Lung lunged, his grey scaled claws wreathed in fire. Chimera raised his magma-like arm, the blow bouncing off before smashing his crystal fist into Lung's mouth, snapping his head back and shattering his jaw with a loud crunch.

Lung stumbled back a few steps, falling to his hands and knees as his broken jaw hung limply from his face, a thick stream of blood washing away in the rain. He gazed up as his jaw mended itself, his vision refocusing before zeroing in on Chimera's malicious smirk.

Baring his ivory fangs-his mouth now healed-he roared loudly and leapt forward.

Dennis was frozen, his heart pounding in his ears as he beheld the clash of the two beasts. Lung, a towering demon of flame and rage stood wrapped in a thick shawl of steam as the rain dissolved around him, furiously slashing and punching his foe with a wild hatred. Chimera, a deformed abomination mad with hatred and bloodlust, returned the barrage, all the while smiling and laughing as he blocked and countered, his four arms overwhelming Lung's defenses and striking him where he was weakest. Each punch landed like an explosion, the shockwaves bursting the air and dispelling the rain around them.

Hypnotized by the brutality, it was Amy's trembling hand that snapped him out of his trance.

"We have to get out of here."She said, her voice shaking. After a few tense seconds he nodded.

"Yeah, yeah okay, I'll call the PRT."He said while slowly backing away from the alley's entrance. Together, the two turned and ran away from the feral struggle, Dennis pulling his phone out of his pocket to speed dial Armsmaster. They got half way down the alley before hearing a loud crash behind them. Suddenly the wall to their right trembled before a large blast of fire tore through the bricks just in front of them.

"Whoa!"Dennis yelped as they screeched to a halt,"Not that way not that way!"

They quickly turned around and ran back the way they came. They almost reached the mouth of the alley before Lung was launched out of the wall, smashing his back into the adjacent building, his bulk cracking and cratering the old structure.

"Not that way either!"Dennis panicked, grabbing Amy's hand and leading her down another path as Lung stood up with an enraged bellow and charged back into the crumbling store.

They sprinted down the pavement, their shoes soaking in the water from every splash they made running through the puddles. Behind them they could hear the fight, the collapsing of the buildings, the roaring and grunting; the noise pushing them further as adrenaline and terror pumped through their veins.

Amy chanced a glance when another loud crash sounded behind them and felt her heart skip a beat. Lung and Chimera were grappling with one another, angrily bashing each other into the surrounding walls with reckless abandon. Chimera tossed Lung off of him as his magma limb glowed brightly before shooting a large fireball that Lung swiftly evaded before retaliating with a powerful claw swipe.

The large ball of flames shot down the narrow path, quickly gaining on the two teens as they reached the entrance of the alley. Amy, lit by the approaching flames, made a split second decision relinquishing her hand from Dennis and pushing the ward off to the side, just barely saving him as the fire consumed her in a loud explosion.

Lung bent over as a strong hit from Chimera's lower arms nailed him in the stomach before he felt himself being picked up. Chimera held Lung over his head before spinning around and tossing him with a grunt. Lung roared as he flew helplessly through the air, his body soaring over several city blocks. Chimera grinned and flew after him, his wings buzzing rapidly.

Dennis pushed himself up from the ground, groaning from the hard impact his head made with the sidewalk, before turning to look behind him.

His eyes honed in on a limp form that lay over the edge of the street; heavily burned and blistered with not a single sign of movement.

A lead weight sank into his stomach.

"No."He whispered dreadfully.

To the people going down Baker Avenue, it happened without warning. The people in their cars screeched to a halt as a large object fell in the middle of the street, cratering the ground with its weight. Long time inhabitants of the city were quick to recognize Lung-even as transformed as he was-and quickly exited their vehicles to run as far away from the draconian villain as they could.

