Jaune Age: 13

Location: Vale Primeval's Valley

"Okay, so I've learned to naturally absorb heat, use concentrated fireballs and fire blasts, and efficiently use my Elemental Radiation. So what are we going to do now?" Jaune asks, climbing on top of a boulder.

"Jaune, today I'm going to further your Spinjitzu mastery," Mystake told him, balancing at the top of her bo staff.

"What, why?" Jaune asks, balancing on top of a stack of rocks.

"Jaune, while you can use Spinjitzu, you are far from being a Spinjitzu Master," Mystake says, jumping and landing back onto her bo staff in a different pose.

"I thought all you needed to be a Spinjitzu Master was just to unlock it," Jaune said, still on top of the rocks.

"Mastering Spinjitzu is far more complex than that young one," Mystake tells him, jumping again, landing her hand on her bo staff in an upside-down pose.

"Seriously, then what do you need to do to be a Spinjitzu master," Jaune asked, jumping and swapping the foot he was standing on.

"While you're close to your physical peak, your spiritual side is unbalanced, and your mental state is unstable," Mystake tells Jaune as she climbs down her bo staff.

"What does that mean?" Jaune asks.

"It means this," Mystake says, knocking the rock pile that Jaune was on over.

"WOAH!" Jaune yelled as he fell, attempting to land on his feet… and failing.

"That is why your spiritual and mental abilities are lacking compared to your physical aspects," Mystake tells Jaune, lying face flat on the ground in front of her.

*Groan* "... You could've just said that,"

"Eh, wouldn't have had as much of an effect if I did," Mystake tells him, pulling out a tea kettle and cup from nowhere, pouring a cup of 'Healtea' and giving it to Jaune.

"That makes sense, and I guess this means we're not training elemental powers today," Jaune says, drinking the tea.

"Yup, we'll be training your reaction time, and that's why we're here at Primevil's Valley, where the ground is so unstable, at least one avalanche happens a week," Mystake says.

"Isn't that a bit dangerous?" Jaune asks, wiping the dirt off of himself.

"And that's what makes it effective," Mystake responded with a smile.

"I'm gonna get hurt, aren't I?"

"Oh brutally," Mystake answers.

*sigh* "Alright, what's the training gonna be?" Jaune asks, mentally prepared for anything.

"Glad you asked. Your training will be in three parts. In part one, you will balance atop unstable rock pillars and safely land on the ground after I collapse them," Mystake tells him.

"That sounds excitingly dangerous," Jaune said, a bit worried.

"That's what makes it effective," Mystake responded with a cheeky smile.

"I don't have a choice, do I?" Jaune asked.

"Nope,"

*Sigh* "When do we start?"

"Training starts right now!" Mystake yells as she uses her bo staff to trip Jaune.

"... OW," Jaune says flat-faced on the floor.

"You weren't ready," Mystake says, shaking her head.

The two trained Jaune's reaction time and information processing for the day and would continue this training step for some weeks when Mystake gave him his test to pass the second step.

"Alright, it's time for your final exam. Then we can move to step two of my training," Mystake tells Jaune.

"We've trained for weeks, so what is the final exam?" Jaune asks in a different gi.

"Take this headband, cover your eyes while I throw rocks at you, and you have to stand on one foot," Mystake tells him.

"That doesn't seem that bad," Jaune says.

"The rocks are this big," Mystake tells him, holding a boulder half as giant as Jaune in each hand.

"Great! First! Spinjitzu Master! Mystake, those are the same size as me!" Jaune yells wide-eyed, looking at the boulder in Mystake's hand.

"That's what makes it challenging," Mystake told him, a cheeky smile on her face.

*sigh* "It's not like I have many choices, do I?" Jaune asks, pouting.

"Nope," Mystake replied, her smile widening, "Now put that headband on, and let's get started," she told him as Jaune sighed again.

"Alright, I'm ready!" Jaune yelled, getting in a fighting pose.

Mystake threw the first boulder. Jaune dodged it by jumping to the left and landing on his other foot. Next, Mystake threw two boulders simultaneously. Jaune sensed this, dodged the first boulder, and used a flaming Crocea Mors to slice the second boulder in half.

