Olivia made it to Amanda's car a little slower than expected as Izzabella had stopped her on her way out to show her the figures her and Zara had made together out of Play-doh and to give her goodbye hugs and kisses as when she got out there she frowned seeing the passenger seat already occupied "she beat you to it sorry," Amanda said chuckling.

Olivia sighed but chuckled despite herself "it's fine," she said as she climbed into the back of the car and opened her texting app I lost the front seat to a four year old pit bull mix can you believe that?

El: You're joking...

Liv: Nope she loves her dog slightly smiling face.

El: Don't let her pull out I'll move the dog baby.

Liv: Not worth an argument just figured you'd get a kick out of it besides she's already driven off. Love you El.

El: Not funny at all it's hot outside and you're on antibiotics and need the AC. Love you too baby. As when she read it she smiled "he's such a good man," she thought to herself not realizing she said it out loud.

"You didn't even make it a minute with out texting him? Lord god girl..."

"Hey how'd you know I was texting him?"

"Cuz you vocalized your thought out loud. Did you forget something?"

"No," she said with a smile.

Rollins nodded "spill then," she said with a smile.

"You don't wanna know trust me."

"Ahhh I bet you were sexting... Weren't you?"

"No! We never sext that's..."

"What?" she pushed.

"Inappropriate We don't want our phone company seeing that or anyone for that matter."

"Why?" she asked.

"Because it's private that's why. All sex is supposed to be private."

"There's nothing wrong with spicing it up every now and then I do risky things all the time."

"Yeah I know you do you know you're damn lucky the kids didn't see you this morning."

"Yeah I know... We really are sorry Liv we didn't mean for it to happen he came down from upstairs and boom before I knew it I was on top of him and"-

"Okay but you can't tell me that at some point in your life you didn't do something risky."

"Ohh I did, I was suspended for it though and so was he things like that have consequences."

"What'd you guys do?" she asked eagerly.

"That's private but I'll say one thing about it we had sex somewhere that we weren't supposed to and we were caught."

"Where? You have to tell me where."

Olivia groaned "the interrogation room. I'm not answering any more questions about it."

"Just one more was it in front of a suspect?"

"God no," Olivia said repulsed by the thought.

Rollins nodded "how long were you suspended for?"

"Two weeks and thankfully Cragen was kind enough to not inform IAB."

Rollins smirked "I bet you enjoyed every bit of that suspension."

"One question turned into two which turned into three so I'm done."

"Okay fine," Rollins said as she finally let the discussion go "I'm sorry Liv it won't happen again."

"Good. Next time you come back get a dog sitter or something too please Elliot's having to do a lot of cleaning today."

"He doesn't have to clean everything that she touched she's not poisonous or anything."

"I know but like I told you last night we hate the smell and the hair so just please..."

"Okay," she said after a minute and Olivia heard her phone ping "thank you Amanda."

"No problem," she said as she sighed slightly and turned the radio up a bit and Olivia checked her phone.

El: Talked to Amaro about their little stunt this morning. He said he was sorry that it wouldn't happen again I told him Izzabella heard it and asked questions.

Liv: That was definitely to close of a call. I talked to Rollins too she pretty much said the same thing.

El: Do you think she was sincere?

Liv: I hope so she seemed pretty interested in our sex life thought we were sexting earlier.

El: Lol never!

Liv: That's what I said! Smiling face with hearts emoji.

There was a couple minute delay then her phone pinged again El: Can't get the damn dog smell out of the cushions!

Liv: Maybe flip them over?

El: Good idea. Love you baby.

Liv: Love you too El xxxx she sent as Rollins pulled up at a clothing store "we're here," she said and Olivia nodded and got out.

They spent over an hour and a half in that store as Rollins had a buggy full of clothes and Liv had one dress and a nice pair of high heals "is that really all you're gonna buy Liv" Amanda asked shocked as they approached the checkout counter.

"Yeah it's all I need," she said with a smile as she put her purchases up there "you guys don't happen to customize wallets here by any chance do you?" she asked the cashier.

"No sorry this store is women's only," she said as she smiled at Franny when she wined "she's a cute dog."

"She's my life. That's why I love your store so much is because it's dog friendly," Rollins said.

The cashier just smiled and nodded "your total will be 72 dollars and 13 cents," she told Liv.

Olivia nodded and payed with her debit card as she typed 1820 in as her security code "do you want the receipt?"

