To Lyger 0: And probably in at least a couple everywhere else on the planet. Adrien isn't quite as big of a name in the world of modeling now (he dropped back to a more manageable level after taking over the company), but he's still a big name in fashion marrying the top rising star fashion designer of her age (largely by default). And he's Hawk Moth's son.

"That was such a wonderful ceremony!"

"Marinette put a lot of effort into it – you have no idea how much she did to get it ready. And especially with the Tarasque disrupting everything…"

"I know what you mean; the Tarasque seemed to disrupt everything for a few months. And especially with all that illness that was going around."

"Of course, Marinette had started working on planning her wedding… years ago. Although a lot of things changed over the last year or so, after Emilie woke up."

"Emilie?"

"Adrien's mother. She was in a magical coma for years until Ladybug and Cat Noir figured out how to revive her."

"Oh… I remember hearing something about that. I just – I guess it wasn't as important at the time."

Francisco hummed, listening in on Marina's conversation with Sabrina. No sooner had they found their assigned table for the reception than Sabrina had introduced herself and started asking Marina about the baby. Taking Marina's hand in his own, Francisco's stomach flipped, watching the two of them move from discussing baby furniture to the wedding. On Sabrina's other side, Max leaned forward to refill Sabrina's waterglass, smiling affectionately at her. Two other couples had been seated at the table with them: Kim and his fiancée Ondine, along with a dark-skinned boy and girl who appeared to be a year or two younger than the others, who had introduced themselves as Alan and Aeon. First seeing them, Francisco had paused, studying Alan's face a little more closely: he couldn't quite put his finger on it, but something about him seemed familiar.

Slipping one of the smaller meat pies off the table and into his pocket, Francisco's stomach clenched in embarrassment. He had been able to mask it well enough at the ceremony, but here it was far more obvious: apart from Adrien and Marinette, he could only recognize four of the Agreste employees seated at a table on the far side of the pavilion, closer to the Eiffel Tower, whom he had only seen twice on his one trip to Paris when he first took the job at Agreste. And Marina knew even less people here than he did; she had only met Marinette before today. But listening to her and Sabrina talk, it was as though they were old friends. Max and Sabrina had made them feel welcome as soon as they sat down, giving them introductions and including them into the conversation.

"Before her apparent death, Emilie Agreste was a fixture in the Paris social scene," Max explained. "An actress and model, married to one of the most important fashion designers in the city. Her reappearance after all that time was the news story in Paris for the next two months."

Marina raised an eyebrow. "I assume it was good for Marinette, then? Meeting her new mother-in-law, I mean."

Sabrina smiled. "The way they get along, you'd think Emilie had known Marinette for years before she and Adrien started dating – not that they had only met after the engagement!"

Marina nodded slowly, looking around the park. Three full buffet tables were spread around the dance floor, with at least a hundred tables of guests beneath the pavilion tents. A band had set up to one side, next to a sound system where Nino had set a playlist to pump music loud enough to be heard back in Spain. An enormous cake taller than a person waited under its own tent to be cut. "Still, it is amazing that they were able to put all of this together while the Tarasque was disrupting everything. I don't know if I would have been able to concentrate on something like that."

Kim, his arm draped over his fiancée's shoulder, let out a roaring laugh, raising an eyebrow. "Of course, it's not like Marinette had anything better to do while the Tarasque was running around and its poison was spreading…"

Ondine elbowed him in the ribs, giving him an annoyed look. "Can you just not help yourself?" she wondered, one corner of her lips twitching upward. "I feel like it must be a compulsion for you."

Sabrina stifled a laugh. "You'd actually be surprised just how much sewing Marinette managed to accomplish when she really couldn't leave the house!"

"I have observed her to be very focused when she has a task to accomplish," mused Aeon, nodding. "Especially when it involves sewing!"

"Well, all of the effort was definitely worth it," Marina observed. "That dress was absolutely gorgeous! The crystals, and the way they caught the light…"

"She designed and made it herself," Sabrina replied, nodding in agreement. "It's something she had been working on, on and off, for the last few years – even before they were engaged. She told me she didn't let the seamstresses at Agreste do more than make a few notes for alterations – and that only because she couldn't see the back of the dress herself while wearing it!"

"I asked her to make my wedding dress," Ondine noted, shaking her head ruefully. "Apparently, I was, like, the fifth person from our year to ask! She said she would add it to the list, but that it would take a few months to get to it. Good thing we're planning to wait for next summer, huh?"

Kim pressed a kiss to her forehead, running a hand down her arm. "We're in no rush to tie the knot. I already know I'm spending the rest of my life waking up next to the hottest woman in Paris!"

Marina's eyes widened, and she stared at Ondine in surprise. "Wait, really?" She let out a breath, her gaze drifting over to Francisco. "Are–are a lot of your school classmates getting married then?"

Kim nodded incredulously. "Those that didn't get married already in Angola. There were a couple of those. And a few of them are planning to have a ceremony now since things have calmed down."

"And then there are those who have gotten engaged since the Tarasque's defeat," Max added, squeezing Sabrina's hand tenderly. Sabrina held out her other hand, showing them the ring: a small diamond in a simple setting.

"I am sorry we were not present for your engagement," Alan apologized.

Aeon nodded. "We were so busy in Africa then – but we would have come if we had known."

Max smiled regretfully. "I apologize for not informing you," he replied. "It was… spontaneous. At least in regards to the timing. We had discussed it before, but I wished to wait until Mother was back before asking, and to do it with Sabrina's parents there, as well."

Sabrina reached over and put a hand on Alan's. "But whenever the wedding itself happens, you can be sure that we'll wait until you can be there."