Lung shook his head, dust and rubble dislodging from his body as he pushed himself up using his elbows. With his enhanced hearing, he picked up the jackhammer like buzzing over the rain. His head shot up and caught a glimpse of Chimera's smirking face before the large villain landed atop him, the impact rattling the street and setting off all the car alarms. Lung gasped as he felt his ribs snap and pierce several of his organs. Before his body could heal, Lung was hauled to his feet and punched into the skyscraper across the street.

He was only given a second before Chimera was on him again, dashing forward in a burst of speed before nailing him straight in the face with a powerful jab. Lung grit his teeth, his vision fuzzy, and threw a punch that Chimera easily caught, the same happening with his other hand.

Pinning the gangster's arms to the wall, Chimera flexed the claws on his bottom arms before he got to work slicing and slashing away the scales and skin on his abdomen, large splatters of blood splashing across the pavement.

Lung roared in agony, his body glowing an intense light before exploding in a large conflagration of heat and power-the surprise causing Chimera to stumble back and leaving himself open when Lung lifted his leg and placed a hard kick to Chimera's chest, launching the amalgamous monster across the street to smack into the opposite building.

Lung huffed deep breaths as his bones and muscles knitted themselves back together with several snaps and pops, the pain slowly beginning to dull as he observed his foe.

Chimera for his part, seemed none the worse for wear, standing up with no issue and regarding the cape across from him casually. He spit a large green wad to the side, before grinning nastily.

"That all you got?"He mocked.

Lung sneered, the air around him rippling as the heat intensified. They sprung towards each other, meeting in the center of the street. Lung caught the crystal fist coming for him as Chimera caught Lung's scaled hand in return. They pushed against each other, the street cracking and straining from the pressure they exuded from their struggle. Lung growled, his body glowing again before roaring and unleashing a river of flame from his body that washed over Chimera's form. As the fire streamed over him, Chimera remained silent, letting the fire rinse off him like a river to a stone.

When the stream of fire finally ended, Chimera was unphased, tiny wisps of smoke being the only indication that anything had happened at all. Staring straight into Lung's burning eyes he said with his cocksure smile,"My turn."

His large bulbous eye began to spark and glow an acidic light green before firing a laser point blank into Lung's face. Lung yelled in pain as his face was consumed by the emerald light; he released his grip on Chimera and lurched back, his hands going to the charred and smoking half of his face. While he was distracted, Chimera shot forward in a burst of speed, ramming into the writhing man and pushing him through several buildings with loud crashes.

They came to a stop various streets over, both covered in a light coat of dust and masonry before Chimera hurled Lung into a convenience store. Lifting his magma arm, Chimera aimed at the building before shooting a fireball after Lung, the orb lighting up and exploding in a brilliant display that set the interior of the building ablaze. It grew quiet for a few tense seconds, and Chimera began to feel let down.

"Is this it?"Chimera muttered disappointedly."First those Empire clowns now you? Is anyone in this stinking town as tough as they say?"

He was dragged from his mumbling when he noticed a stirring in the burning storefront. From the fire, Lung slowly emerged, his body healed and now standing the same height as Chimera, also appearing much bulkier than before. Lung huffed a stream of flame from his nostrils and glared murderously at the monstrous cape.

Chimera felt his smile stretch across his face.

"You want some more?"He taunted, beckoning him further with his hands,"Come on!"

Lung howled, dashing forwards to throw a heavy haymaker. Chimera was surprised when he caught the blow and his arm trembled from the exertion. The brief shock cost him as Lung's other hand wrapped around his neck and began to squeeze. His eyes widening when he feels his throat slowly begin to constrict.

Growling in annoyance, Chimera grabbed the Lung's Wrist and began to pry the clawed hand from him. When he was released, Chimera pushed Lung back before leaping forward and throwing several punches across Lung's face, the blows rocking his head side to side. A low blow to the gut bent Lung over before Chimera clasped his two hands together and brought them down on Lung's shoulders, the impact making the villain fall to his knees.