"Yes please," she said as once she had it she stepped back so Rollins could pay "your total will be 814 dollars and 11 cents," she heard her say after a few minutes and a few minutes later they were on the road again.

"Where to now?" Rollins asked as it was Olivia's turn to choose.

"Walmart," she said with a slight smile as she held pressure to and gently rubbed one of her sore ribs "can you turn an air vent to face back here please?"

"Sure, are you sure you don't wanna go to Macy's or Victoria's Secret Liv?"

"I'm sure," she said with a smile and Rollins just nodded, slightly smiled and turned the radio back on.

They ended up in Walmart for a while too as Olivia had gotten everything she wanted to get in 15 minutes but Rollins had insisted on walking every isle "isn't it so fun to shop Liv? You walk through, see this and that and usually you don't even realize you wanted it until you've seen it."

"I mean in theory yeah Amanda it is but I don't see how you afford it."

"I have my ways," she said with a sly smile.

Olivia just nodded slightly "you're not gambling again are you?"

"No no of course not," she said a little to quickly as someone accidentally crashed their buggy into hers "sorry," he said with an apologetic look then quickly passed bye not seeing who she was "that's why it's bad to distract me in stores kiddo," Elliot told Izzabella who was sitting in the front of the buggy.

"I just wanted it though. Daddy can we please go back and get it?"

"You don't need beauty products baby," he said putting a box of fabric softener in the buggy none the wiser that Olivia was just one isle over.

"What's beauty products?"

Elliot chuckled "that's exactly why you don't need them," he said as he kissed her head "but to answer your question you were looking at makeup."

Izzabella just smiled as Olivia turned slightly thinking she heard a very familiar laugh but she didn't see him or their daughter so she turned back to Amanda "I think you have enough brands of blush and eyeshadow to last a while."

Rollins just chuckled and smiled as after a minute of debating it Olivia put a tube of scar cream into her buggy "do you need anything else from this isle? It's going on 4 and I have to get home so we can have dinner and get ready to take Izzabella to her movie tonight."

"Well I did wanna look at the eye liner and mascara..."

Olivia just nodded and they ended up spending a few more minutes in the beauty products isle "you know I really want a cake," Rollins ended up saying.

I'm never, ever ever going shopping with her again Olivia decided as they walked across the store and to the bakery in silence "what kind of cake do you want Rollins?" she asked hoping she could just grab it and steer them to the checkout line.

"You know I don't really know I'm just gonna have to look at everything they have... Mmm that one looks good..." she said as she pointed at a red velvet one "but that one does too..." as her eyes drifted to a chocolate cake with buttercream icing.

Olivia nodded "they do both look great. I'd get that one," she said pointing at the chocolate one.

"We'll buy it for you then," she said as she grabbed it and put it in Liv's buggy.

Olivia looked at the price tag "I can't Rollins it's 26 dollars and we have cake mix at home," she said as just then Elliot entered the bakery with Izzabella still not knowing that Liv was at the store "you can get one thing of cupcakes baby but that's it, and pick quick," he said as Olivia heard his voice, turned to look then waved while sighing in relief.

Elliot waved back with a smile but kept an eye on Izzabella "did you find one you can't resist Liv?" Rollins asked noticing her smile and more relaxed features.

"No, no actually I didn't," she said as she lifted the heavy sheet cake from her buggy and attempted to put it back "I've got it baby where does it go?" Elliot asked running over and gently taking it as Rollins nodded knowingly.

"That shelf right there," she said pointing and he nodded and put it back "did you buy out the hole store Rollins?" he asked glancing at her buggy.

"Lord no," she said through a slight chuckle then glanced at Liv "do you wanna go back up front and ask about"-

"They couldn't do it an hour ago and they won't be able to do it now it's alright I'll just figure out a way to have it done online."

"Okay then. I assume you're ditching me?"

She nodded "sorry," she said as she tried to seem apologetic although she was thrilled to get out of there "you can't go wrong with either cake trust me."

Rollins nodded "yeah well this one looks good too..." she said pointing at the lemon one.

"May I make a suggestion?" Elliot asked.

"Sure," Rollins said and Elliot smiled "narrow it down to two, take a coin out of your pocket then flip it."

She just sighed and Izzabella ran over "I want these daddy," she said handing him a trey of strawberry ones then saw Olivia "mommy!!!!" she squealed excitedly as she tried to jump into her arms.