'Good, but there's more to this test,' Mystake thought, throwing three boulders. These were smaller and launched at faster speeds.

Mystake took four boulders before launching them; she used her powers to split them into sixteen smaller rocks and launched them at Jaune. Jaune felt the difference in the boulders and dodged most. The ones he couldn't dodge, he deflected them.

"Alright, this is the final set. If you can dodge or block these, then you pass," Mystake told Jaune.

"Well, then, come at me!" Jaune yelled excitedly.

Mystake summoned ten boulders and split them into fifty pieces, "Just so you know, I'm going to allow you to use Spinjitzu but only for five seconds," Mystake told Jaune as she launched the rocks so fast one could mistake them for bullets.

Jaune deflected most of them and dodged a few others, "NINJA-GO!" Jaune used his Spinjitzu to absorb a few, then reflected them at Mystake, who used her powers to destroy them before they could hit her.

"So, did I pass?" Jaune asks, panting as he takes off his headband.

"With flying colors," Mystake told him with a proud smile.

"Yesss!" Jaune celebrates by throwing his headband in the air.

"Hehehe, we have finished the first step in this training. Next, we move on to step two, but we can do that tomorrow. For now, you need some rest," Mystake said, seeing the sun go closer to the horizon.

"Alright, can you read me more stories of different alliances?" Jaune asks, still panting.

"Sure, now come night is approaching," Mystake responds, leading Jaune to their make-shift home.

The two returned to their home and had some tea and food Mystake read a few more books for Jaune until he fell asleep. 'His progress is incredible, but I know he won't be able to unlock his True Potential for some time, and right now, we don't have much time left,' Mystake thought, not sleeping, only keeping guard.

Jaune Age: 17

Location: Beacon

Jaune woke up looking at the clock he set up before bed. It was five fifty-five in the morning, only five minutes before his alarm. "Dang you, Mystake," he grumbled as he got up to use the bathroom.

Jaune did his usual morning rituals: use the bathroom, shower quickly, brush his teeth, and make it look like he brushed his hair. He then used his Spinjitzu to change into his Beacon uniform quickly. He exited the bathroom and saw that Ren and Pyrrha had woken up.

"Good morning," Jaune said with a wave to the two of them.

"Good morning," the two responded instantaneously.

"So, who's going to wake up Nora?" Jaune asks.

"I'll take care of it after I finish in the bathroom," Ren said, heading for the bathroom.

"So what do you expect from our first day, Jaune?" Pyrrha asked, sitting on her bed, waiting to use the bathroom.

"Eh, if it's anything like other schools, we'll be thrown head first into classes," Jaune responded, sitting down on his bed and pulling out a book.

"I suppose you're right," Pyrrha notices the book, "What are you reading?"

"Hmm, oh, it's an adventure book featuring a group of heroes traveling around Remnant fighting for good," Jaune responds, not looking up from his book.

"Sounds fun. Would you mind if I borrowed it?" She asks, wanting to know the interest of her new partner.

"Not this one, but I can lend you a different one with the same characters," Jaune told her, reaching for a cup of tea… that wasn't there before.

"Where did you get that?" Pyrrha asks, confused at his talent for pulling tea from nowhere.

"Trade secret. If you want to know, ask my master to teach you," Jaune tells her, sipping his tea.

Pyrrha giggles as Ren exits the bathroom, fully dressed. "The Bathroom is free to use now, Pyrrha," he tells her, "you might want to get in there before I wake up Nora. She can take a while in there," he warns as he approaches the still sleeping girl.

"Alright, then I'm off," Pyrrha said, entering the bathroom.

"So, how are you going to wake her up?" Jaune asked, curious to see what would happen.

"Watch and observe," Ren said with a smile. He whispered something into the redhead's ear, causing her to wake up, jumping with enough force to cause a crack in the floor.

'Going to have to ask Miss Goodwitch to fix that later,' Jaune thought, looking at the floor and smiling at seeing Nora wake up.

"Where!?" Nora yelled, looking around the room.

"I'll get you some during breakfast. Just get ready," Ren told her.

"Aww, fine," the downtrodden girl said, pouting.

