Demons are different to Devils

Greed's Pov

"I see, this is about the altercation this morning? In that case, please lead the way. Gwen, I will be back soon, don't let our classmates swarm you with annoying questions. Remember we are here to have fun."

Gwen nodded her head and I walked towards the front of the classroom and turned to my teacher, winking at her, I smirked.

"Make sure they treat her right, they do and I will treat you right too."

Before anyone could react left the room, waiting for the now super pissed midget to take me to the interrogation room. I mean the student council president's room.

As we were walking I could see students giving me a look of sympathy, little did they know that I'm a wolf in sheep's clothing, I don't like to hide, I know right now a strong Devil could blink at me and I could die but so what? The worst thing that will happen is I will those my new body, my mind always survives, as long as men are Greedy then I will exist and in countless Multiverses, greedy men thrive. It is a weird sort of immortality, I lose my skills that are not tied to my being, which was everything but Endless Hunger.

I would rather not have to start again but being lowkey sucks so bad, I want MONEY and POWER now not in 5 years, not in a month, right this very second, I want it all. You could say I'm an addict and that would be accurate, I love the fact I have the time to monologue to myself-"

"We are here"

I turn towards the girl in front of me, pointing to the door

"Ladies first."

'Didn't even get to finish the monologue-'

The girl scowled at me, using some of her Devil power, she grabbed me and threw me into the room. Landing on the floor, I slowly rose to my feet, I hate Pride but I am a very prideful man myself, getting thrown around by a teenager is a no-go, not in this world or the fucking next one.

Sona's Pov

"Apologise."

Issei said to me as he slowly got up from the floor, I could see in his eye's something had changed, his demeanour is gone, and his mask was removed.

"I will not apologise to you, tell me what you did to Randal, there is no way a normal human could-"

'I can feel it, the temperature is falling rapidly, what is this? that look in his eyes, he's going to kill me, isn't he? I need to get out of here. My legs, there not moving, oh dear god what the hell is going on he is a normal human.'

*Rapid Gasping*

'I can't breathe, help me, I can't inhale, his eyes, so green, so cold, help me, someone, help me.'

*thump thump*

'I can feel my heart slowly stopping, this is how I die, at the hands of some unknown entity, I never got to realise my dream, I hope my sister doesn't attempt to kill this monster.'

'I should close my eyes, accept my death with some dignity.'

General Pov

A magic fluctuation broke Greed's hold over Sona, she fell on the floor unconscious and barely breathing, turning to see the new arrival, the Devil he met last night was standing there with a group of weaker Devils, looking them up and down Greed deemed them not a threat and turned to finish what he started.

"You can't kill her, her sister is extreml-"

Greed turned to look at the red-haired girl and asked" 1 Million Yen, in my hands in the next ten minutes, that or she dies."

"Rias I can take him."

An attractive boy with blond hair said as a sword of considerable strength appeared in his hands.

"Kiba don't, he has access to holy power."

Ignoring her the boy named Kiba launched himself at Greed his sword swinging towards his head, smiling Kiba thought 'This is easy'

Before his blow was easily deflected by Greed's right arm, looking down Kiba saw a now green-coloured sacred gear, a long green blade sticking out of it. (Think Omni-blade ME3)

"Well this is interesting, I seem to be more powerful than I thought, I wonder what is going on, it will be fun to find the limits of my body. "

Waving his arm around, Greed admired his new weapon while he summoned a light spear in his other hand, launching himself at the boy, he jabbed with the holy weapon while leaving his sacred weapon for defence.

Another magic fluctuation made Greed stop in his tracks, the being entering the fray now was much more powerful than himself, the test he desired was coming.

Greed smiled to himself, quickly deciding to disarm Kiba, feinting with his holy weapon, he threw it at the boy's chest, while he easily blocked it, Greed followed up the strike with his sacred gear, piercing the Boy's chest, blood quickly flowed out of his chest until the sacred gear flashed green and the blood vanished, the body began to vanish quickly, Greed smiled to himself, his Gas had become both colourless and odourless.

"Kiba!"

Rais broke down, her demonic power grew rapidly as she launched spell after spell at Greed, Greed easily blocked most of the spells, those that did hit him barely left a scratch on him, his high endurance repelling them with ease.

Akeno panicked looking down at the magic circle that was taking forever to complete, she noticed that every time it was about to, a bit of the power required would vanish into thin air, looking at Greed in horror, she backed away.

"Rias we need to leave now. We will die if we do not, he is stopping the magic circle from completing, we need to go."

Rais unable to hear her prepared for the speciality of her family, the destruction powered by her sudden surge in power was enough to level the entire school, killing everyone in it. Greed walked slowly towards her whispering.

*Absorbed Sword Birth, gained passive skill: Master swordsman.*

"If you hadn't run yesterday and killed me then none of this would have happened, you would have saved the life of the boy you held so close. Now he is nothing but an increase of power for me, nothing but a speck of dust, part of my endless power. Don't worry though child, you will join him soon enough."

*Click*

Swords appeared behind the slowly approaching Greed, his eyes staring right at Rias, he continued whispering.

"He died because you couldn't control the members of your team, as a leader you were weak, a puppet for someone stronger. I assume that is the person desperately trying to get in through that magic circle as well as the 6 others that are appearing around the school. Your brother perhaps? Father maybe? It matters not, I'm very hungry, I passed up on the dragon because I need at least one powerful follower, you have potential but I don't have the time to babysit you."