"Hey baby!" she said with a smile as she caught her with her right arm, kissed her on the head and cheek a couple times then put her back in El's buggy since hers didn't have a lap belt "are you ready to check out El," she asked.

"Yeah but are you? I don't wanna rush you."

"I am I just need to get a couple things out of Amanda's car before we go."

Elliot nodded his head "it's unlocked with the AC on Liv," Rollins said.

Olivia nodded "see you around Rollins, thanks for helping me pick out the dress."

"No problem you guys have fun tonight," she said as she just put both the chocolate and lemon cakes in to her buggy.

"We will," she said as she shook her head to herself seeing that and the three of them went to check out.

"My god you were actually serious..." Elliot said shaking his head after loading their cleaning supplies in to the back of their truck shocked that Frannie was actually in the front seat of Rollins's car.

"I told you I was and you seemed like you believed me..." she said as she grabbed her dress and high heals from the back.

"I did I guess I just thought..."

"That we would have switched? Yeah me too El but it's okay really," she said as she closed Rolins's car back up then hopped into the front of theirs and reclined her seat back with a contented sigh.

"I have to say I wouldn't have been as understanding," he said as he buckled Izzabella in then drove off "you know she's lucky her car hasn't been stolen out here with it on, unlocked and with the keys in it."

"Yeah I know. Don't tell anyone I told you this but I think she's gambling again El," she said as she discreetly rubbed a sore rib.

Elliot noticed and began to silently stroke her hair "why do you think that?"

"Because she's spending beyond her means she spent 800 dollars at the women's clothes store we shopped at earlier."

"My god..." he said as he shook his head in shock.

"Yeah I know," she said as she yawned slightly "are you sleepy baby?" he asked softly.

"A little," she said as she yawned again.

He nodded "you wanna skip the movie then? Cuddle up on the couch together instead?"

"No Izzabella should get to do this I'll be fine El."

"You sure Liv? We can always take her to see it another time."

"I'm sure," she said as she yawned again "maybe stop stroking my hair though that puts me to sleep faster than anything else."

"Sorry," he whispered as he moved his hand.

She shook her head adamantly "no El don't be. Hey did dropping Lizzie off go okay?"

"It went perfectly I think she'll probably stay the night."

Olivia nodded and he smiled "you good with PBJ sandwiches for dinner? I'm not really gonna have time to cook anything before it's time to go."

Olivia nodded "that sounds great," she said as he nodded, they made their way home, went to the movie then had a smooth week.

June 21st, 11:31 AM, office of Dr. More.

"I have your X-ray results," he told Olivia as he faced her with a smile.

"Do you get to take it off?" she asked eagerly.

He nodded "I do," he said as before he could say anything else she shrieked in excitement and he just smiled "you made her day doc you truly did!" Elliot said as he stood and twirled her around in his arms.

"I'm glad I could giving good news is the part of my job that I like. You'll still wanna take it easy Mrs. Stabler, no lifting heavy objects with the hand to start but you can absolutely use it."

"I understand I won't go gung ho I promise."

"Yes you will," Elliot said as Olivia fake glared "shhhh!" she said.

He just smiled and kissed her temple and the doctor smiled at their dynamic "you guys should know once the cast's off the arm may have an oder for a few days. It's because of the dead skin it's totally normal."

"You're kidding right?" she asked.

"No I'm not sorry. It'll probably also have red itchy spots on it too."

"How romantic," she said sarcastically.

"It'll be alright," Elliot said softly and she just nodded "who knows you might get lucky and it not happen. You ready for me to take it off?" More asked.

"More than ready," she said as Elliot moved to her right side and began to stroke her hair while he prepped the cast saw.

Olivia's head instinctively relaxed into his hand and he smiled "I'm gonna begin now are you ready?" More asked walking over.

"Mmhmm," she said relaxed and he nodded and turned on the cast saw.

Olivia tensed a little "just focus on me baby," Elliot whispered.

Olivia nodded and focused her eyes on him "I'm hungry you know that?"

"Me too," she said in agreement.

Elliot smiled "you shouldn't have fasted with me baby."

"I couldn't let you do it alone."

He just nodded and kissed her temple "you know you two are the most devoted couple I've ever seen especially when it comes to each others needs."

They both smiled "we love each other that's why," Elliot said.

"I know you do," More responded with a smile as he finished removing Olivia's cast in silence.

Before they knew it Olivia's cast was off "I need to test your range of motion really quickly before you guys leave," he said.