"I'm really excited for you guys!" Ondine cooed, smiling brightly. Leaning forward, she took Sabrina's hand to examine the ring more closely. "Have you set a date yet? Do you want to get married before…?" She waved her hand vaguely through the air.

"Thanks!" Sabrina leaned into Max and let out a small groan. "Truthfully, we haven't really decided yet. We've talked about having the wedding first – we could have a small ceremony beforehand with Chloe's father, and then we could have a reception next year, after the baby's born. But we don't have too many months left if we're going to do that."

Marina hummed. "I suppose that would be a lot of planning to do while pregnant," she agreed. "Especially if you were to have, well, this." She waved a hand to encompass the whole pavilion. Her hand drifted down to settle on her belly. "Though I think it would be worth it anytime." She chuckled. "Just because you're pregnant doesn't mean you become an invalid."

"Thank you!" Sabrina turned to Max and raised an eyebrow meaningfully. "What have I been telling you for the last month?"

"Given what happened only a couple weeks ago, I consider precautions to be prudent," Max pointed out calmly, giving her a look.

"Did you ever figure out why?" asked Kim, furrowing his brows.

Sabrina shrugged helplessly. "As best I can tell, Lila was trying to get to Chloe through me. I don't think she knew about… any other extenuating circumstances."

"You were lucky," Ondine muttered, shuddering. Kim held her tightly against his side, wrapping his arms around her protectively, and nodded, his jaw clenched tightly.

"What happened?" asked Francisco, furrowing his brows.

Max made a face. "The Heroes of Paris discovered the identity of Killer Bee. Consequently, Killer Bee threw the entire city into utter chaos in an ultimately-unsuccessful attempt to flee the city during the confusion. Unfortunately, much of the city was caught in the crossfire. Including Sabrina – as well as Ondine."

Ondine let out a breath. "And to think I almost liked Lila at one time…" she grumbled.

Alan shook his head, his mouth turning down into a frown. "I am sorry that I was unavailable to assist then," he told Sabrina. "Especially when they tried to harm you."

Aeon nodded in agreement. "However, if anything like that happens again, we will be sure to return, right away."

Sabrina smiled. "I can take care of myself, you know," she pointed out to them.

"I think we are all aware of that," Max replied, raising an eyebrow at her. "But we care too much to allow you to be hurt."

Marina sighed, watching them talk. Francisco swallowed, finding Marina's hand on the table and giving it a gentle squeeze. Marina's mouth turned down into a slight frown, her eyes trailing over to pause on Sabrina's hand. After a moment, however, she took Francisco's hand and squeezed it back, looking over at him with shining eyes.

"You know I love you, with all my heart," he murmured softly in Spanish, leaning in a little closer to her.

She gave him a small smile and nodded. "And I love you," she responded, sighing.

The music over the sound system stopped abruptly, as Kitty Section started playing their next song. Aeon cocked her head to one side, listening intently. Around them, people started leaving their tables and moving toward the cleared dance floor in the middle of the pavilion. Near the center, Francisco could see Marinette dancing with her father. "I have always enjoyed this song," she commented, glancing at Alan. "Although I am unsure of the meaning behind the lyrics."

"Luka wrote this song about Kagami," Sabrina explained to her. "Before they started dating, in fact."

"That's so romantic!" Ondine sighed, raising an eyebrow at Kim. "Why don't you ever write songs for me?" she teased.

"I hypothesize that if Kim did write a song for you, it would be so traumatizing that you would break up with him!" Max interjected, giving Kim an amused look.

Kim scoffed. "I could, too, write a song!" he retorted. His eyes flashed. "Do you dare me to write a love song?"

Ondine blinked. "What have I started?" she muttered under her breath.

Aeon looked over at Alan. "I have not been able to determine a proper dance to accompany this song – the meter and melody do not align properly with any dance with which I am familiar."

"You know," Sabrina told her, "dancing is as much about hearing and reacting to the music as it is about the technique."

"Technique is so much simpler to learn," Aeon pointed out.

"Do you wish to dance?" Alan asked her.

Aeon paused for a moment but nodded. "I would like to make the attempt," she answered. "Have you ever danced before?"

He shook his head. "It is not part of my programming."

"'Programming'?" Francisco repeated to himself, furrowing his brows. Max quirked an eyebrow in amusement.

"It is not difficult," Aeon assured Alan, standing up. "I will teach you."

Sabrina stifled a laugh, as Alan hesitated. "Go on; I think you'll have fun," she told Alan.

"If you say so, Mother…"

Francisco quirked an eyebrow, looking back and forth between Alan and Sabrina. After a pause, Alan allowed Aeon to pull him to his feet and followed her into the crowd on the dance floor. Within moments, they were out of sight. Shortly, Kim and Ondine stood up and started dancing near the edge of the crowd. Still seated, Marina started bobbing her head in time with the music, watching the dancing, enraptured. Francisco placed his hand on her shoulder and smiled, though after a moment the smile faded, to be replaced with confusion.

Finally, Max chuckled. "Sabrina is not really his mother," he told Francisco.

"I, um, figured."

"He just thinks of me as his mother," Sabrina explained, smiling warmly. "It's… cute."

"Huh." Francisco shrugged, glancing over at Marina. He smiled, holding out his hand to her. "May I have this dance?"

She let out a breath and smiled back, taking his hand. "If you don't mind dancing with a pregnant woman."

He pressed his lips to her hand, guiding her in the direction of the dancing. "When she's pregnant with my child?" he murmured. "I wouldn't want to dance with anyone else."
