Later that day

"Hmph, Fluss may think she's immovable

But I am the true immovable object

I am the ground, the rock, and the mountain

I am the Master of Earth"

-Saxum Arc "The ways of the Spinjitzu Master."

Month One

Jaune was ecstatic. His dad said he could train and gave him the rest of the scrolls. Jaune could learn more about the Balance and become a true ninja, a Spinjitzu Master. He was so excited he was bouncing on his heels, waiting for his father to return with the rest of the scrolls so he could just read all of them.

"What's got you so excited?" Bordeaux questions.

"Dad said I could train!" Jaune replies excitedly.

"Dad's going to train you now?" Bordeaux asks with a raised eyebrow.

"No, he just said I could train, and he wouldn't do anything about it," Jaune corrects her.

"Well, I hope you do well," Bordeaux says with a heartfelt smile. Leaving Jaune to celebrate alone.

"Jaune, I've got the scrolls here!" John yells out in the hallway.

"Coming, dad!" Jaune responds, walking out into the hallway.

Jaune stepped out of his room and found his dad holding two boxes of scrolls, setting them down. Shocking Jaune, he knew there were enough scrolls for one box, but now Jaune was even more excited.

"Here, the first of them, there's another one still in the attic," John told Jaune, getting up and rubbing his back. What? The attic is hot and cramped, and he had to carry two boxes. Don't judge him.

"Awesome!" Jaune exclaims, looking over all of the scrolls.

"I know you're excited but remember you only have a year, and you need to make the most of it," John told Jaune, trying to quell his son's excitement.

"I know, but these scrolls have the combined knowledge of many past generations, and I want to know all of it," Jaune says, grabbing one of the boxes and taking it into his room.

"I understand the information in the scrolls might be exciting, but I want you to understand a year isn't a long time and training takes a long time to become strong," John tells Jaune helping bring the second box into Jaune's room.

"I know, but you're forgetting I've already had some physical training," Jaune reminded his father.

"Jaune, a few months of sneaking into the armory and struggling to lift weights is not training," John told his son with a deadpan look.

"It totally is. I got stronger," Jaune retorted.

"Going from struggling to lift 10 pounds to struggling to lift 20 pounds isn't much in the amount of time it took you," John rebutted, still maintaining his deadpan expression.

"I was only training a bit in those months, and it wasn't just strength training. Now that I can focus on just training-"

"And your schoolwork!" Arturia yells out, overhearing the conversation.

"A-and my schoolwork, I'll be able to progress even further," Jaune says with a look of determination that's offset by the sheepish expression caused by his mother's reminder.

"That's the determination of an Arc, but remember, you still have to meet my expectations, and you know what happens if you don't meet my expectations," John reminds Jaune, still a bit proud of him and his determination showed.

"I know, and that's why I'll surpass those expectations," Jaune tells him.

"Good, you'll need that determination. I'll be back with the rest of the scrolls," John tells Jaune, leaving the room.

Jaune looks at the scrolls and reads them well, the ones he can read. He finds "Creatures and Beings of Spinjitzu," raising an eyebrow. He grabs it. And takes a deep breath preparing for the process. Open the scroll only to be surprised when the process doesn't happen.

'Huh, I guess only some scrolls do the process,' Jaune thought, reading over the scroll.

"The Bingers of Doom the Oni," Jaune reads, staring at the diagram on the scroll. They seemed human but Grimm at the same time. The scroll warned about their ability to shapeshift and wield Destruction. They were the only beings that could naturally counter Spinjitzu.

'Whoa, they sound dangerous,' Jaune thought, but the scroll said that the Oni were from the first realm and could not travel to the other realms. 'That's good. I wouldn't want to fight that,' Jaune thought.

Jaune closed the scroll and put it away, thinking it couldn't help his training. Looking at the other scrolls, he found one he thought would be perfect. "The First Steps of Spinjitzu," Jaune read in excitement.

"Alright, Jaune, this is the last of the scrolls," John said, putting the box down.

"Thanks, dad! Now I need to start preparing for my training!" Jaune exclaims, pointing a finger to the sky dramatically.

"Good luck, son. I know you'll need it," John says, ruffling Jaune's hair and leaving the room so that Jaune can have some peace and quiet.

'Alright, this scroll might show me the process,' Jaune thinks while preparing himself. Opening the scroll, he starts reading, and the process starts just like the first scroll. The first step toward Balance and even more knowledge on Spinjitzu. He learns that Spinjitzu needs Balance because it allows a person to access internal energy that can be used to strengthen a person's body and then surround themselves and create a tornado of energy. Spinjitzu. The images show people and the work needed to learn how to access the beginnings of The Balance. How versatile Spinjitzu is and how it can be incorporated into different fighting styles.

"Jaune, lunch is ready!" Arturia calls out from the dining room.

"Coming!" Jaune responds, putting the scroll away.

Jaune goes down and eats lunch. His sisters ask about Jaune's new training regimen. He tells them that he'll start with more physical training before he starts to find a fighting style for him. They joke while eating, and when they're done, Jaune excuses himself and returns to his room, grabbing the scrolls and heading for the armory.

"So, what are you going to start with?" John asks his son, wanting more specifics about his training regimen.

"Well, I'm going to work on stamina and endurance, then muscle, and finally incorporate that into a fighting style," Jaune responds, grabbing some training weights and putting them onto his legs and arms.

"Well, that's more than I expected," John tells him.

"Dad, I've been planning this for about a year," Jaune tells him with a deadpan expression.

"Well, alrighty, then I'll leave you to it," John says, exiting the room.

"Alright, let's do this," Jaune says, psyching himself up.

For the rest of that month, Jaune would wear leg and arm weights while jogging around his house and doing other exercises, increasing the weights when he felt necessary. Jaune would push himself and often ignored his sisters during this, but he would make up for it when he could.