Before he could continue, Lung struck back with a sharp uppercut that nailed Chimera right in the chin, causing him to grunt before a hard straight landed right in his stomach, causing him to wheeze and back away before a hard hammer blow smashed him in the cheek, his head briefly ringing as a trail of saliva was knocked loose.

Momentarily dizzy, he was unprepared when Lung wrapped his arms around his torso and lifted him up to toss the murderous villain down the street; his body bouncing across the asphalt, smashing through cars and breaking the ground as he went. He skidded to a halt on the other end, his mind working to clear itself from the disorienting experience. Shaking his head, Chimera got back to his feet before focusing back on Lung. The reptilian scaled man roared while pounding his chest, mocking his opponent and demanding him to continue.

Chimera grit his teeth and snarled, the rain dripping slowly down his body and matting his hair.

'Oh, you are so dead.'He thought menacingly.

Chimera bent his knees before zipping forwards in a blur of speed. He struck Lung, launching the villain off his feet before he could even react. As Lung landed on his back, Chimera sped down the opposite way, leaving a brief gust of wind and displaced water in his wake.

Lung barely got to his feet before another strong blow landed on his back, this time launching him onto his stomach. Barely a second after getting to his feet again he was hit, this time on his side, the blow causing him to teeter. Over and over again, Chimera sped from all different directions, landing hit after hit against his adversary. The blows sounded like thunder as they crunched Lung's scales. The next attack carved a large deep wound across his side; blood splattering in the rain soaked street as a small glimpse of his ribs were visible before the wound started to heal itself. Growling in frustration, Lung tensed, trying to extend his senses to see if he could predict where the next blow would come from. Lung blinked in surprise when Chimera stopped right in front of him, his magma arm held back and glowing intensely.

The punch connected against his face before the limb exploded with fire and smoke, the attack throwing Lung off his feet. Disoriented and dizzy as he spun through the air, Lung pried a single eye open before Chimera's crystal fist smashed into his face, pushing him into the ground and dragging him through the pavement, his body carving a long trench through the asphalt.

When they stopped, Chimera stared down at Lung; several spots across his body were bent and bleeding, indented scales sat alongside numerous gashes that came from being dragged through the street-many pieces of dark rock still lodged in the wounds. But Chimera could see the flesh start to knit together, the scales mending themselves and dislodging any debris before closing the openings. Lung's eyes even began to regain some of their focus.

He clenched his fists and bellowed before he drove his fist down into Lung's face. He lifted the limb only to throw down the other, then repeated this again, and again, and again. His arms became blurs, striking dozens of times in mere seconds as he pushed Lung into the street, flecks of blood smearing against his hands. He didn't know how long he kept at it, but he pummeled Lung's head into the ground deeper and deeper; only stopping when his entire torso was submerged beneath the dark rock.

He stepped back, breathing heavily as he watched the prone form intently: just waiting for him to so much as twitch. When nothing happened, he breathed a sigh before spitting on the body.

"And stay down."He snarled. He turned around and began to walk away. He only made it a few steps before a wave of heat washed over his back and the sound of shifting gravel reached his ears.

He spun around, his eyes widening when Lung began to arise. Dust and rubble fell from his body as not only were his injuries healing, Lung himself seemed to be growing as well.

His muscles expanded as he grew larger, his arms becoming as thick as tree trunks, his claws lengthened into twelve inch talons, and his face twisting, becoming less human and more feline looking. Standing up to his full height, he now stood a good few feet over Chimera-at least 15 feet-and as he glared down at the other villain, he took one lumbering step forward before inhaling deeply and releasing a loud bellowing roar.

Chimera growled and raised his hands.

The two monstrous capes lunged for each other, their large fists reared back before launching them forward to connect to each other's heads: a large shockwave sending the two sliding backwards. Chimera recovered quickly and pounced on Lung, flooding him with a barrage of earth shattering punches.