Greed turned, walking away from Rias as she released her spell, the power of it began to instantly destroy the room they were standing in, chairs, and tables are gone, Akeno and Koneko jumped out of the window to the building as Rias fired, a giant wall of swords appeared in front of Greed at the last second, deflecting a large amount of the damage however the shockwaves still rattled his body, breaking a few ribs.

Ignoring his pain, the sword wall resurfaced as the magic circle completed, looking at the comatose Devil next to him, Greed whispered.

"You should not have made me remove my mask, these deaths are both of our hands, you will fuel my escape little Devil, better luck in your next life."

*Gained Master Water Manipulation, extracted a King piece.*

?'s Pov

"WHY THE HELL WON'T THE CIRCLE CONNECT, SONA IS IN DANGER."

'I have never seen Serafall act this way, why does she thin-'

A devil appeared in front of me both answering my questions and causing my fear to grow.

"Reporting, an unknown hostile force has seized control of the school in Kuoh, Sona Stiri seems to be in critical condition, one of Rias' Peerage is dead, what are your orders?"

I involuntarily slammed my hand into my seat snarling "Engage them, kill them at all costs, protect my sister, is that understood? Neither she nor Sona ca-"

"Sirzechs-Sama, he seems to have stolen the sacred gear from Kiba, the swords, they are aiming at Rias, I'm engaging hi"

*Booom*

Panicked by the explosion I screamed

"What was that report in!"

"Rias released her power, and her nearby peerage members have escaped however She is pinned to the wall by swords, the man she was fighting is hidden behind a wall made out of swords, you need to get here now Sirzechs-Sama."

For fucks sake, I will not allow her to get hurt. I need to force my magic power through the circle Serafall is using to force a connection.'

The circle flashed and we appeared in a nearly destroyed student council room, my sister hung from the room with a towards pinning her to the wall, and a boy around the age of 16 sat in the centre of the room, looking at me, he smiled and said:" My name is Greed and everything you hold dear will be mine."

Greed's Pov

"Such powerful auras, I have introduced myself, why don't the two off yo-"

'Giant tentacles swarmed out of the girl dressed as an anime character? I mean she is so powerful, why is she dressed like a child? Not very intimidating, although those tentacles are, makes me think of something rather dirty. Something my sister would enjoy a lot, Lust is weird like that.'

Greed began to dodge them as they tried to grip him, the speed of them getting faster and faster until the demon was caught, hanging upside down in front of the pair of Devils, he smiled.

"So are we going to forget that I will kill the red-headed girl before you can crush the soul out of me? I mean a simple thought and"

One of the swords near Rias began to slight dig into her throat, leaving her screaming in pain.

"You both lose someone important. I'm sure that is fine with you magical girl wannabe but what about you mister noble? Want her to die?"

'Ohh, I can feel his power surge, look at that, makes me remember fighting with Wrath, the pure rage in him is almost respectable, if I couldn't sense Wrath, I would guess he was in this body. I mean the adrenaline that is coursing through me is amazing, I love it so much.'

'A simple punch was the answer from the man, a punch that destroyed the tentacles holding me down before flinging me into the wall, such strength? I can't wait to have it to myself. I mean, I could go around tapping people with my fists and causing them to die... Getting sidetracked again, back to the point at hand.'

Pulling himself out of the hole in the wall, Greed stood up and sat back in the chair he was in when the two first appeared, bending down, he picked up a small crystal that appeared from nowhere.

Looking at the magical girl he remarked" This is what remains of your sister, I can bring her back but there will be costs involved, costs I doubt you will be willing to pay."

"Name them" The girl snarled in response.

"Well firstly, she will be bound to me, you see little Devils, I can't die, I mean my body can but my soul? Can't. That means, if she is bound to me she will be immortal however if she is disloyal then it vanishes. Any questions?"

"What do you mean-"

The man began to speak before I continued.

"Secondly, she will have to follow my commands indefinitely, even if I tell her to kill you. Her mind will attempt to stop her body but it can't. Thirdly I want 300 million yen, you have 5 minutes to get it after the deal is agreed."

'The girl simply stared at me, if looks could kill, I would be just like her sister... Wow, that was a low blow, even for a rude thought. Anyways it seems like mister noble is trying to figure out a way to save that girl without her dying, I need to maximise my profits or I will die before I can even touch that money, I forgot how easy it is to make deals with Devils.'

"So mister noble while Magical girl decides her sister's fate how about we discuss the girl over there? I can tell you want to break her out with your overwhelming strength but you are scared my thoughts will be faster killing her. So about I offer you a deal as well? 150 million Yen and she can walk out of here as if nothing happened, hell I promise to skip town as well, keep this little castle for your princess, I have things I need to do elsewhere anyway."

The man broke out into laughter as he glared at me,

"Do you know who you are threatening? The Devil race as a whole will not take this lightly, you will make enemies that will hunt you to the ends of the Earth."

"You see you are right however half of your race hates the other half right? Some civil war or something, you see I also get the memories of the people I eat, so I know that if I were to escape here and ally with your enemies you would have a hard time. I also know you are pushing for peace but what happens if a Devil under your flag goes around killing all the Angels and Fallen angels he can find, what then?"

The man stopped laughing and said, " You are not under my banner."

'My turn to laugh'

"That girl there on the wall resurrected me as her pawn, I rejected the piece but I should still be recognised as such by other devils. So, what now? We fight or I get my money?"

"How are you so sure that you will survive? There are two of us and we are both significantly stronger than you, both in physical and magical means."

I pointed to the door and said" Appear."

A magical circle broke through the magical barrier and a cute girl with red hair appeared next to me, "Meet Gwen, a Heavenly Dragon."