"Out of curiosity, what did you tell her?" Jaune asked, staring at Ren.

"I told her I would get her some pancakes," Ren told him.

"Oh, that will be useful in the future, won't it?" Jaune asked Ren.

"More than you can ever know," Ren said, a faraway look in his eyes.

"The bathroom is free to use," Pyrrha said, stepping out of the bathroom fully dressed.

"Finally," Nora said, blitzing into the room and closing the door with a thud.

"She's, um, excited?" Pyrrha said.

"Whenever she wakes up, she needs to use the bathroom, but only when she's awake. It's strange, and we don't question it," Ren said as Jaune poured him a cup of tea.

"Alright, so when does class start?" Pyrrha asked.

"Classes start at nine. It's currently seven twelve," Jaune responded.

"We have some time for breakfast," Ren said, drinking the tea, "this is some good stuff. What is it?" he asked, turning to Jaune.

"Honey lemon dew tea, my favorite. Do you want some?" Jaune told him before turning to ask Pyrrha.

"I would love some," Pyrrha responded with a smile.

Jaune poured Pyrrha a cup of tea and handed it to her. The three drank peacefully until "Here's Nora!" Nora yelled, exiting the bathroom. "So what are we doing now?" She asked, looking around.

"Well, if you all want, we can go get breakfast. It's only seven thirty, so we have about an hour and a half," Jaune said, getting up.

"Renny promised me pancakes. Let's go!" Nora yelled, poking at Ren.

"Well, Team JNPR to breakfast!" Jaune announced, striking a pose dramatically.

"Yeah!" Nora said, posing next to Jaune. Ren smiled, and Pyrrha giggled at the scene in front of them.

The four walked out into the hall. Jaune knocked on the door opposite theirs, and Ruby opened it. "Yes, oh hey, Jaune, what's up," she said with a smile.

"We're going to the cafeteria for breakfast. Want to join?" Jaune asked his fellow team leader.

"Oh, um, we're kinda busy at the moment, maybe later," Ruby responded.

"Alright, just remember classes start at nine," Jaune told her.

"Got it. See you later," Ruby said, closing the door.

"Well, come on, we'll see her later," Jaune said, leading his team to the cafeteria.

The four got in line for breakfast. Jaune didn't get anything to drink; he already had some tea. He decided to get some fruit and toast for breakfast, not expecting to do anything that would require him to be at a hundred percent.

Ren and Pyrrha got a breakfast similar to Jaune's. With them getting drinks Ren got some water, and Pyrrha got some juice. Nora had a massive stack of pancakes drenched in syrup and some milk where she got the carton from Jaune wisely chose not to question.

"So, what's our first period?" Pyrrha asked Jaune since he had their schedules.

"Well, we've got Grimm studies first with Professor Port, then we have Botany with Professor Peach, Weapons care with Professor Peach-"

"Professor Peach has two classes?" Ren asks, his eyebrow raised.

"Yes, but there are two Professor Peach one is James Peach, who teaches Weapons care and Aura mastery. And Celestia Peach, who teaches Botany and Dust studies speaking of which Dust study is our fifth," Jaune tells his green clade teammate.

"Oh well, I was technically correct in my statement," Ren replied.

"Which is the best kind of correct!" Nora said the stacks of pancakes were wholly gone.

"Back to the topic, History with Professor Oobleck is our fourth. Lunch, then Dust studies with Professor Celestia Peach. Then, Combat classes with Professor Goodwitch. After that, it's a free period except for team leaders. They have leadership classes with Professor Port. The last class is Aura Mastery with professor James Peach." Jaune said, giving his teammates their schedules.

"You can also talk to Professor Goodwitch if you want an elective for your seventh. I am emailing you all digital versions of your schedules in case you lose them," Jaune said, typing something on his Scroll.

"Well, you certainly have this planned out," Pyrrha complimented.

"Thanks, but it was mostly in the email sent to team leaders," Jaune responded.

"We should probably head out now. We've got twenty minutes till first-period rings in fifteen minutes," Ren said, putting his and Nora's trays away.

"Good idea Ren. I would hate to be late on our first day," Jaune said, getting up to put away his and Pyrrha's tray.

