The next morning was a rough one for them as they were dressed up in gym clothing standing outside near a fountain. Azazel was standing in front of them as he had a clipboard in his hand. "I trust you had a fun time last night but that's over. Training begins today with a focus on the upcoming events while preparing you for the long run. So let's begin, Rias as a pure-blooded devil you already have a high amount of physical abilities along with magical power. Your talent will carry you far but all of that needs to be honed." Azazel peeled off the top sheet of paper and handed it to her. "Outside of study in the family library you will be doing all of that every day."
"This isn't that detailed." She said, looking at the paper.
"You're right it isn't... But you're not at a level where you need an extreme regiment to produce small results. Your main focus is one stuffing knowledge into your brain about everything needed for Rating games." He looked at Akeno "Next is Akeno."
"Yes" She said as she wasn't happy to hear anything that was about to be said.
"You need to accept your blood." Hearing that she frowned as Azazel continued "Your showing with the battle of the Phoenix family was a joke. You should have been able to obliterate his Queen and most of the other combatants as well. But you failed to use your Fallen angel powers and limited yourself to only thunder. Actions like that make you a crutch and a liability when your team needs you the most."
"I can do fine with…."
Azazel cut her off before she could finish. "No, you can't. You stand there thinking you know yourself but as you have already shown, what is needed is not where it should be. You are weak because you have accepted a weakness of what you currently are. You need to overcome that and become a Priestess of Lightning and not thunder."
Akeno was quiet as she didn't have a comeback at all. Her situation was something she needed to resolve on her own.
"Next up Yumi." He didn't wait for the girl to acknowledge him "Your balance breaker duration is quite lacking. So you need to work on getting it to a state where you can maintain it for a day. I can teach you later how to fight against other sword Sacred Gear users. But you are returning to train with Okito, correct?"
"Yes, I plan on relearning everything." Yumi said as Azazel nodded.
"Wait Okito as in Souji Okito? Of the Shinsengumi?" Katase asked after hearing that.
"The same." Issei told her. "Cheating death is a hell of a trick."
"Xenovia needs to be able to better handle Durandal. It would be best if you worked with another blade for a while."
"Another one?" She asked thinking that Durandal was the weapon she needed to train with.
"Yeah." They saw a smile on his face as he said that. "Anyways Gasper!"
"Yesssssss" Gasper squeaked out hearing his name called out as he tried to hide.
"No need to be so nervous. Fear is why you have a hard time controlling your powers. But I have already constructed a program to fix that. It will also hone your basic abilities as you are frail-looking." "Next on the block is Asia."
"I'm ready!" She said looking determined to better herself.
"Your use of Twilight Healing is unmatched, But you are in the same position Gasper is as your stamina and strength are lacking. Your training will consist of increasing those alongside the powers of your gear."
"And how does one improve one of the best healing Sacred gears?" Issei asked as he was genuinely curious about Azazel idea's
"The whole touching thing is a downside." Azazel said as he nodded. "So making it ranged support of some kind is what needs to happen.
"Wait is it possible for her to extend her range?" Rias asked hearing this.
"It is. Other users in the past have done it. Most were never as skilled in recovery rates but had some other spin on it."
"What about the way Asia is? She's far too kind for this world and extending her range would be a double-edged sword." Issei questioned.
"Yes about that, just turn it into an aura." Azazel told him as it clicked.
"So making it similar to Holy Resuscitation without the downside."
"What's that?" Asia asked as she hadn't heard of that gear before.
"Another healing sacred gear but it can do what your cant do with some major downsides." Issei told her.
"You know that gear was once given to an Atheist the irony." Azazel chuckled saying that "For now upgrading your basic abilities and honing your new forms is all you need to focus on."
"Next on the chopping block is Koneko." Azazel said as she wasn't looking too well almost as she was lost in thought. "Your fighting abilities and trait as a rook are great. As it is right now you have the best offensive capability of the group."
"I know." She said as if she seemed down.
