Prologue

This is Ray Chiu here and this story is influenced by all the others watching the show fanfics, but mostly ii-Phoenix-ii's Power to Strive. I am going to make a similar one but different, and since there are not many Seasons 3 and 4, I will basically write them first and then seasons 1 and 2.

When the day of the 57th expedition is about to start, the new recruits, the Levi Squad, Hange Squad, Mike Squad, and Commander Erwin wake up to find themselves in a mysterious room filled with chairs and a giant screen in front of them.

"What is going on? How did we end up here?" Eren asks with confusion.

Armin looks around and says, "Look at all the people here... there are Garrison and the Military Police..."

"And we don't have our weapons with us..." Jean says. "So how are we here exactly?"

Sasha notices the snacks on the table by the side and says, "Good thing this place has some snacks we can eat!"

"Hold on, Sasha, are you sure you can just take the food?" Connie asks but sighs as Sasha is already eating the pie. "Never mind."

"Guys! You're here as well!" Eren spots Mikasa and the others, and Mikasa says, "Eren! Do you know what is going on?"

"How did I know? My Titan can't do this kind of thing..." Eren says.

At the same time, Levi walks toward Commander Erwin and says, "This could be a problem, I don't see any exists."

"That means we're stuck here..." Oluo mutters.

Armin notices Annie and says, "Wait, Annie? What are you doing here?"

Annie flinches as she says, "I could ask the same thing... I was sleeping in my room and suddenly I'm here... I thought I chose the Military Police instead of the Scouts."

Reiner says, "Maybe we'll find out soon enough."

"Hello everyone, I was the one who bring you here." Just then, they turn to see a girl standing in the doorway. She has raven hair, and she seems to be wearing some sort of black and golden military outfit. Erwin asks, "Who are you?"

"Welcome to my home. My name is Ray, and I'm the guardian of this place. Right now, you're in the gap of time. Since you're here, the time of your world has been stopped."

"Time has been stopped? You can do that?" Hange asks.

"Of course, however, the reason I bring you here is that I want your help." Ray says with a frown. "You see, the future isn't as bright as you seem, which is why I want you guys to see it so you can find some ways to prevent it from happening."

"What do you mean the future isn't bright?" Armin asks. "Can you tell us about it?"

"I will reveal everything on this thing called TV." Ray says. "However, I will like to prevent spoilers as possible, unless it is related to this."

This causes a lot of people to look at each other, and Gunther asks, "Why should we trust you?"

"Since you're not going anywhere, you might as well trust me with this. And I promise you, everything will be useful." Ray says.

"I guess we should trust him." Erwin says, "Besides, it might be helpful to our future as well."

Ray says, "And before we begin, you might be wondering what the timeline is. It will be after two months. During the two months, you already figured out who the Armored Titan and the Colossal Titan are."

This causes Reiner, Bertolt, and Annie to flinch. Hange asks, "Who are they?"

"I'm sorry I have to do this, but the Armored Titan is Reiner, and the Colossal Titan is Bertolt." Ray says.

This causes all of them to flinch as everyone turns to the two of them. Connie says, "You two are also Titans? You are responsible for the death of Thomas and Mina, and everyone else who died in the past 5 years? Please tell me it is a joke..."

"I-" Before they can say, Ray says, "I said no violence in this room. Reiner, Bertolt, and Annie. I think you should tell them everything about Marley and Eldians."

"Wait, even Annie is in this too?" Armin asks with shock.

As for the adult scouts, they don't know the three of them as well as the others, but hearing what they've done, they are also furious.

Reiner sighs, "I know we've done a lot of regretful things, but please hear us out...Centuries ago, the power of the Titans was under the control of a nation known as the Eldian Empire. The Eldians used the Titans as weapons of mass destruction to conquer other nations, wiping out countless cultures in the process. Eventually, the Eldians ran out of enemies and began fighting each other, which causes the downfall of the empire. Using this to his advantage, the Marleyans, one of the races that had been dominated by the Eldians, sought victory. With the help of the Tybur family, they destroyed the empire and drove what's remained to Paradis Island."

The Scouts remain silent, and they start to think about what they've said. Reiner continues, "Marley gained control of 7 of the 9 powers: The Colossal, the Armored, the Female, the Jaw, the Warhammer, the Beast, and the Cart. Of the remaining two, one was supposed to be lost until Eren showed up having it."

This causes everyone to look at Eren for a moment before facing their enemies, Hange asks, "Does Eren's Titan have a better name than the Rogue Titan?"

"Yes. It is called the Attack Titan. And there is the final Titan, the strongest of them all that belonged to the King of Eldia. This is known as the Founding TItan, with its power, it can create and control the Titans at will. The King moved the capital to Paradis Island, Eldia's last remaining territory, and gathered as many Eldians as he could on the island. With its powers, he uses millions of Colossal Titans to form three walls: Maria, Rose, and Sina."

"Hold on, so that means inside the walls are..." Petra gasps.

"Yes. Inside the walls, Colossal Titans lie dormant even to this day." Bertolt says. "After building the walls, the King turned Paradis into a hermit kingdom, cut off from the rest of the world. In order to guarantee temporary peace for the people inside the walls, the king left behind a warning to the rest of the world. He said that if his peace was ever disturbed, he would unleash the Wall Titans, and use them to trample the earth."

This causes everyone to gasp in shock. Armin says, "So... we're not the last of humanity..."

Ray says, "However, what they're saying is from the perspective of Marley. Let me give you the true version. "Helos is not some sort of Hero for Marley. The whole thing was set up by the Eldia King Karl Fritz. He believed that Eldia's sins cannot be atoned for and that Eldians and Titans should not have existed in the first place. He teamed up with the Tybur Family and fabricated a Marleyian hero to destroy the Eldian Empire."

