Adrien gave Marinette's hand a squeeze before slipping his hand around to the small of her back, guiding her off of the dance floor toward the head table. Behind them, Alya and Nino continued to dance exuberantly near the middle of the crowd. The guests parted in front of Adrien and Marinette, clearing a path for them to leave. Marinette paused, giving one of the seamstresses at Agreste a warm hug while Adrien turned to look out over the party. On the far side, Kitty Section had switched to another song – after Adrien had joined them for "The Heart of the Storm," Luka had shifted into another song so Adrien and Marinette could dance together. Once the rest of the guests had started dancing, the floor had become far more crowded. Not far from Nath and Marc, Adrien spotted Felix's light blond hair, Bri's bright pink hair just visible next to him. Adrien smiled. They had considered changing their wedding party to include Bri as a bridesmaid, but in the end had left it as-is. Not that Felix or Chloe had especially minded being paired up, though Felix had spent half the meal watching Bri, sitting at the next table with his mother, Tante Amelie, Tom, Sabine, Gorilla, and Tom's parents. Not that Adrien could particularly blame Felix; if he had to sit apart from Marinette for something like this, he would probably spend most of his time searching for Marinette in the crowd.

And yet, it still shocked Adrien whenever he considered the change in his cousin over the last year. Was it really just because Felix had become a hero and received a miraculous? Or was it because of the woman with whom he was now dancing? Privately, Adrien suspected both.

Felix and Chloe had danced together for the first song of the party, though almost as soon has it had ended, Chloe had slipped away to find her date, Henri. At the moment, Adrien could just see the two of them on the opposite side of the dance floor together. Not long after, Bri had found Felix and the two of them had started dancing. Alan and Aeon swayed together, close to the edge of the dance floor. Not too far away, Kagami, drifted slowly around the center of the dance floor, her movements as smooth and fluid as if she were fencing, though she was dancing alone. Seeming to mirror her course on the other side of the room was Mira, who had paused to talk to Mme Bustier, though her eyes continued to roam around the pavilion.

As the music swelled, Adrien felt Marinette's hand find his on her side, turning in toward him. Glancing over at his bride, Adrien smiled, pressing a kiss to her lips. Marinette beamed brightly, her cheeks pink, and wrapped her arms around his neck, leaning into and extending the kiss. Someone whistled nearby, though Adrien only grinned, sliding his hand up higher to rest on her shoulders. After a long moment, she pulled away, her cheeks a deeper shade of pink, and stared deeply into his eyes, though behind the joy in her eyes, he could still see that tiny hint of discomfort, the wince at the corner of her mouth that he had noticed at the end of the last song.

"You know, we could stay out a little longer," Marinette pointed out, settling into his side and snaking her arm around his back. "I know you could dance all afternoon!"

Adrien chuckled, pressing a kiss to her temple. "I could," he agreed, "but somehow I don't think you could, Bug." He raised an eyebrow. "Unless you have a different pair of shoes you can change into."

She rolled her eyes. "I'm fine."

"I think your feet say otherwise."

"I don't know why you have to be so tall," she pouted, her lips quirking up in amusement.

"No one said you had to be the same height as me today," he pointed out, poking her waist.

With a giggle, Marinette squirmed. "But if I didn't have heels, I'd look like a child next to you!"

"I don't think anyone could think that," he told her wryly. Frowning, he let out a breath. "It's been years since either of us has really been a child."

She nodded, placing a hand on his cheek. "Kitty," she murmured, "it's not your fault." Her mouth turned up in a smile. "Besides, I wouldn't change anything about the life I've had since we were chosen."

Adrien swallowed, leaning in to give her another tender kiss. "I wouldn't, either," he agreed. "Not about us at least."

She smiled, leaning into his side, and shifted her weight from one foot to another. "They might not be the most comfortable shoes on the market, but I like being on the same level with you."

"Believe me, my Lady," he whispered, nibbling her ear, "you've never been on the same level as me." His hand trailed up to her bare shoulder blades, eliciting a shiver. "You've always been so far above me, I could only ever hope to bask in your radiance."

Marinette shivered, turning to him and resting her cheek against his chin. "You know that's not true, Kitty."

He smiled, finding her arm with his other hand, and started moving them back and forth. Matching his motion perfectly, Marinette swayed in time with the beat, kissing him just below the chin. He rubbed gentle circles on her arm, and she slipped her other hand up to play with his hair. "We may have to agree to disagree on that one, Princess."

Slowly they danced, as around them the party raged. Adrien caught a glimpse of his mother, dancing with Tom, not far from Marinette's grandparents – only the third time Adrien had actually seen Gina and Rolland displaying any affection toward each other. Finally, Kitty Section finished the song, and Nino took his place behind the microphone, hitting the button to start the next song in his playlist. Luka found Kagami, and the two of them started dancing, while Alya went to sit with Sabrina and Max. Adrien let out a breath, smiling, and squeezed Marinette tighter.

Finally, they pulled apart and continued toward the head table. They had only made it another few dozen paces before Claire stopped them.

"Are you enjoying the reception?" Marinette asked, giving her a quick hug.

Claire smiled. "Absolutely," she assured her, looking back and forth between Marinette and Adrien. "This has been such a wonderful day!"

"All thanks to Marinette!" Adrien replied, kissing her temple.