"You're going to do basic as well. But just like Akeno your need to accept yourself or you will be lost to mediocrity." Hearing that her body slumped as if everything left her body.
Issei crouched down in front of her as he pushed his index fingers into her cheeks as he moved them back and forth "You can become big and strong in a leap." He told her as he was smiling.
"Don't say it so lightly." Koneko was serious about that but Issei didn't care too much.
"As for the new girls, Katase and Murayama." Azazel took their attention quickly "The two of you are in an interesting place. You know how to swing a blade. But your bodies need honing and your Sacred Gears have much to be unlocked. Your training will consist of heavy physical fitness to refine your body. You will also endure punishment to toughen up as well as to unlock more of your gears."
"When you say punishment…" Murayama asked Azazel not knowing what was to come.
"Surtr is gonna beat the two of you up." Azazel was blunt about it "Expect everything to hurt."
"Ohhhhhh, the fire giant." Issei smiled hearing that "Well you can't hurt him so don't worry about that."
"He's not on fire? Is he?" Katase looked at Issei.
"His hair might as well be." Issei told them.
Azazel was quick to interrupt him "Don't ruin the fun." He opened up some magic circles for each one of the girls. "No time to waste, you have plenty of time to learn." They didn't have much choice as all of them but Rias and Issei went through the circles to their training. Once it was just the three of them Azazel looked at Issei "I need Ascalon."
Issei was quick to summon it and toss it to Azazel. "Xenovia?"
"Xenovia." He answered quickly. "Speaking of the topic of Holy swords, how did you get your hands on Arondight?" Azazel was curious about that subject as to who the last possessor was.
"Oh, I took it from uh what was his name again… Sata Port?" Issei summoned the black longsword and held it.
"Satanel… I take it you interfered with the Abyss Team then?" Azazel asked him.
"I don't know what that is. I just wanted the sword."
Rias was dumbstruck by an answer like that "Wait, you took a sword for a Cadre because you wanted it?"
"Uhh yeah."
Rias looked at him "Do you know what you could have caused?"
Azazel was quick to stop her "Satanel betrayed Grigori a few years ago and went rogue. He wanted to make sacred gears reach a point where they could slay gods. But go inside and start your studies on your powers."
As Rias left them Azazel looked at Issei "I looked at your plan last night. Do you think it will work?"
"I don't see why not. If everything goes right it should even itself out."
"Okay then, I'll take it to Sirzechs and we can get started on it." Azazel got ready to leave "Are you planning on going to the dragon mountain?"
"Maybe Maybe not. If I do, everybody and their mother is going to want to fight me or suck up. So it might be better to stay away."
Azazel chuckled hearing that. "So be it." He said as he disappeared leaving Issei alone.
It took a little bit, but Issei eventually found the library room in the Gremory estate and found a few books already piled up waiting for Rias. So as he waited he turned into his small dragon form and sat on the table and waited for Rias to return. When she came back with a few more books she saw him sitting there. "Realy?" She asked as he didn't say anything and with his tail, he pointed at the large chair. "Fine" She knew what was going to happen as she took a seat and picked up a book. Issei made his way over to her hopped down and took a spot and laid on her lap.
The thing was he didn't say or move only sat there as it gave him something to do while he waited for something to happen. Well fortunately that came before lunch as the doors to the library opened up and they saw Venelana standing there in a black dress. "Mother?" Rias asked
"I'm going to need your lap cat." Venelana said as she reached down picking him up.

"Sorry lap dragon. Is that better?" She asked as she took him out of the library and into another room.
When they entered there was a couch and a table with some things laid out on it. Seeing that he jumped out of her arms as he transformed back into his human form and sat down on the couch next to Venelana. "So where does this start?" He asked her.
"Well now that we are alone… what do you remember?" She asked him trying to probe more into his past.
"Aside from showing me that photo, it's clear that one of my parents had connections to the Gremory family."
"That's all you know?" She asked making sure.
"I barely can remember a girl who I played with every day for years before she left. Thinking of the past is foggy at best, and I don't have much from that time anymore."

