Chapter 2
School
The evening following the release of Ddraig was awkward, to say the least, the 5ft 11 girl was taken back to Greed's house and introduced to his parents as Gwen, his girlfriend from the country of Wales. His parents were overwhelmed by different emotions until Greed told them that Gwen had been forcibly brought to Japan by her grandma who then enrolled her in his school before leaving again for Wales.
With nowhere left to turn, she asked Greed to stay with
him and his family, with a 'little' help from hypnotic magic, both parents readily agreed to her staying with them. Greed simply smiled and lead the confused Dragon to his bedroom.
On the morning of the following day, Ddraig's Pov
'I'm really confused, the last day was a mess if I put it simply, a huge fucking mess. I have been freed from my eternal prison but bound to some sort of Devil for the rest of time? I mean why the fuck did I take that chess piece? I should have just accepted Death and been reborn once again, I'm now shackled to someone I don't know, I don't know his plans or intentions. Honestly, for the first time in my life, I'm a little scared.'
Ddraig then slowly moved out from the bed she was 'sleeping' in, her instincts told her to not fully switch off as the man beside her was an unknown entity, due to this she barely slept. Walking into the bathroom, she was startled by her new appearance.
Staring back at the girl wasn't the scales she was used to seeing, no large wings or razor-sharp teeth, her long red hair flowed behind her, her crimson eyes darted around her body, clenching her fist, she saw her dark skin be instantly replaced by crimson scales, she smiled at herself, noting he had not taken her powers away from her.
As she smiled, she, began to wash her face, taking the refreshing feeling of being able to interact with the world once more.
Greed's Pov
'Huh, I slept a lot better in this bed with a Dragon than in a tiny empty cell, who would have figured that one out? Speaking of the Dragon, I wonder where she went?'
As Greed silently moved through the house, he found the girl standing before a mirror, happily humming to herself as she washed her face.
"Good morning, Gwen, you seem happy today."
Startled the Dragon turned to look at the Demon standing, she snarled "Stay where you are, what do you plan to do to me? This world?"
'I see, I'm some sort of horrifying presence to her, I mean that is how it should be, I'm the second sin, mankind's greatest flaw after all. Well, Pride and Greed go hand in hand but I will never tell Pride that, I mean his head is already as far up his arse as it can go...'
"Oops, my mind went on a tangent again, reminiscing about my dear brother, I hate him so much, anyways my plan? I plan to get everything I want from this world and then burn it to the ground, move on to the next one and repeat. I mean I have been doing this since the start of time and my time in prison has only increased my desires, I'm itching to start however do you know the issue with my time in prison?"
'He has a brother? I can't get a read on him at all, I can tell he is both lying and telling me the truth. What have I signed up for? Oh, yeah nothing.'
"What is the issue?"
"I nearly died to the first Devil I met here; you know how embarrassing that is? If she had the slightest bit of combat experience or could read auras like a normal Devil, she would have found I had no power. The Issue with my time in Prison is that I lost over a million years' worth of power, I mean a MILLION years wasted, now I get stuck in a world where half the beings here have no power for me to steal and those that do can kick my ass."
'I mean not strictly true, I have Holy magic, control over fire and some other basic shit but I can't sense the power of the beings in the other realms connected to this one, I bet they will kill me so fucking quick...'
"So right now? I plan to find strays and eat them alive, take their powers and grow enough to challenge the three factions here, then eat them and then move on. Maybe collect a few rare items and gain the love and loyalty of some women too. The main thing I crave is power, love and money are strong desires of mine however power overrides them. I can't explain why and why I'm even telling you this, seems like an info dump at the start of a novel..."
Ddraig's Pov
'Again, I can't tell if he was lying or not. I mean no matter what he does, he now has control over my life, I'm glad to have a small look into his mind however that Gas, is nowhere near as weak as he claims, I do not know what it is or where it came from but it scared the very living shit out of me.'
Ddraig shuddered as she thought of her hand disappearing again, the man in front of her then cupped her cheek, moving her hair out of her face, he stared into her eyes and said: " I do however promise that I will not put you in unnecessary danger."
'I can feel my cheeks blush when he says that, why does it sound soothing to me? I know he could be lying but I can't calm down.'
