frowned slightly "why don't we talk about this more once we're settled? That way no one overhears us?"
Olivia nodded her head slightly and once they were in the room they decided to sit on the couch "h-how scared was I?" she eventually asked.
Elliot rubbed her back gently as he had decided to be honest with her "you were pretty scared baby, you were scared of dying, of the hospital experience, just everything in general really the needles, the nurses, the strangers it was all just a gigantic trigger."
Olivia nodded sadly as she examined his features closely "I didn't let you out of my sight much did I..." she said regretfully as he looked like he was in need of a shower and like he hadn't even had time to shave.
Elliot gave her a smile "I didn't leave your side much no but that was just as much my choice as it was yours bad things seemed to happen when I left and you were calmer when I was there so it was an easy choice to make."
Olivia nodded then frowned slightly "what would happen when you left?"
Elliot sighed "you coded once, took them three shocks to your heart to get you back."
Olivia nodded slightly "I think I vaguely remember that, I remember you came back really upset."
He nodded "I did I felt like if I hadn't left you wouldn't have coded, as sick and scared as you were though baby you still managed to calm me down."
Olivia nodded "I'm glad to know I was strong at least some of the time."
Elliot nodded "you were brave throughout the whole experience baby, headstrong as ever you refused to use the bedpan."
Olivia smiled "sounds just like me."
Elliot nodded "the hospital staff couldn't figure out why I just let you do what you wanted. Most of them couldn't fathom how a man with my looks wasn't a terrible guy, several people in the ED thought I hurt you."
"What?!" Olivia asked angrily as she shot up from the couch "who do I need to go talk to? Who do I need to set straight?"
"Nobody Liv, nobody it was all sorted out with in a couple hours of us getting here thanks to you."
"What did I do El? Oh god did I have a meltdown and make a fool out of myself?" she asked worriedly as she sat back down.
"You had a meltdown but not the kind you're thinking about, you ended up waking up and I wasn't there so after a little while you unhooked yourself from your IV poll, found me then refused to let them treat you until they let me go."
Olivia smiled and nodded "I'm glad I did that instead of turning into a crying mess."
Elliot nodded and wrapped his arm around her "you do know that if you would have cried it would have been okay right? I wouldn't have thought any less of you you were sick, scared and I had broken a promise to you."
Olivia frowned slightly "what promise El?"
Elliot sighed "I had promised you right before we went to the hospital that I wouldn't leave your side so when you woke up and I wasn't there that was a broken promise."
Olivia shook her head adamantly "that was a promise I should have never asked of you it was impossible to keep."
Elliot nodded "maybe it was but I kept it the best I could and it made you feel safer so."
Olivia just sighed slightly and nodded her head "I love you El, so so much and I'm sorry for the way I was y-you know that's not me."
Elliot pulled her closer to him and kissed her head several times "I love you too baby, more than anything and please don't do that, please don't apologize although I hated seeing you scared and hurting like you were I was honored that you felt safe with me, like you could let me be your strength."
Olivia nodded slightly and hugged him tightly "I-I don't remember much about the last few days El but that's one thing I can tell you for sure that I knew was that while I was in your arms nothing in the world could ever hurt me. You are my protector Elliot and I thank you."
Elliot teared up slightly "you never ever have to thank me for that, protecting you and loving you are honors and privileges."
Olivia nodded slightly "well having you is a privilege too and I plan to show you that more."
Elliot just nodded, kissed her head several times and rubbed her back "you wanna call Amaro now?"
"Sure," she said after a minute as Elliot grabbed his phone, pulled up the number then dialed.
"Amaro," Nick answered on the third ring.
"Hi Nick it's Olivia and Elliot, we thought we'd call and see how you guys are doing."
Amaro smiled "we're doing great we all just got back from coney island, Elizabeth has been an amazing help I couldn't have asked for more well behaved children to watch."
Elliot smiled "that's great to hear, we should either be flying back in tonight or tomorrow."
Amaro nodded "so Liv is well then?"
"I'm feeling much better I can't wait to be back home," Olivia said with a smile.
"I'm so glad to hear it, you sound lighter today than I think I've ever heard you."
Olivia nodded "I am as far as I know Lewis is still at Mercy, Izzabella isn't sick anymore and I'm spending time with Elliot."
Amaro nodded "I go back into work tomorrow, Lizzie said she can watch Izzabella by herself but I'm not to sure?"
Olivia and Elliot glanced at each other then gave each other nods "we trust her with her I know she's a bit shy and easygoing but she's 19," Elliot said.
Amaro nodded "you don't think she'd watch Zara too do you?"
Elliot sighed "we'll be in no later than tomorrow afternoon Nick I have no doubt that she could but she's a pleaser and hasn't really ever babysat before so I don't want her to agree then end up feeling overwhelmed."
Amaro nodded "I understand I'll let her sit with Cynthia or my mother I'm sure one of them won't mind."
Liv and El both nodded "can we talk to Izzabella?" Olivia asked.
"Of course," he said as after a minute Izzabella had the phone "mommy daddy!" she said excitedly.
"Hi sweetie!" Olivia said cheerfully and Elliot smiled "did you have fun with Mr. Nick, Lizzie and Zara this week?"
"Yeah!" she said brightly "when will I see you again?"
"Probably tomorrow honey," he said softly.
Izzabella nodded "good did you make mommy feel better? She said you would make her feel better."
"He did sweetie I feel much better now," Olivia said with a smile.
"YAY!!" Izzabella said excitedly "is daddy magic?"
Elliot chuckled slightly "no baby," he said with a smile.
She nodded her head "okay, guess what I got?"