Olivia nodded and slightly smiled "can you raise your arm above your head?"

She nodded and raised it as both Elliot and Dr. More smiled "now can you stretch it out in front of you?"

Olivia stretched it out "it feels a little stiff is that normal?" she asked.

"It is it's been immobilized for quite a while the stiffness should resolve over time. It may also be sore for a while that'll resolve too over the course of a few weeks."

Olivia nodded and More proceeded to have her do a couple more things with her arm and hand including moving it from side to side, squeezing his hand, gripping a pin then a clipboard "okay I think it's working great. I won't need to see you again until next year unless you end up needing to see me again for some reason."

She nodded with a slight smile "thank you doctor," she said as he nodded then turned to Elliot "the fact that your blood sugar read 86 today when we pricked your finger was a good sign but we're still sending the sample of blood that you gave us to the lab and we'll call you on Monday with the results."

Elliot nodded "they'll be negative," he said confidently.

"I think that's a good possibility but we'll call you either way and if they read positive we'll get you back in here and get you on medication so you can continue to live a happy and healthy life."

"Okay," he said with a slight smile as he stood from his chair and Liv followed suit "have a good rest of your day guys." More said.

"You too we're gonna go stuff our faces somewhere."

More chuckled and Liv smiled as he left the room and they followed behind arm and arm "so where do you wanna go honey?" Elliot asked as they walked through the lobby.

"How about to the diner? It's been a while and they make really good breakfast food."

"Sounds good," he said with a smile as they passed Walter "good you guys are smiling this time," he said.

"He took it off," Olivia said showing off her uncasted arm proudly.

"That's great I'm happy for you. Will I be seeing you guys again soon?"

"No offense to you but I hope not my A1C seems promising and Liv's in perfect health," Elliot said.

Walter nodded and went to respond but before he could the receptionist walked over "they need you in room 3 Walter."

He sighed, nodded and went back as Liv and El slipped out of the office and headed straight to their favorite diner for a big and hearty breakfast.

12:35 PM.

"I swear their eggs have only gotten better," Olivia commented as she ate.

"Better than mine?" El teased.

"No never," she said as he smiled and blew her a kiss from across the small table, ate another bite of hash browns then sighed when his phone pinged.

Leonard, it read as he clicked on the message, there were two photos attached and he opened it.

The first photo was of William Lewis who appeared to be walking towards a cell in Riker's maximum security unit as it was zoomed on the cast which was on his arm as I am a sexual sadist was written on the front with bright red permanent marker and I torture women for fun was written on the back in the same fashion.

Elliot smiled at the photo , put a heart on it then clicked on the second one as in that one two guys were holding him down while another was on top of him with his fly unzipped.

"Damn," he whispered to himself as he sighed and his expression grew thoughtful "what is it El?" Olivia asked having been silently watching him.

"It's this picture," he said as he slid his phone to her under the table and she took it , glanced at it then frowned deeply "the plan got a little out of hand didn't it?"

"It did... Baby I"-

Olivia shook her head "he's a monster but even monsters like him don't deserve that," she whispered.

"I know but.."-

She shook her head again "don't let them gang rape him Elliot you're better than that."

"Baby if they back down now it'll seem like some form of clemency to him."

She sighed as another message came through from Leonard yes or no man? We can't stay in this limbo for long other guards will pass by she read as she gave him his phone back to where he could see it then looked him in the eyes "yes if you let them rape him you'll feel good for the moment and he'll feel small, degraded and terrible like you want but if you don't? If you don't then he's always gonna have to remember that the people he hurt had mercy on him. Which pain do you think is worse for a guy like him? Because I'm pretty sure I know the answer," she whispered.

Elliot sighed as his features softened slightly no to rape yes to everything else, he sent as the waitress walked over "do you guys need refills or anything?" she asked cheerfully.

"No ma'am we're good thank you though," he said as they finished the rest of their meal in a slightly tense silence.

"Baby I'm sorry... I swear to god I didn't know that was gonna happen me and Leonard never talked about him possibly being gang raped," he said as he drove them to their therapy appointment.

"What did you expect El? They're a bunch of inmates and you know how inmates are."

He sighed "not that but you have to admit he deserved it he didn't rape you thank god but he raped other women."

She nodded slightly "you're not mad then?"

She nodded "we can agree to disagree and for what it's worth I do understand why you feel that way."