This causes Reiner, Bertolt, and Annie to widen their eyes in shock. Annie says, "Great, I know something is wrong with the history..."

"The other nations outside the world see that as a threat, and that's why Marley forced Reiner, Bertolt, and Annie to attack Wall Maria... They believe that Paradis is a ticking time bomb and that it's only a matter of time before the Wall Titans are released. Consequently, they want to eliminate this threat. The other reason is they want to recover the Founding Titan. While Marley has managed to stay a world superpower because of the power of the Titans, the world is changing. It won't be long before conventional weapons will surpass the power of the Titans. In order to maintain their position in the world, they need to take back the Founding Titan."

Now everyone feels pity for the three of them, they realize they are just 10 years old when they're doing this, and they are forced to.

"While the king threatened to trample the world, this was never his true intention. It was merely an empty threat meant to buy himself temporary peace. He made a vow of renouncing war. The Founding Titan's true power can only be used by one of royal blood. But because of the vow the King made, all of his descendants who inherit the power of the Founding Titan cannot use it, as they are bound by his will. The King knew that sooner or later the Walls would be attacked, and he planned to allow everyone inside the walls to die in order to atone for all the bloodshed the Eldian Empire had caused in the past. That's why the King's descendants do nothing when Wall Maria falls."

Erwin's face becomes grave as he processed what Ray was saying, and Bertolt feels his chest tighten because all of the attempts are pointless as they are never going to succeed. Annie scowls as their plan is never going to succeed and it is because of Reiner that she is forced into this.

Armin thinks, "All of them...Eren's mother...my grandfather...all of them died...all of them died...because of something our ancestors did? Something we didn't even remember? What kind of person…"

Ray says, "And in order to guarantee peace within the walls, and to keep the people in the dark, he stole away their memories of the outside world, and led them to believe that they were the last of humanity in a world that had been overrun by Titans."

This causes them to be disgusted, Erwin says, "So my father's theory was right all along..."

"But how did you know all of this?" Hange asks, "It is still crazy if you think about it..."

"The Eldians who did not flee to Paradis Island were conquered by Marley. Marley spared these Eldians, who became second-class citizens. They were forced to reside within internment zones and separate from the Marleyan population. Marley used their new influence to spread slander of the Eldian Empire, claiming they had resorted to eugenics against the other races of the world for years. Any Eldians accused of committing wrongdoing against the Marleyans were sent to "Heaven" and turned into Pure Titans, doomed to wander for eternity."

"That means... the Titans that we killed, they were once humans?" Eren asks.

This causes outrage in everyone in the scouts. Mike mutters, "Humans... Titans are once humans..."

"That means all this time we have been killing humans..." Oluo feels horrified at himself.

"But that means... all of us can become like these Titans, right?" Jean asks as now everyone is horrified. Ray says, "Not all of you. But only two of you won't be able to turn into Titans, because they already have the strength of one."

"Then what are we fighting for all this time? All of those we lost! Everyone who died! Has it been all for nothing?" Gunther asks.

"Sony and Bean... they are once humans as well..." Hange gasps.

"But being a Titan is not that pleasant unless you're one of the nine. The reason why they have been trying to eat you guys is because of the instinct that they want to become human. Only by eating a Titan Shifter can make them back to normal." Ray says while turning to Ymir, "Right, Ymir?"

Ymir flinches, and Reiner asks, "So I was right, Ymir, you're the one who ate Marcel, right?"

Ymir says, "In my defense, I had no control in that situation."

"Wait, Ymir is also a Titan?" Historia asks in surprise.

Ymir frowns and says, "I was one of the victims that were sent to "Heaven" and turned into a Pure Titan. All of those times I become a Titan were nightmares. You're giving those Titans mercy by killing them."

Everyone feels pity for them, and Erwin says, "I'm glad you're able to share this information with us. Now we know what to expect when we go into the future..."

"If Marley is treating you badly, why did you even listen to them and kill a lot of us?" Jean asks Reiner, Bertolt, and Annie with a glare.

Ray says, "The Eldians on the continent are fed propaganda from the time they're born. They're taught to think that their ancestors were evil and that they must atone for the sins of the past, and they are brought up believing that we, the islanders, are filthy devils. I'm guessing Reiner, Annie, and Bertolt believed these lies, which is why they became soldiers, and why they were selected to inherit the Titan powers under Marley's control. And even if during their time here they realized that those beliefs were wrong, they still had no choice but to complete their mission, as it was their only way back home."

Everyone feels pity for them, Eren says, "But that doesn't mean we could forgive you for what you've done. My Mom was killed because of you guys..."

"We know." Reiner says. "And we're sorry..."

"However there is also one thing that I want to mention. And that is related to Eren." Ray says.

"Me? What do you mean?" Eren asks.

"Eren is not only the Attack Titan. But he is also the Founding Titan." Ray says.

This causes everyone to jump in shock. "Hold on, you can have two of the nine in one person?" Hange asks.

"That means Eren could've controlled the Titans and even unleashed the Wall Titans to trample the Earth..." Armin says. "You're not going to do that, right?"

"I...I can't. If I can, Marco, Thomas, and the others wouldn't have died..." Eren says with a frown.

Ray says, "And yes, the three of them know this and you tried to bring Eren back to Marley, however, you failed and Eren was saved by the Scouts."

Reiner lowers his head and says, "I see..."

"However, you managed to bring Ymir back to Marley." Ray says, which causes them to flinch. "And she was fed by Marcel's brother, Porco."

This causes everyone to gasp in surprise. Ray says, "But don't worry, this is in the future, and now that we've given you the prequel, I think we should finally begin the watching."

I decide to give a prologue for the story and I hope you like this chapter.