"Anyway, Gwen it's time for school, let's go, don't want to be late on your first day after all."
The walk to school was awkward as hell for Greed, the people around him as he entered the building were wondering who the girl was with him or why she was with the biggest pervert in the school in the first place. Since leaving the house many a boy has tried to pry Gwen away from Greed, telling her all of his previous deeds, including spying on the girls as they change.
Knowing that the boy that they were talking about is long dead, replaced by something her instincts told her to fear, Gwen calmly explained that she and Greed are friends and that she was staying at his house, which had the opposite effect, driving the boys into a stupor then anger.
Turning to Greed, the biggest of the boys grabbed him by the scruff of his shirt and snarled" Is what she said true? Have you already corrupted her bast-"
*Crack*
Before he could even finish speaking, Greed headbutted him with as strong as he could, breaking the boy's rather large nose, and falling to the ground, the boy looked up, what he saw scared him shitless, the timid punching bag had gone, looking at him was the face of Death, cold indifference.
Grabbing him by the hair, Greed lifted him once more before slamming his knee into the guy's stomach, leaving him a bloody and gasping mess on the floor. Looking around, Greed simply asked "Anyone else got an issue with me? Or can I take the new student to the faculty room?"
Seeing that everyone looked away as he made eye contact, he looked down at the boy once more, kneeling he whispered" You might want to pick on someone else from now on, I will kill you next time, normal student or not."
"Gwen we are running late."
The girl nodded her head and ran after Greed as he disappeared up the stairs.
Sona's Pov
"Sona. you need to head to the infirmary immediately, there have been reports of a fight breaking out between Issei and "
Rubbing my head, I looked up at the girl who had just burst into the student council room
"I know, you need to make sure Issei is ok and move him to the infirmary, I will talk with "
The girl in front of me waved her hands and spoke
" Randal has lost the fight, he is beaten badly, by the looks of things, his nose was broken and maybe a rib or two. "
I paused for what seemed like an eternity to me,
'Issei won? Did he beat a low-ranked Devil while being a normal Human? Did he unlock his sacred Gear? Even so, his body is extremely weak, if you multiply 0 you still get 0 in the end.'
"You go to the infirmary and make sure he is ok, I will track down Issei, something feels off about this entire situation."
Gwen's Pov
"Hello, my name is Gwen, I have recently moved to Japan from my home country of Wales, my hobbies include martial arts and sports."
The teacher smiled at me, turning to the class she asked" Has anyone got any questions for Gwen?"
A girl's hand shot straight up as she asked" Is it true that you and Issei are living together?"
I nodded my head and said," His family took me in when my grandmother left me in this town with nothing but a bit of money to my name."
'A couple of the girls looked at Greed, he has been almost silent since the fight this morning, he occasionally makes eye contact with me and slightly smiles before going back to his thoughts, honestly. I still don't know what to make of him.'
The same Girl followed up with" Are the two of you dating?"
And those simple words made my mind stop working,
'I mean we live together and he has claimed me however I don't feel mu-'
*Clang*
Greed rose from his chair and walked towards me with long and confident strides before planting a kiss on my cheek, turning to the crowd he smiled and said:" Yes we are, if we have no more questions can we please carry on with the class?"
He then leads me to the back of the class, moving out the chair for the desk next to him, I sat on it and thanked him.
Things were going well until
Greed's Pov
A small woman with a weird-looking bob cut and Glass came barrelling through the doors of the classroom as I was being a gentleman, I mean Ddraig is new to this stuff, got to ease her into the whole spending eternity together thing ...
"Issei goes to the student council room now, I want you to explain to me what happened this morning, I will not take no as an answer."
She might be able to hide that demonic Aura from others but I can feel it, this is going to be fun...
Before we go any further with the story, I want to let some things be known, I have planned the opening arc for the story and Dxd will only be a short part of the opening before we take a break from it to return to it later, the plot kind of demands a small break as the story will go down a heavy AU route. As stated the Mc is a Villian and will conduct acts that many people will disagree with but they align themselves well with the Mc and will be carried out.
A lot of Fan fics disregard Rias or use her as a crutch for the MC, this will not be the case here, Rias for the intents and purposes of this story will be the Heroine, the destroyer of Evil... Or will she?