She shrugged at his question "I wish I could tell you more. But we don't know much of what happened the wounds of the bodies we were able to see made it look as if it was a home invasion and stabbing."
"Azazel has told me little to nothing on what happened. Kokabiel knew nothing of it as Azazel tortured him."
She picked up a paper and handed it to him. "After your mother gave birth and I saw you for the first time it was easy to pick out that you had a sacred gear. "So be it." He said as he stood up. "While this was insightful to an extent, there are many more questions that need to be answered. But I have something that you can help me with." He held his hand out as a black and red book that looked as if it was sealed shut. "Since you know so much about family then maybe you can get this open."
He tossed the book at her as she caught it. Quickly looking it over she knew exactly what the book was and why it would even be locked. "You are aware of what this is right?"
"After the last few days, you've narrowed down what exactly the book is. But it's still a locked book for all I know it could hold the master vinyl record of the Beatles."
He started to walk away as she had one final question for him. "And what do you plan on doing?"
"I don't know" He shrugged his shoulders "Might go plant an enchanted sword in a cave of wonders."
She thought about that one for a moment "If you weren't mostly a dragon that could mean something else."
He pushed the door opened "Who knows it might be Serafall's" Issei said leaving her there as there was some laughter from behind the door.
Days passed as it was lunchtime as Azazel and Issei were sitting down eating and discussing the events of training so far. "And Xenovia is progressing along in her reeducation of the sword style."
"That's code for she's learning how to swing Durandal around."
"Don't be so harsh." Azazel fired back at him "She understands the weapon but everything needs refinement. How has Rias training been going."
Issei shrugged his shoulders "Mostly reading and plenty of physical training."
"Let's focus on something else for a moment." Azazel said wanting to shift the conversation along. "What do you think of Akeno?"

"I'm not asking about that." Azazel wanted another answer.

Azazel knew he was right "You are correct, but considering the subject matter is my best friend's estranged daughter. I'm going to have to entrust her to you." Issei raised an eyebrow at that "The fact that you get along with almost everyone and don't discriminate is something this world needs more of. You can deal with Akeno, Koneko is another story." Azazel said as he got up from the table.
"What happened now?" Issei asked as he figured something happened since he left.
"Accident with training. Head on back… oh and you've been given a job." Azazel pulled out an envelope and handed it to Issei. "Read it later."
"A job?" Issei asked as Azazel left with haste as if he had somewhere else to be with haste. "What kind of crap is this." He said to himself as he paid for his lunch and made his way back to the mansion while reading his letter.
As he made his way back to the mansion he found out where everyone was and that happened to be in Koneko's room. When he opened the door he saw all the girls standing around the bed.

"This is something only we can do. We will do things that only we can do." Akeno reassured him. And that was enough for him at this time for him to hear. Because if they failed he would have to deal with it.
Issei left the room leaving all of them to deal with a problem of acceptance. But he had an idea as he walked down the large sprawling hallways of the Gremory mansion. He crafted a magic circle for communication and waited for the other side to pick up. "Hey Tannin I need a favor."
"A favor you say?" Issei heard through the magic circle. "I know you in the underworld so come to the Mountian and we can talk."
"Very well then." Issei said as he knew the location all too well as it was a short teleport from where he was to the mountain.
When he landed on the other side he was on a massive grey rocky plateau that overlooked a river and some massive mountain range. In the distance was a massive reddish-purple dragon coming towards him. Issei jumped up into the air grabbing onto the Dragon as he turned back towards the mountain. "Good timing." Tannin told him as Issei climbed up towards his head.
"What can I say. About that favor, The devils are having a get-together a few days before the first match. And after the training, the girls have been through I figured they could be the center of attention when they arrived at the party. Think you can help with that?" Issei asked as they were nearing the mountain as the temperature was dropping from the altitude.
"I know just the thing. But I will cost you."
Issei laughed hearing that one from Tannin of all people "Charging me? What do you want?"
