Jaune Age: 13

Location: Northern Mistrailian Mountain Range

"Mystake, w-why are w-we here?" A thirteen-year-old Jaune arc asked, looking at the dangerous heights he and his master traveled to.

"Simple Jaune for training purposes," Mystake responds nonchalantly.

"No, I g-get that it's w-why are w-we at the M-mountain of a Million steps-s, the s-second tallest m-mountain in all of Remnant?" Jaune asks, shivering from the temperature, "b-because this o-outfit you g-gave me d-does nothing f-for the cold!"

"Don't be such a worrywart. I'm older than you, and I'm fine," Mystake responds, shaking off his concerns.

"You're an Oni. You can't feel cold or hot!" Jaune says his elemental power is flaring and building around him, warming him up.

"And that is why we are here," Mystake says, pointing at Jaune's flames.

"Huh," Jaune says, seeing his flames appear around him.

"Jaune, we are here to train you to use your powers for extended periods. You can only handle around ten minutes without using Spinjitzu simultaneously. So we're going to train your stamina, endurance, and how to efficiently use your Elemental Radiation," Mystake tells him, motioning him to follow her.

"Alright, so how are we going to do that?" Jaune asks, following Mystake, his powers waning as he rubs his arms for warmth.

"Simple, you will sit in a meditative position under that waterfall and evaporate the water before it can touch your skin. Do that for as long as you can, and when you can anymore, then we will stop," Mystake informs him, pointing at the waterfall with a rock underneath it.

"Alright, let's do this!" Jaune says as his flames surround him.

"Hold your horses for you to realize the correct amount of Elemental Radiation to use for your powers. The water needs to touch your skin directly," Mystake tells him, much to Jaunes confusion.

"Huh," Jaune responds, not understanding.

"I mean, take off your clothes," Mystake deadpans, 'what's the point of being eccentric and mysterious if your student can't figure it out on their own,' she complains in her thought.

"Oooh, wait but won't I catch hypothermia!" Jaune yells.

"Not if you use your elemental powers correctly. Besides, I have some 'Heatea' ready in case you need it," Mystake explains.

"I-if you say so…," Jaune trails off as he takes off his clothes, feeling the cold touch his skin. As he walks to the waterfall jumping on smaller rocks to get to waterfall, he hesitates to touch the waterfall.

"Stop being a wimp and go sit under the waterfall already," Mystake tells him as she pushes him into the waterfall.

"Ahh! Ahh! Ahh ahh," Jaune screams as he's pushed under the waterfall and the icy waters touch his skin, but before he can develop hypothermia, his flames flare up instinctively as his flames go to keep him warm.

"Good, now keep that up but remember the water can't touch your skin," Mystake reminds him.

"Got it," Jaune says as he closes his eyes and begins to take deep breaths concentrating on the feeling of the water on his back.

Jaune increased the size of his flames to keep the water from touching his skin. He didn't know how long he would last. Before feeling tired, he concentrated on his power and the water and knew his flames were beginning to falter. His breathing started to become heavier, and he had irregular breathing patterns. Before he knew it, the feeling of the water touching his back returned.

"That's enough for now," Jaune heard, realizing that Mystake had taken him out of the water and dressed him in an outfit that did keep him warm.

*Huff* "How long *huff* Did I last?" *Sigh* Jaune asks, tired and breathing heavily.

"Twelve minutes better than when we first started but still not good enough to be viable for long-term combat," Mystake informs Jaune.

"Oh…" Jaune replies, disappointed in himself, 'how am I supposed to uphold three dreams if I can't be strong.'

"Stop that,"

"Huh,"

"I know you're kicking yourself down, so stop it. We've only been together for a few months. Our time has been traveling, selling tea, or training. It's only natural that you haven't progressed, but you've still progressed greatly in that amount of time," Mystake tells him, starting sincere and then becoming confident and reassuring.

"You mean it," Jaune asks with tears in his eyes.

"Of course, besides, you had the right idea, but you did it the wrong way," Mystake tells him, giving him a cup of tea.

"What do you mean?" Jaune asks while drinking his 'Enertea.'

"You assumed the size of your flames made them hotter, but size doesn't always translate to temperature. Think about that while I get the tea ready," Mystake tells him.

"Hmm," Jaune puts his cup down and creates a fireball in his hands. He feels heat from both of them. He pushes more power into the one on the left, increasing in size and temperature. He dispels it and focuses on the one on his right hand; he remembers what Mystake told him about Elemental Radiation.