Spinning around, Chimera's striped tail lashed out and smashed into Lung's ribs. Lung grabbed a hold of the tail, dragging Chimera off his feet and tossing him into the side of a building. He groaned softly before hastily dodging to the side to avoid Lung's flaming hand as it speared through the wall. The fingers on his crystal arm molded together to form a large spike that he stabbed into Lung's stomach, drawing a pained howl from the transformed gangster. Lung swung his large arm, connecting with Chimera, and dislodging the spike as the other villain was sent skidding across the ground.

Digging his four hands into the street, Chimera ground to a halt before launching back over to Lung, flipping in the air to connect his feet to the giant's chest, the impact shooting Lung's massive bulk across the street to topple an apartment building. Slamming his crystal fist into the street, a large row of lime green spikes shot out of the ground towards Lung's prone form, the sharp tips piercing through Lung's body.

Gritting his teeth against the pain, Lung ripped the crystals from his torso before standing up and making a beeline for Chimera. Chimera watched his run towards him, unbothered as Lung's arms lit themselves on fire before he raised them high and brought them down in a supreme hammer blow. The street shook as the attack cratered the ground. Lung blinked, confused to see Chimera had disappeared. Just behind him however, Chimera reappeared as he dropped his invisibility.

Lung felt a large hand grab his shoulder spin him around before his vision was blocked by a flaming fist. The hit landed like an artillery shot, sending sparks before his eyes before another hit crashed into his gut, forcefully evicting the air from his lungs. Chimera clasped his large hands together and swung, connecting with Lung's jaw, violently dislocating it once again. Chimera went to attack again before Lung suddenly shot forward, his shoulder striking Chimera heavily in the chest-briefly disorienting him long enough for Lung to grab Chimera by the head with both hands and slam his opponent onto the ground.

Lung proceeded to rain blow after blow upon Chimera's downed form, the amalgamous villain raising his arms to protect himself from the heavy strike that he was being assailed with. Turning intangible now, Chimera sank into the street, letting Lung's fists crack the ground instead. Roaring in frustration, Lung looked all around him, keeping vigilant for whenever his foe would reappear.

Chimera floated up from behind him, turning tangible before molding his crystal hand into a hammer like shape, he took a step forward and swung-being caught off guard when Lung swiftly turned around and intercepted the blow. Lung's cat-like face shifted into something trying to resemble a smile as he squeezed the crystal appendage tightly.

"Oh man."Chimera muttered before Lung's other hand rose up and impacted straight in his face. He repeated the attack a few more times before wrapping his hand around Chimera's throat and lifting the villain over his shoulder to slam him down onto the ground. Arms lighting up once more, Lung leveled his arms at the down villain before releasing a point blank explosion of fire that washed the surrounding area in flames.

Lung blinked when the flames surrounding them began to swirl and converge onto a singular spot. He looked down, seeing Chimera absorb the fire into his magma like arm. Snarling, Lung raised his arms to strike again, but as Chimera's arms shone brilliantly-temporarily blinding the villain-his arm released the store energy, leveling the street in a massive explosion.

Lung shot through the air, smashing through more buildings before ending his impromptu flight crashing into a storefront on the next street over. Shaking his head, Lung dragged himself out of the ruined store, shaking off dust and glass shards before trudging back towards his foe and only coming to a stop when his furious gaze fell on the other villain as he dragged himself out of the pit he had created.

In the middle of a large crater of smoking asphalt, Chimera picked himself up before looking around the destroyed burning street before he honed in on Lung's snarling visage. He mirrored the expression.

The two monsters stood apart from each other, their eyes burning with determination and murder. With their brief exchange they could tell, this fight was far from over; and neither one would be willing to give up or run away. This would be a battle with only one survivor.

They roared, their voices promising agony as they echoed through the decimated streets.

Just in case anyone's wondering, that green eye laser's from Upgrade. One of his lesser used abilities.

Normally I'd complain about length but this was so full of action that I don't even care. And this was only just the first part, yikes.

Anyways, tell me what you think, stay safe and have a good night.