Month Two

When the month began, Jaune had to keep up with his schoolwork with the help of Azur after he bribed her. Jaune was able to keep a good enough average to continue his training. Jaune still wore the training weights, weighing about 20 pounds each, and continued his jogging and exercises.

Jaune had picked a sword style for himself, a simple single sword style using s training arming sword for his training. He would practice the stances he saw in some of the scrolls.

"So why did you ask me to help you make an obstacle course?" Olive asked, standing next to Azur.

"Yes, I understand myself to help by ensuring it won't collapse, but why ask Olive for help?" Azur asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Because Olive is one of the strongest, I would have asked Borde, but she's at college. Saph is on a date. Lap and Laz would goof off, and Mag would get too frustrated and break something," Jaune tells them, explaining his reasoning.

"That actually makes sense," Olive concedes.

"All great reasons, brother, but why not ask father or mother?" Azur asked.

"Mom's busy working, and dad said that as part of the deal, he wouldn't help me," Jaune told them.

"Oh yeah, the deal you and dad made, you know we don't have the full details mind sharing," Olive asked.

"Yes, I too would like to know the details behind the deal made between you and father," Azur asked, pushing her glasses up.

"Later, but now we need to make the course," Jaune said, bringing out blueprints for the course idea.

"Huh, how long have you been holding onto this for?" Olive asked, looking at the very detailed blueprint.

"Yes, the detailing in this blueprint is more than I'd expect from you, brother," Azur said, delivering the backhanded compliment, knowing it would fly over Jaune's head.

"Thanks, but I've been working on this for about a year. I started a few weeks after I first found the hidden room in the library," Jaune tells them, rubbing the back of his head, not noticing Azur's backhanded compliment.

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get to building!" Olive yelled, rushing off to start.

"Wait, Olive. We don't even have the materials yet!" Jaune yelled, chasing after her.

"I should've seen that coming," Azur said, facepalming.

The three would begin by getting the materials Jaune bought with his allowance, which he's been saving up for a year. Then they picked a spot in the land behind their house they could use and started building. It took a while to finish the beginning portion. Some of the other members of the family found out about the course and offered help. They had to stop after they ran out of materials, and Jaune didn't have any money left to buy anymore, but they still got through about one-third of the course.

Month Three

Jaune had still used the finished course parts and did everything he could to balance his time with school, training, family, and chores for more money and supplies. Today, however, he had been forced to take a break and join Saphron for a day in the town shopping center. He had a backpack full of books and a few scrolls he could sit down and read in a quiet place in the center.

*Sniff sniff* 'What's that smell?' Jaune thought, sniffing the air. He followed the smell as best he could and came to a shop he hadn't seen before.

"Mystake's Tea Shop," Jaune read aloud, looking around the area. The shop was lifted off the ground with wheels, and the outside had four tables with umbrellas.

"So, kid, what'll it be?" A voice called out to Jaune.

"Aaa!" Jaune yelped in surprise.

"Hehehe, I love that reaction," the voice called out.

"Who are you!?" Jaune asked, still a bit jumpy.

"I'm the owner, and you're a customer. Now, what'll it be," the voice said.

"I meant your name," Jaune said with a deadpan expression.

"Ohh, why didn't you say the name Mystake. now, what'll it be?" Mystake asked again.

"Well, Mystake, I'd like something to help me focus," Jaune told her.

"Huh, working on something, are we. Well, let me look around," Mystake said, looking in the back for something to help Jaune.

Jaune sat down at one of the tables and took out one of the scrolls focused on single sword styles that can have Spinjitzu integrated into the style.

"Here you go, one 'Focutivitea,'" Mystake announced, placing a cup of tea and a teapot with some other addons to the side in front of Jaune.

"Tha… I just realized I don't have any money," Jaune said, looking down.

"Ha, don't worry, sonny first drinks free," Mystake assured him.

"Thanks," Jaune said with a genuine smile. Spending the rest of the day at the tea shop before heading home.

Jaune spent the rest of the month training, spending time with his family, and going to Mystake's tea shop as a place of relaxation.

Month Four

This month was more of the same. The training weights were increased to 35 pounds each. The course was now halfway done, and Jaune still managed to stay in a good spot in his school work. The training course was half done, and he was still going to Mystake's shop when he could.

"Jaune, we're going out on a small outing. Well, be back," Arturia calls out.

"Ok," Jaune responded, reading one of his scrolls and going to the course. 'Alright, Jaune, remember to jump up, kick back, whip around and spin!' Jaune thought while rushing through the course in hopes of achieving Spinjitzu. "Failed," Jaune says after not achieving Spinjitzu.

Jaune returned to reading the scrolls for more clues on unlocking his Spinjitzu. He only found the same saying over and over again. "Spinjitzu is inside each and every one of you but will only be unlocked once the key is found." 'What does that even mean,' Jaune thought to himself.

Jaune decided that he needed to try and understand some of the elder scrolls and books. Grabbing one of the scrolls that he confidently thought was the oldest, he opened it. The words, if they can be called that, it read "Η προέλευση του Spinjitzu," Jaune had never checked if the process happened with the older scrolls. So he took a deep breath and opened the scroll.

*ROAR* Jaune jumped. Hearing the sound looking around, he saw a giant dragon with smaller dragons surrounding it. *SHRIEK* Jaune, hearing the sound, turned to the origin and saw the Oni. They stood there charging toward the dragons before anything could happen *BOOM* a golden beacon appeared in the center, and a figure appeared and used Spinjitzu Jaune closed his eyes at the light. When he opened them, he was back in his room, the scroll lying on the ground.

"WHAT THE FUCK!"

Authors note: For anyone that cares, the Greek means "The origin of Spinjitzu."