"Jaune Elemental Powers come from the essence embedded into a master's soul; this causes them to exude a type of energy called Elemental Radiation. The radiation surrounds them and is concentrated by the elemental master to activate Elemental Power allowing a master to shoot fire, lightning, water, ice, wind, and earth. It can be concentrated into a single point for either a stronger or a larger attack. This is crucial information for any elemental master, so I hope you remember it,"

Jaune understood and began to focus. He kept the fireball the same size but focused his radiation just the right amount and felt the drastic increase in heat, yet the fireball hasn't changed since Jaune first made it.

"Ah, I see you picked it up faster than I expected,"

"Huh, oh hey, so this is what you meant," Jaune says, turning to the returning Mystake.

"Yes, while it is far from perfect, it's the beginning of something great," Mystake responded.

"What do you mean?" Jaune asks, dispelling his fireball.

"If I told you how to do everything, then you'll never learn," Mystake said, rolling her eyes.

"Oh, I guess. Do I have to go under the waterfall again?" Jaune asks with a nervous smile.

"Yep," Mystake says with a mischievous smile.

"Ugh," Jaune responded, taking his clothes off again. This time he had a new strategy for concentrating his Elemental Radiation.

They trained like this for the next month, focusing on this type of training. The progress was remarkable. Jaune could go from twelve to twenty-three minutes. They would then travel to their next destination for different training.

Jaune Age: 17

Location: Vale City

'Beacon Academy, I still didn't think I'd ever make it here,' Jaune thinks, walking around the city. 'I still don't know why Mystake left me here a day before the initiation day,' he thinks, looking at a store. 'Dusk till Dawn, huh might as well see if they have any good accessories,' Jaune thought, walking into the store, not noticing the red-cloaked girl enter behind him.

Jaune spent a few minutes looking at the accessories and finding some that he thought looked cool and decided to buy them and work them into his outfit.

"Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a Dust shop open this late?" Jaune hears a voice ask in a condescending tone.

Jaune looks to the store entrance and sees a man in a bowler hat leaning over the counter as a group of identically dressed men stands behind him. The bowler hat man signals to the thugs, and they start filling canisters with the Dust on display. The store owner grabs the Dust crystals from under the counter and places them in a briefcase.

'Roman Torchwick! I have to do something,' Jaune thought before hearing a *CRASH* Jaune looked over at the source of the noise and saw a young girl standing over the unconscious body of one of the thugs and unfolding a massive scythe. As the remaining thugs and Roman walk outside to confront the girl.

Jaune smirks, puts on his hood, unsheaths Crocea Mors, and "NINJA-GO!"

"Okay, get her," Roman commands his men; the ones in the front are quickly dispatched before those closest to the back are assaulted by a mini fire tornado. The tornado stops spinning next to the red hooded girl revealing Jaune wearing his Gi and hood and hiding his face.

"You were worth every cent. Truly, you were." Roman says mockingly at the thugs now on the floor injured. "Well then, red, and I'll call you hood. This has been an eventful evening, and I'd love to stick around, but I'm a busy man, so goodbye," Roman said, raising his cane and revealing its hidden gun and shooting multiple flares at the two.

"Look out! Ninja-go," Jaune says as he spins and moves the red girl from the line of fire. "Are you okay?" Jaune asks the girl.

"Y-yeah," The girl responds.

"Good," Jaune looks around and sees Roman climbing a ladder to escape. "Are you good if I go after him?" Jaune asks the store owner, who only nods in response.

"W-wait, I can help," Jaune looks back at the red girl as she stands up.

"Fine, come on," Jaune says as he runs towards the ladder, "Ninja-go!" Jaune exclaims as he's surrounded by elemental energy and activates his Airjitzu getting to the top of the building.

"Hey," the girl shouts at Roman.

"Persistent…" Roman mumbles quietly to himself. Jaune and the girl are ready for a fight, but a Bullhead appears behind the thief before anything can start. "End of the line Hood and you, Red, I'm pretty sure it's past your bedtime," he yells over the sound of the Bullhead, throws a red Dust crystal at the ground, and shoots at it.

"Get behind me!" Jaune yells, jumping in front of the red girl in a defensive pose Crocea Mors is in front of him, ready to block.

Before anything can happen, a woman appears with a purple cape and a riding crop in her hand as a strange purple shield appears, blocking the explosion. She then waves her wand and sends purple energy pikes at the Bullhead.