The four headed towards Grimm's studies, with Professor Port arriving ten minutes before the bell and taking seats, waiting for the class to start. About three minutes before, the bell team, RWBY, burst in and quickly took the seats in front of them.

"Cutting it close, aren't you?" Jaune asks his fellow team leader with a playful smile.

"We may have gotten a bit distracted," Ruby responds awkwardly, laughing.

"Alright, if you say so, by the way, you might want to bring a pillow," Jaune says with a knowing smile.

"What?" his team and RWBY ask with varying expressions.

"You'll see," Jaune says, a mischievous smile on his face as he leans back, hands behind his head.

Thirty Minutes Later

"The moral of this story? A true Huntsman must be honorable!" Professor Port exclaims after his long-winded story.

An irritated Weiss looks over at Ruby and Jaune, competing to keep a pencil balanced on their noses.

"A true Huntsman must be dependable!" Professor Port said.

Weiss glared over at Ruby, and Jaune, who were asleep. Jaune had a pillow under his head.

"A true Huntsman must be strategic, well-educated, and wise!" Professor Port finished looking at the class.

Weiss's eye violently twitches as Ruby is not so subtly picking her nose. At the same time, Jaune is cleaning his ear and looking at what he pulls out.

"So, who among you believes yourself to be the embodiment of these traits?" Professor Port asks, looking at the class.

"Oh, oh, oh me, pick me!" Jaune says, waving his hand around like a madman Before a particular snow white could.

"Well, then, someone is excited. Now let's find out!" Professor Port says as the cage close to his desk shakes violently.

"Alright!" Jaune says, front flipping towards the Professor using his Spinjitzu as he lands in a completely different outfit.

"Woah!"

"Awesome!"

"So cool!"

Some random students I don't feel like giving names to say seeing Jaunes display.

"Woah, blondie, is that a new outfit?" Yang asks, seeing the outfit.

"Oh, not really. I've had this outfit and decided to use it for this," Jaune said.

His outfit was a red gi similar to the one from the initiation. The significant difference was a golden print dragon on the right side of the suit, its head and front claws visible on the shirts, and its tail coiling around the front of the pants.

"I call it my DX suit," Jaune said, unsheathing Crocea Mors and igniting its blade posing.

"Well, whatever it's called, I think it looks awesome!" Ruby yelled, cheering Jaune.

*cough* "Ahem, if you are done, Mister Arc, we can continue," Professor Port interrupts.

"Oh, right, sorry," Jaune chuckles, scratching the back of his head.

"Now then, get ready!" the Professor announces as Jaune gets in a fighting pose as his team and three-fourths of team RWBY cheer for him. Weiss was silently fuming in the corner of her desk, glaring at Jaune.

Jaune takes a deep breath as flames emanate from his head, eyes, and on his left arm. A Boarbatusk in its spinning form rushes out of the cage, rushing at Jaune. Jaune dodges to the side, launching a few small fireballs at the Boarbatusk, sending it flying.

"Jaune! Go for its belly! There's no armor on it!" Ruby yells at him.

"Thanks!" Jaune yells as he rushes towards the Boarbatusk, "NINJA-GO!" Jaune uses his Spinjitzu and slices the Boarbatusk in half, killing it instantly.

"Bravo! Bravo! It appears we are indeed in the presence of a true Hunter-in-training!" Professor Port says, clapping as the school bell rings. "I'm afraid that's all the time we have for today. Be sure to cover the assigned readings, and stay vigilant! Class dismissed!" he tells the class as they exit.

The members of team RWBY and NPR meet outside the classroom. "Wait, where's Jaune?" Pyrrha asks, looking around.

"I'm right here," Jaune said, appearing behind everyone.

"Aahh!"

"Woah!"

"Hold me!"

Three members of the friend group yelled. You can guess who said what. The rest either didn't react or were able to control their reactions.

"Jaune, how did you do that?" Pyrrha asks, her hand over her chest.

"Did what?" Jaune asks, deadpanning.

"This! Disappearing and Reappearing thing?!" Ruby asks, waving her hand at Jaune.

"Oh, that well, I'm a ninja, duh," Jaune says like it's the most normal thing in the world.