"What'd you get?" he asked eagerly.
"Mr. cuddles!"
"Whose Mr. Cuddles?" Olivia asked.
"He's Mr. cuddles! Your silly mommy!" she said chuckling.
Elliot chuckled slightly and smiled "is Mr. Cuddles a person, animal or toy?"
"He's a toy. Mr. Nick won him for me at... at..." she clicked her tung trying to remember where they had just been.
"Coney island?" Elliot asked.
"Yeah!" she said nodding several times "easy there honey you're gonna make yourself dizzy," Amaro could be heard saying in the background.
Elliot and Olivia just chuckled slightly "can we play I spy?" she asked.
"We can try it sure," Elliot said and she nodded "I spy something with my little eye that's... green."
Olivia thought for a minute "is it your shirt?"
"No it's really big."
"Hmmm is it carpet? The floor you're on?" Elliot asked.
"Nnhnn it's outside."
"Ahhh I think I know what it is. It's leaves isn't it?" Olivia asked as they were so focused on the game that they didn't see a nurse walk in.
"Nnhnn it's on the ground and never stops..."
Elliot nodded "it's grass, it's got to be grass."
Izzabella clapped her hands happily "Mrs. Stabler?" the nurse said.
Elliot held a finger up at the nurse "Izzabella sweetheart we've gotta go now someone's here to see mommy but we'll call back before your bedtime okay?"
"You promise you will?"
"We promise baby, we love you so much," Olivia said.
"I love you too mommy, I love you daddy."
"Love you too baby," he said as once he hung up they glanced at the nurse "sorry about that," they said in unison.
She chuckled at their shared sentence "was that your daughter?"
"It was," Elliot said with a smile "we were playing I spy with her when you came in."
She nodded "gotcha she sounded really sweet," she said as she hung some meds on Liv's IV "Mrs. Stabler this will be your last round of IV antibiotics, once they finish going through I'll be able to take your IV out."
Olivia nodded "I can't wait," she said.
The nurse nodded "I usually find that most people can't. I just wanna say you are an extremely strong woman I don't know many people who would have the strength to survive what you did."
"Thank you ma'am although if I'm being completely honest with you I don't remember much of anything and I'm positive El got me through."
Elliot shook his head slightly "I held and soothed you but that's it your meds and body did the rest."
The nurse nodded "he's right Mrs. Stabler, do you need anything at all before I go?" she asked as they saw Fin walking in.
"I'm good thank you though," Liv said with a slight smile and she nodded and left "I got my flight out it leaves at 4," Fin said.
Elliot nodded "you looking forward to going back to work?"
"Yeah I am to be honest vacations, especially unpaid ones aren't really my style."
Olivia nodded "they weren't mine either for a really long time but as life's gone on I've realized that devoting my whole being to this job comes with a stiff price."
"I don't think it's been that stiff on you baby girl think about it you got your husband out of it."
She nodded "yes I did but I wasted so much time in the last two years, let him carry the whole load at home and I'm not gonna do that anymore."
Fin nodded slightly with an eyebrow raised "did you two have a fight or somethin?"
"No no not at all, I'm not saying I'm never gonna work again either just that I won't work as much as I worked before."
Fin nodded "gotcha, what ever you end up deciding though you know I'll always have your back."
Olivia nodded "of course," she said as Fin just smiled "Elliot I have something for you."
Elliot nodded "what is it?" he asked glancing over at him.
Fin reached into his pocket and pulled out a small paper "I heard you had to pay for all of the damages on the doors we broke down and since I helped you do it I don't think that's fair so here," he said as he handed him a check for 2 thousand dollars "a third of the damages."
"Ohh Fin you didn't have to..." Olivia said with a grateful but shocked look on her face as Elliot nodded "t-thank you Fin... I mean it thank you you don't realize how much you've just helped us..." he said.
"It was the least I could do Elliot I would have given it to you sooner but I didn't know then we all ended up here and I had to find a branch of my bank that would sell me a check book," he said as he then passed out fast food containers of Chinese to them both.
Elliot nodded as he was smiling "the money's gonna go to great use I promise you that."
Fin nodded "I know it will, look I've gotta head to the airport but Liv it's seriously so good to see you back like yourself again."
Olivia nodded and smiled "it feels good feeling like me again, thank you for everything you did for us this week I don't remember a lot but I remember flashes of you being here and trying to help."
Fin nodded "I wouldn't have been anywhere else you're like a sister to me."
Olivia continued to smile as she nodded touched "b-be safe on your flight home Fin."
"You too baby girl," he said as he then left and Elliot pulled her close to him "we get our bedroom suit baby, w-we get our bedroom suit."
Olivia nodded "we do," she said with a relieved expression "I-I know we would have gotten one anyway though."
Elliot nodded "a used one for sure but this way we get to buy a new one."
Olivia nodded "with out iron head or foot boards?"
Elliot nodded "of course baby, I was thinking we could just get a wooden headboard that leans against the wall and a seater chest that could serve as our footboard. It wouldn't look as pretty but there wouldn't be any rails or triggers."
Olivia nodded slightly "I like that idea. Thank you El."
Elliot shook his head "you don't have to thank me for that our bedroom is the place we're supposed to feel the most safe and I'll do anything, anything to help you feel safe in there again."
She nodded and hugged him tightly "I-I may not be able to go in there right away."
Elliot nodded "it'll be 100% at your pace sweetheart our guest bed is alright."
"A-Are you sure?"
"I'm positive," he whispered as he kissed her head gently "you ready to eat," he asked as she nodded her head and they shared their Chinese.