Roman is thrown around in the Bullhead before rushing to the front of the vehicle. "We have a Huntress!" he yells at the pilot, taking over the controls of the Bullhead.

The Huntress then glows purple, and with a wave of her, she shoots a blue sphere and summons a blue glyph above the Bullhead shooting Ice spikes into the Bullhead, damaging the vehicle.

A mysterious woman in red appears, and her clothes start glowing as she summons flames and throws them at the Huntress. The Huntress dodges as the roof is broken. She then waves her riding crop and compacts the debris, forming them into projectiles and shooting them at the woman, who summons more fire to block the projectile.

Jaune and the red girl break out of their stupor as Jaune summons his fireballs, shooting them at the Bullhead. At the same time, the girl shifts her scythe into its gun form and shoots at the Bullhead. The mysterious woman blocks the attack and summons a giant firewall, shooting it outwards before the Huntress can react. Jaune rushes forward and compresses the fire into a single fireball before dispelling it. In the distraction, the woman and Roman escape. The three sheath their weapons and watch as the two criminals get away.

"Y-you're a huntress," the red girl says, amazed at the caped woman who turns to meet Jaune and the girl, "Can I have your autograph!?" she shouts excitedly.

"What just happened?" Jaune asks, confused, finding himself in an interrogation room sitting alone before the Huntress and some old guy walk in.

"Now, I'm sure you're wondering who I am," The man said with an enigmatic smile.

"You're Professor Ozpin, headmaster of Beacon academy, and the Huntress next to you is Glynda Goodwitch, your deputy headmistress," Jaune said, smiling behind his mask and seeing Ozpin's smile falter a bit before returning to normal.

"Well, you're probably wondering why i-"

"To admit me into Beacon academy," Jaune said, his smile growing at Ozpin's smile faltering again.

"Wh-"

"Mystake told me beforehand I've been here for a week waiting for the visit, ya know," Jaune told him, cutting the professor off for the third time.

*huff* "Of course, she did ruin my fun. Why don't you? So you understand why I'm here then," Ozpin said.

"Yup, so what happened to the girl?" Jaune asks curiously about the girl fighting against Roman and the mystery woman.

"Oh, Miss Rose is fine. We sent her home with a simple pat on the back," Ozpin said, his smile returning.

"Oh, alright, so is that it?" Jaune asked, confused as to why he was here.

"No, there is something important I have to give you. This," Ozpin says as he hands Jaune a rectangular object.

"A Scroll. Why did you have to give this to me personally?" Jaune asks, activating the Scroll, not noticing anything different with it.

"Tell me, Jaune, does an Elemental Master use Aura?" Ozpin asks, taking a sip of his cup.

"No, if Aura is unlocked before mastering Elemental Power, it can cause the Elemental Radiation to become inert and cause a loss of Elemental Power," Jaune answers.

"Quite, but now do Hunters use Aura," Ozpin asks, his smile widening.

"Yep, it's how they can shrug off nearly fatal attacks, but I don't see the correlation," Jaune responds.

"The correlation is that Aura reading technology cant read Elemental Radiation," Ozpin told Jaune, his smile clear to see.

Jaunes eyes widen as he goes to the Aura reading app, opens it, and scans his Aura levels, reading 100%. "How it shouldn't be able to do this," Jaune says, confused.

"Well, you see, Mister Arc, this Scroll was custom made by Cyrus Borg as a favor to read your Elemental Radiation as if it were Aura," Ozpin says, a victorious smile on his face.

"Okay, but why?" Jaune asks, summoning a fireball and seeing his 'Aura' levels drop by a small percentage.

"You see, Jaune, if I were to allow a student with no formal records or Aura to enter the most prestigious academy in all of Remnant, then it would seem suspicious, would it not," Ozpin explains.

"That makes sense, so is this everything," Jaune responds, dispelling the fireball as his 'Aura' levels return to 100%.

"Yes, that will be all, mister Arc. Don't be late to be picked up by the airships," Ozpin said as he stood up and left Glynda Goodwitch following behind.

Outside where Jaune couldn't hear. "Ozpin, I still don't understand why we're doing this outside where Jaune couldn't hear," Glynda tells the Headmaster.

"Simple Glynda, it's a favor for an old friend, nothing more, nothing less," Ozpin tells her.

"As much as I want to believe that I can't, and you know why," Glynda looks Ozpin in the eyes, "What are you going to do with that young man?" She asks, glaring at the Headmaster.