Elliot nodded his head "I love you baby, I'd kiss you but that'd be hard to do in this intersection."

"I understand. I love you too El," she said as she took his hand instead and a sense of calm and understanding washed over them.

1:24 PM.

"Well how about that we're early today," Olivia said as she smiled slightly and unbuckled herself.

"Yes we are. I'm hoping this session will be a little lighter than the last two."

"Yeah me too. That's doubtful though he seems to love to probe into deep stuff."

"Yeah he does. Olivette did too but she wasn't this bad and usually knew when to stop."

"True I'm gonna try for no tears today El."

He nodded "me too but if one of us does break down the other one will be right there."

She nodded "yes we will. You ready to go in?"

Elliot nodded "yeah," he said as he unbuckled his seatbelt, grabbed his diary then they walked in side by side, signed in then waited in the lobby.

At 1:33 Lindstrom's office door opened "you can come in guys," he said as they stood and walked in through a sort of heavy silence as they sat side by side on the couch but weren't quite touching.

"This is different for you two is everything okay?" Lindstrom asked slightly perplexed as he shut the door.

They both gave him slight smiles "yeah everything's okay we're just recovering from a small disagreement," El said.

And keeping our guards up so you won't turn us into crying messes again Olivia thought to herself as she gave a little nod "do you guys wanna talk about it? I mean we've gotta start somewhere right?"

"We already talked about it in the car it was just a small difference in opinion," Elliot said.

Lindstrom nodded "then what's causing the heavy sort of tension that I feel between you two right now?"

"I donno," he said.

Lindstrom nodded and decided he'd let the subject drop "Olivia we started with you last week so this time we'll begin with you Elliot tell me about your week?"

Elliot exhaled slightly "it was actually pretty good all things considered we went to the Queens pool a couple times I even got Liv to get in the lazy river with me."

Lindstrom smiled "that was a big step did you feel comfortable in your bathing suit Olivia? Or experience any self doubt or self deprecating thoughts?"

She shook her head "I actually felt quite comfortable out there we wrapped a plastic wrap around my cast so it wouldn't get wet and I wore a bathing suit cover so my scars wouldn't show."

He nodded "has Elliot seen your scars?"

She nodded "h-he's had to I had a hard time dressing myself because of my broken wrist so it was sort of unavoidable."

Lindstrom nodded "how do you feel when he sees them?"

She sighed "at first I was self conscious but now it doesn't really bother me anymore I mean we've been together for 8 years and I know he loves me for me not just my body so."

He nodded "can you tell me why you felt the need to where the bathing suit cover then?"

She sighed slightly "out in public is different there were more people there than just him and our kids were there the last thing I needed was strangers gawking at them or the kids having questions about how I got them."

Lindstrom nodded as Elliot stroked her hair and her head leaned into his palm "Elliot are you happy with how the swimming trip went?" he asked.

"More than happy doc. I was thrilled she decided to get in and I was happy she felt comfortable with it."

"Even with her wearing the cover over her bathing suit?"

Elliot nodded "she could wear rags over her clothes and I wouldn't care I just love her so much," he said as he leaned over and kissed her lips.

Olivia returned the kiss in kind and Lindstrom smiled glad that the room didn't seem so heavy anymore "you know sometimes I'm shocked our relationship has lasted as long as it has," Elliot said as he continued stroking Liv's hair then kissed her temple reassuringly.

Despite his efforts to prevent it she still tensed up some "well you know I'm not a marriage counselor but are you having second thoughts?" Lindstrom asked.

"No the opposite I'm in awe of us. I mean you don't know this about us but we're opposite in so many ways. I'm catholic she's not very religious, we're polar opposite's politically and she's extremely moral and principled when I'm umm... What would you call me honey?" he asked Liv.

Olivia's body was relaxing again as she thought "headstrong, quick to follow your gut no matter what, no matter where it leads you."

Elliot smiled as Lindstrom smiled and nodded too "your relationship works because you're both fond of and respect those qualities in the other. Am I right to say that the two of you balance each other out?"

"Yeah," Elliot said as Liv nodded "it helps that we're moderate in most of those things too we're always willing to listen to the other."

Lindstrom nodded with a slight smile "lets get out of this rabbit hole Elliot did you bring your rage diary in today?"

He sighed slightly "yeah," he said as he handed it to him.