"That reminds me, how did you change your outfit instantly," Yang asks, staring at Jaune.

"Ninja secret," Jaune responds.

"Of course it is," Yang deadpans.

*Gasp* "Renny! Can you do that!?" Nora asks the magenta-eyed teen shaking him violently.

Weiss, who had been quietly seething the whole time, had enough and stormed off.

"Sheesh, what's with her?" Jaune asks, looking at the furious ice queen.

"I should go after her," Ruby says, going after Weiss.

"Well, we should probably head towards our second period," Jaune says.

"Yeah, probably," Nora responds, still shaking Ren.

"Let's go!" Jaune says, leading his team to the next period.

"Soo, can you change your clothes quickly," Yang asks Blake.

Blake gives Yang a deadpan expression before following after team JNPR.

"I'll take that as a no," Yang says, rushing after Blake.

"Has the boy entered a capturable position yet?" The man with the staff impatiently asks.,

"Not yet, my master. It has only been one day," The man with the book responds.

"Oh, why is it taking so long?" The first man asks, stomping his foot.

"Because he is still being watched by others when he is alone, then we can strike," The second man tells the first man.

"Oh, how long is that going to take?" The first man asks in a tone reminiscent of an immature child.

'and he wonders why he doesn't get praised,' The second man thought, deadpanning at his master. "It is hard to say, master but rest assured I will be keeping track of him and inform you of any opportunities that may come," the second man said, appeasing his master.

"Oh fine, that reminds me, how is the noodle business going?" the first man asks.

"We are at a thirty percent increase since last year. All other noodle brands in Vale have either shut down or been bought up well except one," The second man tells him, reviewing the information from his Scroll.

"We must be the top noodle sellers! Find out who this one is and either buy them up or force them to retire!" The first voice ordered.

"I shall ensure it, master," the second replied, bowing.

"Good," the first voice said before laughing maniacally.

"Please," Joules begs Julius on her knees.

*Sigh* "Joules, I said no already. End of discussion," Julius responds with a hand massaging his forehead.

"Come on, please don't be a meanie," Joules says, her begging intensifying.

"No,"

"Please,"

"No,"

"Please,"

"No,"

"Please,"

*Sigh* "Fine, you get one," Julius finally relents.

"Yesss! Hit it!" Joules yells to the other members of the alliance.

Nicholas is on the drums, Fluss is on the piano, Saxum as the lead bass, Bagyo as the double bass, and Joules as the lead singer.

"Wait, how did you set this up so quickly?" Julius asks, seeing the others.

"NINJA!" they all respond simultaneously.

"I should've seen that coming," Julius said, facepalming.

"Alright guys, just like we practiced one, two, and three," Joules told the others.

They all start playing as Joules bobs her head and starts singing.

We are from near and far

Connected yet unseen

We are the inevitable fall of Remnants enemies

But still

We can't stop from thinking of the weekend

We are Remnant

And everybody knows

We are Remnant

If you're part of the crew

And believe like we do in your own way

We are Remnant

We are the first on the scene

When danger is unleashed

We are all part of the team

We're taking down the enemy

Taking down the enemy

Can't stop the feeling

Our hearts are beating loud

We are Remnant

And everybody knows

We are Remnant

If you're part of the crew

And believe like we do in your own way

We are Remnant (Remnant, Remnant, Remnant, Remnant)

Remnant

Remnant

Remnant

(Remnant)

I've got the pieces, so I'll try

I've got the pieces, so I

I've got the pieces, so I'll try

I've got the pieces, so I

I've got the pieces, so I'll try

I got the pieces, so I

I've got the pieces, so I'll try

So I'll try

We are Remnant

This is Remnant

It's time for Remnant

If you're part of the crew

And believe like we do in your own way

We are ninja

The five end their song.

"So, what did you think?" Joules asks.

"I liked it," Julius says, clapping.

*GASP*

"No, we're still not starting a band," Julius says before Joules can say anything.

"Dang it!"

Authors Note:

I'm going, to be honest. The chapter ended there because I couldn't think of anything to write after that without it feeling bloated to me.

Also, I decided to include the Omake based on a quote used in the prologue chapters.

See yall next chapter.