*Sigh* "Glynda, that young man is part of a legendary bloodline, and in the past, I've worked with them. Right now, his life is in danger. He and one other are the only ones who can still use their powers. The favor I'm doing is to keep him safe. That is all I want. If he can help me, then that's simply a benefit for me," Ozpin tells her.

"I see," Glynda says, backing off.

"That and if I tried anything, Mystake would kill me," Ozpin says, faltering a bit.

"I should've seen that coming," Glynda says, sighing, "In any event, what will we do if he fails the initiation?"

"Mystake has already informed me there is no way for him to fail. She has trained him to counter almost anything he could find in the initiation," Ozpin says with a rugged look in his eyes.

"Very well, I trust your judgment," Glynda says as the two return to Beacon.

Jaune was later released and returned to his apartment that night. Jaune tested his custom Scroll and transferred his data from his old Scroll to his new one.

Time Skip: First Day at Beacon

Location: Beacon Airships

Jaune was sitting in one of the back seats over the years of training and traveling, Jaune was able to keep his motion sickness in check, but it was still there. Not to mention Jaune's pretty sure the medication he bought was a placebo.

"Hello, and welcome to Beacon!" The recognizable voice of Glynda Goodwitch came from a hologram of the esteemed headmistress.

"Who's that?" Jaune heard a student ask. She was blond and was standing next to the girl from the fight with Roman Torchwick.

"My name is Glynda Goodwitch,"

"Oh," Jaune heard the same girl respond.

"You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy! Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace, and as future Huntsmen and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect our world," the holographic headmistress says before disappearing.

Jaune sighs, staring out the window. 'I'm here, Olive. Your dream is close to being fulfilled. Magenta, I may not be a tournament fighter, but I'm still going to become the greatest fighter in honor of your dream,' Jaune thinks as the ship descends onto Beacon.

Jaune steps out of the ship and breathes in the fresh air, his stomach feeling much better. Jaune then pulls out his Scroll and opens the downloaded map of Beacon. "Who designed this?" Jaune asks aloud, unable to read the map.

*BOOOM*

"The hell," Jaune says, looking at the explosion' someone might be in trouble,' he thinks as he rushes towards the origin of the sound. Jaune runs towards the explosion and sees a crater with debris around it, and what Jaune could detect as Dust in the crater was a person.

"Ughh…" Ruby groaned as she lay in the crater she caused. Soon the sun was blocked by the silhouette of a person standing in front of her.

"Hey, I'm Jaune," Jaune says, reaching his hand down as Ruby takes it.

"Thanks, I'm Ruby," Ruby responds.

The two are walking down the courtyard sometime later, "The map says that we should be going this way… I think," Jaune says, staring at his Scroll, confused.

"Didn't you say that last time we circled that statue?" Ruby asks, following behind Jaune.

"Look, if I knew why this map is so bad, I would try and find a different one," Jaune responded.

"So, do you have a last name, or is it just Jaune?" Ruby asks Jaune.

"Well, the names Jaune Arc. Short, sweet, rolls off the tongue, and the ladies love it," Jaune says, striking a pose.

*snicker* *Pfft* "Ha ha ha," Ruby laughs at Jaune's pose and statement.

"Hehehe. Yeah, I love using that line. It always gives me a good laugh," Jaune says, laughing at his line.

"Yeah, you remind me of those cartoon heroes who pose when they say something dramatically," Ruby says. Wiping a tear from her eyes, she notices the sword handle on Jaune's back, "oh, what kind of weapon do you have?" Ruby asks.

"Hmm, Oh, this," Jaune unsheaths Crocea Mors revealing the great golden blade, "This is Crocea Mors, the great blade of the Arc family forged and wielded by the first Arc. Passed down from generation to generation and made famous by Magnus Arc during the Great War. That was when it was given the name 'Yellow Death.' It is the weapon I now wield," Jaune says, striking another pose and speaking in a severe tone.

*clap clap clap* "That was beautiful," Ruby says, tears in her eyes.

"Thanks. This sword is special to my family and me and deserves great respect," Jaune responds.

"Yeah, it does, so I've got this," Ruby unsheathes Crescent Rose and transforms it into its scythe form.

"Wow, that's an awesome scythe, and it's also a customizable high-impact sniper rifle," Jaune says, looking at the weapon with approval.

"Yep, I built her myself," Ruby says, hugging her weapon.

"That's so cool. I might not have forged Crocea Mors myself, but I still love it like it were my own," Jaune says as he sheaths Crocea Mors, "Hey Ruby, you know the ceremony starts at noon?" Jaune asks, looking at his Scroll.