Lindstrom nodded, opened it and began to read the one entry he had written down allowed "ex caused me to have to hit the punching bag last night. I swear she's acting so incompetent when it comes to Lizzie I wanna shake the sense back into her so badly it's frightening. She used to not be like this she used to always encourage our children to flourish and grow I don't know if Jim has caused this change in her but I do know I wouldn't have gotten through this without Liv. She's my angel, my rock, my light, my love, my world"

Olivia blushed and Elliot just pulled her closer to him "when you wrote that you wanted to shake the sense back into her so badly that it was frightening did you mean that literally?" Lindstrom asked.

"Sort of... I mean I'd never actually shake her but I feel like somebody should do something she used to be a completely different person."

Lindstrom nodded "can you elaborate on that?"

Elliot nodded "she was a good mother. Kind, shy a little to sweet she was always a little wary of me after tough cases that was why we divorced my work and intensity became to much for her."

He nodded "was it an amicable split?"

"At first yeah."

Lindstrom nodded "when did things go wrong?"

Elliot sighed "about two years later when she tried to seduce me."

Lindstrom nodded "how long were you guys married before you divorced?"

"A little over 20 years."

Lindstrom nodded "20 years is a long time to be with someone I can see why she would have wanted to give it another go."

He sighed "me too and I did feel a little bad for her at the time but I had already moved on, me and Liv were in a good place and the divorce had been final for a while."

Lindstrom nodded "so you denied her advances then what happened?"

Elliot sighed again "I left, went back to my apartment. She started keeping the kids away from me as much as she could, only let them see me the minimum amount stated in the divorce. She was bitter, jealous, hateful. Things stayed that way for a few years then she started dating Jim, her husband now a-and the next thing I knew I was in court and the kids were carted off to Florida," he whispered as he had tears in his eyes by the end and Olivia rubbed his shoulder gently in silent support.

"I see... Tell me how are they all doing now?"

He sighed "Maureen's great she's engaged to a great guy. Kathleen she's finding her way in life she wants to be a trauma therapist like you. We aren't speaking right now though."

"Why's that?"

"Because I had her boyfriend arrested. He was a drug dealer and no good for her. She doesn't see that though he had her completely manipulated and as far as she's concerned I took away the guy she loves."

Lindstrom nodded "she'll see that you were just doing what you thought was best once some time passes. How about your other kids?"

"As far as I know Dickie's in the army Kathy signed the consent forms once they were in Florida. Lizzie's doing good me and Liv are teaching her the life skills she needs and letting her have some of the independence that she didn't get to have while she was down south."

He nodded "did I misunderstand? I assumed from what you said before that your ex wife got full custody of her?"

"She did, drug her out of there crying like it was the easiest thing in the world but she's 19 now they can't keep her away from me anymore."

Lindstrom nodded as Olivia's phone started to ring "sorry," she whispered as she went to silence it then saw it was Lizzie "I need to take this sorry."

"That's okay," Lindstrom said as she nodded "hello?" she answered.

"Hey. Uhh I'm sorry to bother you Liv but there's a guy here at the house. He has a white shirt on with a UPS logo on it and he says he has something for you and he needs me to sign for it is that okay?"

"Is his truck UPS too?"

"Yeah it has a giant logo on it."

"Okay that's fine then sweetie it's probably your dad's anniversary present."

"Ohh okay. The box is small."

"His present is small. Go ahead and sign for it honey. Thanks for calling we'll be home soon."

"You're welcome. I love you Liv."

"Love you too sweetie," she said as she quickly hung up "sorry," she said again.

"It's okay," he said as he put his notebook down then looked back to Elliot "thank you for explaining all that to me I'm able to help my patients more when I have the full story. Can you tell me what has you the most angry at your ex wife? Because I sense deep anger there."

He nodded "it's the way she lets Jim treat our daughter and the way she treats Olivia like she's this... This," he sighed heavily, his hands shaking while he tried to think of the right words.

"Take a deep breath and count to 10 in your head," Lindstrom said as Olivia rubbed his back.

Elliot sighed, took a few slow deep breaths and focused on her touch "this person who destroyed the family when she isn't Kathy's the one who asked for the divorce. Once we divorced I moved on tell me doc how the hell is that Olivia's fault?"

Lindstrom nodded "are you saying that you believe that Kathy is the person who destroyed the family?"

He sighed "yeah, yeah I guess I am doc I mean we were never gonna get back together what I have with Liv is like... It's like nothing I ever had before but Kathy could have, should have been an adult about it instead of being petulant if she had of maybe we could have all been friends and coparents."