"That's the Spirit! Some of my residents are looking to fight strong people if you catch my drift."
"You Dragons and your want to fight everything that moves. I may be more dragon than human now but I don't exactly understand that urge. But I can help with that."
"That's good to hear, they could use to let off some steam." Tannin swooped down into a crevice and landed. His landing was far from quiet as heads poked out of holes in the mountain as there were plenty of dragons peering out to see what was happening.
Issei looked around seeing all types of Dragons looked at them. "So who wanted to get their ass beat?"
This got the attention of all the dragons as many of them started to gather around as it was a sea of colors. "Is this the person Tannin?" There was a voice that came out from the crowd.
"Yes."
Hearing Tannin's answer there was some murmuring from the crowd. "If that is the case I'll test it."
Issei looked around as a large black and purple dragon came out from the crowd as he towered over him as was the same for Tannin. He turned his head and looked at Tannin "So uh who is this gecko?"
"That is my third son Bova."
"I am no Gecko!" The now-named dragon shouted as he punched at Issei.
Issei held his arm up and stopped Bova's fist "Oh that's right you have kids. I always forget about that."
There was some murmuring amongst the spectators. "He's not much older than you are."
"You know age doesn't matter too much. It's not like your telling me he's the next you." Issei could feel Bova's fist grinding in Issei's hand as he tried to push harder down. "I feel like I just pushed a button."
There was some laughter from Tannin and the group around him "Just a bit." Tannin said, "Bova is… how would you put it… a delinquent who is looking for a fight."

Everyone below watched as the two of them duked it out as there was a roar of the crowd. "Sir?" One of the dragons looked up to Tannin as they watched. "Your son is at a massive disadvantage."
"Yes, he is."
"And yet you…" There was a pause for a moment "Is that who I think it is then?"
"Maybe who knows." There was a loud sound of rocks falling they watched as Bova climbed out of the hole. "Show them!" Tannin shouted at Issei as Bova flew back up in the air.
"Fine but now you're doing that now." Issei was dogging Bova strikes. He made some distance between the two of them as the Boosted Gear appeared on his hand [WELSH DRAGON BALANCE BREAKER!] Ddraig's voice echoed all through the mountain as there was a shining red-figure floating in the air.
The Dragons watched on in awe as one of the Heavenly Dragons had graced their home. But it didn't last long there was another shockwave that rocked the area as Issei was holding onto Bova as he descended back down to the ground and laid Bova on the floor. Tannin looked down at his son "I trust you have learned something from this?"
"I would hope it would be not to pick random fights with people as you never know what you're going to get." Issei told him as the armor dissipated.
"Let's hope, Bova likes to pick fights with people to test his strength."
Issei had a laugh hearing that "You dragons amuse me. Ddraig always wanted me to do the same thing, but I used a sliver of my brain when it came to that."
"How did you get so strong?" Bova asked as he sat up.
"Situps, pushups, dragon spirit in my head, fighting archangels. You know the simple things."
Bova was amazing hearing that "I can't tell how much of what you said was the truth."
He shrugged his shoulders "Who knows, just don't go after the archangels part that's not that smart of an idea." Issei felt a vibration in his pocket as his phone went off as he read it and saw the attached picture. "Hey uh…" Issei shoved the phone in his pocket "I uh gotta go."
"Let me guess it was because of that?" Tannin asked.
"Yeah… let's put it that way." The Red logo of Ddraig appeared under him "Sometimes you need other things and fighting isn't always that fun… unless it's… you know what I'll leave it there. I gotta deal with this before it turns into something else and the Leviathan kills me." And with that, he disappeared in a flash of light leaving the resides of dragon mountain in awe that the Host of Ddraig graced their presence.
Tannin looked down at Bova "I trust you have learned a lesson today?"
When Issei arrived on the other side of the teleport he was in a lavish room filled with everything that one could need and then some. "You took your time." Issei heard as he snapped his head to the voice as laying down on a massive bed he saw Serafall who was looking at a massive tv.