"Yeah…," Ruby responds nervously.

"It's currently 11:54," Jaune tells her.

"Oh," Ruby responds, shocked.

"Yeah, we should run," Jaune says awkwardly, pointing in the direction the map was telling him to go.

"Yup…" Ruby says, grabbing onto Jaune and activating her semblance.

"Ruby! warn me before you do that!" Jaune yells. The two rush into the hall, seeing that the ceremony hasn't started yet.

"Ruby! Over! Here!" Jaune hears and sees the blonde from the airship shouting and waving.

"Oh, sorry, Jaune, that's my sister. I got to go," Ruby says, turning to Jaune.

"It's fine. I'll see you later," Jaune tells her with a reassuring smile.

'What nice girl, but how did she not recognize me from the fight with Roman… I'll ask her later,' Jaune thought, looking for a spot to see the ceremony.

He sees an empty spot next to a redhead girl, so Jaune approaches.

"Excuse me," Jaune calls out.

"Hmph, Oh! I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention. What did you say?" The girl asks, embarrassed.

"Don't worry about it. I just wanted to ask if this spot was taken?" Jaune says, shaking his head with an apologetic smile.

"Oh, um, no, go ahead," She replies with a smile.

"Thanks," Jaune says, taking the spot.

"Yeah! And we can paint our nails, try on clothes, and talk about cute boys, like tall, blond, and slim over there!" Jaune heard a voice yell out sarcastically, seeing that a white-haired girl was pointing at him standing next to Ruby and her sister.

"Huh," Jaune responds, not knowing why he was singled out but deciding to ignore it.

"It's starting," the girl next to him said, getting his attention and looking at the stage.

"I'll... keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge, to hone your craft and acquire new skills, and when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to protecting the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose, direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step," Ozpin says in his speech, feeling like he's missing something before he leaves.

"You will gather in the ballroom tonight; tomorrow, your initiation begins. Be ready. You are dismissed," Glynda tells them as she leaves, following Ozpin.

"Huh, that was an interesting speech… I mean, I've heard worse, but it just feels off. Do you get what I mean?" Jaune asks the girl next to him.

"Yes, I think I understand what you mean. Well, I shall see you some other time," the girl says, heading to the ballroom.

"Seeya," Jaune says at her retreating form, 'crap, I forgot to ask for her name… oh well, I'll ask her next time,' Jaune thinks before he sees Ruby standing next to the white-haired girl, so he decides to approach.

"I'm a natural blonde, ya know," Jaune says with a mischievous smile.

The white-haired girl facepalms, causing Jaune to snicker.

After that, Jaune went to the male changing room and changed out of his Gi, putting it and his sword in the locker assigned to him. His pajamas were just black and red shorts and a simple tank top. He then headed out to the ballroom to find a place to get some rest.

"Hey, Jaune!" Jaune heard the recognizable voice of Ruby calling out to him. Turning to it, he saw her waving at him.

"Hey Ruby," Jaune says as he approaches, getting to the spot where his first friend and her sister are.

"Jaune, I wanted to introduce you to my sister," Ruby said, gesturing to the blonde bombshell.

"Hello blondie, the name is Yang Xai-Long Ruby's older sister," Yang said with a loud tone and bright smile.

"Hello Yang, I'm sure Ruby has already introduced me," Jaune replies with a smile.

"Actually, no, she hasn't," Yang replies, her smile shrinking.

Jaune shoots Ruby an appreciative smile, "Well, if that's the case, then allow me the name's Jaune Arc Short, sweet, rolls off the tongue, and the ladies love it," Jaune says, striking a pose and shooting finger guns.

The three stand in silence before *pfft* "Ha ha ha, That's hilarious. No wonder Ruby didn't introduce you. I would've missed that masterpiece. You're alright, Jaune. See Ruby with a friend like this who needs that grump," Yang says, turning to Ruby.

"I guess," Ruby replies, looking down.

"What grump?"

"Oh, this white-haired girl called Weiss Schnee came up to Ruby and complained to her about something blowing up. I don't know. I wasn't paying much attention to why," Yang tells Jaune.

"Oh, is she why you were laying in that crater?" Jaune asks Ruby.

The three don't notice a particular Schnee walk toward them. "Yeah, Yang left me, and I bumped into Weiss's luggage and knocked it over. I apologized, but she kept yelling at me and shaking a Dust vial in my face. The Dust made me sneeze, and then I exploded," Ruby explains.