Lindstrom nodded attentively and Liv nodded in agreement "the sad thing too is sometimes she'll be really kind then a few days later she'll turn ugly again. The hole thing just hurts my heart because I know El would be happier if we all got along and god I try, I really do but she's jealous of me and I'm not gonna leave him so she'll like me so I don't really know what else I can do."

"There's nothing else you can do baby," Elliot said softly and Lindstrom nodded "from my viewpoint I believe this is something that the two of them need to work through on there own. Until the jealousy passes or at least becomes more manageable for her though I honestly doubt anything will change. Elliot what would you be willing to do to make a friendship work between the two of you?"

He sighed "I think it's to far gone doc I really do but if she ever made an attempt to talk to us rationally with out the jealousy, insults and sarcasm then maybe we could all work something out."

He nodded "so she'll have to take the first step?"

"Yeah," Elliot said and Lindstrom nodded letting that conversation drop "so we've talked about your outings, your kids and your ex wife but what we haven't talked about yet today is your home."

Elliot nodded "it's been a great week doc it really has we all spent time together as a family, me and Lizzie finished painting the bedroom yesterday I'm just waiting on it to completely dry before I rearrange everything."

He nodded "Olivia have you been in there yet?"

"I haven't I've been afraid of how I'd react when I went in."

He nodded "now that it's fully painted do you feel any differently about it?"

She sighed "a little I mean I know they've both worked really hard to make it look different so I really wanna see it but my gut's still screaming that I'm not ready and then there's me not wanting El to think that I don't appreciate everything they've been doing."

"I'd never think that baby do you remember what we decided when we first went back home?"

Olivia nodded "that we'd go at my pace but I feel like it's to slow..."

He shook his head "it's not there's no set in stone timeframe on healing baby."

She nodded slightly and Lindstrom looked to her "can you tell me what happened in that bedroom?"

She sighed and shuddered as Elliot went into protector mode and immediately pulled her into his arms gently "s-short version L-Lewis cuffed me to the bed, gagged me and tortured me."

Lindstrom nodded sympathetically "it does help to recite what happened to you the more you recite it the easier it gets but I know you're not ready for that yet so I won't ask you to do that today and Elliot you can relax."

They both sighed in relief and Olivia moved from out of his arms and they resumed their side to side contact "did you guys keep the same bed?" he asked.

Elliot shook his head as he stroked her hair "we gave it to a newly married couple."

Lindstrom nodded "and the new bed, is it similar in appearance?"

"Not really it's a little bigger and we got a wooden headboard with no rails i-it'd be almost impossible to handcuff someone to it."

He nodded "then I think there's a good chance of it going okay when you go in Olivia."

She nodded and Elliot kissed her temple gently "it's still at your pace though," he reiterated.

She nodded with a slight smile "maybe taking a picture and showing it to me would be a good starting point?" she asked El.

He nodded "I'll do that baby," he said as she nodded with a smile and Lindstrom smiled too "we actually are about to go over our allotted time but I do have a couple more questions have either of you had any more nightmares?"

"I had one 3 nights ago but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary for me," he said as Olivia nodded "I've had a few this week but El was able to get me back to sleep with in a couple minutes."

He nodded "that's good I'm glad to hear that you've both been making progress. How about your homework Olivia. The key?"

She sighed slightly "I-I haven't yet..."

Lindstrom tried his best to hide his frown "why not?"

"I-I don't know I guess I just... I-I don't know."

He nodded "did you bring your wallet with you? I remember Elliot saying your keys were in there."

She shook her head and he just nodded "I'd like to see you again next week. Elliot I'm comfortable with two weeks for you but I don't know if"-

He nodded "it'll be up to Liv I'll probably come in too though."

Lindstrom nodded his head as they all 3 stood, this being Lindstrom's last appointment for the day as they all ended up walking out to the parking lot together, Lindstrom slightly behind them as he had had to take the time to lock his office.

"Can I drive El? It's been so long since I've been able to," he heard Olivia ask as he smiled to himself knowing that she would in fact hold a key for this but also felt a little bad that he hadn't congratulated her getting her cast removed.

"Of course honey, do you want me to crank the truck?"

"Please? Just so I can drive home with out the chance of a flashback," he heard her say as he sighed "but I wanna try taking them out when we get home," he then heard as he smiled slightly and made his way to his vehicle to leave.