Marinette giggled. "Not just me…"

Claire sighed affectionately. "I've always thought the two of you are just the most adorable couple I've ever seen!" she gushed. "And Paxx says you've always been like this."

"Trust me, Dovey," grumbled Plagg, poking his head out of Adrien's suit pocket and pushing Adrien and Marinette apart a couple centimeters, giving Claire a deadpan look. "They were a thousand times worse than this before they started dating. Only then it was just the constant pining."

Adrien's eyes widened nervously, and he poked the Kwami's head back down, glancing around the pavilion furtively, searching for anyone who might have been paying attention. Almost everyone there knew their secret… but not everyone. "Plagg!" he hissed.

"Oh, it's okay," Claire assured him, waving a hand dismissively. She shifted slightly to one side, placing herself between Plagg and most of the other guests. Dancing sedately with Marina nearby, Francisco looked up at the movement. Claire smiled in amusement. "His head blends in well enough with your suit that no one would give him a second glance."

"Hmm… Almost as if someone planned it that way…" Marinette added, raising an eyebrow at him.

Adrien grinned. "What did I ever do to deserve you?" he wondered, pulling her into a deep kiss.

"More like what did I do to deserve this torture…" a disgruntled voice muttered from Adrien's suit, almost immediately followed by a pained yowl and soft, high-pitched squeaks.

"So," Claire asked a couple minutes later, once they broke apart, "I've been dying to ask: What are your honeymoon plans? Leaving right away, or planning to wait a couple days first? Everyone is curious, and you've been rather cagey on the subject. After all, you didn't exactly get a honeymoon last time…"

Adrien stifled a laugh, raising an eyebrow. "I mean, we did get a six-week stay in a tropical climate…" Marinette elbowed him playfully in the ribs. He grinned sheepishly. "Actually, I haven't even told Marinette yet," he explained. "I wanted it to be a surprise."

She placed one hand on his chest. "Adrien asked me to give him a few ideas of where I wanted to go, and said he would surprise me with one. Although considering that you said to pack swimsuits, I think I can guess…" she added in a singsong voice.

Adrien winced. "Actually, we hit a bit of a snag with it," he told her, letting out a heavy sigh. She furrowed her brows in confusion. Adrien glanced back and forth between her and Claire, shaking his head in frustration. "I rented a beach house on the Riviera, not far from Cannes." Marinette's eyes widened in excitement. "Unfortunately, the house had some storm damage last week, and they need to make repairs." Marinette's face fell. He placed his hands on her shoulders. "They said it'll be repaired by the end of the week, so we can still go there for next week. But for this week…" He shrugged helplessly. Marinette's shoulders slumped. "I'm sorry, my Lady."

She shook her head. "No; it's not your fault; that's… something that happens. I just… what are we supposed to do with this week?" She furrowed her brows in thought. "I do have a few commissions I could work on – a couple of wedding dress designs, an outfit Jagged wants for his American tour…"

"You can't work on your honeymoon!" Claire objected, her eyes widening. "It's supposed to be a vacation."

"You work so much already," Adrien pointed out, squeezing her shoulder. "You deserve a full two weeks off."

"So, what? Do we just stay around the Mansion?" Marinette arched an eyebrow at him dubiously. "That doesn't sound all that exciting or relaxing to me…"

"Well, where would you like to go, Mme Agreste?" asked Adrien, kissing her cheek. "We can take a different trip for this week, and then go to the Riviera next week."

Marinette furrowed her brows in thought. "Somewhere new and different, I think."

"That doesn't narrow it down too much," Adrien pointed out. "We've been to Australia, America, Angola, Tibet… maybe we can visit China together?"

Pursing her lips, Marinette shook her head. "Maybe someday," she allowed. "But not now – just getting the permits for it would take longer than we have. Japan could be fun, but…" She shrugged.

"Hawaii?"

"I think I'd rather go somewhere a little… closer to home," Marinette replied. "Maybe somewhere in Europe?"

Claire hummed. "You know," she mused, "I do remember Paxx telling me about an old Atlantean outpost along the Mediterranean. Back when I was chasing the Bat across Libya and Tunisia. We didn't have time to check it out then, but now…" She shrugged. "It could be interesting. Of course, Paxx wasn't really sure where that outpost had been, so I don't know how we would find it."

Close to them, Francisco cocked his head to one side. Marina furrowed her brows in a question, but Francisco gave her a quick kiss of the cheek and whispered something in her ear. With a nod, she released his hand and walked back toward their table.

Marinette got a calculating look in her eye. "Maybe the Kwamis don't know where those outposts would be," she began, "but what about Atlantis itself? Maybe they can lead us there."

Plagg scoffed, poking his head out of Adrien's pocket again, and shook his head. "Won't work, Bug," he told her. "When I… dusted the city, it unleashed a massive tidal wave, to say nothing of all the seismic activity throughout the region. Everything got moved around. Odds are, the wreckage isn't anywhere near where the city originally was."

Marinette's shoulders fell in disappointment. "That's too bad."

Adrien rubbed her shoulder consolingly. "We'll think of somewhere to go."

"Hang on," Francisco interjected, moving closer to them and raising an eyebrow. "You need to find a location?" Marinette nodded. "I might be able to help with that. Back when I first started, I found a sextant that, at least according to Perry, can lead you to any location with perfect accuracy."