"Excuse me! Do you have any idea what time It is?! People are trying to sleep!" Weiss yells at the three.

"OH! OUM! It's happening again!" Ruby yells, jumping into Yang's arms as Jaune gets into a fighting stance.

"Oh, not you again!" Yang and Weiss yell at the same time, eyeing each other.

"Okay, clearly, you all have a history, so I suggest we have a calm and civil conversation," Jaune says, getting in between the two girls.

"Yeah, Jaune is right. We don't want to wake the sleeping people up," Ruby says, having climbed out of Yang's arms.

"Oh, so now you agree with me!" Weiss yells at Ruby.

"I always wanted to agree with you," Ruby quietly responds, not to wake anybody up.

"What's your problem with my sister," Yang says, her eyes shifting to red before returning to lilac.

'Huh, neat, I'm not the only one whose eyes change color when they get pissed,' Jaune thought, looking at Yang's eyes.

"She's a hazard to my health!" Weiss yells at Yang.

*Groans* "ninja-go," Jaune says as he activates his Spinjitzu, causing the people observing the conversation to take a step back. Before Ruby, Yang, and Weiss can do anything, Jaune spins toward Weiss and absorbs her into his tornado before dropping her off in a random spot in the ballroom.

"Jaune, what was that?!" Yang asks, gesturing to the unconscious Weiss halfway across the ballroom.

"That was my Spinjitzu," Jaune says, casually brushing his shoulder.

"Wait a minute. You were the one who helped me against Roman!" Ruby yells, pointing at Jaune.

"Oh yeah, I was going to ask you why didn't you recognize me earlier," Jaune responds, not showing much concern for Ruby's revelation.

"Wait, this was the guy who helped you in that fight," Yang asks, pointing at Jaune.

"Yeah, we can talk about this tomorrow. I'm tired. See you in the morning," Jaune says, shocking the two sisters.

Meanwhile, a certain headmaster and headmistress watched the entire encounter in a security room full of monitors.

"Well, it seems we're going to have an interesting year," Ozpin says, taking a sip from his mug.

"Ugh, I'll go put miss Schnee in a safe environment," Glynda says, leaving the room and heading to the ballroom.

Watching Jaune's casual use of Spinjitzu was an incredible sight and proved to Ozpin that allowing Jaune into Beacon was the right decision. 'An interesting year indeed,' Ozpin thought, replaying the footage.

Location: Unknown

In a dark room, two individuals sat reviewing something, "Are you sure this is the Master of fire and not one of those Maidens?" the first one asked, holding a strange staff.

"Positive, my master, the boy, was seen with Her before he arrived at Vale," the second one replied, his hands glowing as he held onto a strange device.

"Okay, great, but why only inform me now when he's at Beacon?" the first voice asked angrily.

"You see, my master, I recently found out one of our coworkers was also planning something, and Beacon is their target. All we have to do is wait, and soon the Boy shall be ours," the second voice answered, placing the device down.

"Oh great, now we have to rely on her plan. Just great, you know how much we don't like each other!" the first voice responded in an annoyed tone.

"Yes, I know my master, but it's the safest option," the second voice said, taking a step back.

"Fine, but if I see an opening, I'm taking it, then ill be one step closer to having all the power!" the first voice responded, laughing while gazing at their staff.

"Of course, my master," the second voice said, laughing with the first voice.

Authors Note:

As you can see, a few things have changed from the cannon events. Jaune doesn't have a crush on Weiss, Ruby and Yang haven't talked to Blake yet, and Jaune and Pyhrra have technically met earlier. These differences probably won't cause too many changes in the story later on; I just wanted to include them to show a few changes were going to happen in the story. Also, writing a fighting sequence with someone using Spinjitzu was a pain. It was hard to describe it in a way that showed the effects of Spinjitzu in a fight, but hopefully, I can come up with a way to integrate this into the actual initiation better.

I said I would wait a week before making my decision, but considering the lack of reviews with answers, I decided to go with this. Now at the beginning of every chapter, there will be a section dedicated to showing Mystake training Jaune. They will be replacing the quotes that appeared in the prologue. The reason behind this is that the quotes gave a clue as to Jaune's element, and since that has already been established, I decided to replace them.

Also, for balancing reasons, Jaune doesn't have Aura. Originally I wanted to keep the reason why vague, but then I decided against this reasoning that explaining it now would save time later.

Fun fact this chapter, in terms of story content, is longer than Chapter 10 but only by a few words, so that's neat.
